Dear Anna,

I am not sure if Mr. Sallow is actually a ghost! He seems to be here some days and then jokes about his passing the others. But if it is one of the rare cases of returning back to the land of the living, then I am rather curious myself as to how he accomplished that! Perhaps I should pay Mr. Sallow a visit, thank you for planting this idea in my disembodied head!

So this fic doesn't have a name - that's why it's all initials. Kingsley Shacklebolt, Nymphadora Tonks, fanfic, time travel, version #1. Not exactly a sexy title but it's in my WIPs. I meant to write and finish it last year but I had way too many other projects going on.

The idea behind this fic is that Kingsley and Tonks are inspecting the Department of Mysteries after Arthur's attack in '95 and they're sent back in time by an Unspeakable (which they don't realize until they show up in 1979 and are super confused).

I've got a couple scenes planned, as well as some backstories. This is a scene from where Kingsley - newly renamed Kingston - connects with his sister, Regina, and is passed off as a cousin. Regina is conveniently Andromeda Tonks's bestie, and Regina is also the mother of Angelina Johnson! Oh yeah, it's all coming together. Here's a snippet of a scene I have - it's unedited, tbd if it will see the light of day, but here it is all the same!

Right, then—”

“—Nymue. That’s not her name, is it?”

“You can’t say anything,” Kingsley warned. “Not to anyone.”

“Not even her mother?” Regina’s hands were on her hips. Before, when Kingsley was a teenager, she seemed more terrifying. 

“I don’t know . . . I can tell her to be more discreet with her hair colors.”

“She looks like her mother.”

Kingsley rubbed his face with his palm. He didn’t know what they’d do if or when Tonks met her family. She was itching to see them, but no plan had been set.

“We’ll see, Regina.”

“Which house does Angelina go to?”

Kingsley smirked. While he’d been a Ravenclaw, his sister had been a Slytherin. When Angelina was sorted as a Gryffindor, it shocked them both.

“You’ll be proud of her, and that’s all I’m saying.” He grinned at his sister’s exasperation and added, “It’ll take all the fun out of it.”

She shook her head and mumbled about ‘pain-in-the-arse’ brothers. Reaching out to smack him lightly on the arm, she turned her nose up.

“These robes won’t do. Go to Madam Malkin’s and put the order through my account. I’ll write to her to let her know to expect you.”

“Thank you—I thought I’d have to wait till I had enough gold.”

“I appreciate your pride, Kings, but I’m still your big sister and it’s my job to take care of you.”

no, this wasn't taken right after i realised i was trans and wanted to grow my hair out, this was a year ago and i had longer hair than even now back then. i shaved it all off for the single reason of testing my hacked-toy-electroencephalogram. which was not even a complete success (it was good, just did not have much precision) (version 2 will allow me to keep my hair)

Dragonflight Season 3 Summary

It's that time again, I've achieved my major S3 goals for Dragonflight! Keystone master early on, Heroic fyrakk a fair bit later, and a new one this time around - a vicious mount from pvp!

Sathir, Holy and Retribution Paladin:

Healed some lovely mythics this season, a lot less than I used to but still had a great time, it's been such a lovely pool of dungeons this time around. Both Dawn of the Infinite wings, Waycrest, Atal'dazar, Everbloom, Throne of Tides - just amazing dungeons tbh. The set bonus for holy has been such a blast too, Daybreak is my new beloved.

Amirdrassil has been a wonderful raid to run, normal definitely felt quite easy but heroic has been one hell of a challenge, but the bosses felt very managable. Not an excess of confusing mechanics, just a few major ones that interact nicely. Each boss has a clear, understandable 'theme' to the way you play it, it really clicks with me. Dragonflight raids have been such a step up even from the high standards of previous expansions. Favourite boss might be Tindral? Or Smolderon? Or Nymue? Or Volcoross? Just too many solid ones to pick a single favourite nlg <3

I got to heal quite a bit more this time around! Did a fair number of heroic kills as holy paladin when we had some healer shortages for a few weeks running. It was really great fun, and I'm keen to do more in the future if I can.

PvP? In my World of Warcraft? It's more likely than you think!

Ever since they added Solo Shuffle at the end of Shadowlands, I've been messing around with it on and off, but this season I really wanted to make it to 100% on the vicious mount farm. And I did! PvP lets me have the one thing I truly desire the most from Holy Paladin - a ranged dps holy power spender.

I shall now retire for 10,000 years (and then go into end-of-xpac achievment hunting mode)
