sam, two months into his life, had his mother die over his crib. this made his father, who presumably wasn’t even that good to begin with, so much worse!! terribly worse!!

sam had hardly been raised, he ran from the small life he had. sure, he hadn’t had pre-hell trauma! but!! why are we, as a group, ignoring his childhood? i do not have the time to dive into that right now but!! damn. he was never settled down, never had a case of normalcy. he got bullied in every school he went to (reference: ANY episode where he’s a kid) and probably at home since john winchester is LIKE THAT!

not to mention, he’s been in the family business since what? before he was a pre teen? why does he have war veteran type trauma at like 13? did we skim past when he wrote an essay over killing a werewolf for middle school or what? not allowed to talk of the family business, not allowed to get too close to anyone!

his girlfriend died in the same fashion his mother did IN THE PILOT. he was half disowned by his family before the show even started might i add!

he blames himself so so so much and some of y’all think it’s pre trauma ?!! really ????????? blows my mind.

there is no “pre trauma” he was born to despair and agony. argue at the wall because i won’t listen.
