okay but this mila kunis/ashton kutcher bullshit is a great point towards something we should all be paying attention to... someone saying they're a feminist is not enough.

liberal feminism has created this culture where the worst, scummiest people can adopt woke language and use it to hide behind.

a man can accuse you of being exclusive and discriminatory for not wanting to fuck him.

the meanest mean girl can call being a good person "emotional labour" and claim that she just doesn't have the "spoons" to be kind to others.

an abuser can use every bdsm buzzword in the book to avoid admitting that the only thing that gets him off is the pain and humiliation of his partners.

Had dinner with some friends, all of whom identify as feminist, and we got on to the topic of the sex trade.

I brought up research I had done for a paper on sex trafficking and mentioned how lots of trafficking starts as consensual sex work, such as dancing or calming, and evolves into being pimped. I also brought up how when prostitution is legalized, human trafficking increases because men expect to be able to buy sex but women aren't willing to sell it so pimps turn to migrant women, the Indigenous, and other vulnerable women to meet the demand. I also brought up how dangerous sex work is because it's hard to stop a John in the act if he gets violent.

Their response.

Wow total mask off moment here. Forget about encouraging little girls to be passionate and excited about legitimate careers that can grant them financial independence, have benefits, teach transferable skills, and has regulations keeping it as low risk as possible, the kweerios want to encourage girls to be sex workers, witches, and gender dysphoric!
