Name: Sea Change Species: Human (Non-powered), Selkie Status: OPEN
You were raised with the expectation that you would become something more, that you would transcend your humanity. That was how it worked in your family. Reach a certain age, and you earn the right to your selkie pelt. One by one, you watched your older siblings slide into theirs like they were born for it. But when you finally got your pelt and put it on, anticipating the moment your true nature would be yours to claim, nothing happened. The pelt just slid down your very human body. Your parents might have a lot of explaining to do – or maybe you are truly a selkie after all, and this took everyone by surprise and needs to be fixed somehow. Either way, something isn’t right, and you feel robbed of what you spent your whole life waiting for.

I honestly wish we got to spend more time with the Toymaker (maybe a longer special or a two-parter?) because he stole every scene he was in and offered up some of the creepiest moments in Modern Who, only for his defeat to feel very rushed and anticlimactic...

Day Thirteen: Begging (Peter B Parker x Reader)
Tumblr media
Warnings: smut under the cut, nsfw, 18+, FemBodied, Switch!reader, Switch!Peter, P!inV!, Unprotected sex, couch sex, orgasm denial , cheesy fluffy stuff,
Minors DNI
Words:671
“Please baby I need you…” Peter Mumbles in to her ear as they lay on her couch watching Golden Girls re-runs on TV.
“I’m watching, Hun.” She smiles and plays with his hair, his head on her chest.
“C’mon…Please I really, really, Really need you!” Peter pouts at her putting his chin on her sternum just above her breasts, he gives her the biggest most pathetic puppy dog eyes. She sighs.
“You’re too cute, it’s over powering my ability to resist!” she says jokingly with a smile as she leans in to kiss him softly, to which he immediately responds, their lips moving together in well-rehearsed choreography, the adventures of the four friends living in Miami beach forgotton as they get lost in each other. Peter’s hands running through her hair, holding the back of her head as he kissed her, his bulge getting harder in his sweatpants and he started to grind on her leg. She chuckles slightly.
“Ooh Honey, getting eager there aren’t we?” She asked in a teasing voice breaking the kiss for just a moment. Peter lets out a soft whine.
“Baby, Please.” He begs as he nibbles gently on her bottom lip. She chuckles slightly.
“That’s it, Beg for it Peter…” She croons at him as she lifts her knee to nudge at his hard bulge, causing his cock to twitch.
“Please, Baby please. I want you so, so very bad.” He whimpers as her rolls his hips on her propped up knee, trying to create friction to satisfy his need.
“Oh Honey, you need it so bad huh?” Hey baby voice tone making him feel like hes pathetic, but it also turns him on immensely. He nods enthusiastically. She smiles as wiggles out of her pajama shorts and panties, her own arousal already evident on her glistening pussy. Peter pulls his length out of his sweat pants and lines up with her entrance, sliding the head of his dick through her slick a couple of times before pressing into her, letting out a breathy moan.
“Thank you baby, Oh fuck, Thank you baby.” He murmurs in her ear as he positions himself comfortably between her legs, moving with at a steady tempo. Her own soft moans joining his as she clings to his shirt. Their fore heads touching as they move together. The two of them panting out as the laugh track continues to play in the background.
“That’s good Peter, Right there Honey… nph.” She babbles as he hits just the right spot deep inside her. Over and over and over. Her eyes start to roll back, she’s nearly there and… he stops. Her eyes snaps open and she looks at him, the mischievous look in his eyes.
“Ah, ah, ah. Beg for it baby.” Peter smirks as he takes control of the situation, moving slowly inside her, tempting and teasing her.
“Fuck. Peter please. I need to cum Honey please.” She whimpers. He leans over to her ear nibbling on the soft flesh.
“How badly baby? How bad do you need to cum?” He whispers loving how easily he had turned the tables on her.
“So Bad Pete, very, very, very bad, please Peter. Please.” She clings to his t-shirt, bucking her hips into him.
“mmmm that’s a good girl.” He growls and snaps his hips into hers speeding up, his hand reaching down, his fingers rubbing her clit in quick circular motions. A sharp cry leaves her lips as she feels her climax wrack her body as he chases his own, her tight walls clamping down on him as his spend releases into her. Their foreheads touching again as they catch their breath.
“I love you.” He says before softly kissing her
“I love you too.” She smiles at him. They pull their pants back on and Peter lays his head back on her chest as they resume watching.
~
“Rose: Where are you going?
Dorothy: To either get ice cream or commit a felony. I'll decide in the car” They both chuckle.

An analysis of the Toymaker and The Giggle
Tumblr media
I'm completely unhinged for this character so this is going to be LONG long. But there's a brief character analysis at the top.
Character portrayal - Perfection. Has exactly all the points and quirks of the OG character while NPH builds upon it in his own way - and everything he does is perfect and in character.
Mannerisms - This feels so bizzare to say, but we barely have any footage of the Toymaker before this episode. So this is essentially all we have to go on in terms of body language, facial expressions, etc. This is all new, but it feels like it's been a part of this character all along.
A character that's portrayed as being full of energy, shifting emotions and tones like masks - he doesn't sit still for a moment, he's constantly shifting even if its just the minutest of facial expressions. And we finally get to see it!!
The explanation - The Doctor always has an understanding of what he's up against, even if it takes him time to learn. But the Toymaker was essentially the very first enemy the Doctor ever meets (ty Divided Loyalties), and he still doesn't have an explanation as to who or what he is, or how he does things.
This was the bit that had me worried about the episode, and I know people like an explanation - but I'm of the firm belief that the Toymaker should always defy explanation and any known logic. The moment you understand him - he fundamentally changes and you've lost all understanding. You can't use the same trick twice.
New canon points:
- Being brought into this realm through a superstition at the edge of the universe. Such a brilliant and poetic way to summon such a character.
- Not having a choice but to accept a challenge. Normally, the Toymaker would accept anything tbh. But he wasn't bound by nature to accept. This episode has made it a fundamental flaw of his character. That does, unfortuantly, make it easier to beat him. But I like it, it fits the character, it makes sense. And, no matter how much I love him being this untouchable godly powerful person, he does need flaws.
This also goes hand in hand with the OG canon about how he can't accept failure. His down fall in Solitaire.
And I'll also point out the tibit about him being incapable of cheating. The Toymakers biggest pet peeve, numero uno way to piss him off.
What I wish was different/could have been added:
- The Toymaker is infamous for his tantrums. We got his show-off personality to the 10s, but we didn't see him register his loss properly. Should have let him had his toddler moment.
- I wouldn't change how it was, but I know what feels so... wrong? With this episode. I think the reason it's not hitting about how powerful he is is because he's not in his own universe, that sheer fear that he controls everything adds an extra dimension to the story. But we got to see a snipit of it when they were lost in the toy shop - so that works for me.
_______ The lengthy episode analysis _______
Tumblr media
Opening scene
Firstly, I was ridiculously happy that he appereaed straight away. I've waited so long 🖤
But first up is the Toy Room. Which is about as close as we get to his realm in this episode (and judging by it collapsing later on, I'm assuming it is a smaller form of his realm).
This is what the the original episode would have shown if they had the budget. Classic, old, and creepy toys filling a room to the brim. It looks so childlike and nostalgic until you look closer at the items.
Big Finish have described a very similar setting before, in Solitaire, but to see it visually is amazing.
And he fits right in to his habitat.
Very classic Toymaker in this scene. Reminded me alot of Solitaire when Charley walks into his toy shop, and he's talking talking talking - never ending commentary about his crafts, the theatrical speech mannerisms and near child-like excitement when he's speaking about his dolls.
His almost pouty way of speaking when Stooky Bill is being chosen but not his family, one again a very classic mannerism. This is a character that switches emotions, accents, and tones of voice quicker than light - and NPH does it well. He even drops to mimicking the other guys accent, not even trying to hide his mockery.
And I loved the tibit about taking the hair from a victim - "she will not miss it" - the whole idea that a victim succumbs to his play if they lose (but we will touch on that later).
Tumblr media
The street view
Then we move onto the insanity. The Toymaker is already there, practically following the Doctor about. He's there in the background when the Doctor tries to calm that man down, and he purposely bumps into the Doctor a moment later.
"Ooh La La"
Next mockery he makes of an accent. This is purposeful nod back to unfortunate racist element in the 60s. He mocks and copy's, because its funny to him. Humans are just pawns for amusment to him, and messing around with their characteristics like that is a small part of it.
Purely in his element in this scene, he's got that blissful and happy look to his face - a creature of chaos, in the chaos that he caused.
Tumblr media
Back in time
First face off between the Doctor and the Toymaker. Loved the little peek-a-boo dance they did through the windows.
In the Doctor goes and the Toymaker doesn't give him time to breathe. His speech is brilliant, and I'd like to think the whole "killing a man with a rock" was a Torvic mention.
Endless sense of humour and quips at the characters expense, that falls flat as they're too tied up trying to figure him out.
The endless juggling balls was a brilliant touch; such a small way to show the Toymakers powers but it gets the point across immediately that something isn't right.
The sheer fear radiating off of the Doctor that you can see leak onto Donna as she steps back and quietens down. Very few characters make the Doctor feel that way, and it's of course aimed at the one that's caused the most trauma in his life. And one that's barely survivable.
The shift in accent once the Doctor has clocked him, his little bow - and of course, the flash back to Michael Gough and the first episode, with NPH nailing his smirk. For someone that didn't know what Doctor Who was until he was cast as the Toymaker, NPH is the spitting image of the original character. Everything up to this point has been how others have portrayed the character, and NPH carries all of that forward in his performance.
Tumblr media
Hide and Seek
If its one thing I like about this character, is that he can't stay in one state for longer than a moment. He's constantly moving, shifting states. The moment the Doctor gets steady feet the Toymaker rips the floor from under him.
This is a character where you're barely keeping your head above water with, one that just doing your all to survive against that you don't have time to think about defeating him just yet.
I could be here forever in this scene, but ill cut to my favourite bits:
- The backrooms. Because of course the Toymaker would have an never ending maze of corridors and doors as one of his tricks. The Doctor is immediately fed up and unsure of how to deal with this.
- Telling Donna he might not be able to save her this time :( as I will always say, the Toymaker is a character you survive, not defeat (and this is still true for the ending of this episode).
- "when I was young, I made a terrible mistake" you can pry Divided Loyalties from my dead hands this was a nod to that I don't care what anyone else says.
- The living puppet of his earlier victim. Another classic Toymaker move - death is a nice way to lose to him, because he usually keeps you for eternity to do as he pleases with.
- The God like hovering above the Doctor with the marionette strings. Perfect way to show the power imbalance.
Tumblr media
The Showroom
"WELL THATS ALRIGHT THEN"
Puppet master with dolls of the Doctors companions, the whole set, the critique of the Doctors handling of his companions (hello, Divided Loyalties again)
The immediate shift in demeanour the moment the Doctor challenges him. Little creature of his games, the only thing he takes seriously.
And that beautiful surreal shuffling? That was all NPH, whos said to have a natural talent for such a thing.
The casual boasting of what he considers normal activities for himself. Doing such impossibly powerful things and hes just... and? So what about it? Very on brand. The Supernova mention was a nod at Nightmare Fair.
Tumblr media
Trapping the Master. Hysterical. That's 3 people from the Deca that have lost to him now. Did Koschei learn NOTHING from Divided Loyalties?!?! Also trapping the Master within his body, similar to Rallon 👀
"The one who waits" and him supposedly being scared of it? What the ever loving hell could make the Toymaker run? In terms of Who lore, he's the most powerful thing out there. I'm intrigued.
The whole unraveling of the plot with the human race. Making everyone think they're right. Toymaker, that's low hanging fruit, but I respect the lesson.
And his little switch from calm to excitable the moment he wins. He's a big kid.
"He'll cheat" favourite bit of canon of all, and it's stood through all of the characters stories. The Toymaker hates cheating. He'll find loopholes that look like cheating, of course, but cheating itself? Big no no and an automatic failure (how the Doctor lost in Divided Loyalties).
"I'm already running" pretty much all stories end with his realm collapsing, interesting that it's his choice this time.
Tumblr media
~ Spice Girls ~
This is where it stops becoming a homage to the OG character, and NPH makes it his own variation.
The only way I can describe the Spice Up Your life scene is that - it was in character, but its a side we haven't seen from him before.
That's such an interesting thing to happen, it's completely and uniquely NPH but it adds and makes sense to the character.
An all-powerful entity that taunts his power by dancing circles around his victims, both sinister and bizzare. An antagonistic move to make people uncomfortable and flaunt that he's untouchable. Extremely him, I'm upset that we haven't had this until this moment. But NPH killed it 🖤
The Doctor just before it happens looking all grave and at a loss "oh, I think he's here". Such beautiful juxtaposition.
Trapping peoples souls in bouncy balls - yes.
The rose petals - A mockery and I love it.
Dancing with people - me next please.
He turned up, was unnecessarily camp, and left again. No reason for him to have done except that he wanted to *chefs kiss*
His heart hands as he leaves, I did it right back.
Also his best outfit in my opinion!
Tumblr media
The Laser
"I think they're still falling" that was sinister, my good god man. I shouldn't have laughed but I did.
"All that exists is to win, or to lose" his mentality and existance boiled down into that once sentence.
The whole part where the Doctor proposes to him, lmao. Actually a nod back to the OG episode...
Tumblr media
The Toymaker doesn't like being told no, so he's probably remembering this moment.
His speech about humanity, and all the games they play within their existance.... 🗣🗣 SOLITAIRE 🗣🗣 such a brilliant and sinister speech in that audio, and this is very similar and uniquely different. Love it love it love it. "You make me dizzy"
Catch
The Bigeneration possibly being his doing, brilliant. Although I have my own seperate feelings on that topic.
Loosing to a simple game of catch. Others would say that's over whelming, but when it comes to powerful complex characters - simple is the way to go, they're too in their own heads to foresee the simple defeats.
The Toymaker is bound by winning and failure, that's always been the same. But he wasn't in his own realm this time, so him being booted from existance instead works out.
This wasn't a defeat. This was a singular win. He's had his soul scattered, he's been collapsed into a singularity, he's had his realm collapse around him multiple times. But you can't touch him. He's like a boomerang, you can throw it as hard as you want but it's never truely gone. You can't kill him, and you can't defeat him completely.
100/10 brilliant portrayal, excellently brought back to modern audiences. Beautiful beautiful episode I have it on repeat.
If you've made it this far, you're probably as unhinged as I am - so hi, welcome to the madness, and thank you for reading.

SO!
THE GIGGLE!
DW spoilers under the cut:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MY FACES THROUGHOUT THIS! HOLY SHIT!
-I FUCKING LOVE THIS SPECIAL I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS THIS WAS AMAZING SHUT UP LET ME HAVE THIS! LET ME HAVE THIS!
-Anyway, let's get on with the actual stuff
-The opening punched me in the face. Of course the fruity-ass villain, The Toymaker, would set up shop in SoHo. Aziraphale would be pissed. Only one Southern Pansy is allowed to have a physic defying shop and that's him.
-The chaos, so much chaos. But hey! We heard Wilf! We didn't really see him, but we got one last line in with him, thank goodness!
-UNIT is not subtle anymore, but at this point it would make sense that they're more well-known.
-I dunno who Mel is, but she seems like a fun person! :O Which era was she, Five's?
-The shit with the giggle and how it affected Kate... yikes. :|
-I do want to point out how awesome Donna is throughout this episode, from the music notes, to defending the Doctor, to standing by their side. She's the best, love her. <3
-The Toymaker is fuck, NPH was an excellent choice, honestly.
-His dimension is fuckin' bonkers. I already knew that his world was basically a game to begin with, so I feel really bad for Donna and the Doctor as they go through the halls. Also, fucking puppets! UHG!
-Best two outta three, who didn't see that one coming?
-THE REGENERATION!
-Let's talk about that!
-Let's fucking talk about the insanity that is the regeneration! (And fuck you Disney+ for using Tenth Doctor in the subtitles, that's still Fourteen to me).
-Fourteen's last words were interesting, including the allons-y, kinda had a feeling we'd get an old Ten quote in there, but the fact that they said they felt weird, it's like. Wait... WAIT! HOLD UP???
-THE SPLIT! Fourteen's shock, Fifteen's excitement! Fifteen! I love you! I love you!
-Two Doctors for the price of one, another weird regeneration! A bi-regeneration! A myth! So that means that there was talk about it before, a possibility, unlike the meta-crisis!
-Please take note that Fourteen lost their underpants and went commando through the last half of the special because... WOW. That's gotta be uncomfortable.
-Fifteen, Fifteen, I fucking love you~
-Fifteen is going to be a caring, emotional Doctor and I'm here for that. <3 And how he held Fourteen... hhhhhh.... my little heart <3
-I know, I know, cheesy to have two Doctors and now two TARDIS's, but I don't fucking care. I don't fucking care at all. I love it. I love that Fourteen can rest, Fifteen can still fly off and have adventures. Which means that there is a chance that they can meet again, and maybe we'll have another fun adventure with them.
-Donna working for UNIT sounds like a good idea. I wonder if Fourteen will as well, and probably cause so much trouble, just like Three and Four did. :D
-Fourteen and Tentoo, the Doctors who can rest and enjoy the little things. That's all I need in life.
-Also, the adorable line about Rose being their niece!
-I have so many more thoughts, but it's hard to put them all down. Over all, I fucking loved this, I get more Fourteen in my life, and now I also get to enjoy Fifteen at the same time! Two Doctors for the price of one!
LET.
ME.
HAVE.
THIS!

so my thoughts on the final 60th special.
Spoilers below the cut. Read at your own risk.
Soho. I know it's 1925 but Good Omens anyone?
I like The Avenger still theme music and tower (not) although Murray Gold is fucking great. How did they get they get planning permission for that? Also, the Brig would hate to see UNIT out in the open.
MEL. MEL. MEL. MEL. I FUCKING LOVE MEL :D
Government going mad? I thought it was already.
I love that they're showing Mel being a computer genius and mentioning the classic series and the consequences of travelling with the Doctor.
Stupid fucking laser.
Sonic, TARDIS, Time Lord. Take that away and what am I? Why are there so many Marvel ref- oh wait...
Yay, more dodgy CGI
I love that they're bringing back past companions (apart from the Flux mention) and also mentioning that the Doctor's life isn't all peaches. Yes companions die and that should be mentioned more often
That dance scene was fucking mental. Also, UNIT guards are fucking stupid. Why would you continue firing at someone when the bullets were turned into flowers!!!!
Why is it that Tennant always offer villains a really homoerotic option to go with him?
Ok I'll admit- I wasn't expecting that for 14's regeneration
TWO DOCTOR'S WHAT THE FUCK (why doesn't he have any trousers?)
I agree Mel- he is beautiful
Nice call back with the tooth
ADRIC! SARAH JANE!
'We're Time Lords' correct, you are. Let's ignore the Timeless Child bullshit
So 14 is suffering from burnout?
Duplicating TARDIS? I agree Donna, it is completely nuts.
'Only communicates with their eyebrows'- THIRD DOCTOR REFERENCE
Overall I preferred it to the first episode but I didn't enjoy it as much as last weeks. I wish that there was a proper regeneration scene the 14 died and 15 fully took over. NPH was alright, not my favourite villain but not my least favourite either. I like the call backs to classic!who and even to earlier series, to show that the Doctor does suffer losses and isn't perfect.
I'm really looking forward to Ncuti's series. He seems like he's going to be a really fun Doctor and I have hope for his series.

Name: Call of the Wild Species: Human (Non-powered) Occupation: Wildlife Biologist Status: OPEN
Before you came to Wicked’s Rest, you proudly identified every bird song and could recite a list of all the native mammals in New England. Oh, how things have changed. What kind of bird makes a sound like stones being cut by a chainsaw and is the size of a deer? What left these spiral-shaped droppings? Why do the moose scream? Once respected for your knowledge, you’re a fish out of water in this town and find it endlessly frustrating. Your expertise is being put to the test, and your sanity might just be tested along with it. Will you try to learn more about the local fauna, or is it easier to squeeze everything into the neat little boxes you're used to?

They've both openly stated that they are bisexual so I don't know why their management would do that but with bi erasure being as heavy as it is I wouldn't be surprised either. Heaven forbid boys like boys and girls. It would be a travesty.
I would love the receipts about Col being openly bisexual (I fully believe/want to, I just don't think I've seen it and would greatly appreciate it) but yes Dom is out as pan but freely says he's still frightened to openly date a man. Often in the industry, even if you're openly LGBT+ they want you to be a wholesome queer icon. It's like... How you didn't even see a gay kiss on Will & Grace for a while. Be out but don't be too out. You might scare the conservatives 😱 The world loves a wholesome queer (think NPH) but anything else is trouble. I think Dom would be allowed before Colson, just because of the crafted image, but I hope someday the world is more open and accepting in general.

Finally had the time to sit down and watch Doctor Who's third special.
So, I was really excited about the Toymaker's comeback because while I haven't seen the Classic Who's episodes with him, it did look like a fun villain to have and oh boy did NPH deliver! He's been a joy to watch. But I will say this special is a let down from Wild Blue Yonder for me, possibly even from The Star Beast.
It needed to be LONGER. There is so much good ideas thrown around but none are like, discussed enough to actually matter ?? Like The Giggle is a fun concept, the idea of a laugh being subliminally implanted in humans brains to make them feel scorned at and lash out in retaliation, but it's not actually explored at all! Like Mel even says it's just a simple arpeggio I think, which would raise the question would any other similar enough jingle produce the same reaction? Who knows because big laser goes brrr and that's it.
The Toymaker's domain, the toy shop bigger on the inside that answers to no rhyme or logic if not games filled with horrors definetely could've carried one full episodes(even more!), but it is instead quickly dispatched, because we have to go back to show the totally not UNIT spinoff setup.
The game being catch is a fun idea but boring and atrocious to watch (I loved (sarcastic) how the Doctors were doing stunts and stuff while NPH just raised a hand multiple times and that was it). It also takes no advantage of there being actually two Doctors - rock paper scissods would've worked better honestly? First thing that comes to mind, and the fact that the Toymaker is stopped because he dropped it when he could've just jumped and caught it is dumb. And I know that it's because the game bounds him to keep it fair, but his adversaries could've done the same albeit by regenerating after going splat.
And now. Now. The big elephant in the room. Bigeneration. I don't know what to think, because the show doesn't really explain it. My current guess is that it's a myth and the fact that The Toymaker is there plus salt at the edge of the universe made it seemingly real by pulling Fifteen from Fourteen future: he is stated to be older, which would not be the case if this was a split regeneration, and is in a better place mentally because he, as Fourteen, stopped and rested and stuff. But that's my headcanon, because there's no confirmation and RTD has been obviously not very keen to confirm or disprove either option, I assume to keep each door open until one definetely needs to be closed.
But as for now? I don't like it. I was ok with Fourteen especially because he's not Ten (despite having similarities) and because he would be here for three specials only, but this Has Been Certainly A Choice to make huh. First of all, reusual of plotlines much? Tennant having a copy "to gift" to a previous companion? But also, The Doctor's regeneration has always been a baton pass of sorts and that felt missing. Also the way Fifteen is the one going off with the copy TARDIS while Fourteen kept the OG... Don't like it nuh huh. Plus I hope the show goes either off current day Earth a lot or solves the Fourteen's plotline because the moment an invasion comes you will have to answer to why isn't Fourteen helping?
But anyway, I am choosing to trust because this three Specials have effectively revived my interest in Doctor Who, and I think RTD knows how not undermine the entire thing. I hope.
And let's be honest even if I didn't trust, I would still be watching because Ncuti's Doctor HAD ME HOOKED.

Just to confirm, you have 3 fics from burner, right?
*counts remaining fics to post* ...yes
sorry I didn't post any of them yesterday, I spent 5 hours on another got damb clay bug figure. also worked on my own next fic a little. cause dang, do you write fast. (compared to me anyway lol)
also I'm a little hesitant about that last one you sent, because I.. generally don't post same-size here? I mean, I see how the scenario you wrote would call for it to be same-size. and the story is fine, it's just. it- doesn't. suit. my preferences? and the stuff I've been putting on this blog thus far?
idk, I think I'm making a big deal out of nothing. I'll- I'll post it. after those other two.

TV-Show Rec – How I Met Your Mother
I know that this is an older show, but I’ve only just come around to binge-watch it and need to rave about it for a minute or two because this has easily become my second-favourite show after Game of Thrones (which will always remain number one because of Braime) and I haven’t been this excited about a show/movie/book in the last two years…
For the first few episodes, I wasn’t even sure I’d like HIMYM because sitcoms aren’t usually my thing and the constant audience laughter annoyed me soooo much. But since I wanted to watch something light and funny during my recovery, I pulled through and eventually managed to blank out the laughter and focus on the story and characters instead. And I’m glad I did for one reason and one reason only: Barney Stinson, who’s 100% awesome and legen – wait for it – dary! LEGENDARY!
Plus, Neil Patrick Harris is a treasure! That man can act and sing and dance and do it all at once and I’m in absolute awe of his talent. He was the heart and soul of the show and carried HYMYM. And did I already mention that this man can sing? There are still so many of his songs I haven’t heard yet, but these are a few gems I simply have to share (in no particular order):
This Tony Awards Opening
His Disney Christmas Parade Opening
The “Dream On” performance from Glee
His Broadway Musical Riff-Off against James Corden, which includes snippets of his musicals “Company” and “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”
“The Origin of Love”, which is my favourite song from Hedwig
The brilliant “Stand by me” performance from HIMYM (special thanks to Cobie Smulders who was all of us in that moment)
And, of course, the legen – wait for it and I hope you aren’t lactose-intolerant because the second part of the word is – dairy “Nothing Suits Me Like A Suit” by Barney Stinson
And those are just the tip of the iceberg…
Seriously, I imagine NPH’s creation going somewhat like this:
God: How much talent do you want to have?
NPH: Yes! What up?
That being said, if you belong to the few people who haven’t watched this show yet, I have two warnings for you…
First: You’ll never be able to hear the song “I’m gonna be (500 Miles)” by The Proclaimers again without slowly sinking to your knees, screaming NOOOOOOOO at the top of your lungs and starting to weep because it will be stuck in your head for days. DAYS, I tell you!
Second: The HIMYM ending is absolute crap and I’m so pissed at it. This is GoT all over again (or rather, I now know where D&D got their idea from since HIMYM is the older show). Seriously though, is there some secret prize for the producers/writers who manage to make the best shows and character arcs only to screw them over in the last episodes??
In any case, for anyone who hasn’t watched the show yet, here’s a simple four-step guide:
1. Watch every episode including Season 9, Episode 22 (you could leave out the rhyming one cause that one was boring and had no point imo)
2. Do NOT watch Season 9, Episode 23 and 24 unless you want to get “I want to punch a hole in the wall-angry”
3. Don’t bother with the alternative ending either cause that isn’t much better than the original
4. You’re welcome!
PS: I’m not gonna write HIMYM fics but I might have to include a small Barney Stinson tribute in one of my future Braime fics because I’ve had an idea on how to easily fix his stupid ending with a guest appearance.

Frick man I was SO hoping that DT's return was going to be the TenToo version and it's a one off in the other dimension. And you know what???? I'm STILL hoping that. The doctor doesn't regenerate with new clothes, and it wasn't like 11 to 12 where it was one continuous shot. I am PRAYING that something interrupted/stalled 13's regen and the TARDIS has no choice but to pull some multi-dimensional shenanigans with TenToo to save 13. WHICH also lines up with the fact that this world's Donna shouldn't be able to remember her time with 10 and I think Wilf would be WAY to pumped to see TenToo again to not slip and say something h shouldn't.
I love DT but I hope even more that Ncuti's doctor is SO HOT it blows 10's stupid suit out of the water
yeah i initially thought it was going to be a parallel universe/multiverse situation and i still think it could be? because yeah he shouldn't have regenerated with his clothes on that just doesn't happen. so if NPH's character IS the celestial toymaker it could be something to do with that, that he's messed with the timeline somehow and messed with the regeneration, making the doctor use that face for whatever reason. or perhaps that it's tying in to the timeless child situation? which hasnt fully been resolved imo. like yeah the doctor hid the fobwatch but the line "unless i really ask for it" is so ominous it has to mean that theyre going to take it out at aome point. yes the doctor knows that whats in there doesnt define them and that its a bunch of memories full of hurt and suffering but i think they would still want to Know some of it. and thay perhaps it will become necessary whether they want to open it or not. or maybe it won't even require them to open it, but that something about it will become relevant
(obviously we know what the real world reasoning probably is but they have to make an in-universe explanation as well)
which i still am not super happy about anyway?? because having DT show up just overshadows everyone else. jodie whittaker. ncuti gatwa. everyone is talking about DT and it's like?? okay but JW just had the end of her era can we not talk about that? or ncuti?? he's the New doctor are we not excited about him??? and that everyone who hated on JW's era and refused to watch it are going to come back to the show now and i bet a lot of them are going to skip her era in its entirety. so yeah im a lil miffed about DT but i suppose i can't change it and im just gonna have to go with it
