Football this season
Tumblr media
-calm down boy I got A+ on your exam it was a piece of cake for me, you're going to play American football again this season-
I flexed my huge arms to show my intellect and genetic superiority while the obese middle-aged man just looked at me sadly and jealously, he had been in Johnson's body for 2 days and had already stuffed the ass of the captain of the men's swim team and the basketball one, but the pathetic look behind those square glasses was the best reward.
I never tire of showing off those huge arms and those abs that the fags at school fall in love with, now I understand why all those athletes spend all day in the gym instead of in the library.
As an algebra teacher, every year I have a group of young idiots who beg me on their knees in front of my office to help them pass their exams. Qualifying so they could play the field, but he didn't need any of that crap, all he wanted was their lives.
Tumblr media
Of course, the kids don't want a tutor or some kind of extra essay, they just want to bribe me with their parents' money to put a D+ on their exams, luckily I've found a way to take advantage of my situation.
I was never very popular when I was young, but now I get to live 1 week a month in the carefree life of an airhead jock while he lives my shitty life as an underpaid high school teacher with a small penis who still lives with mom, I used to believe that football was stupid, It feels fucking great to be the center of attention on the field Johnson hasn't even played a game since he entered high school all he does is train his body so that I get all the glory after winning the game.
From the moment I saw him enter my class I knew I would put my hands on that rather muscular and fucking handsome body, Johnson was always an idiot, most of the time he was talking to his friends in the back of the room or sleeping in my class.
Stealing the portable body swapping machine from the science fair 7 years ago was the best idea I've ever had, ever since then I've been secretly "helping" my students, Even the Principal has complimented me on my good work with the students .
Although being young and having all my hair is great, the part I enjoy the most is watching my students suffer in my body, after we return to our original bodies they become valedictorian, so they don't have to spend another week in my shoes But there are always Jocks or thugs lining up outside my classroom door for me to receive their bodies.
Tumblr media
The rumors that the quarterback was found walking into a hotel while holding hands with an obese 60 year old man is just a small price for an A+, like I said my salary is a pittance so I don't see any of it. Bad at taking a little more of My new youth and charging a bunch of old Homos For worshiping my muscular arms, kissing my perfect abs And kissing my huge stinky feet.
Maybe in a couple of years when I retire I'll steal the body of the new master of chemistry, I wouldn't mind "teaching" again for a couple more years as long as I have this machine.
Tumblr media
Hello, if you like bodyswap stories take a look at my patreon, I have a lot of more stories, and you can help me keep creating more stories!

Old Memories Fade Away into Irrelevancy (Or does it?)
ao3 link:
Summary: Noel Noa learns about this new project Japan is creating, and the man crazy enough to be behind the whole thing.
Words: 1146
Noa barely recognized him at first, when he heard about a new project Japan was going to be creating.
Blue Lock it was called, and upon hearing about what it entailed, the word crazy popped into his mind. The entire idea was ludicrous, mad, absolutely insane. 300 high school players, all locked in a facility? Just how much did that loss in the World Cup devastate Japan?
He barely kept up with Japanese football anymore. It’s already been 10 years, and yet nothing has changed. Mediocrity, that is what he would describe its team. Any glimmer of potential that had been present a decade ago had faded away completely and laid stagnant, bare and dull.
Japan was a weak country in terms of football; that stayed an unquestionable fact.
So Noa saw the Blue Lock press conferences, upon request by those who recommended it to him, and saw no interest. Just another flop in the football world. He only stuck around to see the fanatic that would actually propose this crazy idea.
But the more he listened (his Japanese isn’t the best, but he can understand most of it), the more familiar the ideas proposed sounded, and suspicion began to crawl up the back of his neck. Familiar and nostalgic even, like words coming from an old friend. Surprisingly enough, he could recognize some of the ideas, word for word. He’s heard most of this before.
But the idea went as soon as it came. As much as it felt like a token of the past, he hasn’t heard those words in years. It has disappeared with time and hasn’t appeared since. Faded away into irrelevancy, gone with the wind.
However, the thought still didn’t leave his mind, and it was like he was right back where he was such a long time ago, unable to get that face or name out of his head.
The press conference was coming to an end, and Noa was beginning to think he wouldn’t find out who was running this project. Not that it mattered, since he still had acquired no interest in this “Blue Lock” experiment. It was nearly time for training anyways, and he didn’t like to be anything less than punctual for meetings. Maybe he should stop finding himself wasting time on these unnecessary presses.
Just as Noa was beginning to close out of the window, a face appeared on the screen. They were showing an image of a man and talking over it, where he was only able to decipher that this is the one behind the whole experiment. The image was then taken off, but it stayed casted behind the woman who was still speaking.
The man’s eyes were obscured by the reflection of his square glasses, and a bowl-cut covered up his forehead and rested above his hidden eyes. His neck was long and lanky and while the picture cut off at his shoulders, he could guess that the rest of his body was the same. Behind the disinterested look, Noa could see where obsession has worn away the edges.
There was no doubt about it. He had a different look but that was him. A name Noa hasn’t heard in years.
The man running the project was none other than Ego Jinpachi.
~
A few months passed after that. Noa hadn’t given Blue Lock more than a single thought. In fact, it seemed that Noa had completely forgotten the project completely, or had dispelled it from his mind entirely. It wasn’t important, and its idiotic to have unimportant thoughts when training or playing.
Sometime later though, someone had sent him a football clip to watch. He was tempted to put it off, but figured it was better to go ahead and see it now that he had the time, especially when time is so scarce nowadays.  It was a clip sent in in by one of the players in Bastard München’s U-20 division, which is why he was even considering it at all. Attached was an article as well.
He sat down and clicked on the video. Immediately, he could recognize the foreign letters and tell that this was a Japanese football match. On the field, there were the white and red colors of Japan’s U-20 uniforms, but alongside them there were other colors of a different team, unknown players in vivid blue uniforms.
Two players stood out, which seems to be what the clip is focusing on. One from the U-20 team and the other in one of the bright blue uniforms. The two were in a one-on-one  and amidst their quick, nearly untraceable movements, the ball was somewhere tossed between them.
Noa had seen the U-20 team play but this was nearly unrecognizable from their former play-styles. If it weren’t for their uniforms, he probably wouldn’t even guessed that these were the same people who played in the world cup to represent Japan. Outside the two players going head-to-head, they were moving quickly around them, jumping around with a kind of new energy. The difference was like night and day.
Somewhere in the tussle for the ball, it got thrown high up in the air. The ball soared above the players on the field until eventually landing on a single, colored blue, player, who launched it straight into the net. With that, the crowd exploded, and the video came to an end.
Intrigued, Noa clicked the article. It was all in Japanese, which he really should’ve expected. Instead of hopelessly trying to read it with his subpar Japanese, he opted to just use Google translate instead.
The headline read clear and simple. “Blue Lock Revolutionizes Japanese Football.”
As his eyes went through the poorly-translated words of the article, decade-old memories flashed through his mind, appearing so vividly and clearly in his thoughts. Words and plays of another time now sat in his lap, appeared in the headliner on his laptop screen, and presented itself in the image of high-school age players jumping and celebrating on top of each other. And a name that he thought he’d never hear again.
Ego Jinpachi
A name that he once tied to a teammate, someone who matched him in plays, who played right alongside him while fighting for his own spotlight, who made himself present with every way, eventually etching himself as Noa’s first rival, and someone who disappeared off the face of the earth while Noa achieved world-wide success.
Such a name came into existence once again, now lying in the shadows, in the depths of his crazed obsession.
Noa reread the article headline and watched the clip again. Blue Lock. A project that made itself known to the world with just a single match, and shown Japan a new way of football. All lead by a single man with a crazy dream.
A ghost of a smile appeared on his lips.
You fanatic.

The Big Texas Post
Y’know what’s funny? Explaining Texas culture to non-Texans.
People from Dallas: Dallasites. People from Houston: Houstonians. People from Austin: Weird.
Texas has two pro baseball teams, three pro basketball teams, two pro football teams, two pro soccer teams, and one pro hockey team (and tried to get a second in the Houston Aeros but that didn’t work out).
Most sports orgs are based in either Dallas or Houston, and the two cities have a rivalry that when left unchecked causes brawls in restaurants and bars (among other chaotic things). The general rule is that Houstonians hate Dallas, Dallasites hate Houston, everyone hates Austin, and San Antonio and El Paso are just the two kids in the corner trying to stay out of the fighting. However, if you’re from out-of-state and you hate on any of them, you’ll be the one on the receiving end of a beat-down because “no one messes with my little brother but me, damnit!”
Meanwhile, you have all the people who self-identify as being from one of the big cities even though they’re really from a suburb that’s about an hour away. Live in Spring, TX? “Oh, I’m from Houston.” Live in Arlington (which is where the Texas Rangers - largely considered a Dallas sports team - are located)? You’re considered from Dallas or the DFW area. We Texans don’t really care about the accuracy. We care more about whether or not you’re from the coast (Houston), the middle (Dallas/San Antonio), the weird (Keep Austin Weird was supposed to be a slogan that would promote mom-and-pop small businesses in the city. The rest of Texas leapt on the opportunity to make fun of it. Sorry, Austin), the border (El Paso, Texarkana), or somewhere out in the middle of nowhere. The state’s too big to get into the nitty gritty.
And don’t even get me started on college rivalries. You’ve got U of H, UT, A&M, SFA, and even more acronyms and mascots and history and - well, let’s just say it can all get out of hand. Actually, A&M and UT refuse to play each other anymore out of stubbornness - they hate each other that much. (Personally, I land on the Aggie side of things. Anyone who goes so far as to genetically engineer maroon bluebonnets to prank another school has earned my affection. Though UT can give as good as they get.)
Some other weird/fun things about Texas include: - Drive through margarita places - Kolaches (which are a Czech sweet pastry that we bastardized into a savory breakfast option) - The Battle for the Boot (I kid you not, two baseball teams compete against each other for a silver cowboy boot every once in a while. It’s the silliest and yet most Texan thing ever.) - Buck-ees - The second largest port in the US (the amount of people who don’t understand that yes, Houston is on the water, and yes, it has a booming transport industry is alarming) - Really good barbecue (ours is tomato based, which makes the sauce thick and sweet) - Strange laws including one where you’re not allowed to have pliers in the back pocket of your jeans (it’s a holdover from when cattle rustlers would use them to cut barbed-wire fences) - There’s a law where in the US, no state capital is allowed to be taller than the US capital. Texas built theirs on a hill - it’s not taller, it just happens to be... higher. - People argue over this one, but Texas DOES have the right to secede from the union. - Six Flags the theme park was named such because it stands for Six Flags Over Texas. Why? Texas has had six different flags flying over it: France, Spain, Republic of Texas, United States, Confederacy, and Mexico. Yes, you read that right: France. No, we were not acquired in the Louisiana Purchase. - Dry counties are a thing. No alcohol is allowed to be consumed or sold! That being said, a trailer park of 200 came together to create the town Mobile, TX so that they could sell and consume liquor in the 90s - In 1963, Janice Joplin was voted “Ugliest Man on Campus” at the University of Texas - The Houston Grand Opera is considered one of the best opera companies in the world!

The situation with Gavi and Spain fans has really rattled me and got me thinking. It is shameful that they are treating this 18 year old boy who is the same age as me the way they are. He deserves respect for the way he gives his all for his club and his country and to see his efforts be rewarded in such ways is just sad. For me, those “fans” who are treating him the way they are aren’t really fans at all and I have no respect for them. This situation also got me thinking about what football, both club and country, mean to me because I simply cannot comprehend hating on your own player who won a trophy for you so enjoy this brain vomit of mine.
How do I perceive football and what does it mean to me?
Football is the whole country holding its breath during the penalty shootout. It’s the sweet taste of victory and the disappointment of defeat. It’s celebrating every medal like it’s gold because our players have given their all and deserve to feel how proud they made us. It’s watching football in school because of the winter World Cup. It’s driving towards my grandparents house during Brazil-Croatia game and not being able to sit still while listening to live commentary. It’s my mum agreeing to let me put on a football match(even though she would like to watch something else)because she knows how much I want to watch it. It’s Croatian football songs playing at 9am the day of the match. It’s believing we play better in white and red checkered kits. It’s Luka Modrić 10 and Leo Messi 10 at the same time. It’s me(who is a Barca fan through and through) and my friend(who bleeds Madrid white) sitting side by side on the bus while coming home from swim competition and watching El Classico at one shared phone. It’s the bragging rights each of us gets for a day when our team wins. It’s me losing my mind at stunts Gavi pulls and her laughing her head off at my reaction. It’s her congratulating me on Barca winning La Liga and me congratulating her on Madrid’s UCL run this year. It’s her hoping we sign Messi(when it still seemed like it would happen) and me hoping that Madrid manage to sign Bellingham (because she was really excited about the idea of it even before it was a reality ). It’s me and my other friend (who is City fan) shit talking one another’s club just to rile each other up but agreeing that Pep is the best. It her already planning to visit me in London so we can watch some City away game even tho I still have to get the grades for my offer to even be sure I’m going to be studying there next year. It’s me rattling out stats for any player my guy friend ask me about and getting their respect. It’s me checking the scores of the games while preparing for my exams and having a silly victory dance when we score. It’s the beginning in love with Barca’s defense and midfield and attack and defending them even when they suck. It’s the pain of saying goodbye to Camp Nou and the happiness of having had the chance to see it as it was. It’s the brightness of the future that lies ahead of this Barca team and the happiness that I will be there to witness it. Its every Visca Barca and Visca Catalunya. It’s the pride and the joy and the love. It’s the beautiful game.
Sorry for sending in such a long ask which isn't even an ask but I wanted to share my thoughts with someone and you have such a beautiful paragraphs about Messi and Barca that I thought you might appreciate it🥲
I've kept that ask a few days in my inbox just to re-read it; it makes me proud and joyful to have created such space were you feel you can write this. Thank you for sharing this beautiful bits of your life, these bridges thrown, connections created, memories formed at such odd little corner stones of our lives that make futbol, ultimately, more than just shouting at some 22 players on a field. Also serves to remind us, although the institution is ugly to look at, although these players often disappoint us, that ultimately it's not about them, but above the sport itself. 💕

Next Chapter | Masterlist
|| Ch. 1: Let’s Dance ||
A new year has started and I’m excited to begin my junior year as a photography major. Soon I’ll be graduating and on my way to becoming a great photographer and hosting my own exhibits that even celebrities will want to go to.
Wishful thinking, but either way I’m excited to be that much closer to graduating and starting my career in photography.
“What are you going to do for your semester project, Mina?” My friend Taehyung asks. We met freshman year as photography majors and seem to have nearly every class together since then. He’s become my best friend at the school and my wine partner when I need to let off steam.
“I don’t know,” I respond taking a bite of my bagel as we sit in the cafe that’s conveniently located in the art building on campus. “Why would he put something so heavy on us like that and only give us a short time to decide on a subject?”
This semester our photography professor gave the class a project where we choose a subject and follow them throughout the semester. The final project is worth nearly half my grade so I know I have to do perfect on it.
“I don’t know,” Taehyung says. “But we have to figure something out.”
“Ugh,” I sigh struggling to think of an idea. “What about following one of the sports teams through their season?”
“That would be fine if we actually had any fall sports at this school,” Taehyung huffs.
Our university is one of many (but few) that don’t have a football team, or volleyball team, or any other Fall sport schools typically have. Sports are basically nonexistent until basketball season starts. Too bad we’re not taking this class in the spring.
“Well shit,” I sigh. “What about a series of self portraits where I document myself increasingly losing my shit as the semester goes on?”
“Let me know how that goes,” Taehyung laughs. “I’ve got class, I’ll see you later.” I wave as he grabs his bags and heads off down the hall.
My next class isn’t for another hour so I hang in the cafe a little longer before I decide to wander the halls to kill time. I always enjoy going through the halls of the art building and passing rooms where masterpieces are being created whether on canvas or through music. The music especially is my favorite.
As I’m strolling along I come to one of the dance rooms with the door open. There’s a soft classical track playing and inside a petite figure is moving across the floor with fluid motions. His body floats seamlessly on the waves of the music and I almost want to pull out my camera to capture how flexible his body is. It’s almost as if he’s made of rubber rather than skin and bones. He makes a turn and his eyes meet mine.
“Mina!” He says with a smile.
“Jimin?” I say finally realizing who I had been watching.
Jimin and I went to high school together, and while we weren’t incredibly close, we still had a few classes together and became friends. When we started college we would still run into each other from time to time since we both are majoring in the arts. I wouldn’t necessarily consider him my “bestie”, but he’s definitely a cool friend.
“What are you doing here?” He asks pausing the music and waving me into the room.
“I was just walking around until my next class. Are you already busting your ass on a routine when it’s just the second week of the semester?” I joke.
It’s no secret that he’s one of the best dancers at the school. He’s been dancing his entire life and has won many awards. I’m sure the school was excited when they saw he wanted to attend here of all places as a dance student. But it’s also no secret that he tends to be quite hard on himself. Pushing himself to his very limits for the sake of improvement. He doesn’t know how to take it easy, but I guess it’s hard to when he’s trying to maintain his position at the top of the class, which is constantly being threatened by another great dancer.
“There’s no resting for the best dancer at the school,” he smiles.
“Oh, is Hoseok practicing right now?” I tease looking around.
Jimin playfully huffs while scrunching his face at me. Hoseok is the other best dancer at the school and although he and Jimin have completely different dance styles, they both are constantly going back and forth in rankings for the top spot in the dance program.
Despite that, and everyone else constantly making this out to be some sort of heated rivalry between them, they’re actually best friends and roommates. They find it funny that people assume they would hate each other and tend to joke about it more than they take any of it seriously.
“Anyway!” He says playfully trying to move past my teasing. “I have a recital at the end of the semester and I’m trying to decide what dance I want to do.”
“You have to plan a recital already?”
“It’s basically our final exam so I want it to be perfect. I’m just having a hard time coming up with something that I think will be good enough.”
“Oh come on, anything you do will be more than good enough. Even the little I just saw you doing was amazing.”
“Really?” He asks as if he’s not the winner of numerous gold medals from a lifetime of dancing excellence.
“Jimin please,” I laugh. Just then the gears in my head start turning and I get hit with an idea. “You know what? I have to follow a subject through the semester for my photo project. What if I did a photo series of you?”
“Me? Why?”
“Jimin you’re a man with no bones. That would look incredible in pictures. I could follow you as you prepare for your recital. I’ll even let you have copies of all of the photos. It’s perfect!”
He takes a moment to think on it, definitely being hit with a wave of shyness and embarrassment from the sudden praise. I try to give my best puppy eyes to convince him.
“Fine,” he resolves with a smile. “As long as you make me look good.”
“You don’t need me for that,” I laugh. “I still have about 15 minutes before my next class, can I try some test shots while you keep practicing?”
“Now? I look terrible,” he says hiding behind his hands.
“Calm down,” I laugh. “They’re test shots, I just want to get a feel for the way you move and try to figure out how I want to approach this.”
“Ok ok.” He stands up and turns his music back on as I pull out my camera and get ready for him to begin.
The next 15 minutes I watch as he dances back and forth across the floor. I don’t know much about contemporary dance at all, but I know that he looks amazing doing it. I take lots of photos of him using different angles and camera settings. It’s hard to tell on the tiny camera screen if they’re any good, but hopefully when I pull them up on my computer I’ll have enough to help me decide on the focus of my project.
Before I leave for my next class he tells me he’ll let me know his practice schedule so we can do this again with much more time to spare. I’m just happy to have a subject for my project, and thankfully it’s someone I know to keep it from being totally awkward.
After my class I go home to my apartment and am surprised to see my roommate Jin sitting on the couch. He’s a theater major, and like the rest of us in the arts, he spends most of his time somewhere on or off campus perfecting his craft. To see him at home at a normal time is rare.
“Did you see me in the paper??” He asks enthusiastically holding up a copy of the school’s student run newspaper.
“Why were you in the paper?” I ask taking the paper and skimming through an article written right next to a large photo of his brightly smiling face.
“Because I’m so handsome,” he says with a cheesy grin.
“That can’t be it,” I tease.
The article actually talks about how he had been casted in his third leading role in the theater department so early in the semester. He transferred here from community college last year and has pretty much taken the school by storm since then. It also mentions how he’s always a sought after person to host campus events thanks to his natural ability to entertain an entire crowd, whether he’s hosting a charity game show for one of the school clubs, or a luncheon for professors, he can always get laughs out of people.
“Of course that’s why!” He playfully boasts. “The rest is just filler.”
“If you say so,” I laugh.
“That’s not the best part though!” He says in excitement. “My friend JK said he would take video of me and edit it into a highlight reel so I can use it to send to agencies. Before you know it I’ll be all over the tv! Should I give you my autograph now?”
“I’ll pass,” I joke handing him the paper back.
“Whatever,” he says playfully rolling his eyes. “I think Namjoon really captured my charm in this story.”
He smiles big and bright as he continues boasting about his first feature in the newspaper. I won’t mention that I know he most likely got the feature because the reporter, Namjoon, and Jin are good friends. Not that it makes a difference because Jin is still an amazing actor and has more charisma than I’ve ever seen in one single person. If he wasn’t friends with the newspaper’s art beat writer then he would still catch everyone’s attention one way or another. I’m just surprised it took this long for him to be featured in anything.
Later in the evening Jimin texts me his practice schedule. He mentions that he’s actually going to spend the week planning out his choreo, which he does on paper, and tells me that probably wouldn’t be interesting in photos, but I insist on capturing every step in the process. If I’m going to have a series from start to finish, then I want to get every little detail I can.
We set aside time for me to go by his apartment tomorrow while he works on it. It turns out that he lives in the complex next to mine so that works out perfectly. We live on a street of apartments that aren’t affiliated with the school but are mostly rented by students. I chose this over school sponsored housing just in case I wasn’t able to find anywhere else to live after graduation. I figured it would be much easier this way instead of scrambling for a new home once I’m done with school.
The next evening I go over to Jimin’s apartment once we’re both done with our classes for the day. He takes me to his room and I prep my camera to take shots of him drawing and scribbling in his notebook.
I don’t know anything about dance, but I’m learning that dancers don’t just go out on the floor and start moving, they actually draw everything out and make lots of notes.
Jimin plays a piano track over and over on his phone as he draws out every detail of his choreography in his notebook. As I’m taking pictures of him I can’t help but notice that this is a different song than the one he was dancing to yesterday.
“Did you change the song?” I ask when he takes a moment for a sip of water.
“Yeah, it’s a song Yoongi had been working on all summer. He let me listen to the final arrangement and it was perfect. We decided to make it a joint recital and he’ll play live as I dance. And he’ll make me look good! Do you know how many people I can get to see my performance if I say Yoongi will be playing live?”
Yoongi is another top student at the school. He’s one of the best pianists this school has ever seen, and he already has a few professional producing credits under his name. I’ve met him a few times before but he’s usually short of words. I can’t exactly tell if he’s terribly introverted and shy or if he thinks he’s too good to say much to anyone else, but I try to give him the benefit of the doubt since I don’t really know him that well.
“You really got Yoongi to agree to play for your recital?”
“Why are you so surprised?”
“I’m not,” I laugh. “It’s just that he doesn’t seem to even talk to anyone, I just don’t know how you got him to play your recital.”
“I know how he seems to everyone, but he’s actually really cool deep down. And really nice! I didn’t even have to beg him to do my recital, he agreed right away!” Jimin beams with his big smile that presses his eyes shut rendering him happily blind. I can’t help but smile back at his contagious enthusiasm.
He spends more time planning his choreography and taking brief moments every so often to talk to me. I tell him he can pretend I’m not there but he says it feels weird to not acknowledge me every once in a while. As we’re getting ready to wrap up Hoseok comes home with a large pizza in tow.
“Mina!” He shouts. “I didn’t know you would be here!” He sets the pizza down on the kitchen counter and gives me a big hug.
Hoseok and I have seen each other from time to time, and although we’re not close, he always greets me with a big smile and a hug as if we’re old buddies. He has a very bright personality which is almost the opposite of the dark dominating persona he has when he’s dancing. He’s like a different person on stage it’s a bit scary.
“Do you want some pizza?” He asks as Jimin is already grabbing a slice out of the box.
“Sure, I could eat.” I say making myself comfortable on one of their barstools.
I end up spending another two hours in their apartment enjoying pizza and chatting. Our discussions are mostly focused around our classes and semester projects. Jimin is stuck with one of the worst professors for art history and Hoseok and I offer him our condolences as we’ve both already suffered through that class in previous semesters.
Jimin and I plan to meet again next week in one of the practice rooms so I can begin getting shots of him in action. I’m excited about this project now. Jimin is a great dancer and it would give my portfolio a major boost to have photos of him in it. Knowing that he’ll also be working with Yoongi makes me even more ecstatic. The two of them are the greatest this school has probably ever seen, I just know their recital will be incredible!

Week 7 Prompt:
1. One discourse community that I am a part of is the ISU Fraternity, Alpha Sigma Phi. This discourse community is a group of men who share the same 3 values. We support the philanthropy of the make a wish foundation and have many events where we raise money for our philanthropy. Our Asig motto is "To better the man." The community communicates during weekly chapter meetings, various different social media forms, and during our events. It is a great community to be involved in for leadership experience, making long-lasting friendships, and personal growth.
2. Another discourse community that I used to be a part of was my varsity track and football teams. We shared the common goal of improving for our high school season and creating bonds. It was a great way to be involved outside of school and to create friendships. We had the common goal to improve in our techniques and be the best team to win championships or meets. We all put in the same amount of effort and time. We communicated through Snapchat, group me, and during our daily practices in person.
3. The last discourse community that I know of is the various clubs on campus. They all have specific goals and have ISU students with similar interests joining them. In these clubs you have meetings and various events to achieve the group's goal. The way these discourse communities communicate is through social media, meetings, and having members present in public to have members join. Being a member of these clubs allows you to grow as a person and with your peers. They also have huge educational benefits.

Football snarks, sass and observation…
10. No air horns in stands… nice, because the little one that the person liked to chirp, chirp I feel cost the team the last home game victory making referees mad.
Plus… it didn’t have me hoping the weather didn’t freeze it so they’d not use it for a Toot concerto. (Let’s say chirp, chirp is nice… as is toot when they used it as they did)
9. Folks think it’s freezing at 50*F here and thinking it’s odd I wear a sweatshirt and jacket.
I said “this is nothing - try covering soccer games in the winter.”
No seriously - I nearly got hypothermia at one match bundled up. In East Texas.
This was nothing.
8. The goal of the game is to run down the field and score.
It is not try to set a record for weeks you bowl over the chain gang. (The folks who hold the orange markers for 10 yards and the sign numbering downs).
Two weeks in a row so far for bc a full out take down.
7. Yes… I want to give you $8 for nachos and a drink that is $6.
You’re the band, you need money, and I like helping the school.
I get you may get playoff games for other teams, but you can’t guarantee that beyond maybe a 6-man one because our stadium, while needing adjustment for that type of field*, is seen as a step up.
Plus, unless I am stringing for a sister paper, I usually help you in the stands if I’m not busy.
6. It’s good to see the contest I helped create to help boosters sell more programs to help fund students is working.
But seriously - the paracord keyrings are staying. No muss, fuss or thinking of 8 different designs. (I heard a comment about the change this year from a repeat winner. If they had to build the paper the past 3 weeks, he’d understand why this is better.)
5. Hornets and Yellowjacket mascots are too similar. I keep getting the schools that use the same mixed up.
At least only two schools in our class this area have insects, and is not the 7 different forms of sandstorm West Texas high schools use.
Where Texas is fortunate that Winters is more central Texas or they’d have to add the Blizzards to Whirlwinds, Sandies, Golden Tors… etc.
Yes, there’s a team called the Winters Blizzards. There’s also the Brazosport Exporters and Lubbock Westerners, Atlanta Rabbits, Cuero Gobblers and Waco Robinson Rockets that are super unique (redundancy intentional).
4. To the announcer - some of us our go to snack is Nori (seaweed), so the “nutritious snack” joke for concessions does get a bit old.
Plus, there are substantial foods there that fill and you don’t get hungry again like burgers.
(FTR, I got the nachos because the burgers sold out and I needed fuel on top of getting warm).
3. Sound system works… I think they hear you in the next town. The volume can change based on attendance.
(I’ll concede after fixing the pink lights with proper LED ones the sound system needed fixing, but still)…
2. Yes, 26/24 years later I still know my mascot dance steps. Yes, I will on occasion react like a mascot to announcements. (Years reflect both times I’ve been a mascot).
Finally..
1. WHY are you playing the theme to “Die Another Day” when your team hasn’t won a single game all season?
Seriously… It Was the most baffling. Surely the band director KNEW the song’s use.
I guess I concede that at least no one was injured when they played it.
And this wraps up another of Mel’s snarky football recaps.
•••••
*(6-man football is played on a field that’s 20 yards shorter and about the same on width. The extra points system after a touchdown is reversed, 2 for kicking it and 1 running in.
They also have a mercy rule system - about 50 points ahead at half.
11-man doesn’t have this as of yet, but coaches can agree before the game if a score goes beyond x point the clock runs down UNLESS official time out or an injury.
If you’re confused - good. I cover it too and still am).

PPG's Final Ride (Edit)
Jacob Smith
Emma Weltz is a 5'7 point guard from Timmins Ontario who has won a national bronze medal, a national silver medal and a OUA silver medal, but long before that the journey started with a trio that would set the foundation for a build to one of the greatest in the country. Emma attended O'Gorman High up until grade 12 where she moved to Southwest Academy of the OSBA, far away from her home but towards two people who would go with her to the next destination.
Laura Donovan, a 5'11 shooting guard from London Ontario and Claire Litchfield, a 5'6 guard from London Ontario, also attended Southwest during the 2017 season, and the eventual friendship that would grow from their year together away from home made the transition to their next step that much easier.
Tumblr media
"Playing with Laura and Claire was an awesome experience, I quickly became very good friends with the both of them and that made my transition to the OSBA a lot smoother and easier. There were so many good OSBA teams that we played against and that was crucial to my development as a player and allowed me to get to where I am today," Emma reflected on her year in the OSBA.
Though they all ended up in the OUA playing for the Queen's Gaels, Emma says "it was never a plan, it just worked very well for us. We were all being recruited by different schools at the time. I had committed to Queen's pretty early into the OSBA season and they decided a little later but I was so excited when they decided to commit because we were already great friends and we were that much more comfortable."
The easier transition to the next level and the Queen's Gaels coached by Dave Wilson, set Emma off on a strong foot as she earned Queen's Women's Basketball Rookie of the Year playing all 23 games at 14.2 minutes per game. Emma didn't become a full time starter until her third year but starting 15 of 22 games in her second year, she showed early that she could make an impact in the fast paced guard centric style that Queen's operates.
Emma came into Queen's with Laura Donovan who would be with her throughout her entire Gaels career and Abbey Hetherington who would be there through all but her final year. They were joining Bridget Mulholland who would also be there throughout all five years of Emma's career, and in her second year, a fifth was added. Julia Chadwick joined the team the year after to form a pact of five that grew closer and closer through the years.
"We got used to each other very quickly. Especially between the last two years, we've figured out how to really play with each other and we know how to distribute the ball between one another."
The Gaels got a new interim head coach in 2019, James Bambury who was an assistant coach under Dave Wilson previously. With that new leadership, the Gaels built on their previous results, finishing with the same 15 wins but making it a game further in the OUA playoffs, beating the Laurier Golden Hawks and falling to the TMU Bold in the second round. Emma doubled her points and rebounds per game in her second year shooting at a higher percentage and starting 15 of 22 games.
Tumblr media
The next time Emma took the court was 2021-22 after the season was shut down in 2020 for the COVID-19 pandemic. "Training in COVID was certainly an adjustment. We definitely had to be creative in practice. For instance, we had outdoor basketball nets set up on the concrete behind the Queen's football stadium, and practiced there until we were able to be back together indoors. I think getting to play our first game after COVID was so exciting - it felt like the time would never come. I think playing through those times was a testament to our team's resilience."
Emma's first game back was a 85-52 preseason win over the Western Mustangs on October 16 2021, a lead-in to a very unique season. The OUA decided going into the 2021 season that due to the ongoing pandemic, the best option for a season was to limit as much travel as possible, creating a 14-game schedule where the OUA was split in half and the eastern and western conference would only play games within their own conference.
The Gaels went 9-5 during the shortened regular season, losing to the eventual undefeated champions in the TMU Bold, 67-58 in the second round of the OUA playoffs. Though the chance for a OUA title ended early, their season wasn't done yet as they hosted the U SPORTS Final 8 at the Queen's ARC, setting themselves up with a first round matchup with the Saskatchewan Huskies in front of a raucous crowd.
"It was an unbelievable experience, the support we had from friends and family and the alumni," Emma said of hosting the national championship tournament, "it was electric in the gym and I think that really helped us get to where we got to that year. We went in with nothing to lose and we just wanted to defend our home court. I wish we could host nationals every year because it was the best experience."
Tumblr media
The Gaels game against the defending National Champs in the Saskatchewan Huskies ended with a 62-55 victory. Emma had 16 points on 5 of 9 shooting, backed up by 19 points from Julia and 12 rebounds from Sophie holding the Gaels efforts inside the paint against a physical Huskies squad.
Up next the Gaels went against the efficient shooting of the Winnipeg Wesmen in the U SPORTS Semifinals. Winnipeg shot 49 per cent from the field in the game leading them to a 80-78 victory, and it was the three point shooting of the Gaels and the point guard skills of Emma that kept the Gaels in it until the end.
With one game between the Gaels and a bronze on their own court, they used their physicality and relentlessness to get through the Brock Badgers. They defeated Brock 75-57 in the U SPORTS Bronze Medal game and behind six made threes from Isabella Belvedere, five assists from Emma and 16 points and 13 rebounds from Julia, the Gaels were medalists in the National Championship, with only room to grow going into the following year.
Emma's fourth season with the Gaels is by all counts her best. From a team perspective going 21-1 and making it to both the OUA and U SPORTS Championship final. The core of Laura, Bridget, Julia and Emma looked as dominant as ever and there was really no team outside of the other top two in their division in Carleton and Ottawa, that could run with them for 40 minutes.
From an individual perspective, Emma started the most amount of games in her fourth season in 22 games. She started 26 minutes per game, down from 30 the previous year but in an expanded back-to-normal schedule, shot a career best 35 per cent from three, put up a career high 72 assists and a career high 198 points over the course of the season.
The only team Queen's lost to throughout the year was Carleton, falling 64-32 to the Ravens in the regular season, 70-57 in the OUA championship and 71-59 in the National Championship final. The signature on a great season from Emma came in the first game of the championship tournament, against the UQAM Citadins. In a 75-72 overtime victory over UQAM, Emma put on display exactly why you want her leading your team in any situation. She played 40 minutes, shot 56 per cent for a game high 29 points, accrued four steals but on top of the numbers, she led the team through constant pushbacks from the Citadins.
Emma showed that she wanted it more than anyone she was going up against, and that leadership and energy is something she prides herself on, "A lot of my leadership is based off my energy that I have for my team."
It doesn't take you long watching the Gaels to see Emma's energy and the pride she plays with every minute of the game,

Teamwork Reflection (Post 2)
The purpose of our group report was to investigate and analyse of employers’ expectations of the employability of new graduates and how to bridge any skills gaps. Our group consisted of four members, each with specific roles. Each one of us was responsible for researching and referencing two articles. Besides that, Faiza wrote conclusion, Thakshika wrote the introduction, and Belinda and I worked on the body paragraphs.
Our group initiated the project by creating a WhatsApp group for communication. We divided our writing tasks by setting a due date and began our individual research on two articles, including writing annotated bibliographies. The group primarily used Holmesglen library as our main source for research article. Then we sent into WhatsApp group and gave each other feedback. After reviewing and giving each other feedback, we made corrections and shared our work to the group again. Once all information and research were gathered, we started performing our roles and take the responsibilities. Belinda and I started the report because we thought it is best to write the body paragraphs first. After Belinda and I finished the body paragraphs, Thakshika and Faiza began doing their parts.
However, there were some challenges that we faced, such as communication issues, time management and role confusion. One of our team members had family commitments and could not attend class, making communication difficult. Fortunately, we obtained her school email and with the help of our teacher, we were able to add her to the group and everything went well. Another problem was a confusion about responsibilities, which led to the report being summited three times.
According to Senior (2019), people need to have good relationships within the team in order to produce good work. Members have to understand and give each other opportunities to show ideas and feedback. The article uses a metaphor:
When we claim that the patient is an essential member of the team, it must sometimes feel like their role is akin to the role of the ball on a football team, kicked back and forward between the team members in search of that elusive goal. (Senior, 2019)
Overall, writing this group report involved careful planning, effective collaboration and rigorous research. It was an opportunity to enhance skills in research, writing and communication. I personally appreciated our teamwork a lot as we communicated and helped each other solve the problems effectively. Any challenges that we encountered were learning experiences that will help to improve our future work.

Tajfel wanted to understand the conditions under which people would discriminate against members of an outgroup. So in the 1960s he conducted a series of experiments, each of which began by dividing people into two groups based on trivial and arbitrary criteria, such as flipping a coin. For example, in one study, each person first estimated the number of dots on a page. Irrespective of their estimations, half were told that they had overestimated the number of dots and were put into a group of “overestimators.” The other half were sent to the “underestimators” group. Next, subjects were asked to distribute points or money to all the other subjects, who were identified only by their group membership. Tajfel found that no matter how trivial or “minimal” he made the distinctions between the groups, people tended to distribute whatever was offered in favor of their in-group members.
Later studies have used a variety of techniques to reach the same conclusion. Neuroscientist David Eagleman used functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to examine the brains of people who were watching videos of other people’s hands getting pricked by a needle or touched by a Q-tip. When the hand being pricked by a needle was labeled with the participant’s own religion, the area of the participant’s brain that handles pain showed a larger spike of activity than when the hand was labeled with a different religion. When arbitrary groups were created (such as by flipping a coin) immediately before the subject entered the MRI machine, and the hand being pricked was labeled as belonging to the same arbitrary group as the participant, even though the group hadn’t even existed just moments earlier, the participant’s brain still showed a larger spike.
We just don’t feel as much empathy for those we see as “other.” The bottom line is that the human mind is prepared for tribalism. Human evolution is not just the story of individuals competing with other individuals within each group; it’s also the story of groups competing with other groups—sometimes violently. We are all descended from people who belonged to groups that were consistently better at winning that competition. Tribalism is our evolutionary endowment for banding together to prepare for intergroup conflict. When the “tribe switch” is activated, we bind ourselves more tightly to the group, we embrace and defend the group’s moral matrix, and we stop thinking for ourselves. A basic principle of moral psychology is that “morality binds and blinds,” which is a useful trick for a group gearing up for a battle between “us” and “them.” In tribal mode, we seem to go blind to arguments and information that challenge our team’s narrative. Merging with the group in this way is deeply pleasurable—as you can see from the pseudotribal antics that accompany college football games. But being prepared for tribalism doesn’t mean we have to live in tribal ways.
The human mind contains many evolved cognitive “tools.” We don’t use all of them all the time; we draw on our toolbox as needed. Local conditions can turn the tribalism up, down, or off. Any kind of intergroup conflict (real or perceived) immediately turns tribalism up, making people highly attentive to signs that reveal which team another person is on. Traitors are punished, and fraternizing with the enemy is, too. Conditions of peace and prosperity, in contrast, generally turn down the tribalism. People don’t need to track group membership as vigilantly; they don’t feel pressured to conform to group expectations as closely. When a community succeeds in turning down everyone’s tribal circuits, there is more room for individuals to construct lives of their own choosing; there is more freedom for a creative mixing of people and ideas. So what happens to a community such as a college (or, increasingly, a high school) when distinctions between groups are not trivial and arbitrary, and when they are emphasized rather than downplayed?

International Students: A Guide to Surviving and Thriving in Your Freshman Year
By Tanvi Dinesh
Class of 2023, Rutgers Business School, Member of the Honors College
Tumblr media
Moving to college was a very big step for me, as I imagine it is for anyone.
However, being an international student from India definitely added another layer of uncertainty and confusion. I was really excited to start college but I was quite oblivious to the cultural differences and academic expectations at Rutgers. My first semester I had to navigate a college course schedule, new friendships, and being away from home for the first time. It was a whirlwind of excitement and apprehension. But I survived, with a little help from some amazing people at the Honors College and beyond. Here are some ways I made Rutgers feel like my home away from home!
1. International Student Community
As an international student it is important to create a strong support system at college. Thankfully, Rutgers has tons of resources that can help. My freshman year I was extremely lucky to have the support of my mentor in residence and friends at the HC. I also found that it was extremely helpful to talk to other international students, as they were going through a similar transition. I made sure to go to events such as Friendship Fridays with Rutgers Global and chose to become an international student orientation leader to continue to meet and help other international students. Finally, whether you need help with immigration forms, on/off- campus jobs, or even just questions about your taxes, Rutgers Global-International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS)  is always there to help.
2. Honors College Community
My freshman year at the Honors College allowed me to meet some exceptional people and exposed me to an array of opportunities. Take advantage of the amazing and diverse community around you and the amazing resources you have access to. The Honors College Advisors helped me decide on a minor and create a four year plan that has helped me through my time at Rutgers. Furthermore, my favorite HC experience was participating in the HC Ally mentoring program, and I would recommend you apply to be a mentee your freshman year. I also really enjoyed working on the residence hall association team and creating fun events throughout the year.
3. Exploring Clubs on Campus
Whether you’re a freshman or a senior it is never too late to join a club. Just go on the getINVOLVED website for Rutgers and explore numerous clubs and events happening on campus every day! Personally, I love to attend observing nights at the Rutgers Astronomical Society and meet fellow students in my major at the Business Information Technology Society.
4. Getting in the School Spirit
After having my freshman and sophomore years cut short by the pandemic, I was set on making the most of my junior and senior years. Rutgers sports games have really helped me find my school spirit. Since returning to campus, I have gone to every football and basketball game, and I cannot recommend it enough! Coming from India, I didn’t even know how American football was played but over the years I have gotten to learn more about it and I love watching football now. Doesn't matter if we win or lose; I have a great time cheering for Rutgers and watching our teams face off against other universities.
5. Staying Active on Campus
While staying on top of your school work is extremely important, I hope you will take the time to go outdoors and stay active during the semester! I personally believe that exercising helps me reflect and stay motivated to continue working hard in my classes. I recommend rock climbing at the College Avenue gym and swimming at Sonny Werblin Recreation Center. When the weather is nice, I also really enjoy hiking at the Livingston Preserve to get some fresh air and see some wildlife. If you’re more interested in team sports you can always join an Intramural Sports team and make new friends who enjoy playing the same sport as you!
6. Finding an On-Campus Job
A campus job allows you to learn new skills and get real world job experience. Most student jobs are quite flexible and you get to decide which shifts align with your class schedule. Through my campus job, I have improved my communication skills and become a better team player. This job gave me insight into the culture at American workplaces and gave me the confidence to interview for internships my junior year. I would recommend searching for student jobs on Handshake and the Rutgers Job Board.
7. Finding an Internship
Internships are a great way to get work experience and explore industries you might be interested in. Many companies recruit for summer internships starting as early as September of the previous year. So depending on which industry you want to work in, start exploring companies and programs early. I would suggest you focus your search on roles that would be a good fit for your skills and tailor your resume to showcase all your knowledge and experiences. Finally, it is important to network with others in your industry. Do not be afraid to talk to your professors or join clubs to get assistance. You can also reach out to our Dean of Professional Development at the HC, as well as Rutgers Career Services, which has numerous resources and a dedicated team of advisors to help students put their best foot forward in the job market.

2007 Special Kick-Off Edition - College Football's Top 10 Blowouts
Florida State's defense end up being enough to seal down T.C. State however. Florida State's defense is the third ranked defense your past conference allowing just 249.8 yards per game and it will looking to feast on quarterback Daniel Evans who will be making just his second career beginning. Evans enjoyed some success in leading the Pack over Boston College by throwing a 34 yard touchdown pass in the closing seconds of the to earn a victory, but the Seminoles see him as fresh meat. Expect numerous blitz packages out in the Seminoles in Thursday night's matchup. FSU has among the many fastest defenses in the continent and Believe they'll consider getting to Evans. The traders would purchase these WoW selling financial records. There is shop bán acc liên minh tốc chiến to have keep goal while purchasing directly from internet pertaining to foreign countries, is which is more than likely that your bank account will be closed. So to purchase brand new WoW accounts, there are various aspects to maintain. Never sign up for a place of Warcraft characters or character to a public place e.g. a cyber cafe, institution, library etc. as other people may have signed up here and also you may face the possibility that you'll being barred for possessing several health care records. Remember not to create any other individual apply for at the same place you actually signed up for a new of Warcraft characters or maybe a EVE Online character. But our school was small in number, actually for fat loss products . 16 years we for you to apply a good exception for the rule in order to play AA football because we were a single A sized school. This meant we never had the numbers (most acc game your varsity teams never had over 25 players, so our kids had to get both ways all season). We rarely had outstanding talent and if we did it was one or two players every five years or therefore. This means we were always out-numbered, the players rarely got a rest, a associated with them played hurt the actual top it all, we played from a District the place where a team visited the State playoffs yearly. "21" shop acc game is really a game for just two or more that I was introduced to while I was an assistant at the Philadelphia Cc. There were three assistants at the club as well as often had time to play 21. After i was can be professional in the Biltmore Forest CC, the manager and i would play 21 every sunday after feast. It was fierce, good competition. I did expect the Michigan offense to convey more success and for those folks that watched the game, the previous few minutes were breathtaking. Personally, I really feel that I walked over a mile pacing backwards and forwards during the. For those of you that had confidence our own selection, we certainly thank you very much. The biggest thank you stays in Kirk Ferentz, who employed a conservative style of offense and settled for field goals to be sure he don't get shutout in the. Yes,they're obviously going to change the password might automatically be locked beyond your buy acc game own plan. Guess what? All your gold, armor etc., and also so on., that you've worked so hard to obtain for your other characters, disappears in the trice. Gonna most be sent to an alternative character they're power leveling for another person. Besides a rout, really are USC or football fans in general getting produced by this deal? Farmville won't be considerably of a trial or provide any sort of learning experience. But someone has got to warm within the band as well as the USC Cheerleaders and may possibly as well be another involving Vandals.

Importance of Sports In Schools
Tumblr media
Sport is an integral part of every student's life. Sports teaches students to be strict, punctual, and active. They need to stay fit and healthy. Exercising and playing outdoor games help children learn better as well as lose stress and energy.
Thus, we must keep sports in the school curriculum as it plays a vital role in the overall development of a child.

As per research conducted by schools in Mumbai ,Sports in Schools is a program initiated by our PM, Mr. Manmohan Singh, in 2005. It aims at Samarpan jeene ki aur (empathy for sports and games). He believes that by introducing sports, we will be able to develop confidence in children.
They will become responsible citizens of our country and increase their co-curricular activities in schools and colleges. Sports in educational institutions like schools and colleges play a crucial role in developing a child physically, mentally, and educationally.
Another survey done by schools in Pune ,study shows that students in schools with a good sports program have a higher overall GPA, according to a survey conducted in 2009. The study showed that out of the group of high school students surveyed who had access to a good sports program, only 35 percent dropped out of school at the end of the 4th grade.
In schools with no sports programs available, 60 percent dropped out by the end of their senior year. A similar study showed that adolescents from low-income families were more likely to graduate from school if they had access to an extracurricular activity such as youth sports.
Importance of Sports In Schools
Sports are essential for students because they are one of the best ways to help them in building their confidence. Good marks give students a great outlook towards life.
Students should be allowed to participate in sports. Playing different team games will make their mindsminds alert and energetic and help them increase their stamina level. Students should be given a chance to learn to play tennis, football, cricket, basketball, etc...
Some people say that sports are secondary for education programs. They don't know the importance of sports in schools. Sports help to spend time more effectively, contribute to the development of teamwork, teach discipline, courage, and tenacity. Schools with good marks have more successes in life.
Sports in schools are a great healthy activity for the kids. It creates a good balance between the physical and mental stresses of a student.
Sports in schools help lessen or prevent depression caused by study pressure, and sports relieve stress, offer good exercise, and most importantly, teach most kids a healthy lifestyle.
Conclusion
Sports play a vital role in bringing adolescent kids together. It provides them with physical exercise and develops self-confidence, team spirit, and cooperative abilities among participants.
It undoubtedly contributes to students' development of personal and mental skills such as motivation, co, communication, and bullying prevention. Moreover, it instills a sense of community spirit and identity into students' lives.
This will undoubtedly help students enhance their physical fitness and earn more success in the future.
The importance of sports in schools is paramount to students' overall development. More and more students are getting involved in sports during their high school years, which is a very good thing for their health, yet it's almost looked down upon by parents.
Schools should consider adding more sports programs to allow every student to get involved, and even if the sport isn't the student's best, it will still be a great experience and teach them a skill they can apply later in life.

Tumblr media
Here is our annual HNY photo...same location as the last several years and same resistance from all to stand and pose even when promised it will only be a few seconds haaha! The teller of time is our kids’ heights. Zen taller than me Kai getting there. There are 3 dogs in this picture but one seems to be hidden in there somewhere haaha!
As always I am bursting with so much to share and a desire to hear back from all of you too, but alas, rushing between things and as happens in posts after a while, not sure where to start, so suffice to say I really will write more regularly and in fact as I am trying to write a new show / book / film, not sure what it will be, there will be lots more writing on here henceforth.
Last year saw a return to normalcy for us all after the 21ish months of covid lockdowns and more. Needless to say it had been a very strange time yet as an eternal optimist I did look for the silver linings and we all got through but being back to real normal things is and was fab! Prayers for those who went through very touch time and tragedy.
School for our kids, real, physical school topped the back to life list. Then gradually letting go of masking when safe to do so. The long awaited amazing family trips and holidays. Travel. Me back acting in a big film, The Archies. My standard joke that goes with that revelation - ‘I am not Betty, I am not Veronica, I am the Mother!’ Haahha, took me a while to accept playing the role of Archie’s Mum in the film, but they are young stylish cool Mums and a film directed by fab Zoya Akhtar with the super cast and crew it has, was an immediate yes for me, when I got picked post auditioning. Will reveal more about it nearer release but yes, good to be back on the big screen and I hope you all like my work and it is all a success touch wood:)!
Now onto creating new work. Have a few things up my sleeve and hoping to make them happen successfully touch wood:).
@roopaksaluja and #BANGBANG continue to work hard and as they do more in the production and content creation space with long form global content potential blockbusters in development I hope they succeed too touch wood:).
Football has become an even bigger part of our lives. It helped us loads in lockdown being a release and surprisingly exciting regular source of joy and fitness as our family played lots. Kai plays football for BARCA Elite now and Zen and him for school and us managing to go to Qatar for a #WorldCup match reiterates the joy sport and football brings to us all.
#YogaWithTara that I began at the start of lockdown and unexpectedly continued bi weekly for over 2 yrs and in fact still do at least once a week helped keep me going too and is and was a super way to stay in touch with my communities. #SaturdayNoonLiveWithTara too.
