Dear Gus & Magnus,

Today was my last day to write/have for myself, but Mom and I are so tired from Magnus not sleeping that we took a nap after we got you two to school. I met Will, John, and Bone at Bone's house for a couple of games of hearts at lunch, then I got my hair cut at 3pm. I capped the week by reading a book (On Animals by Susan Orlean) with an Americano and a blueberry muffin at Mylo, then I went home so Mom and I could get ready for the Garver Christmas party at the Museum of Fine Arts.

Our plan was to hit the Garver party for a minute, then go have drinks and appetizers at a few different restaurants to celebrate Mom's birthday -- she turns 35 years old tomorrow, and Yiayia's spending the night with us so we didn't have to rush home. But then Mom said she was having too much fun at the Garver party to leave. We jumped into the photobooth to take these pictures and had a little trouble on timing the clicks.

We eventually left with Jacob & Jamie and Kate & Keith and went to Rock Town Distillery for a bit before calling it a night.

Today’s heartwarming story of the day:

Remember Koala boy? My student sidekick? My guy?

He gave out koala valentines today and he also brought for me his own koala’s brother. His is called Chompy-Santa brought him all the way from Australia. He always talks about going home and cooking Chompy dinner (not green beans because he never eats the green beans when koala buy ‘cooks them’ for him). Or how Chompy waits for him to come home from school all day long.

So I have the absolute incredible honor of having Chompy’s brother now, who koala boy helped me name Humpty Dumpty. And I feel like I won an Oscar today because of it, and I will never ever get rid of it.
