Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre. Review
Like him or loathe him Guy Ritchie certainly works fast. He’s made four films since being the director for hire on Disney’s live-action Aladdin in 2019. That may be in part because the film discussed here sat on the shelf for the best part of two years. This was due to some unfortunate timing with a subplot involving Ukrainian villains and the worldwide closure of its initial producers. As with…

Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre
Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre [trailer]
Special agent Orson Fortune and his team of operatives recruit one of Hollywood's biggest movie stars to help them on an undercover mission when the sale of a deadly new weapons technology threatens to disrupt the world order.
I found it a bit boring. There was very little chemistry between any of the leads. Everyone seemed to be performing on his or her own.

I think it's funny that The Great has so little in common with the actual life of Catherine the Great that it accidentally ends being a spiritual adaptation of the life of Maria Carolina.
I THOUGHT THE SAME THING!!! Reading about Maria Carolina's early years as queen just felt like reading about the first season of The Great. Like the parallels are INSANE: the childish, crude, mercurial king that has all his court at his whims? The highly clever and witty princess that wants to assert her power and bring Enlightenment policies to her new kingdom?? The totally mismatched pair that somehow make their marriage work because he ends up wrapped around his wife's finger??? They reseted it in season 2 but Catherine was even Austrian in the pilot!! Tony McNamara WHY did you put yourself in a corner making a loose adaptation of Catherine the great's life when you could've done a historically accurate show about Maria Carolina and Ferdinando that would've been pretty much the same!!
Now I want a The great-esque series about them, the screenwriters wouldn't even have to invent anything we have lots of testimonies of the absolutely unhinged Neapolitan court in Ferdinando's time.

In the International Original Comics Art Auction, curated by Filippo Piras, closing today, Monday 10th July 2023, the most sought…
