It’s gonna be an unpopular opinion but somedays I wish he’ll do something so ridiculously stupid that most of those fans who came with H’sH and is here just because of his pretty face would unstan him and so his popularity will fall. But unfortunately it is more likely that larries/fans who really care about him as a person and artist will leave and het harries will stay because they don’t think deeper and whatever ridiculous he would do they will quickly forget about it as soon as some aesthetically pleasing promo drop. Only solution of this situation would be that at least if there will come some fresh and younger break-through artist that they will simply move on to someone else who has even prettier face and hotter body, will constatly feed them on sm and Harry will be there for those who are serious about his music as much as he himself is serious about his music - luckily for us he’s nearly 30 and that’s the age when you are too old for teenagers to call you trendy and follow you. So again, it’s unpopular but I kinda wish for this situation because somedays I can’t stand how most of fans don’t go under the surface and I want him for those who truly understand him.

There was this discussion how interesting he is alone as a person without his tabloid drama and womanizerTM image for hets and gp and I can totally say that for me he is totally interesting and would love if he’ll give us more from his personality, his sense of humour or his interests because I know he’s interested in many kinds of art, he reads books and have a feeling he’s just an old soul who on one hand knows internet and memes and usage of emojis f.e. but on the other hand he’s too old for all the sh*ts teens are obsessed with, don’t have tiktok installed in his phone to use it under some fake account or simply doesn’t know what is popular because he lives in his bubble and doesn’t needn’t to keep up with trends.

It’s basically the same as you discussed Louis huge potentional for his shows - there’s a lot what both of them can give us but yet we don’t even get the minimum. At least they have each other and they personalities are fully open and we can only wonder how great they are together when one doesn’t need to hide anything and other one is fully comfortable.

I agree with your unpopular opinion. I'd rather have a smaller fanbase consisting of people who see and get him, and let's him do his thing, than him having a huge fanbase but then having to bend backwards to entertain the flighty gp majority. There are larries who disagrees and wants him to be successful over anything else. And we know Sony/Columbia don't agree, cause they will lose money. I'm a realist and i don't see that happening, even though some of us wish it. But i do see that the ones who actually thinks harry is a person of some substance will likely move on if this behaviour continues. But i think harry tm has a shelf life, they didn’t create him to last. He's not a slow burn, but a quick and fast burning star. They might change strategy, and think that a coming out will be a new era, rebrand him so that his career will last. Idk.

I do think harry is an interesting person and i think he's well spoken when he dosn't need to guard his words or speak on things he's not interested in. We see it so rarely though. He hardly does interviews anymore, both on camera or printed. And i agree that he could be so much more if they let him. Same with Louis.

Katrina is a pretty bad friend, i guess theres a reason for so many including the girls from the traphouse friend group cut her off. I dont like Stas but its pretty obvious theyre transactional friends who just use each other . She recently followed Shea again, she unfollowed her before and now what? Will she be buddy buddy with her too? No one talks about it but just because she’s dating Sam doesnt mean she too isnt riding their coattails and social climbing. No one would know her if it wasn’t for them. And about Colby, i dont get why he keeps these girls in rotation but the more he does the more indifferent i feel about him because they’re not nice girls. Neither Shea or Stas are actually nice, they’re in it for the fame and attention of it all. For example, Colby gets arrested and the first thing Shea does is tweet “please be okay”, who was that really for if not his fans? He gets blacked out drunk and the first thing Stas does is post it and make sure everyone knows because she needs to deliver, does he call them out though? No, he continues his will they wont they narrative.

I don't necessarily think she's a bad friend, i only think this transactional friendship is a real thing.

If i were kat, who's been dating sam for 7 years or whatever timeline they have, i would be very picky with my friends too. Especially since her and colby started spending more time together, i saw a lot of girls approach her, especially stas who, from what another anon told me, didn't get along with kat and vice versa. I would say Kat's selective more than she is a fake or a bad friend. As i said before, she does have her own "to blame" thing since Sam helped her platform grow. As for the other girls, Colby's at fault for feeding them. He posts, he makes a big fuss out of stuff and then the girls have nothing else to do other than blindly accepting the attention they receive for free. Afterwards, it's obvious they will act and do stuff for the hell of it, because it's not necessarily them who started this. I don't understand why he doesn't stop certain behaviour and certain things from coming out on the Internet, but if they find it entertaining, mostly they will think that we find it entertaining. Which is not the case for most people, me included.

I love that they have fun together and don't waste their youth, but there are things that should be kept private. This way there's no need for "LA is full of fake people who use us for fame", bro, u deliver the fame to them, u can't just expect them to give it back to u since u drew attention on them

I became a turtle in March’22. I love reading your answers that you give to several Qs. And it is one of the reasons I believed in them and I thought they are really dating. But yesterday I saw a clip of WYB where he was dressed as an old man. It was a clip from Day Day Up episode 20210829. When asking about kids he said “3 children? That is too much for me. 2 is OK. Any way I must have a son. I will teach him motorbike, skiing, skateboarding.” This answer of him shook me. I heard that it is very difficult for gay to adopt child in China. If he is gay and dating XZ then he should say “I have not thought of kids now.” But he sounds pretty confident about having a son. Then I kept on questioning myself. Am I missing something? Am I exaggerating their good friendship into romantic relationship? I am really sad and confused now. I know you believe that their relationship real. I'm going to do my best to answer your question as gently as possible, but I apologize if I don't quite succeed. For reasons that will become clearer, I find this question somewhat unsettling.

I don't think you realize how offensive it is, but your line of thinking comes across as "A queer guy in China who is serious about wanting kids can't really be serious about his gay relationship," and that rubs me the wrong way. It's like holding up the oppression that queer people experience, as proof of the lack of viability of gay relationships. I know that's not what you intended, Anon, but when you reflect on it I hope you can see why it feels that way.

This is a form of bigotry that queer people constantly experience, and is a huge part of how and why queer rights continue to be held back across the globe. Queer people are prevented from marrying and having kids, and then the same people who are standing in the way of those rights turn around and say, "See! Gay people are just a bunch of oversexed promiscuous pervs whose 'lifestyles' are incompatible with decent family values!!"

So when I hear you fall into a spiral of despair and doubt about DD really loving GG, just because he states openly that he wants a son... well, Anon... it just makes me so sad. It tweaks all my sensitivities about queer rights and sociocultural attitudes toward queer people - gay men especially - and it lands on me (totally unintentionally, I get it) in this saddening sort of way.

Just to be clear: DD is totally allowed to want a son - even to be determined to have a son - and still be totally gay and totally in love with and devoted to GG.

We don't know what their long term plans are, we don't know what the situation is going to be in China five or ten years from now, we don't know what queer people do in China to get around the laws, we don't know if they intend on leaving at any point... we just don't know. And it's also totally fine for DD to speak openly about wanting something that he might not yet be sure how he's going to achieve. Never underestimate that man. If there's a way, he will find it.

I find it similarly disappointing when turtles claim to believe GG and DD are a real couple, but then constantly question and challenge their relationship and fall into a wailing pit of doubt about it over the most inconsequential things. It lands on me in a very similar way. Perhaps without even realizing it, there is a strong thread of heteronormativity/homophobia that runs through a lot of that stuff.

GG and DD are real people. They've been together for years. They are clearly deeply in love. They shouldn't have to constantly prove it to us in order to keep us from going bald.

I get it, Anon, I really do. Heteronormativity is a powerful force, and we are all heavily conditioned to believe that straight relationships are normal and natural, and gay relationships are a rare, fleeting, inherently troubled thing. Especially for people who lack a certain degree or type of experience, it can be difficult to get one's head around the idea that gay relationships are actually totally normal, and are happening everywhere around us, all the time.

It's also common for new turtles to struggle to find a balance between their excitement about GG and DD and their uncertainty about GG and DD, and I don't want to be a total heel who isn't sympathetic to that process which a lot of fans seem to go through. But I think a lot of that upheaval is totally unnecessary, and fairly easily remedied by a shift in mindset.

Of course some doubt is understandable and even healthy, but to swing wildly from fervent belief to gut-wrenching doubt as some turtles tend to do, that's a sign that perhaps it's time to self-reflect a bit on what you really feel about GGDD, and what you're really trying to get out of being a turtle. Perhaps it's time to focus on things that will make you happy.

Of course everyone experiences things differently and everyone has different values and approaches, but from my perspective, fandom should be - first and foremost - about having fun. Fandom involving stars like GG and DD should be - first and foremost - about supporting them and enjoying their works. Getting overly invested in whether they're in a real relationship will only make the experience of fandom stressful and painful.

And I feel the need to point this out because it's incredibly important: no one is obligated to believe BJYXSZD. You aren't obligated, nor is anyone else. It's totally OK, totally normal, and totally fine to be unable/unwilling to believe, to falter in belief, to have never believed, to go back and forth, to still be weighing the evidence, etc. etc.

SZD might come to you or it might not, but GG and DD are always here to enjoy and support, and that's the most important thing we can focus on. Clownery is meant to be fun. If you find it isn't fun, or if you're starting to feel doubt and despair, just put your clown wig on and remember this is all fake.

I don't know if this is the answer you were hoping to get, Anon, or if it's made you feel better or worse, but hopefully it's helped a little bit.

And if my words have failed, surely GG and DD themselves are the real remedy for what ails you.

If David were giving "wait and see" style answers I'd have a bit more hope but he was talking to the Radio Times which is a reputable publication in the UK so I don't feel like he'd outright lie to them about the nature of Crowley and Aziraphale's relationship.

To be honest, both he and Michael have been pretty clear on this being a ~secret background story~ or whatever, and have repeatedly said it's up for interpretation, and I'm worried everybody's doing another Johnlock where they ignore what the people involved are saying and have convinced themselves they're getting confirmation that will never come. The difference is this would be even WORSE because of the marketing campaign for season 2 and Neil's baity comments.

I honestly don't think Neil would be affected by this either because the second anybody expresses disappointment the asexuals in fandom are going to make it all about them and about how society ignores and invalidates their kind of love etc. I think he'll be successfully shielded. There will be pissed off people (especially olds like me who were book fans first and have lived through this shit a billion times) and I'm sure a huge part of the fandom will be quietly seething but we simply won't be allowed to call it bait because "Neil has always said it's a love story and therefore canon uwu" (even if it's plausibly deniable to homophobes and eludes the casual viewer 🙄).

I also think it's very telling that Neil only drew attention to the fake spoilers circulating when a post appeared saying the season was "500% gay" and that Az and Crowley had many romantic scenes. He has also said that while the marketing dept at Amazon clearly love the show he would've advised them to do things differently were he not on strike.

I know we've all been interpreting David and Michael's tight-lipped squirming when asked about a romantic subplot as an attempt not the give EVERYthing away, but it could also be that they know they're not going to deliver what the audience wants (including, apparently, every single interviewer on press day lol) so have been ordered not to say anything that sets themselves up.

IF all of this does turn out to be bait I am going to become a fic writer just to spite Neil lol. Trust I will be writing the smuttiest fic and finding the nastiest NSFW Ineffable Husbands art imaginable and it will be gay, gay, GAY 😂

I still HOPE we're getting what we want because I'm an optimistic fool. I'm just not sure it's guaranteed in the way the fandom thinks it is.

Now, I know you’ve done a complete turnaround, but I do see where you were coming from with your first ask. It’s fun to imagine that the squirmy tight-lipped attitude is them doing their best not to spoil…but it’s sadly true that it could also be them feeling like they’re walking in a minefield, knowing that fans are anticipating something they didn’t deliver.

And I agree with you about fan reception to Neil. Like I’ve said before, spicy straights thinking they can call themselves “queer” has been absolutely disastrous to our ability to talk about queerbaiting. Because that term is really supposed to mean gaybaiting. It refers to the specific trend of shows teasing a gay relationship to get viewers hooked, but never taking it anywhere to ensure they don’t loose the viewership of homophobes. But now since everyone and their mother calls themselves “queer”, they seem to think the term queerbaiting applies to them, too. Which has led us to the point where people say “actually this show isn’t queerbaiting, because they don’t show physical affection which is aro/ace representation! Not everything has to be gay!” (In other words, “this show is gaybaiting but I’m happy about that so you can’t get upset about it”).

So, even if the show ends up being perfect textbook queerbait…we can’t say that, because of how the term has been appropriated. And we’ll have to deal with spicy straights whining about how they’re oppressed by gays wanting representation.

But as I’ve said before, I’m very optimistic about it not being bait! Let’s hope we’re right!

Okay so let’s talk Superboy Prime and his connection to Jason Todd.

I’ll be honest, I haven’t read the comic in full, exclusively because I haven’t found a copy. I want to though. But I have done extensive reading and research.

In some alternate universe, there is a boy named Clark Kent who loves comics. One day, he gets all the powers of Superman, yay! Somewhere along he gets the name Superboy Prime.

But, he is a comic book fan that is an amalgamation of every angry fanboy during 70s/80s/90s comics who wanted to see DC return to its golden-age/early silver age roots.

This was post-Dark Knight Returns, which if you ever hear that it means the era when DC decided it was time to give everyone Dark and Edgy and Angsty stories. Superboy Prime pointedly Did Not Like That. So, with his new powers, he somehow (and, again, I haven’t read this in full so this is something I don’t know for sure) gets into the main DC universe.

(Now back to what I do know).

Superboy Prime takes out his anger on the entire DC universe. He punches the universe so hard it breaks. Literally.

Essentially, DC does this thing a lot called reboots. Stories will reset, timelines will change, etc. There have only been two full reboots (Crisis on Infinite Earths and Flashpoint), but that’s a conversation for another day.

Superboy Prime’s punch essentially acted as a soft or semi reboot to the universe. Some things changed, some stayed the same.

Probably the biggest, most notable change was this punch brought Jason Todd back to life. He then proceeded to climb out of his grave.

Eventually, the League of Assassins (run by Damian’s grandfather and mother- also happy to explain that lore if you’d like) took him in and restored his body and his mind to a degree in the Lazarus Pit, a pit of green liquid with the power to keep someone immortal. It has some side effects I believe, but it is important to note that Pit Madness is fanon-made, and not a real side effect, at least to the extent fanon had made it out to be. There may be levels of more tendencies toward violence, but nothing like being taken over by only rage and whatever that fanon has made it out to be.

It took the entire Justice League to stop Superboy Prime, and he developed a debilitating fear of any of the Flashes in the process.

It’s all a metaphor for angry fandom and the power that an angry or mean fan can have.

First up, I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on the DC comics/universe, I've mentioned it before idk anyone who isn't either an avid marvel fan or not interested in this sorta genre. Even though you've said you've got gaps in ur knowledge, you're already, like, fifteen steps ahead of me.

Alright I'm gonna say it. Streaming sucks. Streaming sucks, and it sucks for two main reasons. One, too many people have had their comeback experiences ruined by feeling pressured to stream. And two, streaming prevents the artist from knowing whether people listened to their music because they like it, or because people felt pressured to meet some arbitrary goal

#i can't stop thinking about this so i just need to say it #personally I've never felt pressured to stream but I've seen too many people say that they feel guilty for not being able to stream #which is so sad #and look. Y/N almost punched him. Him throwing himself out the window was the entire reason she was annoyed at him. It had been terrifying and Y/N had thought Jesper was dead. But Jesper had taken it as another fable to tell the punters - hadn't realised how lucky he was. Y/N glowered at Jesper from across the bar as she poured him another shot.

"Maybe for you to actually pay for these shots?" Y/N asked, sliding the shot glass along the bar top to Jesper.

Jesper picked it up and downed it with one smooth movement. "Ah, it's fine, put it on my tab."

Y/N rolled her eyes but obliged, scribbling down the rapidly growing cost of Jesper's evening. He'd actually only had three shots - the rest had been spread around the entire club in celebration of something or other.

Their last job had been chaotic as usual. Jesper had thrown himself out a window, Kaz had almost gotten shot and they'd blown a few things up. But the image of Jesper falling through a window had stuck with Y/N all night.

The entire reason Y/N had ended up in the Dregs was because of her sister. Her sister, who had gone insane, and leapt off a roof, plummeting to her death in front of Y/N. Every time Y/N relived Jesper falling, she saw him in her sister's place. She saw his body instead of hers.

Which was why, Jesper making jokes about his window-smashing exploits wasn't appreciated at that moment.

"'ello, Y/N," Rotty said jogging up to the bar with a beaming smile, breaking her out of her thoughts.

"Evening, Rotty," Y/N called, setting the cleaned glasses on the side. "What can I do for you?"

"Boss wants you," Rotty replied. He gestured over his shoulder at Jesper who was singing a rowdy sea shanty with an arm around a red-haired woman who looked like an actual mermaid. "And him."

"Have you told him?"

"I did."

"And?"

"He said 'in a moment'."

"Oh for -" Y/N bought her fingers to her lips and whistled. Loudly.

The entire bar fell silent and everyone turned to stare at her. She pointed at Jesper and then up at Kaz's office door.

"You, upstairs, now," Y/N demanded.

Jesper sighed, grumbling to himself as he slid off the redhead's lap and practically stomped after Y/N as she walked up the stairs.

She paused at the top and looked down at the still silent bar. "Carry on."

The chatter and sound of money being lost quickly restarted. Y/N shut the office door behind her, the noise from downstairs all but disappearing behind the thick, iron door.

Inej was, unsurprisingly, already there. She stood near to Kaz, her hands clasped behind her back with her hood up. As Y/N approached Kaz, he looked up at her and then at Jesper who'd flopped down in a plush armchair near the window.

"Is he drunk?"

"No," Y/N replied, sitting down in the chair Kaz had in front of his desk and crossing her legs. She fanned out her skirt and clasped her hands together in her lap. "He bought shots for everyone in the club but he's only had three."

"Good, I need him sober," Kaz replied. He gave Jesper a cursory glance over his shoulder. "Jesper, come here."

Jesper stood up and skulked over to the desk, leaning over Y/N's head to see what was on the desk. "Is that -"

"Yes."

"And are we -"

"Yes."

Y/N frowned and sat forward, looking at the plans laid out on Kaz's desk. She raised her eyebrows. "The Geldrenner Hotel? Really? What's there."

"You mean who is there," Kaz corrected. He handed Y/N a newspaper cut out featuring a grainy print of a member of the Merchant Council.

"Is that Van Halla?" Y/N asked, squinting at the print. "Isn't he meant to be in Os Alta?"

"He's on holiday and is staying at the Geldrenner with his wife and entourage or fifty," Kaz replied. "And whilst he is here, he's attending the extravagant birthday of Van Eck."

"Oh, I see where this is going," Y/N said, nodding. "I saw the Van Eck birthday present list - what did Halla get?"

"The Millenium Watch."

Three pairs of eyes looked at Kaz with surprise and shock.

"I'm sorry, you want us to steal the Millenium Watch?" Jesper asked, gaping. "One of the most expensive watches in history?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"I need a new pocket watch," Kaz said with a shrug.

"And the real reason?" Inej asked, raising her eyebrows.

"I've made a deal with someone - in exchange for the Millenium Watch we get the plans to the Boeksplein."

"And what's there?"

"Need to know."

The three of them scoffed but weren't entirely surprised.

"Now, are you done interrogating me?" Kaz asked. "Because I would like to get on with the job."

'So, here's the plan.'

The hotel was ridiculous grand for the streets of Ketterdam. Granted, it did sit in the middle of the Financial District and was within view of the Stadwatch barracks to avoid any burglaries, heists or assassinations.

It was strictly reserved for the rich and wealthy and the majority of Ketterdam knew they would never be privileged enough to see inside the marbled walls.

And up until now, Y/N had thought herself one of those people.

'Jesper, Y/N, you two will go in disguised as staff. Inej will be on the roof and sneak in through the skylight.'

'And what about you, Kaz?"

"I, darling, Y/N, will be causing a distraction.'

"What do you mean there's no reservation for me?!"

Y/N looked up from the bin she was emptying. Kaz was standing at the front desk, dressed in a - quite frankly ridiculous - outfit, waving his arms around and swearing. A lot. Y/N glanced over at Jesper, a smile pulling on her lips. "I take it that that's the distraction," she whispered.

As Kaz continued to flap his arms like a bird, Y/N and Jesper headed over to the hand-operated elevator. The two of them nodded at the elevator operator.

"Seventh floor, please," Jesper said, clasping his hands in front of him.

"Oh, oh, wait, please!"

A woman, dressed in the ridiculous fashions of the wealthy, bustled into the elevator, dragging about eight different cases and hat boxes with her.

"You," she said, snapping her fingers at Jesper, "take these up to my room - number 754b." The woman turned to Y/N. "Be a dear and take these."

Before Y/N could protest, a black, leather briefcase was pushed into her arms as Jesper was pushed out the door. The elevator operator sighed and began working the elevator up to floor 7.

"I like your dress, ma'am," Y/N said, attempting to break the awkward elevator music.

"Oh, aren't you a dear!" The women cooed. "My husband - Van Halla - bought it for me."

Y/N almost dropped the briefcase.

'What floor is Van Halla staying on?'

'Seventh floor, room 54b, Inej. It's the penthouse and the only room with a skylight.'

'Which is how Inej is getting in. But how are we getting out?'

'Front door, Y/N. If this goes to plan, we'll walk out that hotel through the front door with the watch.'

'And if something goes wrong?'

'Well, then, Jesper, I guess you'd better get acquainted with Hellgate.'

The elevator trundled up to the seventh floor and Y/N traipsed after the woman - who was, apparently, Van Halla's wife - to the penthouse.

As Y/N stepped into the penthouse, one thing went through her mind.

Money does not buy you taste.

And that was coming from someone who lived in the Slat which was, to be fair, held up by sheer terror at what Kaz may do should it collapse.

"Just leave the bags in the bedroom, darling," the woman called, waving a hand to the right.

Y/N hovered awkwardly for a moment, trying to work out where exactly in the cavernous, garishly white and orange room she was pointing to. Eventually, Y/N spotted a double door - bright orange like the cushions on the sofa - and assumed that was the bedroom.

She opened the doors and almost dropped the bags.

The 'bedroom' was bigger than her room. In fact, it was probably bigger than her room, Jesper's room, Kaz's room and Inej's room combined.

"Damn," Y/N muttered, her eyes wide. "What it is to have money, huh?"

Y/N dumped the bags on the floor near the wardrobe and turned to go when a small, black velvet box sat on a table. She paused.

"Do you want me to unpack the bags, ma'am?" Y/N called, quietly approaching the table, trying to get a closer look at the engraved plaque on the top of the box.

"No, no, you're fine!"

Y/N stood in front of the table, her heart pounding. Happy birthday, Van Eck was engraved on the top of the box. Y/N reached into her pocket and pulled out an identical box.

'So, we switch the boxes?'

'Thanks to Jesper's hidden talent - no need to roll your eyes, Jesper - we have an exact replica of the watch. Minus a few details, obviously, drawings and sketches only give so much detail.'

'And if we get caught with the watch? Because either way, they'll know something's up.'

'Best not to get caught then, Y/N. However, if for whatever someone isn't at the rendevous, we'll plan something.'

'So reassuring, Kaz.'

'Oh, good, I'm glad, I was concerned I my tone wasn't coming across.'

Y/N glanced out into the main room of the penthouse and quickly switched the boxes, making sure the fake was in the exact same position as the original. She slipped the original into her pocket and stepped out of the bedroom, shutting the door behind her.

"If that's all then, ma'am," Y/N said, bowing to the woman.

"Yes, yes, thank you," she said, nodding.

Y/N headed towards the front door when it swung open and a large man, with a red face and a huge moustache, stormed in.

"Excuse me, sir," Y/N said, pressing herself to the wall as he marched past.

The man barely looked at her - he just sniffed.

"Victoria! Why did you not wait for me?" He called.

"You were busy having a go at some man, darling," the woman - Victoria - replied. "Feel better for yelling?"

"Oh, wife, you know me too well."

Y/N quickly left the room before Van Halla started kissing his wife. They were only some things she could cope with.

With the watch secure in her pocket, Y/N made her way back down to the elevator. She spotted Jesper on her way - struggling with the numerous bags Van Halla had apparently abandoned.

Y/N whistled at him and gestured her head, tapping her wrist. Jesper dropped the bags - Y/N was certain she heard something smash - and jogged up to her side.

"You got it?"

"It was surprisingly easy," Y/N whispered as they headed to the elevator. "It was lying there."

The music in the elevator played joyfully as they rode down - Y/N was trying not to bop to the light plinking piano music.

'So, once we've got the watch. How do we get out?'

'No need to point between you and Jesper, Y/N, I knew who you meant. You two will go out the servant's entrance here and meet Inej and I where the carriages are stored.'

'And if things go to shit?'

'Luckily for you, Jesper, I have plans ranging from A all the way to T.'

'What happens if we get to S? Damn, Kaz, no need to glare at me like that, Saints. You could set me on fire!'

'Shut up, Y/N.'

"Never, boss.'

The servant's entrance was quiet and empty which was a blessing for Jesper and Y/N - especially since Y/N could feel the watch box beginning to metaphorically burn a hole in her coat.

A guard was sat in the chair by the door, intently reading a book. He looked up as they approached and smiled.

"Ah, hello!" He said, standing up. "Right, let's do this quickly, shall we? I'm at a good point in my book. So, you know and I know this but I have to state it again for rules - I have to search you as you come in and out the building since we have numerous Merchants staying here. We don't want anything expensive to get stolen since we can't afford a lawsuit!" He clapped his hands. "So, which one of you wants to get searched first?"

Y/N and Jesper shared a look.

"I'll go first," Y/N volunteered, stepping forward and holding her arms out.

The guard patted her down, humming joyfully as he did so. "Perfect! And you, sir?"

Jesper stepped forward but tripped over the leg of the chair, knocking the chair over and jogging the table and knocking a vase over.

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" Jesper exclaimed, kneeling down to pick up the vase.

"Oh, it's fine, I do it all the time," the guard said, smiling. "Anyhoo."

Jesper set the vase on the table and lifted his arms. "You know, this isn't usually how I like to begin."

The guard looked up at him and raised his eyebrows, smiling. "No?"

"No. I prefer a more intimate setting."

Y/N rolled her eyes and sighed. She cleared her throat pointedly and Jesper winked at the guard, stepping aside.

"Seriously?" Y/N hissed as they walked down the side street to the garage at the back.

"It worked, didn't it?" Jesper replied.

"Oi!"

Jesper turned with a smile on his face, fully expecting it to be the previous guard. Except it wasn't. A sterner looking guard was marching towards them both with a glare in his eyes.

"The idiot back there forgot to ask for your papers," he snapped. "Papers. Now."

'What happens if we need papers to get in and out?'

'I've thought about that.'

'And?'

'Well, best get running. And try to avoid bullets.'

'Why did I expect anything else from you, Kaz?'

Jesper's hand brushed against Y/N's as he stepped forward, communicating silently the plan.

Which consisted of nothing more than run.

"We forgot our papers," YN said smoothly.

The guard raised his eyebrows. "Well, then I can't let you leave until I've contacted your supervisor. You'll have to come with me."

As the man reached out to grab Y/N's wrist, she grabbed his arm, and using all her strength, flipped him over her back and into the floor.

"Go!" Y/N yelled, shoving Jesper up the hill as she ran down it.

Y/N leapt over the guard and ran down the street, the steep gradient speeding her up. The garage was at the other end of the street - up the hill where Jesper had gone - but Y/N knew the guard would be chasing after her.

For a moment, all Y/N could hear was her pounding heartbeat, her vision bouncing up and down as she ran. And then a gunshot cracked out.

Y/N stumbled forward and then darted to the right, hiding in a bush in someone's garden as she panted. She kept quiet as she heard the guard stop right in front of her bush. Y/N didn't allow herself to relax until the guard swore loudly and jogged back up the hill.

Y/N leant her head back against the wall behind her and felt tears well in her eyes as she pressed a hand to her stomach. The bullet had gone through her back and out through her stomach. There was so much blood and the pain was overwhelming - almost blinding.

But, Y/N forced herself out of the bush and to her feet. There was a back alley with a set of stairs leading up to the garage - a very steep set of stairs, mind.

Step by step, Y/N climbed up the stairs, tightly holding onto the handrail as she climbed. Thankfully, the row of expensive-looking carriages was at the top of the stairs and Y/N's knees nearly buckled with relief when she saw the familiar slim shape of Inej.

"Inej," Y/N gasped, falling forwards onto her knees.

Inej ran over to Y/N, her feet silent on the cobbles. She knelt down next to her and held Y/N up with a hand on her uninjured side. "What happened?"

"Oh, turns out we need papers to get out," Y/N grunted, hissing with pain as Inej pressed a black handkerchief - that looked suspiciously like the one Kaz carried - against her front wound.

"Where's Jesper?"

"No idea. Where's Kaz?"

"No idea."

"Excellent, at least we're on the same - ow - page," Y/N inhaled sharply, her hand flying to grab Inej's arm as a wave of pain tossed her into a rock. "Saints."

"It went straight through, thankfully, so I think if we stitch it when we get back and keep it clean -"

"I'll live to get shot another day?" Y/N quipped, smiling despite the sheer amount of pain she was in. "I hope one of them appears with a carriage soon."

Inej kept a steady hand on Y/N's side, keeping her propped up on her knees as she tied a scarf around her waist, covering both wounds.

"Thank you," Y/N said softly, her head resting against Inej's shoulder.

"For what?" Inej asked, frowning. "For saving your life? Again? Because I'd do that even if you'd pissed me off."

A breath of laughter escaped Y/N's lips as she lifted her head. "No. Just for being here. Jesper and I..."

"I know," Inej said quietly. "Does he know?"

"About what? About how I had to watch him fall out a third storey window, not knowing if he was alive or dead? To have to cope with the mental images I have of his broken, bleeding body lying in the streets only to be thrown onto the Reaper's Barge? To know that every time I close my eyes I see Jesper where my sister was? I see Jesper jumping off the roof and plummeting instead of her? I see him staring back at me with glassy eyes and a broken neck and bleeding and -"

"Ok, ok, calm down," Inej shushed, putting a hand on the back of Y/N's head. Y/N sobbed, burying her face into the crook of Inej's neck. She cried for her dead sister, for the fact Jesper was at times an oblivious idiot and for the fact her side really fucking hurt.

"Inej I just keep seeing him lying there," Y/N sobbed. "I know he's fine but I -"

"I know, Y/N, I know," Inej said softly, stroking her hair back. She gently took her face between her hands. "But he is not your sister. Ok? Now, come on we need to get you standing."

Y/N managed to get her feet underneath her and with help from Inej, she was soon standing up - albeit a bit wobbly. Inej kept a hand on Y/N's arm, the physical contact keeping them both going as they waited for Kaz and Jesper.

Not even a minute later, a carriage rolled down the street with Kaz and Jesper in the driver's seat.

"Don't tell Jesper," Y/N said suddenly, panic in her voice.

Inej nodded. "I won't."

Kaz's dark eyes looked Y/N up and down as Jespe halted the horses to a stop. "Trouble?"

"Nothing I couldn't handle," Y/N replied, trying to hide her wince of pain as she tried to stand straighter.

"Inej?"

Y/N rolled her eyes. Kaz had quickly caught on to the fact she often downplayed her pain when injured, so he often asked literally anyone else.

"Through and through - she'll be fine if get back soon," Inej replied.

"Good, on you get."

Y/N climbed inside the carriage, sinking into the velvet green seat with a sigh of relief. Inej hovered by the open door before eventually coming to a decision.

"I'll be up front if you need me," she said softly, knowing that Y/N needed a moment alone.

Y/N had never been so grateful that Inej was her best friend. The carriage doors shut, and with the curtains pulled over the windows, it was blissfully dark. Y/N closed her eyes and relaxed as best she could - she kept a hand tightly pressed over Inej's scarf and her wound.

She didn't realise she'd fallen asleep until someone tapped her knee. Y/N jumped and opened her eyes to Jesper staring at her with eyes full of concern.

"You alright?"

"Mmmhmm."

"Y/N... why are you acting strange?"

"I'm not."

Jesper sat down opposite her as the carriage resumed moving. "You are. Ever since the last job you've been acting weird."

Y/N shrugged. "Sorry."

Jesper frowned. "Is this about the last job? Look, I didn't actually fall out a window for you..."

Jesper's words faded away as Y/N's mind was filled with the memory of Jesper falling. And then it wasn't Jesper it was her sister again. And then it was Inej. And even Kaz. Over and over again they were falling and falling and falling.

"Stop the carriage!"

The carriage had barely stopped before Y/N practically threw herself outside, her side screaming in protest at the sudden movement. She didn't give anyone a second glance as she moved off the open road and down into the hedgerow. There was a small river running through the field near them - one that leads into the Ketterdam canals - and Y/N fell to her knees on the banks of it, plunging her hands into the water.

Stupid, so, so stupid. It had been years since her sister had died and just when Y/N thought she'd moved on, Jesper pushed her back miles and miles.

Y/N leant forward, leaning on her hands as she stared down at the water, her knees getting wet as she knelt in the wet grass. She heard a twig snap and sighed. "I'm fine, Jesper, just leave me alone."

"Flattered that you thought I was Jesper, but alas," Kaz said, standing behind her.

Y/N glanced over her shoulder at Kaz. "Sorry, I'll be back in a minute."

Kaz was silent for a minute. "When the memory overwhelms you, find something to ground you. The feeling of something, the sound of something, even. It helps drown it out."

Y/N nodded, sniffing softly. She grunted as she got to her feet, her hand pressed to her side. A quick glance down and she saw red but not too much. "Sorry."

"Trauma doesn't apologise," Kaz said roughly, turning around and heading back up the hill. "So why should you?"

Y/N chuckled to herself. She spotted Jesper at the top of the hill, pacing nervously as Inej tried to calm him down. It took Y/N only a few seconds to decided what to do.

"Jesper, come here," Y/N called, waving him over.

He jogged over to her and his hands were instantly on her shoulders - almost as if he was holding her together. "I'm sorry -"

"Don't be, Jesper," Y/N said softly. She placed her hand over his and rubbed a circle on the back of his hand. "My sister went insane and jumped off a roof when I was fourteen. When I saw you fall out the window... I saw her. She landed in front of me and I stared at her dead, broken body, unable to comprehend what had happened. So, when you fell... I felt like I was fourteen again. And the fact you kept joking about it didn't help. It was nothing you did, Jesper. It's my own trauma rearing its head and wanting to take me down again. I just..."

"I understand," Jesper said softly, his eyes gentle and caring as he looked at her. "And I'm sorry."

"No, don't be. Trauma doesn't apologise so why should we?"

Kaz, who was trying not to listen, smirked to himself. He tapped the side of the carriage with the head of his cane. "Come on, lovebirds, we need to move."

Y/N turned back to Jesper and smile, despite her heart aching. "All I ask, Jesper, is if you could maybe carry me back to the carriage because I really hurt right now."

Jesper laughed. "Of course I can, love."

hello! i just wanted to say how incredibly grateful and happy i am that i found your blog. your blog makes me feel relieved that other people share the same opinions as me. every time i find a blog, that i think i’m going to like because they ship sns, i then see how anti-itachi centric they are and so i simply can’t enjoy their blog posts as much.. but when i find a blog that seems to understand itachis character and defends him i see that they hate sns .. or i find sns blogs that support sasukes idea and think he has never done anything wrong in his life.. or even worse i find blogs that ship sns but love naruhina yet hate sasusaku. it’s like i can never find a blog where i truly feel like i belong in this fandom, well except for yours! so i just wanted to thank you for creating this blog and being so active and always so nice to answer all the questions you get!! please don’t ever stop sharing your opinions. the ones who sent you hate simply can’t accept that you try to see the series from the most objective point of view. out of all the people i’ve come across on tumblr, you are my favorite naruto related blog for sure and also the only one that is able to point out the flaws in your fav characters, which i think is super rare. there’s this misconception (not only in naruto fandom but in general) that if you don’t support every action of your fav character that you’re a fake fan. so whenever someone would point out the flaws of their fav characters people will call you not a real fan of said character. i wonder who the real dog is that blindly follows orders now LOL (trying to make fun of the anti-konohas and uchiha-apologists as this is pretty much their biggest argument for hating characters that are non-uchihas and try to protect the village). as if their behavior isn’t exactly that kind of behavior they keep accusing great characters of LOL. anyway, i just wanted to tell you thank you and keep up the amazing work! ♥️

OMG!!!! Thank You So much Anon. This Thanks is actually for coming out and acknowledging that 'Yes, I am here and I also acknowledge the mistakes of everything (Characters, Clan, Village) and yet I love them nonetheless without blame shifting, without whining and without apologizing for their Questionable Acts.'.

And this ask makes me feel like I am not alone here in this platform with this views. Because, I feel like pretty much I am one of the very few who is being vocal about this apologism, atleast in this platform.... Which distresses me a lot most of the times because I have to deal with the hate asks & counters alone.

But thankfully, I got to know these lovely bloggers @seraphina-herondale and @melody-of-lost-souls who also shares similar views and helped me out many times. It doesn't mean that there's no one else out here though.. There are some regular Tumblrists who positively interact with my political posts and I believe they also don't like this persistent apologism in this fandom. It's just that I never interacted with them personally and hence I can't assume something by myself and tag them here. Otherwise, I would have.

Oh, It doesn't mean that I am slandering everyone who don't agree with me or anything. People can hate Itachi or Konoha or love NH or whatever. It's just that don't bring in too much of that bias inside the story, twist it according to your headcanon, Pass it off as facts and blame the Author for not obliging according to your whims and slandering other people who agree with what he has written. I hate Sakura. But I have never once felt like 'Kishi was a bad writer because he made Naruto to flirt with Sakura'. Or worse, 'Kishimoto is morally wrong to make Naruto revere Hiruzen and Jiraiya.... And people should not support this kind of writing'.

Because, If you don’t go Anti-Konoha and if you by any chance point out the mistakes of Uchiha Clan, then you will be branded as a Genocide supporter, Govt Bootlicker and what not. [[While in real life, I am the most Anti-Federal Govt person in my circle by involving myself in protests and all that..]]

While they don’t mind licking the foot of the their favourite character endlessly by citing He was Traumatized, He wasn’t himself, He was a child, He did this because someone provoked him, Bad writing and all those bullshit. While I could also say the same thing for Konoha like Other Villages were trying to wage war on them and that’s why they ended up doing such cruel things like Offering up Hyuga Hizashi to Kumo, and that’s why they ended up massacring Uchiha Clan, and that’s why they make Jinchurikki to not lose the power balance.... All to prevent another War which could cost even more lives.

Like... Man, How about owning up to the mistakes and still promote the Good Parts of your Favourite thing?????

She is totally owning up to the Fault that was made by her predecessor and I am pretty sure if Pain was willing to make a Peace Talk, Tsunade would gladly take it and make amends for it. Just like she made a strongly forged Alliance with Suna Village after she took over the Hokage job.

And then comes Itachi, He was also acknowledging the mistakes of the Shinobi World which uses people as an Emotionless Tool. But he also says, the way Kabuto took to go about it was wrong as well. “But it’s also wrong to just Blame him”

But those Anti-Konoha people entirely want to pin their Favourite characters’ bullshit on Konoha and bootlick relentlessly. And this is why I don’t even visit Itachi & Sasuke tags here. [[Also because I see these characters being drawn with some pink haired crap in the form of fanarts which burns my eyes]].

It’s almost like saying, ‘Joker was Right and Batman was a Fool because Joker makes sense and underwent lots of Problems’.... While I completely agree that Whatever Joker says makes sense and understandable, his approach to show his dissatisfaction is Totally wrong.

I actually have a little theory I'd like to share. It's long so bear with me.

So this whole thing started as a "standard" PR relationship with the typical yacht shots, obligatory in all PR rs 🙄 I'm certain that back then no one foresaw the fandom erupting violently the way it did, pointing out her CA and calling their rs bullshit. Now here we have a rich spoiled brat who is used to getting everything she wanted since birth. Losing to a bunch of random stranger is definitely not in her dictionary. So she set out to prove all this doubters wrong by following him everywhere (and really it was ideal, during that time Europe was in heavy lockdown, so going to the relatively free US and other countries is actually a plus. Win win for her) and documenting every single intimate moment for "ammunition"

Now at this time, I believe he's still against this whole "war" with the fans/haters so he may have asked her not to be too upfront about it, hence it was all a bit toned down, vague baitings only. To those who wondered why she didn't post all those videos as it happened, I think this is why.

As the hate continues to escalate, he likely reached a breaking point, most obvious in the Variety interview where he basically had a mini meltdown showing he's had enough. That's probably when he flipped a switch and got onboard with her. Boom! Release the Kraken! Birthday videos and she officially appeared on his post. His comment on her video for his bday to me was a very clear message of his state of mind. 🔪❤ = eat your heart out, haters! The "I'm dead" that followed was probably him realizing it also exposed his whereabouts and irresponsible behaviour during the pandemic (confirming him as a hypocrite).

From then on it's full on "war with the haters" mode with him cooperating fully. Photos with family and friends, his (disgusting 🤮) humping video for Jon, video call in Venice (even if it's recorded, he cooperated to record it), intimate family dinner, feeling each other up in the park (jeez how low can you go 🙄), you name it.

At the moment they are both busy working and are not physically together, so how to continue this? Blog and sm inflitration of course. Random anon accounts have been sending in asks to blogs speculating about how they first met, pregnancy rumours, or just picking up fights and stirring shit in general to engage and keep people's interest until they can be together again, most likely at Christmas. So prepare yourselves for a "festive" season with this two.

Now how "festive" this reunion will be, I believe depends on our reaction and interest in them from now leading to it. The more we fight them (keep calling out her CA and pointing out the fakeness of their rs), show desperation (keep wondering when it will end), or suffer (actually crying at the thought of them tying the knot or having a baby), the bigger the come back would be. Remember, they *want* to hurt you who dared doubt them and attacked them, and actually take joy at seeing you suffer.

How do you handle a stubborn spoiled child who is throwing a tantrum? You either 1. Give in and give them what they want, or 2. Ignore them until they tire themselves out. Fighting them will only make the tantrum escalate and last longer, right? Now of course I can't control how people react, but just brace yourselves and in the end whatever happened, whatever shit they pulled, please, please don't let these people ruin your Christmas or holiday season. They are NOT worth it.

This is pretty good theory.

I think that Alejandra's controversies did have something to do with how this all escalated and went down, but I don't think every single event that happened was Sebastian's passive-aggressiveness.

Really, Sebastian has only mentioned her on Instagram a few times out of almost a year and a half of being together. And even then, his posts are silly and not special at all.

I also think his team has something to do with this as well. He could be told when to post things and what to post. We have to remember that he's being represented by a group of agents, so they sometimes handle what he does and says.

I do agree that the attention they're getting (good or bad) is the thing that keeps the relationship going. Sometimes it's just not worth it to give it the time of day. We have to learn to distance ourselves from it and maybe it'll calm down once and for all.

Do I like that she's friends with Kacey? Absolutely not but Minx is an adult and it's up to her to make her own choices. I made a post like 2 months ago I think now telling people that they dont know me, they only know what I wish to tell them and that I like to live a private life. The reason for this post? Because I had an anon send me a ask of my exact location and birth name, I am safe dont worry but the second that happened, I felt like I needed to set some kind of boundary because that was fucking creepy especially because at that time, I was living with my friend and her two year old daughter.

In that post I said "I care about all of you guys but I dont know you and you dont know me, what I say is what I choose to tell you guys." People took that is me referring to everyone as a number, once again my words being taken out of context

➖Number 4, look I'm not a licensed therapist so stop treating me like I am one. I'm human to and need my breaks. You can message me and send me as ask if you need somewhere to vent but how about we dont get pissed off at me if I dont answer immediately or if my advice isn't good enough. I dont have all the answers, I try to help with the knowledge that I have.

I want to thank you and other blogs for creating this safe space for her. Now back to the bullying. I know about a certain Instagram page spreading false stories about Harry and Olivia. These stories are causing countless rifts between PR bloggers and shippers which then leads to one side bullying the other. I am very aware that the bullying is from the shippers side. Now please know that I do not tolerate bullying. So I was wondering (and of course if you and the anons are okay with it) if there was something I could do to help. I don't know if it will help the situation but I have an idea of exposing this certain Instagram page. So the person running this Instagram page (I'm sure you all know which page I'm talking about) believes whatever stories they get sent by "fans" right? I was thinking maybe I could send in a few fake blinds myself and every story I send, if they post it, I (and also you guys if you want) can report the posts as "misinformation". I will then come onto the blogs and let you all know which blinds have been sent by me. I know you guys may think that this is too much and could cause unecessary drama but I feel like the more we call that page out the better. At least if I admit on the blogs I sent in the fake blinds it could keep the shippers quiet. I know this may not do much to help with the bullying but at least we'll be able to prove to the bullies that the person / people running this certain account are fraudsters. If I send in multiple fake blinds but of course make it sound realistic it will prove to the bullies that the page are constantly posting made up stories.

Hi love, thank you! I'm sorry about your friend. The bullying is A LOT and for what - a stunt relationship? The people who bully and harass other over that are on an entirely different planet. I don't even have any words for them because they don't deserve them. They're vile and disgusting.

I wouldn't send in blinds though. Partially because it will cause anxiety and stir things up, but also partially because now it's been made public and we all know shippers lurk on PR blogs.

I appreciate the help though. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what else there is to do. It's not worth sending fake blinds in or getting overly involved.

Just FYI because no one seems to be calling this out lol - there's a liverpool fan on this site (maybe even multiple who tf knows) who is catfishing spurs fans. When I say they are pretending to be a Spurs fan, I don't mean on their blog (because they can post whatever they like there), I mean they have literally paid to join a PRIVATE discord group for Spurs fans so that they can go in there after a bad game and rile up the Spurs fans for fun. (1)

I didn't call it out when they first joined lol but when we played liverpool they were celebrating on their blog about liverpool beating us but then at the same time they were writing in the group about how they was to busy to watch the game and how shit we are blah blah blah. Like this is literally trolling?? They are there to troll spurs fans in the group and spread negativity. They are catfishing pretending to be spurs fans who hate spurs (2)

they also have a fake spurs twitter where they are pretending to be a spurs fan so they can rant about 'our' club. i'm asking out of a place of wanting to understand, so please don't assume i am accusing you or attacking you, but regarding a post you reblogged recently, it was an ask where templeofshame claimed that if dnp weren't together it would be kind of like "baiting" us but i really don't think that's fair? they haven't EVER said or pretended to be in a closeted relationship, only been friends that joke a bit about their occasionally romantic tendencies, i have friends who think me pt.1

this ask is long due to there being several messages, so i’m putting it under a cut. the post in question: x

me and my best friend are together when we’re really not. we’ve said so, but eventually just stopped denying the claim while occasionally joking about it. i think its unfair of us to act like they owe us something? they don’t owe us a “coming out” (i agree with op tho that coming out has issues of it own, but its the most relevant term) neither do they have to tell us if they aren’t together. 

however we perceive their relationship is our business, and as long as we aren’t toxic about it pt. 2  then really we shouldn’t care about ppl calling us “silly shippers” cause shipping them isn’t weird or rude, i, myself, truly believe they are together, but i don’t think that they owe us anything. they are real people with their own complex lives that we may not understand, heck, that THEY may not understand and they are just living their truth. for whatever reason, they may feel that they don’t want to tell people that they’re in a relationship (if they are in one) pt. 3but neither do they feel the need to (and in my opinion, shouldn’t feel the need to) explain and clarify their status to us.

 it isn’t in any way baiting or manipulation. if we decide to invest our lives and our time into writing fanfics and making art then that is our choice! they are obviously fine with it so long as it isn’t shoved in their faces, but they don’t owe us clarification, maybe i’m misunderstanding something, i just don’t think it’s fair to say that they are being manipulative pt.4simply by being themselves? 

they are their own people with their own reasons for keeping private or not telling us. they have never pretended like phan is real, have even denied it in the past, never made merch or something that has catered to shippers specifically. they have simply let us be (even if dan was quite rude about it before, but i believe he has improved a lot over the years) and made some quips about it. they choose to share parts of their lives with us and however pt5 the phandom reacts to that is our “issue”. 

in summary, i believe that it is unfair to say that if they aren’t together it means we have been baited and manipulated and “wasted our time” because i really don’t think that’s fair to the good times we have had while shipping them. they are real people that owe us nothing about their private lives and can hide or reveal as much or as little as they want. i do believe that some people DO “queerbait” irl, especially ytbrs, but dnp have never pt.6acted fake or overly romantic to seem like they’re in love, their bond, in my opinion is genuine, and whatever we read into that is valid, but it doesn’t mean that they owe us an explanation. 

i think i should end this now, but before i go, know that i do NOT intend this to be a dig at anyone, just wanted to share my perspective and ask your opinion about what i’ve just shared. i just see ppl acting like dnp could qb us and it kind of makes me think. have a nice day, take care, peace out! end

we’ve had discussions about this on IDB before and my opinion hasn’t changed since the last time i said anything on this subject.

TO BEGIN WITH:  i in no way believe they are consciously encouraging the shipping to make money. they are two people in a long term relationship that navigate a difficult world of being queer, being popular and trying to stay private.

1) “me and my friend” - while i definitely appreciate and understand that, we have to try to not compare dnp to ourselves if we want to make a proper point. i could say that me and my friend x haven’t talked in 2 years but i still consider them a friend, which doesn’t mean that it’s the norm for everyone - same goes for the “me and my friend” arguments concerning dnp. i don’t mean you necessarily, i mean things i’ve seen over the years. “me and my friend always say i love you! we live together! we spend all our time together! we’re platonic!” - that’s awesome but it doesn’t mean anything about dnp

2) i don’t think @templeofshame acted like dnp owe us anything. i took it more as like at this point, dnp admitting to having been platonic this whole time (lol i’m laughing while typing this) would have been a form of queerbaiting. templeofshame never said they owe us a “coming out” or anything like that

3) you have to remember that their audience is largely queer. to a lot of the younger fans, they are some sort of role models and maybe even eye-openers when it comes to their [fans’] own sexuality. they are most likely aware of this and definitely accept it.

4) the biggest thing i guess i should explain is why i believe that them having been platonic this whole time would have been some form of queerbaiting and… and there is no way to put it while still being nice? so forgive me, this is my opinion and i’m not trying to start drama.

they DEFINITELY benefit off phan. they have since the start (or at least dan). back in their younger days, people didn’t really ship them as much as assume they were a couple, that’s how they behaved and most people would jump to that conclusion. when shit hit the fan (vday + general life stress) and dan started lashing out, shipping got real hard. and dnp could have left it there, could have left shipping as that elephant in the room that we’re not allowed to mention, but no

slowly, gradually, they went back to accepting shipping. they haven’t denied anything in years and in many ways they encourage it. and really, no one will make me believe that they - as in the joint brand of dan and phil - would be as popular as they are without the shipping. lots of people watch them for their chemistry and hear of them through phan. they themselves no longer shy away from it - see tatinof fanfic scenes, their fanfics in tabinof, all sorts of things i’m too tired to mention - lots of recent things from this year.

so yeah, i believe they are very aware of phan and accept it, and if they accepted it while being two bros in ~other relationships~ or ~perpetually single~ then yeah, i would feel it’s wrong. not because they said something outright but because 9+ years of certain behaviors are as good as admitting to it. 

they are basically out at this point, both as not being straight and being a couple, and i’m happy they got there on their own terms.

bottomline - i firmly believe they’re together and all that is missing is an actual confirmation - which we don’t ‘need’ - but if they weren’t together, we’d be right to be upset by this point.

waterparks!! will not lie i only really started listening to them about 6 months ago having been distantly aware of their existence for several years by being a fan of bands in the same genre. listen as long as you let yourself be vaguely annoyed by awsten is prevents you from being in love with him. follow him on any social media platform for like a day and you'll be sick of him typing in nothing but all caps within hours. simply do not romanticize him and you can keep yourself from falling!! so this is coming from a slightly fake parx fan, but some of my favs by them have been peach (lobotomy), crave, numb, fuzzy, violet!, you'd be paranoid too, and lowkey as hell. that is a very songs-from-their-most-recent-album-heavy rec, but whatever. i did give the disclaimer about being a fake parx fan.

yeah hayley does have 2 solo albums now!! petals for armor and flowers for vases / descansos. pfa is the one i didn't really like upon first listen but has grown on me. i haven't even listened to the second one in its entirety oops but we won't mention it. dead horse is good but simmer (pretty sure that was the other single??) just ain't it for me. the album has some lovely songs but it's just a hit or miss album all the way through. some favs of mine on it include pure love, taken, crystal clear, watch me while i bloom, and why we ever. it's sorta a storyline album about healing if that adds anything to it?? but anyways. i started listening to paramore around the time after laughter dropped and it grew to be one of my fav albums in existence. idle worship is probably one of my fav songs like ever. i def understand being slightly put off by bands with songs that make religious references (me with twenty one pilots' earlier music that makes a lot more religious references considering i'm not religious whatsoever) but i think i am blinded by being in love with hayley williams and just ignore it. idk that she's like super religious?? she's addressed believing in god and stuff a few times but she's def not the "rub it in your face" type and if she's making refs in music more recently then they're subtle enough i'm not noticing them. ik albums like brand new eyes had a lot more because it was shortly after that the band split and the songwriting process was essentially her and ex-bandmate co-songwriter arguing about their religious beliefs (turns out he ended up being super homophobic and transphobic all based on his religion so do with that what u will and thank the clown for leaving). i feel u on the "i meant to start listening to them" because that's essentially how i started listening to them. i told myself i was going to and then finally forced myself to do it. fuck falling for awsten knight what's more risky is falling in love with hayley </3
