Another Official Pokemon Masters EX has been sent out, so now's your chance to tell them to add trainers from Pokémon Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness!

But unlike the last few times, I won't be sharing a link to any survey. As I've learned, people using a link someone got in their news in-game to the survey is essentially retaking that same survey for said person. In essence, basically everyone was having me retake the same survey over and over again. Ignoring the technical failure of my prior survey blitzes and the illusion of progress, I'll give you a tutorial on how to take the survey yourself and help fix this mistake. 1. Install Pokemon Masters EX to your mobile device 2. Play far enough through the intro to gain the News feature. (Maybe 15 minutes) 3. Check your News for "Pokemon Masters EX Survey" 4. Tap it, tap the link inside to get to the survey. 5. Fill in all of the survey's text prompts with the notion of putting Sync Pairs from the Orre Region in Pasio. In particular, there will be a list of prompts for your favorite Trainer that doesn't have to be in the game yet, fill those with your favorite Pokemon Colosseum and XD: GoD Trainers. (Mine was Michael, Wes, Miror B, Lovrina, Ein, and Nascour).

After you've done what's above, you're free to uninstall the game if you want, at least until the next time they put out a survey which would likely be early next year. What's important is that you now have the means to contribute towards the effort of putting Orre Sync Pairs in the game by continuously bringing it up to the devs. It may not happen over night or even in the span of a year, but this is what you are fighting for by doing this.

Because some things, are just worth fighting for 🫠

Calling all Submas fans!

Do you want Ingo and Emmet to reunite in Pokemon Masters?

The game developers have released a player feedback survey, which, among other things, asks what stories and trainers we'd like to see in Masters in the future. Notably, one suggested option is whether we would like "stories that continue the ones in the main Pokémon games". Another asks "what combination of trainers you would most like to see interact in Masters?"

It would be great for all Submas fans to fill it out and suggest that they give closure to Ingo and Emmet's story! There's precedent for such a thing - the long awaited reunion between N and the BW protagonist (Hilbert in Masters) happened in the Story Event "The Ideal Formula" (a YouTube recording of the story can be seen here https://youtu.be/zWyiuVVigMo?si=8UHz6xbcVvgI4URN).

Some reasons you could use to justify why they should let Ingo and Emmet reunite in Masters:

The arrival of Hisuian sync pairs such as Irida, Adaman, Akari and Rei make this interaction plausible and highly anticipated.

Ingo and Emmet are two of the most popular trainers from BW/B2W2, and only got more popular after PLA. They have a massive fanbase, both in Japan and internationally, that would be attracted to the game (and incentivised to pull) if such an event occurred.

Although another version of Ingo already exists on Pasio, similar things have happened before with alts such as Classic Elesa, Champion Iris and Kimono Grimsley (from his appearance in Alola).

One of Masters' greatest strengths is that it is uniquely positioned to deliver character writing and interactions that the main games were not able to address. Such as the aforementioned reunion between the BW protagonist and N. This would utilise that unique space to finally give closure on Ingo and Emmet's unexplained and heartwrenching separation.

But don't feel the need to use my words - use your own! Unique responses are great and also increase the chances that we'll be taken seriously.

So where's the survey link? Well, I would link it, but every user account in Pokémon Masters (when set to English - you can change this in the settings!) has its own unique link with an id generated on the end. The survey technically still works without it but I'd prefer to be on the safe side to make sure our answers count! The survey can be found in your message box (after setting your game language to English as necessary.)

The survey runs from 10/29/2023 11:00 p.m. PT – 11/12/2023 9:59 p.m. PT. So we've got until November 12 to spread the word!

Note that every person can only fill the survey out once.

We nearly got Ingo to be the #1 Tumblr Sexyman. We can do this!

You were part of the Galactic Survey Corp, sent out to search for your partner Akari after she went out the day before to do some research. You finally found her doing what she normally did. Only it seemed she had a run-in with a psychic type. She was hypnotized, her eyes swirling a bit but she seemed pretty much normal. Other than the fact that she thought she was dressed when she was naked. It seemed to be a common occurrence, the same thing happening to a lot of unlucky trainers who ran into the Pokemon. It was best not to break the illusion, since doing so usually meant a lot of embarrassment and anger. She looked towards you as she rubbed the back of her head.

"Whatever, I got some pretty good research done, I'm almost done mastering this area, maybe tomorrow I'll head towards the Cobalt Coast and gather some data on ghost types... seriously what's up, you keep staring at me like I have three heads."

He stole our Oran berries and kept trying to trap us when Shinx and I purchased him. A real prankster ! After some times, we hid behind a rock, waiting silently for the right moment to throw the Pokeball. The upside in this is that he was too distracted with his food to notice that he turned his back on us, making it easy to strike on the back. I decided to keep him after that because he was more mischievous than dangerous.”

Marc explained to a little girl how he captured the famous prankster Eevee that kept annoying villagers and guards. The next day, he saw a drawing pinned at the door. It showed Marc and Shinx behind a rock and an Eevee eating... blue peebles ?

No, Oran berries. These are Oran berries.

It is not a master piece, but the amnesiac could feel the emotions poured in this drawing. And that in itself was enough for Marc to stick it next to the small trinkets he keeps next to the window.

He never told her how the three had to run from the angry Alpha Rapidash because that stupid Eevee thought that its territory was a good place to snack.

He never told her how scary and familiar it was when he landed on the feral Pokemon's back and rode all the way through until he was thrown off and almost landed on the rock.

And he never told her how Eevee's carefree smile and mischievousness was painfully familiar.

I booted up Pokemon Masters the other day and was greeted by Ingo and his "I wish I had your energy this early in the morning." dialogue and right next to him was Dawn complaining about mornings being a hassle... I smiled at that. both of these dorks are pretty similar.

I also like to think that one of Dawn's evening quotes, the one where she talks about walks in the moonlight, implies that she isn't too fond of the dark. she says it's less scary with a Pokemon around.

It would be cool if Akari has similar feelings about the dark and having Ingo and/or her Pokemon around (especially Ember) makes night surveys/travels much easier for her.

I love that pokemas implies Emmet is a morning person while Ingo is not. And haha I’ve never gotten that morning dialogue with Dawn before, but I have gotten the night walks dialogue!

I think that dialogue implying she’s scared of the dark is really funny, because in another line she will also explicitly say it’s exciting to have adventures in the dark. Like it scares her but she also thinks it’s fun haha.

If Dawn is scared of the dark, it would be very hard I think to adjust from living in well-lit and generally-populated areas after dark, going to Hisui where it is pitch black outside the settlements once the sun goes down. I have gone camping at the beach and in the mountains many times in my life, and the wilderness gets DARK once the sun goes down, and all you have is your tent.

Perhaps it’s good my Dawn/Akari picked Ember as her starter, and often hangs around Ingo haha. I can’t imagine night surveys would be easy if she deals with worries like that. Especially since she can’t really swim. She cannot afford to fall into a river just because she can’t see it!
