He's shy so yeah, it's gonna take a bit, but once y'all get there, he is all over you

He'll never show any affection in public, but he will almost always be near you in some way or another

In private though, he is a huge cuddlebug

It's not uncommon for him to hug you from behind and bury his blushing face in your neck

On that note, he will always be red when showing affection, no matter how long you two have been together

Nonetheless, he just craves your affection

He's the most affectionate when he's feeling clingy. He's still a bit shy about it, but he will initiate affection a lot more.

He loves loves loves hugs, they make him feel so secure and warm, so he will be hugging you often when he's feeling affectionate

He LOVES when you play with his hair. It is so relaxing to him, so please, run your fingers through his hair.

He'll sigh and lean into your touch like a cat

Listen to me. If you want to get him super duper embarrassed and flustered, pull him into your lap as he's passing by. He will get SO stuttery and blushy.

When he's clingy, he has a 90% chance to initiate kisses, which almost never happens outside of this

It's never anything too special, but he'll give you some quick smooches when he's feeling affectionate

If he's sleepy clingy, he'll come up to you and hug you gently, murmuring something about wanting to nap as he buries his face in the crook of your neck

Oh, did I mention? The clinginess factor ramps up to 10 when he's sleepy

He's just too tired to care about being embarrassed, so he'll become super lovey dovey with you

And when y'all settle down for a nap, he clings to you like a magnet

He's def the little spoon, he just really likes to be held by you

It makes him feel very safe surrounded by your warmth

A/N: ik i didnt post anything all summer but hiiii :D school's back in now, but my schedule is better than before and i have less hw! I wrote these in like 20 minutes during my lunch break >B) also i didnt know what letters you wanted, so i just went with ABC!

Affection (How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?): Literally every way imaginable, but especially through physical touch and gift-giving! It’s kinda,,,okay, it’s really smothering, but you can’t just say that to him! He’s just being a nice bf, after all!

Blood (How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?): Ranmaru will stop at nothing to get you and keep you to himself. When I say he isn’t above anything, I mean it. He’ll hurt your friends, your family, hell maybe even any pets you have if he needs to. A majority of the time, the very first thing he’ll go for is murder. If for some reason, he decides against it, the next stop is usually various forms of blackmail and threats. He’s willing to do anything for the sake of you and your love. Cruelty (How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?): He would actually be one of the nicest yanderes after kidnapping you, surprisingly! He’d just act as though everything was fine, and the two of you were living as a happy, domestic couple. As long as you stay complacent, he won’t do anything drastic! “I’ll hold him back, just go! Reko...she....she’s-” 

Watching with the others in the classroom as Kurumada held Ranmaru to the ground by his head, you looked down at Ranmaru’s pleading expression. 

Before you could reach for him though, you were quickly ushered out by your panicked friends and allies.

Ranmaru....what did you...

◤...three hours prior to this...◢

“Keiji! I’m here! Please come out, everyone is so worried!”

“y/n....”

“Are you...there Keiji?”

A hand that clamped around your shoulder sent you into shock as you sprawled forward to the ground. “Waugh!!! Wh-who!?!?” You whipped yourself around to face a concerned looking Ranmaru.

“Heya y/n.” He said with a smirk and a wave. “Gah! Ranmaru, you scared me...!”

“Clearly.” He smiled as he offered a hand out to you. You gave him a pleased smile as you took his hand. “So....Keiji was a no-show, huh?” 

“I mean, Sara was too worried to go alone so I offered to go in her place...but it looks like we should have followed Keiji’s instructions, huh?” You laughed dejectedly, as the missing friendly policeman’s absence was beginning to create a deep worry in the back of your mind. 

The expression on your face seemed to clearly resemble your disappointment of not finding him, as a pair of fingers snapped out in front of you. 

“Heeey? Earth to y/n, I asked you a question. You alright?” 

You gave a curt, polite nod. “Sorry, yeah, what did you say again?”

Ranmaru sighed as he patted your back, “Man, you’re a mess today, eh? I asked....ᶦᶠ ʸᵒᵘ ᵍᵃᵛᵉ ᵃⁿʸ ᵗʰᵒᵘᵍʰᵗ ᵗᵒ ʷʰᵃᵗ ᴹᵃᵖˡᵉ ˢᵃᶦᵈ....” The last part was quietly spoken, but you heard what he said, and you knew what he meant.

“What!? You mean about what she about....winning?” Ranmaru’s uneasy expression meant that was exactly what he was talking about. 

“We can’t! E-everyone has been...working so hard together, and with you all as our new allies-” “They’re not all your allies. We were made to get rid of you humans, but Maple told me something the rest of them don’t know. Why won’t you let me act on it?! I can save us, save you!”

“That’s enough! I can’t...hear you say that. Not you, Ranmaru, please.” 

“You wouldn’t have to do anything, y/n, I swore I’d protect you. Reko, Sara, Keiji, everyone! I’ll kill them, and I’ll get you out of this horrible game!”

As if the idea of winning crossing Ranmaru’s mind at all hadn’t hurt enough to hear about, here was your partner for this entire floor’s length of horrors telling you he’d kill all your allies to save the both of you.

Ranmaru wasn’t wrong. You were tired. You wanted to go home. You missed your friends, and your regular old life. You adored Ranmaru, and even without knowing what to do after this could end, you wanted to have him by your side.

What am I thinking?!

“Ranmaru! I don’t want you to protect me. I want us to all escape together, and I could never ask you to betray our allies!”

Something about the way you delivered that line stuck with Ranmaru though. You couldn’t ask him? Then you didn’t have to. He’d help you, and he’d take all the responsibility too. All the guilt, the hardships, the terror? He could handle it...if it was for you. You and him were going to win, and you were going to live. And after all his efforts, maybe, just maybe, you could be his.

And with the seeds sown, Ranmaru’s mind began racing with ways to get every single human and doll eliminated before they could realize what was going on. 

And that would begin with the lovely, unknowing Ms. Reko.

◤...present time...◢

“Oh...no....” Sara uttered, her breath entirely taken away from the sight before us.

The magnetic trap mechanism in the locker room had been activated while Reko was in it. “Reko, please, no...holy shit...” Q-taro mourned. Her grotesquely snapped neck was just barely holding her entirely hanging body to the ceiling by her collar.

Everyone was whispering their words of loss and grief. You couldn’t speak though. You instantly made the connection between Kuramada tackling Ranmaru and what he had said about getting here quickly. This was preventable. And actually....

This was your fault.

Ranmaru wanted you to win, and he wanted you to take him with you. You didn’t chastise him enough to stop this, and now Reko’s blood and tears were on your hands. 

The quiet stip-step of shoes tapping on the concrete floor sprung you from your remorseful daze. “y-y/n...I swear...I didn’t-” 

A louder, heavier pair of feet could be heard hitting the solid ground harshly. 

“Bastard! You’ll pay for what you’ve done!! My trust, their trust, you’ve ruined everything!” Kurumada went in for a swing as Ranmaru barely dodged him, bumping his backside into your front.

“NO! It wasn’t me! I wasn’t even anywhere near this room, I was with y/n!” 

“That was a whole goddamn hour ago, you lying piece a’ shit! You woulda been in the control room well after that!”

“Why would I kill Reko?! I had no motive to kill the humans, our tasks were erased and our connections were cut! I would never-”

“Bullshit. No motive? What was all that crap about winning for, then?”

Ranmaru fell silent.

“You...you thought I was dead. And you thought you could leave the transceiver on and cheer yourself on for winning the game, huh?!”

Ranmaru’s silence persisted, your stomach dropping further than you thought possible. 

He took a slow inhale...

“Yeah. I did think you were dead, but now I see you’re just as big of an obstacle as ever. All you damn dolls. I’ll get rid of you all, and y/n and I are gonna win.”

“Ranmaru...”

“I didn’t think I’d get caught on the first try, I mean geez! I really hoped it’d be easier than this, that I could be stealthy, but apparently not...” 

It was like his entire demeanor changed. His usual hesitance to speak, his more crouched and small frame, and his kind meekness were all completely stripped away, replaced by this malicious, devious darkness that seemed to emanate off his body.

“Well, well! Somethin’ fun’s happening in here, amirite?!”

“M-Midori!?” You cried out as his arm creepily slung around your shoulder. You backed away as Ranmaru stayed staring him down. “Ohh, what perfect timing. Midori...I have a deal for you, something to keep this game interesting.” Ranmaru sounded like a perfect copy of Midori, it was beginning to frighten you. Reko’s body still left all the survivors in shock, no one but the three dolls who were as lively as ever being able to speak.

“ ᴿᵃⁿᵐᵃʳᵘ...ᵖˡᵉᵃˢᵉ, ᵈᵒⁿ'ᵗ...“ You finally uttered. 

“What might this deal be, my pathetic doll?” Scoffing at his comment, Ranmaru pleads with him, “If you could just please...kill the dolls. Leave me as the sole doll and I swear I’ll give you a show you’ll never forget.” You weren’t sure what made you sicker, the grin that was spread across both Ranmaru’s and Midori’s faces, or the dark tone Ranmaru suddenly took, his genuineness shining through. He would kill every survivor. You might really win, and you still didn’t know what to think about it. 

The tension in the room was so thick you could slice through it with a knife. Everyone's eyes were trained on you, Ranmaru, and Midori. You felt sick, the energy of the room suffocating you slowly.

"I think I could do something like that."

As if it couldn't drop any lower, your organs practically just disappeared from inside you. "H-hey, you're not...serious, are ya?" Q-taro finally spoke up, the first of the survivors to actually something.

"Why wouldn't I be? This deal is of great benefit to me....and y/n it seems." Midori's tucked in smile sent shivers down your spine as he stared at you with his widened eyes.

"First though...the banquet has to happen."

The reminder brought the most sincere relief you'd ever felt in your life. You still had time to convince Ranmaru not to go through with his ridiculous sabotage plan.

The room calmed as everyone slowly and hesitantly made their way back to the graveyard. How was anyone supposed to work together after something like that...?

Hello! Is it okay if you can do YTTD Sara, Joe, Ranmaru and Anzu (Separate) that their crush kiss the corner of the lips and said that if they passed their quiz, they will kiss them properly? Basically the killing game didn't exist and they are living their normal lives in highschool.

In which the YTTD cast deal with a teasing s/o who kisses them on the corners of their lips, saying if they passed their quiz, a proper kiss is to be held. Their reactions and feelings to this statement and action.

#Joe Tazuna (Determined Type, PASSES?? (barely))

For Joe, it was a normal day. It was all completely normal. He begged Sara for her homework during class, He gushed over you with Ryoko, and he went to his normal Kebab place.

Until it wasn't, because Holy Hell he dropped his mouth (and possibly his kebab?) when he saw you enter the restaurant.

It was as if he was running miles for hours, as his heart couldn't stop thumping and beating. (Sir, You sat down in this restaurant for around thirty minutes.)

Despite the cold and refreshing air in the diner, he could feel his palms sweating when you enter.

And to make matters worse, you sat on the table he was sitting at. Should he say something? What should he say? What should he say?

Head empty. He can't think of anything. Thankfully, You said something for him - "Tazuna, I was wondering something.."

He gaped his mouth, feeling his usual vibrant grin come up on his face. "Yo, (Name), what is it?" He asked.

"Do you like me?"

Silence was between the two. It was noisy in the diner, of course, but it felt time stop. His heart dropped. "...Heh. What made it so obvious?"

"To be completely honest with you, I din't even notice it until Ryoko told me." They admitted. Ryoko THAT SNITCH HOW DARE YOU

He could feel Ryoko snickering from her house. "Soooo...what are you gonna do about it? I just kinda un-directly confessed to ya, you know."

And you responded to his question, with a kiss on the corners of his lips. He felt like practically exploding.

"Ah- Wah..?! Ja- WHAT!?"

You grin at his flustered reaction. It really was how Sara described him. Despite him being so gaudy, he was awfully shy.

You pat him on the head. "I'll let you kiss me properly if you get a perfect score on your next quiz."

And after a few days, he did just that. He was extremely excited to tell you. So after you nodded to him that he could do it, he practically jumped on you like a puppy, ready to pamper you with kisses and smooches.

Sara Chidouin, a name everyone knew in Sonobeno High-School. You knew her, of course. She was practically popular every grade level and campus.

Of course, both of you are acquaintances and were on good terms.

And to say you where shocked when she confessed to you was an understatement. You were practically bewildered, bedazzled, confused and brimming with joy.

Wow..... How should you respond? Like... a lengthy response which means "yes date me your hot lets kiss"

But then again, you want to surprise her. Bewilder her, like what she did to you so much times. The ones that made you happy, and indeed fall in love with her.

Despite her being so surprising, she was also very easy to read. And she's awfully -- quiet. She seems to be awaiting for your response.

So what to do you do?

Something that she likes doing, but something she sucks at doing. Like, the only thing she sucks at doing (asides from swimming.)

Her only weakness, physical affection.

Coming closer to her, you leave a peck on the corner of her honey dew lips. Taking a step back, Sara holds her cheek fondly.

She was red, extremely. A mischevious grin came up on your face, as you spoke the next words out of your mouth. "I'll let you kiss me properly if you get a perfect score on your next quiz."

...And she exactly did that with somehow 10 more extra points. I beg your pardon she got 100.10/100 and you are absolutely bewildered.

The next thing you know you were kissing her on your couch.

I'm sorry to say this man had no balls to confess to you. So you did that yourself (lmao) and you got tired of waiting.

So when you confessed to him, he froze for a second. "..Huh? C..Could you repeat it again?" He asked, not believing it in the slightest.

"Heh. I like you, Ranmaru Kageyama. You're the reason I can't sleep at night without my heart beating thinking of you. You're the reason why I smile every time you're here."

No God Damn why is this happening. Is this real? Is this a dream? Ranmaru himself doesn't know. But please, don't wake him up.

"Hello?? Ranmaru??"

Oh god this wasn't a dream.

He averted his eyes somewhere else, the chalkboard -- The teacher's desk, the window..! Anywhere else except your eyes.

"I..I like you too." He shyly confessed, eyes boring into a window nearby. You sighed out of relief. "I'm so glad!"

Ranmaru closed his eyes, trying to make sense of what was happening right now. Well, he was, until he felt a peck on the corner of his lips.

He opened his eyes, seeing you right in front of his face. "I'll let you kiss me properly if you get a perfect score on your next quiz." You playfully teased, winking.

And GOD he will get a perfect score on his next quiz. He studied HARD, stayed up LATE and even asked Sara for handouts.

He now got his sweet payment, as he indeed got a perfect score on the test (Thank God he got the additional two points.) So he was fully excited to pecker you with kisses.

#Anzu Kinashi (Begged you to kiss her even after she failed the quiz.)

"Wahhh! Guess what, guess what! The teacher was so mean today! All I did was answer 10 questions wrong in that quiz!"

"..Anzu that quiz was out of 10."

"Ohh yeah! True! Anyways, did he have to be so mean!?"

You giggle, resulting in Anzu to stop waving her hands aggressively....Ah..She din't tell you yet. She knows everyone likes you (I mean who wouldn't), and she doubt she would even get with a person like you.

"(Name)-(Name)....I got something to say!" She announced, making you jolt a bit. You raise an eyebrow. "What is it, Anzu?"

"I likeee youuuuu! Date me, pleasee!" She babbled, blushing immediately after she said that. You shrug. "Sure, why not? I like you too, after all."

sara is generally pretty reserved, so at first she'll be a bit stiff, and might not respond well to your love. not in a lashing-out way, but she sorta just stands there all stiff and uptight while you smother her in physical love.

overtime,, however,, she starts to get used to the love and affection and is sort of willing to give it back, although she doesn't know quite how lol

she tries though, and that's all that matters.

but sara absolutely adores the affection you give her. like i said, she'll stand stiff for a while, but on the inside she's squealing and relishing in every touch you graciously give her.

she especially loves reassuring handholds. she loves them whenever, but they work best after the main games. when her hallucinations creep up on her, you always seem to swoop down from the heavens and rub her hand,, reassuring her that you're there and unharmed.

And when he finds out he goes red and stutters out thank you. After he runs off you can pretty much hear Midori planning to use that against you.

Honestly, I don't think it's *that* easy for him to fall in love.

It takes a particularly special person to get him to fall, but once he comes across them, it's game over.

And you just so happen to be that special person.

So yeah, needless to say, he's obsessed with you.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, he is incredibly shy when it comes to romantic relationships.

Even just your hands accidentally brushing makes him nervous.

Teasing him is so. Much. Fun. I promise you this.

He pretends he hates it, but he gets so flustered when you call him your lil puffball.

I have also said this before, but it's important to say that when he gets flustered, his voice cracks. It is so. Damn. Cute.

Honestly, he can't even pretend to hate it when you call him pretty boy. He just instantly goes red and shuts up, looking away to hide his face from you.

Honestly, you are one of the biggest lights in his life.

Ranmaru Kageyama x reader 🌺

You have advanced to the 4th floor, where there were a lot of coffins. In the coffins were participants who died before you got to meet them.

The real Sou Hiyori gave you an explanation. Apparently, you will proceed with the game in pairs.

"Red threads of fate activate!" Midori said.

Suddenly your collars started beeping and there were lines connecting you to one of the dummies. You were connected to the white haired boy.

"The people connected by red threads of fate are pairs for this game." Real Sou said.

The dummies introduced themselves to you.

"...Uhh, Y/n, was it? I'm Ranmaru, I'm in highschool like you." Ranmaru introduced himself to you.

You observed him a little but stayed silent. "S-Say something... This is awkward..." He said.

"How nice! Everyone looks like they'll get along!" Real Sou said.

Real Sou, or Midori, as Sara decided to call him, gave you an explanation. You need to kill him to win the game, and we can use any method.

After he left, one of the obstructors on this floor attacked you. We managed to beat in and proceed with the floor.

There was a room that peaked your interest. The one that looked like a bathroom from the outside. There was a picture of two people who seem to be holding hands.

The picture gave you an idea of how to open this door. You took Ranmaru's hand in yours. Poor boy was shocked. The door open.

"Whoa! What?! Why?!" Ranmaru asked confused.

"Well... There is a symbol of people holding hands and I thought maybe...!" You said, a little bit hesitant "I'm sorry..."

"You don't have to apologize. It open the door, didn't it? I would just appreciate it if you warned me. You're really sharp, noticing a detail like that." He said, you swore you could see him blush a little.

You observed him a little and touched his shoulder "You're too tense. If you keep trembling like that, you might waste your battery."

"A-And who's fault is that!?" He's blush became even more visible.

"I said I was sorry." You sad making a sad face.

You entered an awfully fluffy room. And saw a woman there who offered you tea. You decided to search the room before she gets back and found some paint and brushes.

"If you want It you can have it." The woman said to me. 'I believe I know where to use these.' you thought.

"Anyway, here's your tea." She said.

"Thank you" you replayed quietly.

The woman told you she was an obstructor but didn't like to fight. She also told you that this was a discussion room.

"Y/n, you've always been with your allies and are used to people hanging out with you because of your intelligence, but did you have the time to think about what you want?" She asked you.

"How would you know that?" What a stupid question! Of course you knew how she knew that!

"You already know, so I don't see the need to answer that." She said.

"This tea is good. Doesn't seem poisoned." Ranmaru said.

If he's drinking it, it should be safe. You also doubted that the woman will let you go if you don't drink it.

"What I really want...? I guess..." You hesitated "I don't want to die..."

"Victory is on the line, right? Only one person can survive. Such a scary thing." The woman said.

"So... Only one person can survive after all..." You said. You speculated that for a while now. She just confirmed your suspicion.

"Six people left... The decision is near. It might even be within the day." She smiled.

"I doubt it. You probably shouldn't go around underestimateing us." You told her.

"But you know... Can you kill Midori?" Ranmaru asked.

"I can't sympathize with a lowlife like that, but... When I someone moving around like that... I can't help but see them as human." He said.

"I don't know... Guess we'll have to wait and see..." You replied. "Thank you for the tea Miss..."

"Call me Maple!" She replied.

You looked at her "Miss Maple. It really suits you." You told her.

"Yeah, It's a nice name." Ranmaru added.

"You both are so nice. No wonder Hiyori though you'll be a perfect mach. I'm glad you're a pair. You're so cute together." She said with a wide smile.

"Ok, we'll be leaving now" You said, feeling the heat rise to your face at her statement.

"Y-Yeah..." Ranmaru was flustered as well.

*Slight time skip*

Everything has gone wrong. Keiji get trapped in the rebel room. Mai and Q-taro are trapped on the 4th floor with probably hacked Maple. The elevator is not working. And now you don't know what to do!

You were sitting in a room that resembled a classroom alone since you let the dummies roam free. There was this paper in the classroom. The one Midori wanted Sara to sign. The one you felt like you have seen before.

Sara came in the classroom. She said she wanted to talk.

"I'm trying to figure out how does this peace of paper relate to our memories. I can't seem to figure it out. What is wrong with me?" You said, mumbling the last part.

"I may be able to help you. Will you take a look at this lantern for me." She told you.

"I do not see how that'll be of any help but I trust you." You did as she said.

You remembered something, a scene of you coming home from school with someone, but it was really hazy until Sara helped you remember.

"I remember it now!" You said loudly.

"That's great! Please tell me!" She said.

*Flash back*

You were walking home from school with your only friend at that time. The one you trusted. Sou Hiyori, or rather, Midori.

He was telling you about some paper that can grant you a wish.

"Come on Hiyori... You know I don't believe in that stuff." You said to him.

"Well, it wouldn't hurt trying, would it?" He told you "Tell me. What is your wish?"

You sigh "You're serious about this, aren't you?"

He nodded.

"Very well then... I guess... My wish is to find someone that'll truly like me... Nothing like love at first sight or anything, you know I don't believe in that ether." You confessed.

"I'm not sure how to describe it. Maybe someone who will find my intelligence and academic skills attractive, and not try to use me because of it. If that makes sense? Maybe someone who is willing to anything for me... Now I'm asking for too much, aren't I?" You tried to explain to the best of your ability.

"I see... I get what you're trying to say... Who I want to be today "asu naro"- tomorrow I will be. We call it the ASU-NARO vow." Hiyori said. "Sign the peace of paper and your wish may just come true."

"If you insist." You were a little bit hesitant to sign your name on the paper but you did it anyway.

"I promise you I will grant your wish. I already have a perfect candidate in mind. You'll be a perfect mach." He had that mischievous grin on his face.

You looked at him "So, you were going to grant my wish after all... Seems I was right. What was the point of me signing the paper then?"

"You'll see soon enough." He just left you after that.

*End of flash back*

"That's all I remember. I can't believe I was so naive! I should've noticed it sooner!" You told Sara.

"Don't beat yourself up for it. There was no way of you to know." Sara tried comforting you.

"I found this searching this room." She handed you a hand.

"I'm guessing, you want me to install it as an upgrade on one of the dummies." You told her.

"Yes... If it's not a problem of course..." She said in a comforting tone.

You went to the computer room and found Ranmaru there.

You started to panic a little internally. Maple said that Midori said that you and him are a perfect mach. When he was talking about a perfect candidate... Was he thinking of Ranmaru?

"H-hey... Would you mind?" you said.

"Oh... Please go ahead." He let you get to the monitor.

"I'm going to install some upgrades that Sara found into you. Obliviously only If I have your approval." You said to him.

"Oh, of course." He said.

You were quick at work and managed to install the upgrade into him with little to no problem.

"That is really impressive. I'm sure glad we're partners." He told you with a slight blush on his cheeks.

"Aha....Ahaha..!" You laughed, while your eyes were tearing as you watched Mishima's burnt neck fell down unto the floor.

His warm smile that was always on, even when answering questions despite being busy all the time, was no longer on his face. Instead of his usual grin- it was replaced with a look that could only be described with fear.

"Ahaha..!! Hehe..Ahahha..!!"

Joe watched as you continued giggling as your eyes just stared at the head. He din't know what to say. "...(Name).." He called out.

Why were you laughing? He knew you treasured Professor Mishima from the bottom of your heart.

Truth be told, he was worried for you. This was unlike you. Your laughs kept on getting louder, soon turning into softer and quieter sniffles.

"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry Professor.." He knew about your condition, and tried to help you with therapy sessions, and gave you Antidepressants to lessen it.

It certainly helped reduce it, but now...

It felt as if it would do nothing. You felt an arm on your shoulder, It was the brunette. "...Joe." You acknowledged him.

"Hey (Name).. Are you alright?" He asked, and you were so glad he din't just bash at you while you were mourning.

"..I'm alright."

"Yeah, you look just peachy to me right now."

"Really, I'm fine." You re-assured.

He din't seem to buy that, swiftly holding your hand, he brings you to the bar where he lets you tell your sorrows away. Making dumb (but not offensive) comments about it, makes you chuckle genuinely.

"Ahahha...! Hahha....Ahahhaa...!"

His mouth was gaped open, as you were giggling madly at the sight of Anzu's body crushed in the grave.

He was disturbed. Disturbed as hell. He felt like puking up. No 16 year old should see this scene, where a young high-schooler was laughing at their friend's body.

He covered his mouth with his bandaged hands, the only words he can form from his mouth are whimpers of disguist.

"Urgh....urk...What the hell..?" He murmured, face starting to turn green. He saw you slowly go closer to the grave, and you attempting to open it.

You tried. You tried so hard to open it. But your burnt hands from the fire from a while ago wasn't making it better.

It stings, he knows. He knows your pain. He wants to help. But he's frozen in place, and can only watch your giggles turn to loud sniffles.

You could hardly breathe. "Sniff.....A-Anzu...why are...please come out.." You begged her to come out.

But you know. You know she won't come out. And he knows that you know, but you won't believe.

And it will always disturb him on how stubborn you are, even if the answer was obvious and right in front of your face.

#Sara Chidouin (Speechless Type)

Miss Sara Chidouin, the type to always have something ready to say, was speechless this time.

Shocked.

Despairing.

Utterly terrified.

Was all she could form in her mind. The way she scrunched her eyebrows, and bit back her lip was all you need to know on how she was lost for words.

She wanted to comfort you, she really did. But she couldn't just find the right terms and words. But she was scared. She looked down on her palms, and it was shaking.

Despite it being just a doll, you always pushed forward arguing she still was herself. But she wasn't.

The way you laughed and giggled as if you din't just see you friend fall into the spikes as you pushed her.

And it was all because you din't want her to carry any burdens, and for that she feels like she's guilty.

It's my fault, She repeated in her mind. "Ahahaha....Reko...can you hear me?" You called out to her.

"Reko ..?"

"..! Reko..?!"

She realized it was as of now that you fully processed that she died. And for that, she was truly apologetic for. "....I'm sorry." Was the only thing she can form out of her mouth.

#Keiji Shinogi (Understanding Type)

He watches you grip the computer's sides tightly, as you watch the brunette with glasses's neck was cut open by an ax.

He really wasn't affected by the video, albit only a bit taken back. Averting his eyes towards you, as he shouts the name of Sara Chidouin.

"SARA CHIDOUIN....I'LL CURSE YOUR NAME FROM HELLLLL!!"

Is what he shouted. Judging by the man's uniform, he can tell you were co-workers with him.

"Au..Aum..!" Sara stuttered out, and your head immediately snapped towards her. Grabbing her shoulders, you started giggling. He could see the pain in your eyes. He knows exactly that feeling.

"H..Hehe...Sara....What did you do to Hayasaka..?! Hahha...Ahaha..!!"

Hayasaka? so that's his name. He could see Sara's shocked and confused face as you kept on demanding questions on where he was while you were laughing.

He then put a hand on your shoulder. "Hey (Name), Mr. Policeman thinks it's best for you to take a break. Feeling too emotional can-"

He stops, taking a note at your eyebags. You raised an eyebrow, "Rest? Why right now..? Hahha...we.."

Oh. You were already tired. You fell asleep right in his arms. Swiftly carrying you up, he then turns to Sara. "Sara, let's go."

He hopes that nap of yours can help you forget about, whoever this "Hayasaka" is, even just for a little while.

To say Reko was angry at you was an understatement, she was hella pissed off.

"What the hell..!? Why are you laughing right now?!" She shouted, bewildered on why you would be giggling at the sight of Kanna's blood drained by the flowers.

She knew you liked Kanna. She knew you din't hate her. She knew that you treasured her as a little sister.

God damn it, she can't put a finger on it! Why the hell were you laughing..?!

Your laughing din't cease. "Ahaha...Hehe....Haha....Hahaha!!" It only got louder. Your heart-beat increased as well, it felt... lost.

Or broken, as if someone was pounding it with a hammer. Each hit, was with each click. You weren't even pressing it for God's sake!

"Kanna has expired."

Was all that rang in your mind. After the main events, all of you stood there, mourning.

Reko immediately went and slapped you. "(Name), why the hell were you laughing? .. That's so God Damn sick..!"

Hinako

You two are very close but act like you want to kill each other. Hinako likes to sleep a lot so she might use your lap as a pillow. The two of you go to Starbucks a lot. You take her to shop at hot topic.

Kanna

You have two other siblings. Shin and Kugie are extremely close to you. She plants all different kinds of flowers! She cooked for the vegetables she grew once and they were great! The four of you get ice cream together. Kanna offered to pay for Shin's ice cream once. You Kugie and Kanna walk home together every day!

Nao

You are really close. No matter what she's there for you. You paint together all the time and you go shopping a lot. You both got into the same college and you study art together. She is great at comforting you.

Mai

She is super sweet to you! You work in the bakery with her. Customers tend to like your cakes more. You typically bake the cakes and Mai decorates them. You spend lots of time together. She hugs you every single day.

Reko

You two fight similarly to Hinako. It's over petty things but you two would die for each other without hesitation. You have to pull Alice and Reko apart a lot. When you were kids you wanted to start a band together. Reko always says something to you after every show. After she's done sing she thanks you for watching. "Thank you Lil sis/bro for coming!"

Sara

You walk home with Sara every day after class. You have to make her food when Kai's busy because she forgets to make her own. We spent lunchtime together. She got you into kendo and threw you on accident. You hang around with Joe and Ryoko.

Anzu

You play jokes on each other all the time! You work as a clown as well. You and Anzu have fun all the time. After school, you walk to your part-time job. The two of you are always happy to be with each other.

Boys

Kai

Protective as hell. He once gave you a knife to carry around in case you got attacked. You have to tell your friends no he is not a stalker he is your brother. You have cooking competitions. You don't really joke around Kai much because he will take it seriously. The two of you have to stop Rio from committing felonies every day. He loves to cook for you! Kai knows pretty much everything and about you and you know everything about him.

Joe

Dumbasses stick together. You run home together after classes. You slow down due to Sara snatching Joe by the tie. You eat out together a lot! You are very close with Sara and Ryoko. If you have a crush Joe will literally bolt over to that person and ask them out for you. He always buys a double of all his outfits for you.

Gin

He loves you to the ends of the earth. He loves head pats and cuddles. He loves to help you with things around the house. Gin follows you everywhere. You walk him home every day. Gin sometimes finds small gems on the ground and he gives them to you. If you ever get hurt Gin would leave your side.

Keiji

He drinks coffee a lot so you bring him coffee when he's on the clock. You sometimes stay up and help him with cases. You solved multiple cases with him. He was worried you would steal his job. He gives you the credit you deserve when you solve a case. You once cosplayed as him and went into his job for him. You were then told you getting a promotion. You had to tell everyone you were his little sister. Keiji walked through the door and you waved. "Hey, big bro!" the look of confusion in everyone's eyes.

Q-taro

You steal his hat a lot. He picks up tables trying to find it. He taught you how to play baseball! He travels a lot and he takes you to some of his games. He gives you one of the balls after every game.

Mishima

You are super close with him. He teaches you all about art. You met up with Nao and you painted for a few hours. The kids in his class know about you because you visit him during lunch break. You and Nao once pranked him by dressing up as him. If you're having a bad day he immediately knows.

Shin

He works a lot so you don't see each other very often. When you do see each other he brings Kanna and Kugie. Kanna is very fond of you and sees you more like a mom than a big sister. You steal his scarf and beanie all the time. Sometimes you go to his work for no reason.

Shunsuke

Just like Shin, he works a lot so you rarely see him. You all him Shun a lot. At first, he hated it but he's quite fond of the nickname. He sends you all of his documents so you can proofread them. He falls asleep and his computer a lot so you have to carry him to bed. Sometimes you finish up his work for him.

Alice

Him and Reko fight a lot which means that you have to scold him for his actions. The three of you are pretty close. He taught you how to play different types of instruments. He is a big softie at heart for you and Reko. He likes to hold your hand in crowds.

Ranmaru

You two vibe together. You play video games and eat a lot. When you walk home from school he subconsciously holds your hand. He will get super flustered. He lets you pet his head. You usually use nicknames instead of his real name. The nicknames include sheep, sheepmaru, wooloo(a pokemon!), maru, and cloud. He acts like he hates them but he loves them.

Kurumada

You once box with him and he got beaten. He wasn't even trying to lose. You usually call him Kuru. He is super protective of you and he will fight anyone that hurts you. You have to stop him from punching people

Floormasters (Ah yes my favorite gender!)

Miley

You and Miley have the same messed-up humor. You tease each other a lot. You agreed to become a floormaster with her. You enjoy tormenting the player of your game. You would have an outfit centered around your favorite dessert and a red crown that faded to yellow. The two of you might fight but you're very close.

Safalin

The two of you both work as nurses together. She loves being pet on the head. You joking drank out of her straw once and she panicked. You sometimes call her Staffy. You go out and drink melon soda.

Ranger

You both want to fight your dad. Kai tried to teach both of you to cook but uhh you nearly burnt the Chidouin's house down. The two of you mess with Stafalin a lot. You once said, "Rio is as funny as a half-peeled orange with dick carved into it." You two fight a lot. They tend to flop over on your lap when they want attention.

Midori

He calls you my darling Y/n a lot. You both enjoy Shin's terror. He can't cook at all. He burns noodles. He lets you have his scarf. He loves to plop his head in your lap and just lay there. You fight with him a lot but it's mostly just petty stuff.

her eyes looked over the sign that was posted above the door. eyebrows furrowed as she wondered what would open the thing. ranmaru only examined the girl in front of him.

she looked to be around the same age as he used to be. she looked lively and she didn’t seem to be disturbed by the idea that he could die if he got too far from her. she only smiled and tried to link arms with him. a pout forming as he hastily dodged her.

“hey little lady, give ‘im a peck on the cheek and i’m sure it’ll get him going”

damn you kurumada.

her laugh resounded in the tension filled room. she didn’t hold herself up high with diligence like their assumed leader- sara- did. her presence didn’t command people to respect her.

she was very carefree and she still jumped with a pep in her step. she still smiled gleefully at others and she looked at him with innocent curiosity.

“so you’re like- all doll right.. ranmaru-kun?”

“uh yup, all doll.”

suddenly, he felt a poke come to his cheek. he took a step back as he tried to reel in from embarassment.

“wh- what the hell-“

“pffft- no kiddin’! your cheeks are cold as shit!”

then they were all sent their way. nobody walked with them, as the rest favored hovering over sara. the girl only say brief goodbyes to every as she walked back over to him. she skipped down the hallways with a calm air coming between them as he trailed behind her.

now here they were at their predicament, at the stupid door. he had to guess that it was a bathroom? but then why the hell wont it open.

“i swear to god, none of these fuckin doors ever open by themselves.”

he heard her mutter to herself. he could only watched as tapped her chin, in wonder. but he saw gears turn in her head before she beckoned for him to come closer.

“do ya trust me, ranmaru kun?”

“sure, i guess but-“

before he could even finish his sentence, he felt fingers lace between his. warmth sat in his palm, opposed to the faux warmth he had in his pocket.

“?!”

his cheeks quickly turned pink as he felt heat rush to them. his hand was limp in hers as his brain malfunctioned. she only stood, smiling at the door in front of her.

her hand was delicate. dainty. his own bandaged ones wrapped nicely and snugly around them.

god shut UP brain what are you thinking?!

but the door opened, and she released his hand. she pumped her fist and yelled into the air.

“hell YEAH! wooo!! it worked!”

he tried to calm his heart rate.

“didn’t think you were that sharp.”

she childishly pouted in his direction.

“heyyy ranmaru-kun don’t be mean!”

she blinked in his direction as he tried to busy himself with looking into the door. he heard footsteps come closer and god can she just give him some space right now-

“you should calm down ranmaru-kun! i dunno if your battery can handle it!”

he shoved his hands deeper into his pockets at being called out. her face only a few inches from his, he felt more embarrassment rise. his face positively red. but she didn’t acknowledge it as she smiled at him again.

he let out a small tch as he averted his head and looked in another direction. hallway looked pretty interesting right about now….

“a-and why do you think i’m like this in the first place?”

she blinked curiously. he immediately regretted the words he muttered out. a strange feeling placed in the bottom of his stomach as he waved her away and walked toward the room.

he warned her that they’d have to fight whatever was in here alone and she only let out a small “o-kay~!” he lightly chastised her for being so carefree before walking in.

…

“are you two friends?”

the woman asked in front of them. the girl cocked her as she sipped her tea. he leaned back in his chair and wondered his answer. he couldn’t say he technically did. it’s been too fast and he wasn’t very keen on trusting someone.

(his mind itched whenever he remembered he had to kill her-)

“yeah i think so!”

the woman in front of him blinked in surprise. he turned his eyes to see his partner smiling into her cup of tea. her legs swinging in the chair like a petulant child.

perhaps she could sense something was wrong because she turned in his direction. her eyes caught his and she cocked her head.

“do you not think so ranmaru-kun?”

“ah….”

his silence was spoken loud and clear. the girl only hummed, the air in the room becoming tense. before the woman could step in, she smiled again.

“that’s okay! because i’m still your friend!”

he blinked at her with an incredulous look. she beamed at him as she set down her empty teacup.

“i’ll be your friend enough for both of us!”

he sat stunned for a little before raising his teacup to drink. the cup obscuring a small amused smile.

“you sound stupid.”

“hey!”

when the woman showed them out, he could only think of her smile. and when she skipped in front of him, he could only think of her lifeless corpse in his arms.

“hey.”

“yeah?”

“we only just met, anyhow. you should be more wary of others. it’s practically a miracle you’ve survived this long with that attitude.”

she crossed her arms behind her back and let a radiant smile he thrown his way.

“if i’m not trusting in you, my decapitation partner; then who will i have?”

her words were framed strange. as if she did not trust the rest of her group. perhaps it was just because they met and she wanted to believe in someone? maybe she was just stupid?

“cant say the same for me.”

“i know!”

he scoffed with a smile as he walked a little faster. to match with her skipping throughout the hallway.

…

“hey hey hey no wait- doesn’t- doesn’t that mean-”

her tearful voice yelled over the speaker. completely drowning out the voices of others. oh god. oh god.

he didn’t want to die.

not here.

not ever.

(he knew. he always knew that was impossible but even so!)

he muttered her name as she bumbled in her mournful responses.

“i know it’s for gin but if we miss then ranmaru-kun is gonna!”

please calm down.

he felt his fake heartbeat quicken as he laid a hand in front of his coffin. he wanted to live. he wanted to live for her.

her smile.

the warmth in her eyes opposed to his cold body.

“I DONT WANT RANMARU-KUN TO DIE!! CMON GUYS YOU GET IT RIGHT?! I CANT POSSIBLY LET THIS-”

he yelled inside the sound proofed coffin, unable to listen this anymore. she had always smiled at him, tried to make him comfortable.

“cmon! there’s still a chance it’ll hit midori right?!”

he tried to seem confident but fod was it hard. she was always the put together one when they explored. she slapped him in the face when he said he could kill any of the others for her.

she was strong.

stronger than him.

but…

this is all he can do.

“it’s okay…”

she let out a pained groan as he heard a thump on the floor. muttered curses coming out of her lips as she sobbed. he heard lighter and wobbly footsteps as he felt the hesitation.

“hey… do you remember what maple asked?”

he didn’t wait for her to reply but her cries stifled.

good.

because if she didn’t stop crying, then he’d probably start crying himself.

(it’s a lie, he already felt the tears well up in his eyes.)

“yknow what? i think we are friends.”

he was lonely in his life.

always… alone.

an always bruised child that had no friends.

there was silence as the button was pressed. there was a chance that it wouldn’t hit him and he was trying to be positive for once.

but his coffin shifted and he was met with the hard reality. he felt tears roll down his eyes and his fists met the metal coffin.

he knew it was futile of course.

but if anything invigorated him, then it was the pained scream that sounded like her beautiful voice.

“looks like you chose wrong!”

“you chose ranmaru’s!”

“LIVE FOR US! WIN, PARTNER!”

“RANMARU!”

her tear filled voice yelled out.

….

he felt nothing.

his last thought was of her hands wrapping around his. a smile on her face as she looked at him with that look.

like she trusted him with her life.

his cheek slightly red from the slap that came a few minutes before.

“you don’t have to kill anyone. because we’re gonna escape we’re together with everyone else.”

“but what if -“

her hands wrapped tighter around his as her forehead bopped with his.

“stop that. you’re never going to get anywhere without trusting them.”

“but-“

“trust your decapitation partner! trust in me, ranmaru-kun!”

he could only sigh as she smiled again. his heartbeat normal instead of the frenzied mess it was when she first held it.
