#release the hostages

My least favorite Pro-Palestine argument/quote is “It was never about the hostages.”
Fuck you. Fuck you for downplaying October 7. Fuck you for ignoring the hostages who were murdered in captivity, ignoring the women in Hamas’s grasp who’ve stated they were raped. The one year old in custody. The people who are being tortured and slowly dying.

The Israel-Arab Conflict isn't Complex
1. 99.7% of MENA (Middle-East & N. Africa) is controlled by one religion, which has ethnically cleansed nearly all others.
2. The conflict is not about land, it's about jihad, which is ethnic cleansing + conquest.
3. Together jihadists + leftists have created a weaponized narrative framework of lies.
4. In reality, Arabs colonized Judea and ethnically cleansed nearly the entire MENA region, where they continue to persecute minorities. They often project their faults on their victims.
5. To be clear, the last thing jihadists want is a new state or new national identity -- they have over 50 already. By their own voices, they want the submission of all others.
6. The left's unholy alliance with jihadists is based on shared values of antisemitism and authoritarianism. Both groups wish to impose their values forcefully on others. Both create webs of rhetoric and grievances to excuse any actions, even the most despicable imaginable which go against any modern values.
7. The only solution is to unravel the threads of hate everywhere we can. We must exorcise antisemitism from our own society, which was deeply embedded in it by the Romans, who created a state religion institutionalizing it.
8. Hate must be completely disassembled from Israel's territories as well, for there to be peace in the region. Globally, we must support moderates and reject extremism.
9. The West must humbly open its mind and realize it hasn't lived up to its own values. It's been deeply programmed to demonize Jews for 1700 years. This hate indoctrination extremely clouds the West's judgements about Israel. Ideas have power.
10. The West is broken when it comes to Jews. Its ideas do not work at all, its obsession is highly neurotic and toxic. Extremism and hate need to be resolved everywhere.
11. The reason Western society is cherished is due to its hard fought for moral values. We must abide by these values if we want our civilization to continue and evolve. We must not fall into depravity. We must intensely guard our virtues!

"Ever since the pogrom of Oct 7th, we've witnessed the complete collapse of the moral authority of the Woke Left, and the Woke Elites. These are the kind of people who, for years, have posed as caring and loving and wonderful people who just want equality and for everyone to be treated fairly and nicely.
We now know, courtesy of the barbarism of Oct 7th, what a myth that was! Because they have made excuses for the pogrom of 7th Oct, they've said it was a form of 'resistance'... and since then, they have turned a blind eye to soaring levels of antisemitism..."

POV: you're a Hamas "captive:"

Gallagher: I'd like to follow up on that, maybe attempt to simplify it. We are fortunate to live in a democracy, and Dr. Wallander, would you say that the United States military in general holds itself to the highest ethical standards? Moral and ethical standards?
Wallander: Yes, congressman.
Gallagher: Would you say that our military takes great effort to avoid civilian casualties wherever possible?
Wallander: Yes, congressman.
Gallagher: Do you believe the United States intentionally targets civilians?
Wallander: I believe the US military does not intentionally target civilians.
Gallagher: And in Israel, we have a vibrant democracy as well, this is a great thing. Do you believe that the Israeli Defence Forces hold themselves to a high moral and ethical standard, just as the United States does?
Wallander: I do believe that the Israeli Defence Forces hold themselves to that high standard.
Gallagher: And Israel does not target civilians and takes steps to avoid civilian casualties wherever possible, correct?
Wallander: I believe that is a true statement, sir.
Gallagher: And is there any evidence at present that they are-- you emphasized in your testimony that they have a responsibility to protect civilians. I agree, I think they're doing-- going to great lengths to do just that and to uphold international law. Is there any that they are violating international law?
Wallander: I am not aware of any evidence that they are deliberately targeting civilians.
Gallagher: And so, contrast that. The high moral and ethical standards of the United States military and our allies in Israel, with Hamas. Hamas is a terrorist organization, correct?
Wallander: Yes, congressman.
Gallagher: And Hamas does not care about human life, including the civilians in Gaza?
Wallander: Worse, Hamas exploits others' concern for civilian life by placing their capabilities and their fighters, protected by human shields.
Gallagher: That was going to be my next question, you anticipated the use of human shields. And many civilians in Gaza have died from Hamas rockets landing inside Gaza in Hamas' attacks on civilians. Correct?
Wallander: I believe there have been such validated incidents, yes, congressman.
Gallagher: The only thing I'm curious about is, Hamas could, if we applied the same standard, they have a responsibility to protect human life, Hamas could surrender today, release all of the hostages and the war presumably would be over. Correct?
Wallander: If Hamas ended their war against Israel, the conflict could be over today.
Gallagher: A final question on this front. Do you want Hamas to be removed from control of Gaza or would you like to see Hamas regain control of Gaza, at the risk of another October 7th-type massacre?
Wallander: The administration fully supports Israel's goal of destroying Hamas' ability to conduct these operations.
Gallagher: Thank you, I appreciate that.

Something that is frustrating is when anti-Israel folks act like they are completely wise in the ways of how war works.
Listen, if a terrorist grouping breaks into your country, slaughters thousands and kidnaps your people, ya, you’re gonna fight back.
They’re not just bombing to destroy Gaza. If that were the case, they would’ve flattened it by October 8. Instead, they have coordinated attacks. They attack the hospitals and schools because Hamas stores weaponry and bunkers there. But I don’t see you getting on their asses for war crimes.
Stop acting like you know how war works. You probably had a grandpa in the military and it ends there. And clearly you don’t do enough research on wars.
My grandpa was a veteran, my parents are both history majors, and I have 4 teachers who are veterans and who have told us their stories of war. And so, while I may not have first hand experience, I’ve heard from multiple different sources of people on what happens in one and why militaries do what they do. But I’m not going around saying I’m an expert on war because I did a few Google searches and watched a couple of TikTok videos for my ‘research’.
Look, tell me, what do you want Israel to do in this situation? And don’t you fucking say a ceasefire because they’ve already tried that and Hamas keeps breaking them.
So what should Israel do? Just roll over and let Hamas try to kill them all? Let Hamas get away with kidnapping their citizens? Because if that’s what you think, fuck you.

Update: Back here partly.... Any anti Israeli, Jewish PM's and posts will be ignored and blocked, and please spare me all the "From the river to the sea" shit, because u know nothing.
**************
This one is not Dragon Age related.
Tumblr is one if the most antisemitic/ anti Israeli, anti Jewish (call it whatever you like, it's all the same to me) platforms on the internet.
Unfortunately I don't feel very comfortable here anymore ( this was my comfortable place ones).
I had to unfolow some of my long-time mutuals.....
I will not try to convince anyone in anything... because ignorance is the same as epidemic....
I don't want to be here anymore, at least for now....
Most of you know where to find me....
Be good to each other....
P.S Feel free to unfolow me if you want.

Joint statement of 18 nations calling for the immediate release of all hostages.
A joint statement by United States, Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Thailand, and the United Kingdom calling for the Release of the Hostages Held in Gaza
We call for the immediate release of all hostages held by Hamas in Gaza for over 200 days. They include our own citizens. We strongly support the ongoing mediation efforts to bring our people home. We emphasize that the deal on the table to release the hostages would bring an immediate and prolonged ceasefire in Gaza, that would facilitate a surge of additional necessary humanitarian assistance to be delivered throughout Gaza, and lead to the credible end of hostilities. Gazans would be able to return to their homes and their lands with preparations beforehand to ensure shelter and humanitarian provisions.
