I’m just sitting after just watching Miss Americana listening to Change and crying. Taylor has been by my side for what feels like forever. She’s been there for so many bad days, but even more good days. I listened to Long Live the night after I graduated high school. Reputation got me through a really hard time when I fell out with my best friend. I can’t even explain what it means to see another side of her in this movie. To hear her talk about seeing photos of herself and feeling bad and wanting to just not eat, the same thoughts I’ve had before and am still learning not to have. To see her cry and give her mom a hug. To see her fight for what she believes in and not give a fuck what people think. To be absolutely devasted when it doesn’t work out like it should. I’ve never felt closer to her. And I feel like I know her better than ever before.

The movie was just fucking brilliant.

I love you, Taylor. And I hope one day I can tell you in person.
