Do you know those 2010s tv shows or did I hallucinate them?
So I was going down memory lane the other day, and I've started wondering how obscure/mainstream those tv shows are, so, poll time!

i fully blame the rescue heroes movie (i think it was the movie) for why i love angst so much. i vividly remember watching the scene in the movie where the leader gets his hand cut and nearly dying or something and the others had to save him.
I actually never saw the movie!
I had the second episode on VHS tape (showing my age here) that came as a promo extra for some other thing my mom bought me and my little autistic ass watched it on repeat forever. They were just so cool!!
I wanted to be a paramedic because of the show but I have disabilities that prevent me from doing so. Watching 9-1-1 just gives me all the same vibes as Rescue Heroes!

Remember Rescue Heroes?
It's not a toyline the rest of YouTube would tell you about…

Did anyone else watch 9-1-1 and feel a weird sense of vague nostalgia? Like you'd seen these characters before but couldn't place where?
Did you also watch Rescue Heroes as a kid?

I think some of you guys might like Rescue Heros. It’s a rescue show that has them saving people around the world with their high tech (or well, high tech for 2000s)
It’s kinda old but there’s definitely some enjoyment to it. The reboot is okay. Not horrible but it’s not really a show

I’m back at it again with another Rescue Heroes drawing.
This time, it’s of Wendy Waters (voiced by the ever so talented Lenore Zann)

Rescue heroes and those who deal with natural disasters and such are under appreciated.
While watching the new episode of MHA (s6 ep14), this thought/feeling just hit me. The part where we see all the devastation and all the rubble, presumably caused by Gigantomachia, hit DIFFERENT. Even though I’d read it before, actually hearing the injured people screaming and crying out for help broke my heart.
Seeing the sister trying to pull her brother out from under a piece of rubble was WAY more impactful when voice-acted. For me, it really brought the scene to life, and it hurt.
Just watching that was painful, but what must it be like to be a hero there. We see when one of the heroes says that he needs to find another line of work. This rescue work takes a toll on people.
The rescue involved in the hero work is extremely taxing mentally, and heroes don’t get enough appreciation for it. Rescue work as a whole is undervalued, and I think it’s be more interesting to see it explored more. We’re still kinda exploring it with Ochaco’s arc, but it’s be cool to explore in-depth what kind of effect that has on a person. Moral of the story, rescue work is intense.

This was my favorite cartoon growing up. It’s called Rescue Heroes. 9-1-1 is basically the grown up version of my childhood show. Just listen to the intro, it was fucking badass!
If you’re desperate for a 9-1-1 fix during this hiatus, I HIGHLY recommend you check out Rescue Heroes. I know it’s an old kids show, but imho you don’t have to be a kid to enjoy it. All episodes are free on YouTube:

What does it say about me when I can recognize who I believe is supposed to be Billy Blazes of the Rescue Heroes?
Is this from the original or the one I can vaguely remember seeing an ad for some years back?
