Favorite Qsmp Moments By Yours Truly
Reblogged this post about my Top 3, and felt compelled to put down all the moments I remember the most fondly (which is a lot so good luck getting through the whole post, if you make it to end you get the eggs back on the server)
#Lore
Pretty much the entire Happy Pills arc (Philza seeing the fake room and fake Richas, the lead up to Forever pulling a gun on him, Cellbit and Forever's argument, Forever hysterically sobbing while talking to fake Richas, the reveal that Forever destroyed the entire goddamn server and forced the Fed to do a server rollback, the Curing, the calm afterwards)
Pac being walked back to Chume Labs by Cellbit after being cured, them having their heart to heart, Cellbit recognizing his struggle and telling him he saved himself and Forever, that he was a hero, and Pac quietly recovering in his first moment of peace since it all started.
The hospital visits when Forever was comatose. Philza, Bad and Cellbit's visits are the ones people talk about the most for the serious parts but Fit also visited and opened up a surprising amount, I feel like it said a lot about his character that he opened up to a man in a coma, desperate to get his words off his chest, but not trusting enough to tell someone who would remember them the next day
Bad getting really pissed at the Federation for the first time and lassoing Cucurucho to "walk him like a dog" (you could feel the anti-Federation sentiment really solidify in this moment, before it was more so Cellbit's personal vendetta but this became one of the moments that made it a server-wide stance)
Vegetta and later Foolish fighting off the Codes who were trying to kill Leo (the absolute stress from Foolish's fight when he kept shouting at Leo to warp out and her not doing it was unreal)
Tallulah's first death, how hard Fit, Forever and their eggs fought to protect her, and how absolutely furious Philza was
Pretty much every Forever and Cucurucho interaction post-Happy Pills; their dynamic was never the same after that, and you can see how tense Forever is every time he's alone with Cucurucho
Charlie's rampage after Flippa died the first time (pre-trial); he's too good at voice acting cause holy shit
Maxo's "King of the Codes" dream after his leg got infected
Quackity coming back after El Quackity vanished and being himself yet completely different (not remembering anyone, only speaking spanish, not being able to read or write), and Maxo and Roier sticking by him trying to press for answers while Q just wanted to build his house
Etoiles getting hyped for his big final fight with the Codes, and the excitement immediately being sapped out of him when he sees Pomme in the cage
The first time we saw a Federation worker other than Cucurucho (Cellbit was the first to see one I believe)
Tubbo's "Fire won't break it. TNT won't break it. I will." speech after Quackity abducted Fred
Funnies/Generally Cool
The Gordinho Gostozinho highlights (from funny ones like the Foolish and Austin kiss to lore like the ambush on El Quackity)
Foolish roleplaying being very fucking drunk in the club after the spiderbit wedding (him being like "you want a shot? I'll give you a fucking shot" and pulling out a gun and shooting Charlie was so goddamn funny, second time he shot Charlie that night); he was wildly good at roleplaying a drunk person and after the Brazil meetup where we learned he's apparently a tank when it comes to drinking I'm starting to see where it comes from lmao
Maxo waking up in Pierre's bed with his moan remix playing after he died during a serious lore moment, and his face of absolute defeat and bitter resentment actually had me struggling to breath from how hard I was laughing (also Baghera hysterically laughing at the clip and showing it to people)
Polis singing My Heart Will Go On with his very crunchy microphone to Cellbit (and Cell losing his shit)
Vegetta starting to suck off Foolish in the middle of a theater full of people the first fucking day the French were on the server, and the ensuing shouting from everyone angrily trying to stop them
SASUKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Debate moderator Fit during the election arc (+him reading out Gegg's speeches, as well as just Gegg's speeches in general)
Lawyer Jaiden/Bad/Quackity/Roier being genuinely really good at acting as lawyers (and lawyer Fit offering to bribe and then murder the judge if the trial didn't go their way. Also the trial derailing into exposing Foolish for his love life with Mariana for some reason)
All the victims of Eh Vegetta
The emotional rollercoaster that is the Frubbo arc, Tubbo's thirst tweets included
Felps
The first time the admins did a roundup of everyone's early-game builds and they kept showing Mariana's base with the negative buzzer sound, each time of which made Mariana more angry until he was just swearing in spanish
Mousey's first experiences in Lucky Ducks, and the pinpointable moments that led to her totally not gambling addiction
Abueloier (specifically his first interaction with Quackity cause of how good Roier is at making Q laugh with horny humor + the moment when Abueloier said he had been fighting with Roier for 20 years and Cellbit asked "how did you fight with a baby" and them cracking up cause Roier hadn't thought that part through)
Baghera being consistently bad at predicting mines for the sake of avoiding them
Fit killing Tubbo with the potato gun after he started strip teasing on Pac
That clip of Missa jumping off the wall to hit a bucket clutch, miscalculating and hitting part of the wall, falling further, hitting part of the wall again and getting downed on it, falling while downed, and finally hitting the ground where he was unable to clutch because he was downed, and immediately dying
Every moment where Tina is unhinged (her raging at Bad when he's being a nuisance, her being down horrendous for Bagi, etc)
Charlie talking about his dead daughter and Foolish interrupting him to ask if he lactates (Charlie doesn't usually hesitate with responses cause of how quick witted he is but he had to fully pause after that one)
Spreen teaching Fit how to do a line being his most meaningful contribution to their marriage
Felps Square, and the rise of Squole (Felps Square x Tubhole)
The Jaidens (and how hilariously shit they were at being stealthy)
The French Beast aka Etoiles various adventures destroying the Codes and typing his win streak in chat after every fight
Philza getting to really know Tazercraft during Tallulah's birthday party (seriously watch the clips Mike is fucking hilarious)
The post-lore hangout (might've been the election dinner?) where Foolish, Mouse, Tina, and Felps went dungeoning together; I got to learn more about Mouse, and the chemistry the Foolish/Tina/Mouse group had with Felps was really fun
Rivers being awkward as fuck around other people that aren't Roier
The entire trial of Juanaflippa, including Charlie and Mariana being in holding and breaking out
Antoine's "because he's a fucking troll" about Pierre
The moment when Kameto logged on
Forever calling Bad "sir" (if yk yk)
Fit complaining to Philza and co. about Spreen being a "fucking asshole husband who went out for cigarettes"
Vegetta and Roier debuting as strippers and Quackity's reaction (+Vegetta getting stuck in the wall)
Flippa's turtle falling off a ledge and killing itself right in front of Charlie and Mariana's sex roleplay
Mine Roulette with Antoine, Bad, Baghera, Pomme and Foolish (that evening was such a vibe and it was my first time watching from Antoine's stream)
Etoiles saying that Pierre is married and has kids but all he can think about is being depressed over the admins nerfing Create after Tubbo kept breaking things
Ramón being mad at Fit for keeping secrets from him and saying "talk to my shell" before carrying on with his redstone
The pinpointable moments where Tallulah gets more sassy and confident until she's unironically putting "serve cunt" in her signs
Bad trying to get info from Cucurucho, being told by Dapper and Ramón not to flirt, and immediately slipping up with the "you come here often"
Missa singing When You're Gone during his dog funeral (I know this sounds sad but it was really fucking funny, Missa's language vocabulary is 70% incompressible whimpering)
Fit losing his absolute mind after Cucuruchito started heavy flirting with him out of no where
Vegetta's mines and all the carnage they have caused (you could make a whole comp from just the French's arrival)
That era where Tazercraft where abusing create mod and breaking Federation shit near on the daily (the poor admins lmao)
Forever and Bad exploring the Federation construction site and Forever making Cucurucho drink his pee before being shot at for making Cucurucho drink his pee
And of course, all of the lovely Qsmp songs/memes (Vivo Turbo ad, Pac e Mike wow wow, Eh Vegetta, Maxo moan remix, Pomme Pomme Dapper Dapper remix, Quackity paga el servidor, honorary French member Bebou, meus pais/minhas mães, the inactive members being referenced to this day, Amiga...)

With the current events involving Unity. I can honestly say one thing: It’s a good thing Atlus used Unreal Enginge instead!
Soul Hackers 2 is funny though as they’ll have to likely remove it to not pay the obscene prices Unitys mew crappy pricing system will cost.
There's no way they don't walk this back, right? This is like, the most catastrophic policy maneuver of the last generation. It's provoked the sort of totally united front that you rarely witness online. Was that the idea, to bring everyone together? Are they doing the end of Code Geass? I mean, the trust is already gone so a rollback won't really turn the tide, but they should definitely make John Riccitiello do dogeza in front of a podium.

Interview with Arc System Works (2023) - Part 2
Tumblr media
Finally, we have delivered our own love letter with the second half of our interview (Comunidad Arc System Works x Anime Fighting Game Community News) with Arc System Works!
A lot of companies are starting to develop their games in Unreal Engine 5. Can we expect the next Arc System Works’ game to run in this engine?
Guilty Gear -Strive- Producer: Ken Miyauchi
We are constantly investigating and researching the potential on development on the new engine. We cannot promise anything, but perhaps in the future it might happen.
We have seen the announcement of a Blazblue rogue like. Are there any plans to release that game worldwide?
Global Marketing Dept. Biz Dev / Producer: Zack Tan
It is still a title under development, and we are unable to disclose any details about it.
Note from CASW: The game already has a Steam page and a global Twitter account as of now, so we can pretty much give for granted that it will be available worldwide, however, we do not know if it will be available worldwide just for Steam or Steam/Mobile.
Tumblr media
Guilty Gear Strive is still super successful, with two characters left to be released in the second season pass. Are you already thinking in a third season pass? There are still a lot of fan favourites out of the roster.
Guilty Gear -Strive- Producer: Ken Miyauchi
I cannot answer to this yet, all I can say for now is that I personally would like to also see more characters appearing in Guilty Gear -Strive-.
Unfortunately, we don’t usually get a lot of Guilty Gear or Blazblue merchandising here in Europe. Do you have future plans to open an European branch? I’ve already seen a big effort from the company taking into consideration our region when it was announced that GGST offered Spanish texts among many other languages back then.
Global Marketing Dept. Biz Dev / Producer: Zack Tan
We are in the midst of preparation for better outreach and coverage for the European region. We cannot disclose any details at the moment, but we do hope to provide better and more timely services to our fans in the European region.
We have seen Blazblue taking part of different genres like rhythm games, 3D arena, tag fighting game, gacha and full visual novel if we include Xblaze. Do you have any interest on giving Guilty Gear the same treatment? Personally, I think that a rhythm game could be cool.
Guilty Gear -Strive- Producer: Ken Miyauchi
I personally am also interested for Guilty Gear to take part in different genres, like "Guilty Gear 2: Overture", in the future. No promises yet, but there is a chance.
Tumblr media
I like the fact that Xbox is getting ASW fighting games, plus, I love the idea of implementing crossplay because that allows the whole fighting game community to play together regardless the platform we choose for playing. Is crossplay being considered as a default feature for your upcoming projects?
Guilty Gear -Strive- Producer: Ken Miyauchi
This is pretty much the same question as to the previous one above on rollback and crossplay - it depends on the scale and scope of each individual project.
Note from CASW: To know more about this subject, check Par I of this interview here!
Are there plans to add any option to create our own colour palette for the characters and the effects of their attacks? Something similar to Melty Blood: Type Lumina.
Guilty Gear -Strive- Producer: Ken Miyauchi
It is an interesting feature. We actually do have similar discussions internally, but no promises yet. Personally, I would also like to see more color options for the players.
Tumblr media
Besides new characters, do you have any interest in offering any additional single player or multiplayer modes for Guilty Gear Strive? I would like to see mini games like those added in Street Fighter 6, for example.
Guilty Gear -Strive- Producer: Ken Miyauchi
We have also received many requests for additional single player modes like M.O.M. etc. from players.
I myself am also interested on these side-game modes other than just the main fighting part, but I cannot promise anything yet.
What do you think of the F2P model of business? Do you think that it fits with your games?
Global Marketing Dept. Biz Dev / Producer: Zack Tan
The F2P model has been on the talks within the company, both development and marketing departments.
We cannot disclose anything concrete yet, but we do feel the potential of it.
It is less on "whether the F2P model works on our games", but more on "how do we make it fit our game".
Since Arc System Works made the change to Unreal Engine, we haven’t seen any specific interactions between characters like the classic Ky VS Sol or Ragna VS Jin. Instead, we have been getting some specific conversations. However, we have had something like this for Dragon Ball Fighter Z with Goku VS Frieza or Teen Gohan VS Cell. I would like to ask if we will see any of those rivalry interactions for your main series again in the future.
Guilty Gear -Strive- Producer: Ken Miyauchi
The special character interactions is something that I also loved watching in the classic fighting games. I would personally want to push for adding those dramatic intros too as I believe it is a great way to show the character personalities and relationship with other characters, but it requires huge resources to making those, as much work as though adding a new overdrive for the characters.
Tumblr media
Thank you very much for reading this interview! We would also like to thank Arc System Works for making this interview possible! Happy Valentine's day!

for me- I normally never like 'it was all a dream' reveals when that's the final answer to the story, but here??? I endorse it sm more bc it's so clear that there's way more to this. especially with the feds history of fucking with people's minds and memories, they've 100% done shit to phil so there's No way that that man is not COOKING something in his lore rn :D
when his story enhances the themes of unreality and derealization (expect if we get consistent references and fades in and out of the birdhouse or reoccurring 'dreams') trust Trust I will be SEATED
yeah exactly! i dont like "and it was all a dream" stories too, but the fact that "and it was all a dream" isn't the final answer here, that there's more to the story than that?? FASCINATING. and it's got some interesting implications for everything else that's been going on on the Island, all the memories and dreams and canonical server rollbacks.
it also kind of makes me think about the "Nightmare" qphil, chayanne, and tallulah had all those months ago, and if this dream-related lore is going to impact THAT lore. i might make a post about that later though.

Version of DLSS 3 Now Accessible At Stormgate Demo
Tumblr media
Enshrouded and Palworld, the two breakthrough successes of 2024, both have DLSS accessible and have amassed a player base of over 20 million. You may now play the Stormgate demo, one of the next Steam blockbusters. With almost $2.2 million committed at the end of the campaign, which was created by RTS veterans, it became the most successful game Kickstarter of 2023 and 2024. With this level of curiosity, Stormgate is sure to be the next big thing this year, and with DLSS 3 included in the demo, you can already play the whole game.
In addition, Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2, which launches tomorrow, and the brand-new Atomic Heart: Trapped In Limbo DLC also include DLSS 3. Completing this bountiful crop of releases is The Inquisitor, which will debut with DLSS 2 later this week.
Stormgate Demo Featuring DLSS 3 Is Now Available
Frost Giant Studios is developing Stormgate, a free-to-play real-time strategy game, with creators from Warcraft III and StarCraft II. Stormgate was 2023’s most successful video game Kickstarter and all-time highest-earning real-time strategy game Kickstarter.
In Stormgate, a game that is already in beta testing and will be available on Steam Early Access later this year, you may play single or collaboratively through exciting campaign objectives that delve into an ever-evolving plot where science fiction and fantasy merge. Engage in competitive 1v1 ladder matches against players worldwide, or join forces with friends to take on the AI in 3P co-op mode. Following Early Access, users will have the opportunity to engage in intense 3v3 matches and create the game of their dreams by using the robust editor.
Stormgate, an Unreal Engine 5 game, stands out from earlier real-time strategy games because to its unparalleled responsiveness and rollback technology, which enables seamless online gameplay. The game will include hundreds of troops on screen in grand, expansive battles over a range of landscapes and tilesets, supporting 4K high-definition HD graphics. Stormgate comes with support for DLSS 2 and DLSS 3, so performance is optimized even at the highest resolutions and detail settings.
As part of Steam Next Fest, the Stormgate demo is accessible from February 5–12 and offers a preview of 3P co-op vs AI and 1v1 ranked matchmaking. Install this file to enable DLSS in-game, which will improve your GeForce RTX laptop and PC performance.
Season 2 of Call of Duty: Warzone, which includes DLSS 3 and DLAA, premieres on February 7
Season 2 of Call of Duty: Warzone debuts tomorrow. Play the new zombie-filled Hordepoint mode, survive the living and the dead on brand-new 6v6 maps, and enter Fortune’s Keep, a complex Warzone level updated for Season 2:
With DLSS Super Resolution, GeForce RTX 20 Series and 30 Series users may increase performance. Additionally, you may activate NVIDIA DLAA, an AI-based anti-aliasing option that makes use of the same technology as DLSS, if you feel that performance is already good enough. Instead of increasing performance, DLAA maximizes picture quality using the image at its natural resolution to provide a richer, more detailed experience.
Moreover, NVIDIA Reflex may be turned on by all GeForce gamers, going back to the GeForce GTX 900 Series owners, for the lowest latency.
Featured in the newest and best games, NVIDIA Reflex is a byword for responsive gameplay. Reflex makes single-player games more responsive and fun by cutting down on system latency, which might give you an advantage over opponents in multiplayer modes. Over 50 million players utilize NVIDIA Reflex monthly, and 90% of GeForce gamers use it in over 90 supported games.
When paired with the blazingly high frame rates provided by DLSS, NVIDIA Reflex in Call of Duty: Warzone decreases system latency by up to 28%, allowing you to show off your skills on the battlefields of Urzikstan, Fortune’s Keep, Ashika Island, and Vondel.
Atomic Heart: Stuck in a Loop Now accessible, using DLSS 3
The “Trapped in Limbo” narrative extension for Atomic Heart begins just after the original game ends, although it does so in a different way than the “Annihilation Instinct” addition did. With a distinct Limbo flavor, Trapped in Limbo unveils new areas of the twisted Limbo universe that are brimming with beloved difficulties!
As they dive into this incredible new gameplay, players will have to assist P-3 in overcoming a number of mind-boggling hurdles, learn the truth about his history and the realm of Limbo, and destroy odd-looking opponents with amazing weaponry in an epic battle. Players must use every effort to get beyond the altered game rules in order to ascend from the bottom of Limbo to the top and release P-3’s psyche from his demons. Players must survive in this mysterious realm of twisted logic in order to discover Major P-3’s destiny, and the “Trapped in Limbo” expansion has the key.
Atomic Heart has supported NVIDIA DLSS 3, NVIDIA DLSS 2, and NVIDIA Reflex since the game’s release a year ago, allowing all GeForce RTX players to improve and speed their gameplay. Enabling DLSS and Reflex in-game will provide the quickest possible performance and even more responsive gameplay if you play Trapped In Limbo.
On February 8th, The Inquisitor launches with DLSS 2
Dark fantasy adventure game The Inquisitor, by The Dust and Kalypso Media, is an action-packed narrative that forces you to make tough moral decisions. The popular Inquisitor book series by Jacek Piekara served as the inspiration for the game’s alternate reality setting.
You are Mordimer Madderdin, an Inquisitor working for God who has been sent to Koenigstein, a town beset by a number of secrets and immorality. Investigate the reality of a more sinister evil from a different dimension that is attempting to infiltrate the world of the living while also resolving the many cases and crimes of those who have violated the religion.
With DLSS 2 available to all GeForce RTX players from the moment of launch, you can boost your performance in The Inquisitor right now.
Now Available: GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER
With all other settings set to maximum, gamers can completely immerse themselves in games like Alan Wake 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Portal with ray-traced graphics, starting at $999 with the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER. Without frame generation, the newest GPU outperforms the RTX 3080 Ti by 1.4X in the most visually demanding games. However, DLSS Frame Generation adds an additional performance increase with 836 AI TOPS, making the RTX 4080 SUPER twice as fast as the RTX 3080 Ti.

Bank Info
Posting a few good video discussions on bank failure. This has potential to affect everyone in some form if it snowballs.
Patrick Bet-David podcast had a very good basic explanation of SVB failure cause at 4:21; just enough detail and not too technical. They make the point later in podcast that the FDIC does not have nearly enough to cover the amount banks have in unrealized losses should several of them go under.
Megyn Kelly podcast had another good layman's terms explanation of cause starting at 4:45, followed by excellent debate of effect and solutions by two very smart, non-woke experts.
Megyn Kelly again discussing banking with a man who understands big picture economics, Steve Forbes
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Digging a bit deeper...
Both the US government and the bank are at fault. The Federal Reserve raised interest rates too high, too quick in order to address the rising inflation caused by US Treasury Dept aggressively printing money (more money makes the US dollar worth less and therefore US debt "cheaper"). Raising interest rates affects debt and investment: it increases the cost of debt, and conversely usually creates a higher rate of return on investments. When rates are lowered after being high, investments are worth less creating what's called an unrealized loss. Financial institutions like Silicon Valley Bank have to react effectively to handle their decreased value assets.
An unrealized loss is a "paper" loss that results from holding an asset that has decreased in price, but not yet selling it and realizing the loss. An investor may prefer to let a loss go unrealized in the hope that the asset will eventually recover in price, thereby at least breaking even or posting a marginal profit.
Contrary to what MSM is reporting, Trump administration's rollback of some Dodd-Frank Act requirements for small businesses is not the problem. A remaining provision of Dodd-Frank is in fact a cause of the bank failure: that law does not require businesses to report unrealized losses. So when SVB bank announced need for funds and executives started selling off their own bank stocks it alerted other investors to ask questions, realize SVB had high mortgage-backed securities worth much less than their original purchase price, and those other investors started to divest until too many depositors got wind of the company being in trouble and withdrew funds from their accounts.
On the 17th of February, a year ago, The King of Fighters XV was released for PC, PS4, Xbox Series X / S and PS5.
This is also the first game in The King of Fighters series created using Unreal Engine 4, and the first to implement GGPO rollback networking. Taking place after the events of The King of Fighters XIV, the narrative primarily revolves around two fighters with multiverse-related supernatural powers, Shun'ei and Isla, among other returning heroes facing revived threats. King of Fighters XV generally received praise for its character roster, team-based gameplay, and smooth online performance, but criticism for its story mode, complex tutorials, and mechanics. Player criticism has mainly been directed to the game's inability to find matches within a short period of time.
Holy moly Some games take 5 minutes to open up and i keep those limitations in mid it isnt possible for someone to enable virtualition on my computer so yeah itd be cool if i didnt have to open up a make belief second computer in my pc just to get this to run when im able to play unreal championship and original zboz titles and also xbix ine titles like killer instinct. You know theres a few.
LETS NOT USE BLUESTACKS. It have a really annoying booting. If you have a very good pc then you can use BS 3.APPS keep on crashing. And shIiiiit like that. What I want to do is uninstall bluestack, and never use any of their product in the near future.
Set permissions to run BlueStacks on the computer. Although this is a rare occurrence, without this permission, some security settings will prevent BlueStacks from working on the computer. The test is very simple as follows: Step 1: Right-click on the icon of the BlueStacks emulation software, select Properties as above.
Run Android apps on your PC
BlueStacks App Player for PC Windows 2.1.16.5938 Released: 10th Jan 2021 (a few seconds ago) BlueStacks App Player for PC Windows 2.1.8.5663 Released: 10th Jan 2021 (a few seconds ago) BlueStacks App Player for PC Windows 2.1.7.5658 Released: 10th Jan 2021 (a few seconds ago).
Older versions of BlueStacks App Player
It's not uncommon for the latest version of an app to cause problems when installed on older smartphones. Sometimes newer versions of apps may not work with your device due to system incompatibilities. Until the app developer has fixed the problem, try using an older version of the app. If you need a rollback of BlueStacks App Player, check out the app's version history on Uptodown. It includes all the file versions available to download off Uptodown for that app. Download rollbacks of BlueStacks App Player for Windows. Any version of BlueStacks App Player distributed on Uptodown is completely virus-free and free to download at no cost.
Entrevista con Arc System Works (2023) - Parte 2
Tumblr media
¡Finalmente, os hacemos entrega de esta carta de amor por nuestra parte con la segunda parte de nuestra entrevista (Comunidad Arc System Works x Anime Fighting Game Community News) con Arc System Works!
Hemos visto que varios juegos están empezando a desarrollarse en Unreal Engine 5. ¿Podemos esperar que el próximo juego de Arc System Works haga uso de este motor gráfico?
Productor de Guilty Gear -Strive-: Ken Miyauchi
Estamos investigando y explorando constantemente el potencial del nuevo motor. No podemos prometer nada, pero quizá podría suceder en el futuro.
2. Al parecer, hemos tenido el anuncio de un roguelike de Blazblue. ¿Hay planes para un lanzamiento mundial?
Departamento de márketing global. Biz Dev / Productor: Zack Tan
Es un título que todavía se encuentra en desarrollo, por lo que no podemos desglosar los detalles que lo conciernen.
Nota de CASW: El juego ya cuenta con página web en Steam y Twitter global oficial, por lo que podemos confirmar que el juego se lanzará en todo el mundo. Lo que no sabemos es si será lanzamiento mundial solo para Steam o también para móviles.
Tumblr media
3. Guilty Gear Strive todavía goza de muy buena salud, quedando aún dos personajes del segundo pase de temporada por lanzarse. ¿Tenéis ya en mente un tercer pase de temporada? Todavía hay fuera de la plantilla muchos personajes queridos por los fans.
Productor de Guilty Gear -Strive-: Ken Miyauchi
Todavía no puedo responder a esto, todo lo que puedo comentar por ahora es que, personalmente, también me gustaría ver más personajes en GuiltyGear -Strive-.
Nota de CASW: Vamos, que sí.
4. Desgraciadamente, no solemos recibir mucho merchandising de Guilty Gear y Blazblue por Europa. ¿Tenéis planes a futuro para abrir una sucursal europea? He visto grandes esfuerzos por parte de la empresa a la hora de tener en consideración nuestra región, véase como el anuncio de la traducción española junto al resto de muchas otras lenguas europeas para GGST.
Departamento de márketing global. Biz Dev / Productor: Zack Tan
Estamos en proceso de preparación para un mejor alcance y una mayor cobertura para la región europea. No podemos revelar ningún detalle en este momento, pero esperamos brindar mejores y más oportunos servicios a nuestros fans europeos.
5. Hemos visto la saga Blazblue atreverse con diferentes géneros, tales como: juegos de ritmo, juegos de lucha 3D, juegos de lucha por equipos, gachas e incluso novelas visuales si incluimos Xblaze. ¿Tenéis algún interés en darle a Guilty Gear un trato similar? Personalmente, creo que un juego de ritmo estaría guay.
GuiltyGear -Strive- Producer: Ken Miyauchi
Personalmente, también estoy interesado en que Guilty Gear se atreva con otros géneros en el futuro, tal como pasó con “Guilty Gear 2: Overture”. No prometo nada, pero existe la posibilidad.
6. Nos gusta el hecho de que Xbox esté recibiendo más juegos de Arc System Works, además, adoro la idea de implementar crossplay porque permite jugar unida a toda la comunidad de juegos de lucha sin importar su plataforma predilecta. ¿Se considerará el crossplay como algo que podamos dar por hecho en futuros proyectos?
Productor de Guilty Gear -Strive-: Ken Miyauchi
Esta pregunta es prácticamente la misma que hubo anteriormente sobre el rollback y el crossplay. Se valora individualmente dependiendo de la escala y el alcance de cada proyecto.
Nota de CASW: Para saber más sobre este tema, ¡echad un vistazo a la Parte I aquí!
7. ¿Existen planes de crear alguna opción con la que crear nuestras propias paletas de colores para los personajes, así como los efectos de sus ataques? Algo similar a lo visto en Melty Blood: Type Lumina.
Productor de Guilty Gear -Strive-: Ken Miyauchi
Es una opción interesante. De hecho, tenemos charlas similares a nivel interno, pero no prometemos nada todavía. Personalmente, también me gustaría que los jugadores tuvieran más opciones para los colores.
8. Además de nuevos personajes, ¿tenéis algún tipo de interés en ofrecer a mayores algún nuevo modo de juego para un jugador o para el multijugador? Por mencionar un ejemplo, me gustaría ver minijuegos como los que se añadieron en Street Fighter 6.
Productor de Guilty Gear -Strive-: Ken Miyauchi
Hemos recibido varias peticiones por parte de los jugadores respecto a añadir modos de juego adicionales para un jugador, tal como podría ser el M.O.M etc.
Personalmente, estoy interesado en este tipo de modos de juego más allá del núcleo jugable principal (la parte de los combates), pero no puedo prometer nada.
9. ¿Qué opináis del modelo F2P (Free top play)? ¿Creéis que encaja con vuestros títulos?
Departamento de márketing global. Biz Dev / Productor: Zack Tan
El modelo F2P ha sido un tema que se ha tratado en la compañía, tanto en los departamentos de desarrollo como de márketing.
No podemos desglosar nada concreto al respecto todavía, pero vemos el potencial que hay en ello.
No es tanto “ver si el modelo F2P funcionará en nuestros juegos”, más bien es un “cómo hacemos que encaje con nuestros juegos”.
10. Desde que Arc System Works dio el salto al Unreal Engine, no hemos visto interacciones específicas entre los personajes como el clásico Ky vs Sol o Ragna vs Jin. En su lugar, hemos tenido conversaciones específicas entre personajes. Sin embargo, sí que tuvimos algo del estilo para Dragon Ball Fighterz con intros como la de Goku vs Freezer o Gohan Adolescente vs Célula. Me gustaría preguntar si veremos ese tipo de rivalidad en las intros de vuestros futuros juegos principales.
Productor de Guilty Gear -Strive-: Ken Miyauchi
Las interacciones especiales entre personajes es algo que también adoraba ver en los juegos de luchar clásicos. Personalmente, también me gustaría hacer presión por que se añadieran esas interacciones únicas, ya que creo que es un modo fenomenal de mostrar la personalidad y relación que hay entre los personajes. Desafortunadamente, el poder hacerlas requiere de muchos recursos, con una cantidad de trabajo equiparable al añadir un nuevo overdrive* para los personajes.
*Overdrive = Ataque especial, como podría ser el Ride The Lightning de Ky.
¡Muchas gracias por haber leído hasta aquí, y muchas gracias a Arc System Works por permitirnos realizar la entrevista! ¡Os deseamos a todos un feliz día de San Valentín!
It seems to me like only the Capcom fanbase can never get over the idea that Japanese developers don't use GGPO Netcode.
There's a lot of reasons for that, hardly any of them involve tradition or old CEO members being stubborn.
You're talking about games that transfer from Arcade Cabs (dominated by Sega) to game consoles, some of which aren't necessarily going to Steam, iOS, or Cellphones.
You're also talking about Netcode that is starting to age.  With Unreal Engine 4, and other newer Devkits, they have to work with more recent technology that produces the best results.
I'm not going to go around blaming Minoru Kidooka for not using tech people prefer just because they 'think' it works for them.  He has to use standards that work with Sega Cabs and Sony/Microsoft standards too.  Even the Nintendo Switch will prove tricky to write code for.
It'd be another story if ARCSys made their own hardware, but they are a Third Party Developer, so they have to work with what's established.
I found this to be an educational read:
Followup for you GGPO fanboys:
1. Most games that use GGPO are emulated 2D.  Most modern Fighting games are 3D or use shaders, and other stuff has to load/process as well.  For games like Injustice 2, it’s still a crapshoot because of #2.
2. GGPO is guesswork, not precision.  It favors players who have bad internet.  By saying you prefer GGPO you’re saying you’d rather fight the computer who is trying to guess what buttons your opponent will press.
3. BALANCE above all else, in Fighting games. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9JTIn1SVQ4&t=31m10s
