Roxanne being the first girl Charlie doesn't have to fake it with.
Joana being the first person Beckett is challenged physically and mentally by.
Winnifred being strong, independent, and proud of herself no matter what - which happens to be the complete opposite of Eliot.
All of these boys, representing different parts of their father, falling in love with girls who are each a bit like their mother.

Character introduction: Tartaros part 2
Part 1
WIP
Okay, I am sick so here's the second part of the Tartaros character introduction. This time the people who are living in Ashphodea in the beginning of book and are alive.
Tumblr media
Andi Ruiz
age : 16
actor face claim: Jenna Ortega
notable characteristics: Nothing to note off. She tries to hide as much as possible
weapon of choice: nothing
Andi Ruiz lives with her single mom in Ashphodea. As a very shy girl, she usually spends her days alone while her single mother is working for Perseus, one of the most influential people in Ashphodea. To pass the time, Andi is incredibly read. She knows all about the history of Tartaros and Ashphodea, more than Ashphodea's goverment would probably like.
Andi's has never known anything about her family other than her mother. That is the reason why Andi is suprisingly curious, trying to look for any clues about her family's past.
Tumblr media
Louis "Perseus" Braun
Age: 36
actor face claim: Gwilym Lee
Notable characteristics: Long blonde hair, thick beard
Louis Braun is one of the most influential people in Ashphodea, just under the gods, who never show themselves to the public, so for many, Louis is the face of Ashphodea. Everyone in Ashphodea adore him and his charismatic smile. In Ashphodians eyes Louis is perfect. Only problem in his perfect life is the Gorgos.
Louis has tried to take down Gorgos and their loyal citizens for years. Medusa just seems always one step ahead. Since the first battle, they have been each others throats. They hate each other. You could say it's that simple but when things are?
Louis is engased to Neela Hayer-Grey, the daughter of Roxanne "Hades" Grey, one of the former gods that passed away by the hand of Medusa. Louis says he loves her but many, like Andi, question their weird relationship, from their age gap to Louis's close relationship to Neela's family ever since she was a kid.
Tumblr media
Juliana "Clymenestra" Ruiz
age: 42
actor face claim: Dascha Polanko
Notable characteristics: always wearing perfect looking clothes
Juliana Ruiz works as a assistant to Perseus. She is a single mother to a 16-year old who she loves but can't see ofter because of work. Her past is very well hidden from almost everyone, including her own. She tries to keep her head low. Lot of her is a spoiler so her explanation is short.
Next one is spoilers for chapter four and five so go read them if you don't want spoilers... here
Tumblr media
Tomas "Pemphredo" Henriksson
age: 55
actor faceclaim: David Thewlis
notable characteristics: Almost unnatural looking face that eye can't regonize
Tomas Henriksson has had many names in his life. For last 15 years he has been Izaiah Jones, his old co-worker whose name he took to escape the Gorgos. People of Tartaros thought he died from blowing himself up with her ex-wife Anna Henriksson. When he turns up alive, Gorgos are angry.
Tomas has worked a lot with I.C.T.A, organization that used to rule Tartaros. He is a scientist and a doctor that specializes with psychotherapy. He could have had an illosturious career without Anna Henriksson, Tomas's worst mistake.

Breakthrough (2019)
This is a Movie Health Community warning. It is intended to inform people of potential health hazards in movies and does not reflect the quality of the film itself.
Breakthrough has a church worship service that features swirling lights and a scene where a group of candles flicker at night.
There is an opening scene that features zooming camera movements around a cityscape that paired with the quick editing can be concerning to both people with epilepsy and people who get motion sick.
Flashing Lights: 4/10. Motion Sickness: 7/10.

Breakthrough (2019)
Tumblr media
Like all faith-based films, Breakthrough is meant for a certain crowd. At its worst, it’s preachy and predictable but the rest of the time, it’s surprisingly emotional thanks to a strong performance by Chrissy Metz.
John Smith (Marcel Ruiz) is playing on a frozen lake with his friends when the ice gives and he falls through. Brought to the hospital by an emergency team 45 minutes later, the doctors do not believe he'll wake from his coma. His adoptive father, Brian (Josh Lucas) prepares for the worst, while his mother, Joyce (Metz) insists their faith will pull them through this ordeal.
Films like God’s Not Dead and Let There Be Light have created this impression that all films centered on telling feel-good or inspirational stories about people of faith in modern America are hammy and tone-deaf. There are few of these Bible-pics I’d rank as "good" so you can understand why this one came as a shock. First of all, this story works even without the God stuff. John struggles with his feelings of abandonment. He rebels against the parents who love him. After parting on not-so-good terms, he is hospitalized. You might’ve seen that sorta thing before, but it’s nonetheless effective. It's nearly impossible to relate to the mother who wants to believe, despite everything, that her son will return.
What sells this film above all are the performances. Chrissy Metz is so good as Joyce. There’s depth and nuance in her character both as a mother and as a woman who believes heaven can save her son. There are nice moments between her and her new hip pastor (Topher Grace), whom she butts heads with. Also between her and her husband. You feel her love, her panic, and exasperation at this situation she has no power over. I was astonished to find myself tearing up in the most dramatic scenes and the ending, which actually addresses a big question people of faith would have after this ordeal is well-handled.
Primarily known for her television work, director Roxann Dawson presents this story (based on true events) with a steady hand and uses the natural emotions well. There are a couple of moments where Breakthrough lacks subtlety. Considering the caliber of the performances, this is a disappointment - I think it would’ve benefited greatly from dialing it down and giving us more food for thought. Still, in its league, this is dynamite stuff, miles ahead of the phoniness of War Room and its kin.
If you like these religious films, I absolutely recommend Breakthrough to you. I can’t think of any hardcore church-goer who wouldn't enjoy it. Even if you’re only mildly religious, I think you’ll appreciate this a great deal thanks to an excellent dramatic turn by Chrissy Metz. (Theatrical version on the big screen, April 29, 2019)

Sometimes I'm driving or taking a shower or washing the dishes and my mind is wandering and I think about the fact that I'll never again get to watch a scene where Manuel Masalva plays Ramón Arellano Félix, and I just get so sad about it.
Like, I know I can rewatch Narcos: México, but I'm talking about new scenes. New, fresh, unreleased scenes, sequences, dialogues for us to obsess with and create gifs and overananalyse and it all. Never again.
I'll never again get to watch Manuel walking around with Ramón's flawless shirts, striding fiercely towards whatever he is shooting at at the moment, dancing in his hyperbolic style at The Roxanne, shouting puta madre or a la chingada or pinche whatever when he gets angry.
I'll never again get to watch Alfonso Dosal somehow managing to look hot with Benjamín's sunday-dad-clothes; never again get to hear Alfonso's beautiful voice while Benjamín talks in a lovely manner with his wife and daughter; never again see the amazing looks Ramón and Benjamín would exchange when something too bad or too good happens, those looks that say despite being so different they understand each other so well and know exaclty what is crossing each others' minds at that moment.
I'll never see Mayra Hermosillo looking like THE BIGGEST BADASS in this show, like, nevermore. I'll never again see her in Enedina's super elegant clothes while she acts as la jefa de Tijuana; never again see her showing grief or anger or determination in Enedina's subtle way, her emotions showing up only in her big beautiful eyes. I'll never again get to see her and Ramón teaming up to protect Benjamín, or maybe her and Benjamín teaming up to protect Ramón. I'll never again see her losing her temper and smashing a bottle in somebody's head, screaming tu puta madre or something like that.
I'll never have another chance to see Diego Luna with a permanent frown, angrily smoking while Miguel silently outsmarts his enemies. I'll never again see Fernanda Urrejola being the most beautiful woman in the world as Maria Elvira; never again see her challenging Miguel; never again feel my heart breaking as I watch their story.
I'll never have another chance to laugh at Chapo's petulant jokes and to wish he and the Arellanos would stop fighting so I could like him more. I'll never again see Teresa Ruiz stunning in Isabella's tight dresses and high heels, and wish the other characters would show her more respect - she so deserved it.
I'll never again get so fucking angry at Rafa's actions and love him at the same time for being so passionate about everything, so loyal, so in love with Sofia and his plantitas, so dramatic when he does something like staring at Neto and saying "Nunca has estado enamorado de nadie porque no tienes corazón." And Neto! I'll never get another chance to have so much fun with his moody, "I'm old and wise but I'll definitely guide you to the wrong side" vibe.
I'll never again watch Amado and Pacho talking, being the strangest and yet the coolest and cutest friends around. I'll never again see them hugging or hear them joking about each others' fashion choices; never again see Amado so worried when he knew Pacho was in danger; never again fall in love with Pacho everytime I see him because the man looks so fine.
All of this makes me so sad Netflix should pay for my therapy. I'm not even joking.
I miss them all SO MUCH. 🥺😭
.
(and this is why @thesolotomyhan and @criatividad-e are real lifesavers, because reading their hcs and fics I feel I meet all these characters again 😌 it's almost like the story is still going on 😌 and I love you writers for that 😌🥰)

The Flower Festival, a well-known staple in the small town of Edgewater. Every year, on the last weekend in September, botanist enthusiast from all around the state come to show off their prized flowers. They are displayed on the street for the community’s viewing pleasure and to be purchased. Other booths are also erected for community bonding as well as to raise money for charity.
All flowers used for games and fun are provided for by The Secret Garden, so be sure to send them your love.
There will be a parade, arches and just about any flowery creation that comes to mind.
Entertainment will be provided for grown-ups and the littles alike. There will be drinks, food, and music while children can play in the decorated town’s center under the watchful eye of their parents. There is, of course, the Sweetheart Booth where you can leave an anonymous (or not!) request for a flower bouquet arrangement to be sent to your sweetheart or potential sweetheart.
We will also be posting a fun little gift and surprise for all members in the group the night before the event begins!
This event will take place September 25th-27th in game time. However, it will run for a week (September 25th-Octorber 1st) so that threads can be fully played out.
We are excited and hope everyone will have fun! :)
THINGS TO DO –
Leave an anonymous flower bouquet that would be delivered to the person requested.
Take a date to the hay bale maze - a screening of  'Casablanca’ will be had after sunset in the center (bring your own blanket).
