I'm going to start making a list of people who I know are still taking sponsorship money from BetterHelp because at this point I can't believe that people are ignorant about them.

It's a very well known scam who actually has a negative effect on the people who are using it because they're at their most vulnerable. If I see a modern video with this sponsor I'm going to assume that the people who's taking the sponsor knows but doesn't care how much it harms the people who uses it.

This is mostly a list to remind myself not to watch these Youtubers again if I come across a video that seems interesting by them. I'm sure others would appreciate the heads-up. I'm sure I'll be adding to this list and I'm sure that I'll be adding other infamously harmful sponsorships when I see them.

Like… in my opinion this is straight up one of the most wholesome and best descriptions of what a partnership should be; I specifically copied it from the transcript because it also applies to non-romantic relationships. It’s not specific to any one type of relationship dynamic other than commitment being a factor in the partnership.

Especially since it came from a real person (or blogging persona) instead of a fictional character who was scripted. Watching multiple of RSlash’s videos around husbands, marriages, etc. it’s very obvious and very tangible he really feels strongly about what a good partner should be. How a good partner should act.

So I’d like to think this isn’t some amatonormative perspective or even allonormative perspective but simply a man saying “this is what a good, lasting, healthy committed relationship needs” and that sentiment can apply to platonic relationships as much as to romantic or sexual ones.
