New and improved Carla!!
Told you I'd get around to making a proper paper doll of her. Found the pins I needed she's fully posable.
Her design is based off her in-game visuals with my own flare.

I made a little Carla. Those little metal thingies were improvised since the paper fasteners were too big for it. And then I didn't have the tools to properly use the wire. And I don't have any glue so it's head hangs weird...
There it is, next to the whiteboard to remember me to do my Excel lessons I guess.
Also there's a little Totoro behind it that a friend gave me.

Thinking abt this tweet from the Dr. Habit twitter:
[ID: Tweet from @ DrHabit reading: “My fingers are so sharp, why?” with some typos. End ID.]
(Describing images as I post them here) Here’s Habit’s sprite from the game. All of his game sprites have these big garden-claw hands:
Including the shadow sprite.
Some characters, like Borbra and Trencil (pictured) have defined sharp nails, but not just the fingertips.
Nearly every character with visible hands either has blunt nails or no visible nails at all, with two exceptions: Jerafina and Lulia. They both have pointy fingertips but no defined nails.
Lulia’s hand:
Jerafina’s hand:
(It’s also worth noting, tho I didn’t want to stretch this more than I had to, that some characters have varying numbers of fingers at times. Like, Ronbo literally has 3 or 4 fingers depending on the sprite; Trencil has mix-n-match in his end slide too. So some of it is just gonna be cartoon logic based from moment to moment.)
Jerafina and Lulia both have much smaller hands, though. Still interesting.
Some other stuff worth noting:
Young Boris in the slideshow has rounded fingertips here:
(This is the only slide that shows his hands.)
The little animated Lil Habby’s/Pabits from the tutorial and from the advertisement just have little nubs for hands, but the actual puppet has round fingers.
Also, all of the graffiti Habits (I think, it’s a lil harder to hunt down) have rounded or flat fingertips:
All of Habit’s self-portraits lacking something he later tweets about has interesting implications. Could just be cartoon logic, but who knows.
Addendum: The artbook has some interesting tidbits too:
The main Habit design only got sharp fingertips (from what’s in the artbook) around when they settled on his final look, with one or two still rounded.
Bb!Habit design in the artbook also has round fingers. Does that imply it’s something that happened to him over time?
One of the final spreads in the artbook shows definition for Jerafina’s fingernails.

Day 3 - Puzzle🧩 - for @smileformeweek
Testing the waters for making my own posable paper doll of Carla. Don't quite have the right pins, so for now I was messing with sizing and paper thickness.
This little one can be a desk decoration for now.

Wanted to share my entry for the Smile for me: Turning Over A New Leaf zine! Celebrating sfm’s anniversary and Snapcube’s walk-through of the game, which is how I was introduced to it.
This game and Penny’s walk-through hold such a monumental place in my heart, and drawing this was so much fun!
There’s any wonderful pieces in the zine, so be sure to check it out at @lbzines!
