It’s Daily D season, which means y’all should be playing outside when you can!! —- The problem is not natural sunlight or some SPF lotion deficiency, but rather what you put inside your body that most determines your susceptibility to skin cancer and wrinkles- Nora Gedgaudas ——- SPF, which stands for sun protection factor, Is a measure of how much UV radiation is required to produce sunburn on protected skin a.k.a. when sunscreen is present... It basically measures how well a sunscreen can protect you from UVB rays… however, SPF 30 Reduces your ability to make vitamin D in your skin by up to 90% —— Believe it or not, you don’t need much more than SPF 20. SPF sunscreen lotions stop natural vitamin D production and may actually make you more susceptible- not less- to various skin cancers, including melanoma ——- Many of the sunscreen lotions we are buying use a base made of Omega 6 oils (which have a higher likely-hood of going rancid) and they are made with many toxic and carcinogenic chemicals that ultimately block sunlight and the production of Vitamin D ——- Malignant melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, has been associated with Vitamin D deficiency. The only people genuinely benefitting from sunscreens in this world are the ones who sell them —— Soak up the D....You should aim to expose 70 percent of your body for a good 20 minutes a day without any sunscreen to enhance your body’s ability to make its own Vitamin D. No joke, #Beautycounter has the best and safest sunscreen on the market and now it comes TINTED! You heard that right. Can you say *airbrushed* legs!? I I gotta be honest and say.. I used to love the Sally Hansen airbrush legs until I found out how bad the ingredients are for my body. . I couldn’t bear to use it again once I was armed with information.
