So many genuinely touching animatics for this one but its also a very interpretable song because of how it chooses to use its metaphor so you get a real broad spectrum of animatics for this one. Usually focusing on some sort of odd couple dynamic, aka the singer and the 'lemon boy

Down the Rabbit Hole- Chapter 2

Fandom- Angels of Death, Satsuriku No Tenshi

Ships- Zack Foster x Original Female Character

Warnings- Poisoning

Summary- Robin Reyes is a fucked up girl, from a young age she was molested by doctors and sometimes her mother's boyfriend. With her mother's abuse getting worse and worse the girl snaps and kills them both. While on the run she gets approached by a group of people claiming they know a place where people like her could kill, legally. All she needed to do was follow the rules.

When Robin meets Rachel she realises that she wants to try her hand at a normal life despite how abnormal she is and when she meets Zack they gradually warm up to each other until she realises who she wants that normal life with.

Word Count- 1157

-Rachel-

The small blonde girl steps into the elevator with shaky, uncertain steps. Her hands trembling erratically as she grips her sleeves tightly in fists.

What is this play-area? Why did the notion of such an ordinary thing terrify her so much? The elevator doors close behind her with a loud bang, causing her to jump fearfully, and then, up she went.

The elevator eventually stops and the doors open. Rachel's eyes widened in awe. The sight that greeted her was stunning.

Large and vibrant flowers with faces line the cobbled path in front of her. Swirls of paint colored the walls with a few little doodles pinned up here and there. She gingerly steps onto the path and begins walking along it. Glowing mushrooms, all of which taller than she, stood overhead and hung off of starry blue trees that also radiated light.

"It seems like everything here glows.” She murmured to herself.

"What the?” She frowned. “Whats this?" The young blonde turned her attention from the sight in front of her. A small, rusty key made of copper swirls hanging whimsically off of a low branch of a nearby tree. The girl looked at the innocent object suspiciously.

I might need it later. "I think I'll take that..." She grabs the gleaming key on the string and hangs it around her neck.

--Acquired A Key.--

Rustling was heard from the bushes next to her, then followed by a quiet giggle.

Curiosity getting the best of her, the blonde decides to follow these sounds. She cautiously steps towards the sound. On the floor behind the bush where the sound has come from was a small piece of parchment with the words 'Follow Me.' written on it in a gorgeous teal color forming a loopy cursive scrawl, in the corner lay an intricate drawing of Alice from Alice in Wonderland.

An iconic blonde haired and blue eyed girl stood in a baby blue dress and an inky black headband. Her doe eyes stared back at Ray innocently.

Ray folds the note back up and gently places it back in its place, on the floor, not feeling as if she needs it. She steered herself back onto the cobblestone path.

"Follow Me? But I don't know where that person is?" More giddy laughter is heard from ahead of her, this time it seems to be in the direction of a dense forest. Am I still even inside? Her thoughts were answered when on what she believed to be the horizon rested a clunky metal door. "I guess I am." She mutters.

The sound of her boots hitting the path continued until she reached the edge of the forest and another note. 'Not much further!~' was written on the piece this time and instead of Alice, it was a drawing of the white rabbit holding his gold pocket-watch.

"What does this mean? Do I keep walking into the forest?" Ray turned her gaze up to the dark, dead forest, high contrast to the bright glowing trees from before. The small girl sighs tiredly, at least she was stuck in a nice looking place and wasn't being chased by a Serial killer. Haha.

The girl did the same thing as last time, folding it up and placing it where she found it, continuing on with her wandering. She walked through the dense looking forest, however, it was much smaller than she thought.

There were only 4 layers of trees before she came to a clearing, in the middle of it sat a long mahogany table, filled with sweet smelling cakes of all kinds, empty teacups, and many sweetbreads ranging from plain brioches to brightly colored swirled bread dusted in sugar. All of which laid on a checkered black and white tablecloth laid neatly on the table. Six chairs surrounded the table, with hand-knitted dolls filling four of the spaces.

There was a small human doll, presumably, the Mad Hatter sat at the head of the table, to its left was: The Dormouse and the March Hare.

On the Hatter's right sat a real girl sipping daintily on some tea, maybe around 18 or 19 dressed in an Alice inspired dress with a Black bow on her head, the seat next to her was empty. Finally, the seat opposite the hatter was filled by a knitted white rabbit.

"Oh! I'm so glad you could join us!” The girl exclaims. “You're just in time for tea!" She stands up quickly, she is taller than Rachel thought, standing at about 5 foot 6.

"Please, sit.” She invited kindly. “Which tea would you like? We have Ginger, Chamomile, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Earl Grey, Hibiscus, Mint, Pumpkin which is my personal favourite, and Raspberry." The woman lists the words tumbling out of her mouth too quickly for Ray to understand her.

"U-Um,” She stammered, taken by surprise,”may I just have the Vanilla please?" She asks politely, taking a seat next to the mystery woman, she gets a better look at her.

She was definitely late teens, she had dirty blonde hair which reached her waist, her skin was sickly pale and she seemed to be very slim under the copious amounts of ruffles that adorned her dress. Though the oddest thing about her, despite her strange get up, were her eyes. They were a rich shade of chocolate brown before changing abruptly around her pupils to sharp green, the dark colours surrounding it, making the lighter color stand out even more.

"Here you go," The woman hands Rachel a delicate lavender teacup. "Drink it all up, I don't have many visitors you see, and I pride myself in my tea-making skills." She states, smiling oddly. But Ray simply nods her head and takes a small sip of the tea, the rich aroma of vanilla filling her senses.

"Excuse me, ma'am. What's your na--"

"Well? What do you think of the tea?" The woman interrupted abruptly, her unsettling eyes stared at her. She quirked up an eyebrow expectantly as Ray struggled for words yet again.

"I- Um, It's good, miss." Ray says nervously, not wishing to offend the kind woman, she quickly finishes her sweet smelling drink and places the cup and the saucer back onto the checkered tablecloth.

“That's good to hear. Now, I need you to do something for me, you see. Each of my friends here is missing something quite important to them. I need you to get them for me, however, you only have 30 minutes to find them all." The woman stands from her seat, gesturing broadly to each of the knitted plushies.

"And if I can't do it...?" The woman shrugged nonchalantly, a little smile creeping onto her face.

"Well, you'll die.” She stated matter of factly. “The tea you drank was laced with cyanide.” She said, as if she were simply asking the weather. “So I'd give you maybe.” The woman gave a thoughtful hum.

“30 minutes to live."
