Ok Stop! I want you ask yourself:
Does any of this looks real to you?…
Or does it in fact look more like a made up place in your brain?…
Hiding up here in your imagination is no way of dealing with bad friendship…

LADS WHAT THE FUCK OH MY GOD. Okay so this post will really only come as a shock to the very small number of people who are in both the DHMIS and BBC Ghosts fandoms but did you know that Kiell Smith-Bynoe who plays Mike in Ghosts also plays Saturdavid in DHMIS???????????????? Like what??? He sounds completely different as Saturdavid compared to his normal voice I would never have guessed that in a million years.
THESE TWO ARE THE SAME MF????

So, someone named "Warren the Eagle" on the bird app commented this in the post where the worm's wings are ripped off.
I wanted to respond him but you know what? I think it's better if they do it 🦷🪁😳
This was just an excuse to draw them, really.

“i might not be your real son, but i remember him”
no because saturdavid??? why has no one addressed this to my knowledge???
he’s clearly a kid and doesn’t have a face anymore, and he’s in yellow guy’s brain (who supposedly remembers david’s death from the transportation dream)
so uh, did david die on a saturday while chasing a kite onto the road or

I know this part is meant for a laugh, but I can't help but think that Yellow Guy stumbled for a reason. He seems quite taken aback by the line "even a worm has a worm in their brain" and the reappearance of his Brain Friends. If the metaphor is that worms are nagging doubts or flaws, then one has to wonder what that means for Yellow Guy.
The Shy Older Brother makes a irl appearance, which I think represents how real Yellow Guy's Brain Friends feel to him, similarly to how his "other self" appears in his reflection occasionally.
On a further note, I think that Yellow Guy is momentarily overwhelmed by the complexities of his Brain Friends, and by extension himself in these scenes.
So, what does each Brain Friend represent within Yellow Guy?
First Tooth represents a loss of Yellow Guy's innocence, specifically in losing one's first baby tooth. I think this is representated by her flirty behaviour, and "being in Yellow Guy's heart." She likes to compliment Yellow Guy, alongside a wink, and tries to impress him with her smile. I think this is more in an innocent sense, but I have to wonder if she is meant to mimic a "Special One."
Yumpherdinker is the natural creativity that Yellow Guy has. Unfortunately, his creativity is often met with scorn by the others, leaving him suppressing it in the form of his Brain Friend. She isn't as developed as the others in terms of personality, because his creativity isn't a part of himself that he showcases or uses very often. She has many eyes, because he wants his creatvity to be seen.
Bubble Bath Memory is the most laid back out of the bunch, which makes sense considering the relaxing nature of baths. I think she's the part of Yellow Guy that can "go with the flow" and adapt, and come up with solutions on the spot for social issues. When Warren is trying to push his podcast, turning off the music, she helpfully suggests that they hum a tune to lighten the mood.
SaturDavid noticeably has David in his name, which makes me wonder if he has to do with any potential lost memories from Yellow Guy. The day Saturday seems significant for some odd reason, which makes me wonder if it was a day of a major event. He seems to be the unofficial leader, as he is the most mature, wise, outspoken, and honest one out of the bunch.
Lastly, Shy Older Brother is an supportive role model for Yellow Guy, but he also is the most passive. He is so kind that he refuses to say no to Warren when he pesters him about his podcast, opting to escape in the worst way than commit a social faux pas. I think he represents just how important kindness is to Yellow Guy, to the point where he idealizes it.
Overall, what are the worms in the Brain Friend's brain? Is it the fact that they're inherently escapist in their creation, or do they have flaws that represent something far greater within the mind of Yellow Guy?
