Not to say that he has abandoned battling—he is also an Elite Four Member specializing in Dark types, renowned as one of the strongest in Galar.

Arthur and his siblings were orphaned after their parents' tragic death at sea, leaving their eldest brother, Scott, to care for them. Despite their affluent lifestyle in an opulent manor, the family chose not to touch their inheritance, leaving Arthur with only hand-me-downs and a sense of being overshadowed. This fueled him to become a Pokemon trainer, as he saw it as the quickest way to put his name on the map and accomplish something outside of his brothers. Arthur joined the Allies' traveling group with this goal, but after their adventures, he realized battling wasn't his true calling and turned to documenting his journey in writing, focusing on Pokémon history and mythology at the Astral Institute. He is a longtime rival of Francis Bonnefoy, who has been his friend since childhood after the latter had saved him from drowning. Despite their fierce rivalry, they are inseparable. They have always been together in everything, so Arthur's temper is worsened whenever they are separated.

Aye aye, my Captain!

This is the final product of a whole story @greengreekeyes25 and myself did during all these months. We did so many Pirates AU's by now, I think all that energy and ideas deserve a good final tribute. And this is mine (the wip is here if you are curious.)

I wanted to take a break of commissions and to practice more this "realistic painting" style. By the way, they were based on rl pirates, the poses are from two anonimous individuals and they were perfect for each one's attitude.

About the story:

Arthur (James) Kirkland is called the Tiger of The Seven Oceans, because he's a ferocious, scared and invincible captain, very well respected in the pirate community. The nickname came because when they were younger, he made a bet with his twins siblings (the Irelands) about each victory for them would be marked on his body as a tattoo. The result is, in the end, he fulled his shoulders and arms, so his older brother (Scott) told him he looked like a malasian tiger.

Pirates had their vanity; when they were immotalized in paitings and portraits they used their best clothing and weapons. This composition is inspired in real pirate paintings, so it is a mix of the fandom looking and real ones. The green stripes in the red coat represent the marks of the tiger (in green because they're tiny emeralds). They're the same shape as in his body. And the green pins in the chest are each captain he decapitated.

Colors were chosen for Greek, and they make a good contrast about energies and the elements each one have; Port is more an explorer and teacher, apparently calmer, and England is more aggresive and direct. The pose and the way of looking mark that too.

We had a matelotage, a legal marriage between pirates - that's why the gold rings. And this is the only historical register of how they looked; this was painted the same day of the famous "weeding", in which there were present remarkable pirates such as Francis (Corsaire l' Terror of Le Havre ) , Sadiq and Yao ("The Kings of the East" / muluk alsharq / Dōngfāng zhī wáng ) and Antonio ("El León de la Iberia"). Big good party.

How the couple met? What happened with them? it's a mistery. You can find them in a museum )?

It's the said that a lot of pirates tought that love was no real, and it was all a big performance to ensure their names; but others were there and testifed the union: two lines remembered in the chronicles of that time: "My heart is in your hands now, love of mine." " Then I will keep it with me forever." ... But maybe it's a tale.

The couple and their love was legendary, beyond their pirate actions. They were the best example of partners, friends and lovers. Arthur was known as a very harsh person, brutal and mean; but with Gabriel he was the kindest lad in the sea.

Manc hetalia fan here, I think he's either Cornish, manc/Liverpudlian or a Yorkie because no way is that man a Londoner Tory (sorry if you support them, I really don't and don't think he would because of his punk phase)

I really do love Mancunian Arthur! I find him to be a very cool character, mancs are incredibly cool people. He could also be Northern mainly because of his last name: Kirkland. Kirk meaning church in northern english or scotts which comes from the old norse word 'kirkja' and last names had been introduced to the UK in the 11th century by Norman Barons after the Norman Conquest which meant he was definitely alive when people started to have last names so he (including his brothers) could've possibly been part of the church at the time or they simply chose that name as if it were an online username lmao. I just think it's a pretty interesting surname to have since he does feel conflicted alot about being either protestant or catholic later in his life.

By the way, it's against my code to shade anyone's depiction of England but Londoner Tory is the exception. Not only because I don't like tories but I just find him to be REALLY boring and decided on a whim to make it look like he has opinions. I'm also just not very keen on southeastern Arthur in general, though he would very likely live in the southeast for the longest time — Possibly for convenience or preference — I believe him to be the kind of guy whom loves to travel so it's plausible he would've stayed here and there around the country. Unfortunately though, I have to disagree with you about him not being a tory because he had a punk phase as he strikes me as someone whose (political) views would be pretty inconsistent. Arthur not being a tory and having a punk phase is obviously cool! Him not being a tory just because he had a punk phase makes me a little iffy if I have to be honest. I think it'd be a story if he went from tory to punk though — a complete 180 lmao.

But to be fair, I actually do like the more conservative or immoral Arthur for he is fun to draw and write about. He could also be incredibly useful in stories like that one AU I had about England obsessing falling in love with his own reflection and objectifying himself yet he is awfully lgbtqphobic, misogynistic and creepy overall. Or England in my other AU being a total cunt towards some of the countries and acting like a massive arse-licker towards America (even if he did wrong) which would anger America when England's clone starts to disagree with him.

I'd find Arthur to be completely boring if he always had the exact same views and morals as me. Generally, I see him as very far from a nice man, he could be a villain but he's tragically romanticized at times whether it's his appearance or behaviour; whether he's romanticising himself or it's other people seeing him in rose tinted glasses — which some people do make him out to be this cute guy that does no wrong — just like how people see a country. I also really love linking my headcanons with facts and logical reason so Cornish Arthur seems like the most plausible headcanon to me. I do intend to explain this further in another post since this is getting very long and I've already went off topic a bit here :')

Wellness Wednesday:

Looking to Finish Strong

I, for the most part, completed my main objectives and goals for the year - but by some strange test of fate I could slip up.

So...

For the next 4ish weeks (26 Days - 4 more posts) my plan is to be easy going, but mindful of diet and exercise routine. With widely surpassing my objectives I could tank/skip my workouts or diet and still come out on top of my goals, but I would like to end on the highest note possible - I would like my last weight to be the lowest I've ever weighed AND I would like to be able to say 100% confidence that I went a whole year without a chip, slice of pizza, or an ice cream cone - let alone a single order of take out.

As well - I would be excited to see my final stats on my exercises. To my current knowledge I think I have only missed 3 or 4 workouts - that's 3 or 4 days out of the last 340 days. I'd like to keep that stat below 5 for the remainder of the year if I could... again... for gloating purposes (don't worry... I have no friends so this sentiment probably won't leave the sanctuary of this post - gloating averted).

Closing Thoughts:

The Good:

I decided to simply my workout - and I am still seeing the same/positive results with the simpler workout. That extra stuff I did in November was unnecessary.

The Bad:

It's that time of year where the air is dry and my sinuses and unobstructed breathing is collateral damage.

The Ugly:

My sleep schedule has been trash since my Thanksgiving Break/Vacation. Feel like a walking zombie. There times where I have passed out in the middle of the day.
