New headcanon where Zedaph owns and (vaguely) knows how to use a scythe he manifested during his time as Zedeath. He’s only ever had to use it twice. Tango can attest to being there once and he describes it as having been a ‘terrifying’ experience, but nobody knows when the other time was and Zed won’t tell. Sure, it’s not the most effective weapon, but it looks pretty cool and Zed has never been one to let inefficiency get in his way. He’s recently begun bringing it with him for protection during the war, though he’s not very happy about it; he’d been using it as a (very adequate) coat hanger and now his base is getting kind of messy with all his coats lying around…

Alright everyone, hey how are ya?

So…What to do with this blog? Scythe has been a special interest of mine for a while and it means a lot to me

But with Neal not giving two shits about Palestine you have to make a decision about these things.

And I’ve made a decision, I will not be active in the scythe fandom, and will be leaving this blog. Not forever of course, I would definitely like to come back but for right now what Neal is doing is very wrong and if his supporters leave we may be able to do something.

We’ve already bought the books but that doesn’t mean we can’t do anything, don’t support future releases and SPAM THAT FUCKERS INBOX, make sure he knows we’re not happy and maybe he’ll make a statement or maybe not it still will do SOMETHING and that’s better than nothing

If you do keen posting about scythe however, I understand, just make sure to equally post about Palestine, it’s the least you can do!

I will be posting my remaining drafts of the Scythe rereads and other posts though keep in mind they are unfinished so they might not be as good as the others.

one thing that's always bothered me in aoas is how 'pretty' and 'ugly' people are both protected, but divided groups. (you can get sanctioned for gleaning too many 'ugly' people, or vice versa)

that's ridiculous. you cannot measure beauty like you can with where you're from or what blood is in you, how dark skinned you are or your height. of course, height and darkness are relative to the current state of humanity, but even if you apply this to beauty, it doesn't work. It's so so subjective. there is no capital B Beauty

im just wondering how this is sorted now lol. is there a sorting committee?? does the thunderhead sort them (id imagine itd feel shitty doing so)? oh my gosh, imagine if xenocrates decided...😭😭

sorting people by beauty is such a perfect recipe for the kind of distortion of 'genocide' we see from goddard in the Toll!!! someone could easily only glean people they deem ugly and just be able to go 'but half of them are in the pretty category! :(((' why didnt the scythedom think of this?!?!?!

hello i just finished reading the entire arc of a scythe series in less than a week holy fuck i am experiencing whiplash from the ending of the toll and thunderhead. i don't have words but omg tbh they're pretty good endings for both books, woah. and the ending of the toll!! imo that might just be the best possible ending for the series, woahhh

odasaku was always wearing a bunch of bright, colorful bracelets that his kids made for him out of beads and/or thread. they were usually tattered and barely hanging on by a thread or two, but everytime he was given one, he would keep it on his wrist until it fell apart completely.

scythe has a very specific cadence and growl to his voice that makes him very distinct and recognizable.
