#i only know of so many mannerisms... #i only have a finite number of symptom descriptions to draw from... #trying so hard to not feel like i'm just repeating myself but #somehow this latest chapter is proving to be v difficult to write #semi unrelated but #even after spending 3 years getting a minor in creative writing i somehow cannot approach revision in #a normal way... having to go into a scene to add more and rearrange things then having the evaluate whether the end result still flows is #excruciating to me and i more often than not skimp out on that process entirely by just rewriting a scene from scratch instead of properly #doing revision 😭 but i do not have the energy to rewrite all of chapter 3 so #let's see

new Aizawa headcanon/plot idea

One of the many, many things that has long made Aizawa so very, very tired is that, since the days covered in Vigilantes, he has always made time to visit a handful of folks in his old neighborhood, folks with quirks that cause them constant suffering

(Although the revelations about Kurogiri have softened his stance on this, one reason why he is not as patient with villains as some is that he knows there are so many people resisting the beastlier sides of their natures, people trying to live the best lives they can in the margins and shadows, people who are losers in the great quirk lottery of life and have every right to rage...but don't.)

The one he worries about most is an older lady with a difficult-to-control Empathy quirk that forces her to feel the feelings of every single person she encounters. The research he did as a young man suggested that most people who have this type of Empathy quirk do not come to happy ends. He hopes the good people he still keeps up with in the neighborhood are checking on her.

The first time he visited her, he'd told Koichi to instruct her to sit by an open window (he might not have known how to deal with his emotional baggage, but he at least knew he had it, so he wasn't going to dare get near her). From a distance, he watched her start crying tears of joy when he shut her quirk off and then he watched for as long as he could as she nodded off into a restful sleep. The next day, Koichi had found him to convey her thanks. Aizawa didn't know what to say then, and he didn't know what to say now. He hadn't earned Erasure as some reward for being a decent guy or because he had had a burning desire to help others. It was just part of him, and he used it. Was that really worthy of thanks? It's a shame that Twice wasn't on their side...he would love to be able to send clones of himself to provide relief to anyone who needed it. Aizawa knows his first duties are to 1-A, to Eri, to defeating the LoV, but it kills him to know that his "folks" are once again falling through the cracks, suffering because they're just regular people, and he's got to handle the so-called bigger things. Their faces have joined Crust's in his mind as he struggles to sleep. Without him, there isn't even a little relief for them. Even worse, a thought that had, of course, occurred to him before--and been summarily dismissed--keeps on gnawing at him and refusing to go away:

(obviously there's a lot of Aizawa fic out there in the world and there are, of course, no truly new ideas under the sun...I've never seen something precisely along these lines before, but that doesn't really mean much, so if there is something out there like this, please let me know so I can revise this post with the rec, thanks!)

Hello praying people, I'm not doing well and would really appreciate your prayers right now <3

#long very boring and unnecessarily detailed tag monologue incoming‚ feel free to skip: #this is going to sound like a silly thing to be hitting rock bottom over #but i’m fairly certain i have a semi-rare skin condition known as sensitive skin syndrome #which is basically where skin gets progressively more sensitive #until it won’t tolerate the topical application of anything at all without getting irritated #usually it happens to people on the skin of their face and i have it there but i also specifically have it on my lips #(which apparently is extremely not normal; i found a dermatologist’s case study from like 2019 of one woman who had it on her lips #and according to this case study there were no other cases of people having it on their lips #in all the dermatological literature he had read) #i can’t follow the protocol which all the journal articles i’ve been able to find say is helpful for the rest of the face which is basicall #leave the area the heck alone for at least a year #because if i don’t apply anything to my lips for more than two or three days they will get so dry they crack and bleed #so it’s looking like one way or another i may be having to deal with dry burning irritated lips for the rest of my life #and i’m not dealing with the thought of that very well #i’ve already suffered so much anguish from extreme sensitivity on the rest of my face #and not being able to take proper care of the skin there #and this is just too much for me #i know God is allowing this for a reason but it’s filling me with so much frustration and panic and despair that i don’t know how to go on #but i must and i will #this isn’t a serious or a life-threatening condition but it’s looking like a pretty hopeless one and it’s hurting me badly #and i would appreciate prayers that it would just be healed or that i would know what to do #i think i will try going to my dermatologist but somehow i doubt she's even heard of sensitive skin syndrome #on a COMPLETELY unrelated note i'm just about to get my period and also for two days i've ''eaten'' nothing but vegetable smoothies #and those in pretty small amounts because they're disgusting #(do a detox my hormonal health doctor said) #(it'll be fun she said) #ok if you read this far you're so brave braver than any u.s. marine etc. #thanks for reading ily <3
