Is the fruit ask meme still on? :) pomegranate, peach, papaya, blueberry?

sure, why not?

pomegranate: i feel most confident when dressed head to toe in black. (and black eyeliner doesn’t hurt, though i’m usually too lazy for makeup lately)

peach: i’m not big on piercings for myself, though my ears are pierced. no tattoos yet, but my first tattoo when i finally decide to do it will be a spray of Cecile Brunner roses. (and i’ve also kind of always wanted one of Proginoskes)

papaya: what song describes my aesthetic? oh dear… i’m not good at this. perhaps Batwings: a limnal hymn by Coil… it’s silver and gold and moonlight and night and lovely weird sounds and holy-sounding vocals.

blueberry: i always intend to dress up for Halloween, and then i always either end up having to work or forgetting to put a costume together in time. the last thing i dressed up as was Death of the Endless from the Sandman books.

It is seriously taking every last ounce of my self-control not to read ahead in To The Sticking Place by @blueink3​. I’m a theater nerd, but I put off reading it, hesitant to explore AUs (and yet “our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt,” Measure for Measure, I.iv).

Now, however, I get to enjoy this fucking stellar story for the first time by listening to the podfic by @lockedinjohnlock-podfics each day. It’s hitting all of my pleasure centers (Johnlock! Shakespeare! The thrill of the rehearsal process!), although the cliff-hangers at the end of each chapter are KILLING me.

Anyway, I highly recommend it. The writing is excellent, the characterizations are spot-on (as are the Shakespeare quotations at the beginning of each chapter -- I knew blueink3 was good, but this is, like, next-level), plus I’ve already gushed at length about how much I adore lockedinjohnlock’s voice. As if all that weren’t enough, the cover art by @septemberlight13​ is gorgeous.

Don’t be a fool -- check it out.

Passion fruit, cherry, water melon, star fruit? (I want to ask you all, actually:)))

passion fruit: (describe my (artistic) style) i like my work best when it’s both realistic and expressive, elegant and crude, when my marks and lines stand out in some places but fade into the subject in others. i like realism where i can also see my hand. 

cherry: i once could play some easy classical guitar… i would like to again but i need a guitar. i sing gloriously but only in the car by myself :)

watermelon: i work in a bookstore… my job title would be bookseller or cashier or both.

star fruit: i love moon jellies, they’re so beautiful.. and i love everything about octopuses. i love sea creatures in general so it’s hard to choose.
