Pot of Gold! 🍯🪙⚱️ Summer is heating up, and I’ve been busy making things…although not what one would typically expect. 🗿🪡🧲 The little sprout scrub was made for fun, and utilized tin foil, wire, clay, paint, and leftover faux-liage from my killer plants last Halloween. 🌱🧚🏽‍♂️🌱 The bunnies were created initially for a bunny catching game I wanted to make for my nephews, but realizing that attaching the reasonably weighted carrot to a stick with string would be less of a fishing rod and more of a flail for a 2 and 6 year old. So instead, just a stuffed bunny that will leap for a magnetic carrot. 🧲🥕🐰 As for the octopus…well, it came about after a lot more sewing for a different (secret) project. Finding sewing to be meditative, I wanted to see if I could try something a little more complex and three dimensional - so I did a couple sketches, drew a pattern in illustrator, and sewed up a small sea buddy! ✍️🪡🐙 Anyways…more to come later! I have been thinking about getting a wool coat ,knew I didn’t want black but wasn’t sure what colour I wanted I saw a lady wearing a bright pink one in town last week,then happened to pop into a charity shop and spotted a bright pink 100 % wool coat in my size for £5.99 , I didn’t like the buttons they made the coat look frumpy . The coat is dry clean only so I washed it on a low temp wool cycle in the machine and radiator dried it.
