So I may have had a tier 5 girl moment today (broke down crying) because I'm writing a fic and. Eventually I'm going to have to write her going back to school and dealing with Inclusive tm school classes. And that just sucks.

Like, this things in America? So I had to do research on how America does its special Ed system and so on. And there's so many studiees- from America, Britain, and Australia, about how Good and Brilliant inclusive classrooms are.

But like. Some of my worst years in school were when I was mainstream and "included". Some of my best were when I was able to take learning access (townsvilles euphemistic way of saying special education) classes. Like, if you're struggling to make friends with normal kids, but can make friends with kids who are like you. Then you get punished for it? That's just throwing us to the sharks. May as well throw some chum in on top of us imo.

(If you can't tell, I got thrown to the sharks. So did my brother. So did so many of my friends...)

And I can't help but wonder. Did any of the people arguing for inclusion above all else talk to disabled people? Or is it just disability mummies, and teachers who want brownie points, and government fuckers who want to be so pc that they forget to include the people they're trying to protect?

Getting away from my frayed nerves and back to the fic- i want it to be accurate. But I also want it to be fun. And not make me cry pls pls pls. So I don't know what to do. I don't want to write her struggling in pe class with her new disability. I want to write her in a class like what I had (outdoor rec.) But that doesn't seem realistic. But it'd be funner. So much funner.

I want to write a deranged Hunger Games au where Finnick, Johanna and Katniss are all roommates. Finnick sometimes retires to The Bath in the same way that Victorian ladies would retire To Bed and stays in their for hours playing sadboi songs while Katniss is breaking down the door yelling about how she needs to pee and Johanna is pissing in the sink like an animal. "He's just a very friendly boy who wears a suit." "THEN WHY DOES HE KEEP POPPING ROUND?" howls Katniss. Mags lives on the top floor and grows the most potent weed known to mankind, which Johanna smokes constantly. When she gets the munches she chews furniture like an animal. Sometimes Prim takes time out of med school to pop over and cook them 'real food' with 'actual vegetables' in because she's the only one who can make broccoli taste of something other than sadness (it's called using seasoning Katniss you can look this up online) but otherwise they exist solely on poptarts and oysters that Finnick steals from his job in a high-end restaurant. None of them have ever paid taxes. Plutarch is their landlord and Johanna makes up 8 plans to murder him a day. These are not sophisticated plans. I'm talking "When he walks in the door, I hit him with my axe." Haymitch used to be a champion shotputter but then he got caught up in a Tonya Harding style controversy and now he day-drinks on the roof all the time. Katniss has to let him inside like he's a naughty cat (the door sticks because Johanna chewed on it). Do you see my vision?

Aw thank you!! I’ve sketched out some fWhips but I’m still looking for a goblin design that sparks joy. I’m really fond of the ones where he’s got huge eyes, but I struggle with rendering cartoony characters bc I’m always thinking about their skulls—I think I’m gonna have to design him from the skeleton up. Might give him a more catlike skull or something just so it makes sense to me. 🤔

As for Sausage, don’t you worry about that. You’ll be seeing plenty of that character from me soon enough… 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀

“You know, it’s hilarious how women never have a shortage of opinions - informed or not, it doesn’t even matter - and are constantly criticizing and judging but the minute a man questions a publication dedicated to showing bodies which exemplify athleticism that now have the antithesis of that, oh no, it’s just so misogynistic!”

I detect butthurt and oh-so-subtle jabs: ”never shortage of opinions”, ”informed or not”, ”bodies which exemplify athleticism” 😂 - I was curious about it and looked up SI Swimsuit editions’ previous covers. Sorry asshat, until SI decided to be a tiny bit more diverse in the last couple of years, the bodies mostly exemplify skinny + T +A. Not that there’s anything wrong with it, not going to put other women down for their body type.

But I’m sick and tired AF of the monumental hypocrisy of judging women’s bodies by asshats, especially BIG women’s bodies.

Here are some very athletic women, and nobody is asking you, asshat, or Mr. Peterson for that matter, whether you consider them beautiful (personally, I do) or not. Nobody cares.

Dame Valarie Adams, Olympian

Valarie Adams is a now retired NZ star athlete and the world's best woman shotputter in the early 21st century. She's won 3 Olympic Medals (2 gold, 1 silver), 4 world championship titles, five diamond leave, and four Commonwealth medals (3 gold, 1 silver) She is now a Dame of the New Zealand Order of Merit.

Born in Rotorua, She grew up a shy, tall teen in the south of Auckland, NZ. She is part Tongan on her mother's side and part English on her father's, who had a total of 18 children with 5 women. She credits much of her values and strength to her mother, lost to her at 15, at the same age she won the World Youth Championship with a throw of 16.87m.

She made the woman shotput world record in 2011, at 21.24 meters.

Only one woman has placed higher under likely doping allegations. Natalya Lisovskaya of the Soviet Union threw 22.63 in 1987. Soviet athletes at the time were under a state-sponsored doping program. Doping continues to haunt Adams as her opponent in the 2012 Olympics Nadzeya Ostapchuk of Belarus (21.58m) also had the gold taken from her after confirmed drugging.

She said often she regretted her shyness as a child. Now she advocates for young Pasficia and women to embrace their potential. She loves her home in Tonga and talks of how she wants to inspire her community to compete as she did on the world stage.
