WITH PATRICK STEWART PLAYING PROFESSOR X AGAIN?!!? tell me im wrong. this is absolutely bonkers. who’s the x-men maniac on the writing staff i almost want to congratulate you for pulling off this absolute batshit nonsense. the psychic powers the fact that he’s changing in response to a spaceship emergency the fact that there’s another old entity inside him that’s bringing a darkness the fact that that power has been locked up inside him behind a door. the antagonist trying to explain and get him to unleash that power. the implication that whatever was incorrectly diagnosed as irumodic syndrome in picard’s brain was something similar and therefore retconning professor x i mean picard into having latent telepathic powers .... genuinely unhinged. this is literally so goddamn funny i cant even deal.

also im a cheap date and the scene between data and geordi had me tearing up. i will forgive a lot for those two. 

also also goddamn. ‘we dont always just get to make decisions that feel hunky dory. this has consequences beyond the immediate’ if i cared more about this season i would make a compilation gifset of all the times shaw was the only one talking any goddamn sense. congratulations on being the embodiment of ‘asshole has a point’
