El Nido- Snake Island: Another boat ride with Benji to the first stop of our island hopping tour, Snake Island, named for the snake-shaped sand bar created by two converging currents connecting 2 islands (we were relieved that THAT was the source of the name). We hiked to the summit to view the “snake,” then walked the sand bar to frolic and check out the other beach. Though it was partly cloudy, the weather was warm and balmy, but not punishing because the sun wasn’t beating down on us. With yesterday's airstrikes, the Russians tried to destroy their equipment, weapons and property on #SnakeIsland.
