Vent: So this is what I had been working on.. Um, Lately my anxiety has been horrible. Its gotten to the point where it gets really hard to breath. I also think it's getting the point where I am now terrified to talk to my friends and online friends. I know they have said that it's ok for me to talk to them but I feel like I can't. I feel that if I say something to them then they won't like me or something of the sorts. It does kinda tie in to why Wither, my persona looks like that. They don't talk at all because I am afraid to say anything that people don't like. It's also because not much people listen to me in real life and talk over me so I just endure it since now I am so used to it. The other day my sibling was rude but I don't know what happened but I became terrified of them. It lasted through the whole day. Another thing is that my body has been feeling numb most of the time as well as when really bad chest pains as well as stomach problems. I know that if I say anything to any family member, they will play if off. Me going to get checked out by the doctors, they said I over reacted and that I didn't need to go there. I was told that I have appendicitis and for it to not to be ignored but I know they will. I want to get help from actual professionals but I can't due to the situation and not having enough for it. The reasons why I used Inkres/Moon for this is because he's a character I came up with when things were really bad and when I was thinking of committing suicide. He's a huge comfort character and why I draw him so much as well as an angst character. Sorry about this but yeah just letting this out since I don't ever want to end up like either of my parents nor my siblings who take out their frustrations on people. sorry again

My Dear Agent (Ebino Bisuke): This one has bigger, kind, and protective seme and a cool, beautiful, and funny uke (not a kuudere, though). I not only enjoyed but laughed a lot, and the art is gorgeous so highly recommended! Can be read on INKR (or you can buy it from any place you can get TOKYOPOP titles).

Lullaby of the Dawn (Ichika Yuno): Another bigger, protective, puppy seme with a reserved/detatched, beautiful uke pairing with fantasy elements. I've only read the first volume so far but it's super emotional and beautiful inside and out! Can be read on Bookwalker (or any other place where you can get ShuCream titles).

Our Paradise (Greeneer): My last big & cute, puppy seme with reserved, beautiful uke recommendation that I'm nowadays going crazy over is Our Paradise. You won't regret giving this webtoon a chance! Not only the main characters, but their friend circles and the second couple we started to explore more in 2nd season are also fun & really interesting! And obviously, I need MOAR people to scream about it with me. Can be read for free with daily pass on Webtoon.

Just Love, The Monster (Tsukizuki Yoshi): This is a high school delinquent x honor student kind of story. Both MCs are headstrong and fight a lot obviously, but it was fun to read! It's in Futekiya's library, can be read with your subscription plan.

Total Submission (Tsushiko): This is another delinquent x honor student story with dom/sub element that I love! If you're okay with spicy BL and you love seeing hotheaded characters getting tamed by their sweet and kind senpai, this is for you. Available on Futekiya's subscription plan.

We Aren't Secure (Sojima Yuco): This title is an Omegaverse set in high school. MCs are childhood friends and the story has a bittersweet tone to it, and it's definitely nice to read characters who are on more equal terms in Omegaverse instead of an apparent power hierarchy in between. Available on Futekiya's subscription plan.

God is Probably Left-Handed (Mushiba): If you've read any of Mushiba's works before, you might know it takes time to warm up to their stories. They are full of surprises, wacky coincidences, and interesting characters that you don't usually see in BL. But these are the exact reasons why I love Mushiba's works so much, and they are quite unforgettable. God is Probably Left-Handed fits into only one of the criteria you're looking for (I won't mention what it is so I won't spoil the story) but I was sooo surprised the way the manga ended! If you're looking for something different to read, Mushiba is your artist. Highly recommended!

They're also relatively new characters! The dads are called Eugene and Gavus, and the kids are named Lucilla and Liberta (who are also twins). They come from AFK Arena.

Basically their deal is that Eugene and Gavus are from opposing sides who get stuck together, they find the twins who were created to be bio-weapons to fight against the gods from ancient times, they instead steal the kids, forsake their own sides, and go start a family in the woods. They eventually got found and were locked up as traitors while the twins get separated and have their memories locked away. Until 10 years later the twins find eachother again and regain all their memories, and then they in turn go off to rescue their dads so they can be a family again.

You don't have to download the game though, there's a video from DangerGrey that goes into way more detail about the family and probably explains a lot better than me on youtube.

They also have a comic called "The Chains of The Covenant"! It's on INKR and it's free to read, it's still being updated at this moment though.

In the game itself: a few months ago only the kids were released, the dads were first mentioned via a diary one of them wrote and showed up in flashbacks in the War of Truth event. And then a month ago the dads' designs were leaked before being officially announced. They're in the game now, though they're called "friends" because it's a Chinese game so they gotta censor it, bleh. Doesn't mean their interactions aren't any less gay, they're still very much gay.

And I believe that’s all I want to say about them! tldr: I love this family very much and they've ruined my brain.

listen I am fundamentally against monopolies but I’m so. why do I have to juggle 4 different sites to buy and read manga that aren’t available for purchase anywhere else. started out on kobo because surely the goal of publishers would be to make ebooks available as widely as possible. but they aren’t even releasing ebooks. they’re releasing chapters (WITHOUT THE TANKŌBON EXTRAS) and making them exclusive to specific sites so I gotta go to renta for one OL yuri that isn’t available anywhere else and mangaplaza for another OL yuri that isn’t available anywhere else and then mangaplanet is SUBSCRIPTION ONLY so the one OL yuri there can’t even be BOUGHT to OWN and then bookwalker has everything else and also sells chapter releases. can I get some centralization or something can we have less exclusive content only available on 20 different platforms and also I want WHOEVER had the GALL to take PERFECTLY GOOD manga formatting and stretch it out in an unnecessary and contrived show of blatant greed to be hunted for sport by me. half the series on inkr that do that get completely fucked up formatting-wise, a chunk gets missing somehow, it’s abhorrent. what if anyone cared about licensing and publishing and delivering a product to an overseas audience in a way that respected the artist and the audience. what if. but no. we’re in online chapter release territory and it fucking sucks. they don’t even have an isbn.

I read BL all over the place, but mostly on Lezhin, Tapas, Manta, and Webtoon. There's also Inkr and Webcomics.

Lezhin & Tapas are my favorite!

If I see a recommendation online and I can't find it on any of these I just google it to see if there's an english version somewhere. Not all stories have an official english translation available.

Official Translations. My first rodeo with them was when I was still with MangaRock. Before MangaRock became INKR.

So I was only familiar with fan translations of manga, scanlations as they were called. My first manga that I've ever read was Beelzebub. MangaFox source.

I was also using a different app. MangaReader. A blue app. Man, memories. That app was one of the first then I found my main app for years. Manga Reader by Robin Studio. Pink themed app and that one had a lot of sources and it introduced me to a lot of genres. Loved it. Then MangaRock.

So I didn't know that there are official translations of manga. I found an official translation by accident when I was looking for a good Fairy Tail translation. The fan translation of that one is just awful for the first chapters.

When I found that Sigurein is translated as Sieglain as per the dub then I knew I got a good one. Didn't know that it was official and by Kodansha, a trustworthy manga translator.

So I enjoyed that shit. Finished Fairy Tail with Manga Rock. Then Manga Rock died so I had to find alternatives. Heard of Tachiyomi so I went and checked it out and lo and behold a shit ton of translation sources. This was also the time I became interested in manhwa and webtoons. So I went and checked and my search for manhwa to read solidified my desire to go with official. Manga was various with the quality some are not good, others serviceable.

Manhwa is just good or meh. The official translations are fucking fantastic. So I applied the same ideal to manga.

Now I was not aware of the official translation discourse until recently. Apparently, manga and Japanese media in general as far as translation is concerned are getting "mistranslated" by the very partisan and left leaning peeps. And I can safely that yes, that has happened.

Of course, nuance applies and the mistranslations always have something to do with the LGBT and feminism stuff.

Chainsaw Man recently had a panel in the official translations where the MC is just saying something about Unions and Job Security. The fan translation does not have the mention of that one whatsoever. The anime also didn't. This was not blown up however because it talks about Union Jobs and job security and humane job treatment. This also isn't anti-LGBT bait or anyother so yeah. The only mention of the anti-woke side who hates official translation whom they call localization is a meme and the comments have a discussion referencing commies and stuff. Awful stuff and not worth the headache.

There was one thing there though that was interesting. There was a Japanese person in the comments that said that what the MC said in the raw manga was gibberish. I guess its true. Then in the not so woke side of the conversation the gibberish that the MC says also is just how he pronounces the words for union job and job security and shit.

I feel so butthurt. Not because of the conversation about the union job, translation or anything. I have opinions too and I feel like I should pick a side herr but I don't want to. I want to read Chainsaw Man. I hate being redpilled.

Guess my woke tolerance is a bit high.

I just want to enjoy my shit without controversy. My friends are like that. I mean my problem isn't the translation or what people say about it. It's the sides that form when these are talked and the feeling that I'm a bad person whenever I enjoy these works. Based on the vitriol I see. Maybe I shouldn't take things seriously.

I've been pressured to read smarter or be analytical but I just can't. I feel dumb half the time and I'm very slow on the uptake on things. I just want to forget the internet and enjoy things in ignorance. I'm better off that way. Fuck the redpilled. Fuck the woke. Fuck this translation issue. Fuck everything!!!!

yeah, you can! im actually planning on buying a physical copy sometime in the future, it just looks so dang cool.

you can buy a physical copy on amazon and a couple of other comic book places, but you can read it digitally for free on the inkr comics app or the graphite comics (you will have to pay for the second volume on graphite tho). just look up 'toy story manga' in google and it should come up with everything, minus inkr.

also, believe it or not, its not fanmade! kinda. it isnt directly made by pixar/disney, but the manga is actually fully licensed, meaning they got permission to do it.

Why some characters are they way they are

So this is gonna be why I made some characters since some are more close connected to me as well as how they used to be AKA Concept of them. The first one im gonna start off with is Moon, my main oc Moon: Moon AKA Eclipse Inkres Moon, was created to a really difficult time due to family issues and my friend passing away. He was made to be a persona and actually was a girl in the begining, being called Nemesis. But he was a huge comfort since I really wanted to do things that would end every opportunity i would ever have but I didnt go through with it. The reason why hes tartged was because he was more an Angst charcter so often will be like that. Hes also how i got the idea of other characters as well as dreams. How I got the name INKRES was mixing Ink, Error (the ER just reversed) and Sans (The S and the end since he is a sans) Razzy: Razzy was one of the Concept designs of Moon. At first he was gonna be more like a UndertaleAU with a Bendy and the Ink Machine AU mix since I made him be dressed up more like that time period. As time went on, another creator also had the design similar and their character is really cool so I decided to change it since that design was good but I think it would be better if he was changed so is now more in the cyberpunk like ascetic. Silver: He was the orignal persona of mine before Wither but was changed into a characater once the roleplay started. I didnt know how to say that he was a perosna but after a while, he seemed better as a character then a persona but kept the marks on him due to now creating a past for him and his slings. (the roleplay version has Stripes and Leana adopting them but that isn't canon) Whisper: They [yes in the roleplay I say "he" since its easier for me] were gonne be another persona for me before Wither. He orginally had a transparent stash with the moon phases on it but was later removed. the marks on him are tattos on him. He does still have those two arms on the back and often hides them and will only use them when he has to since after it burns Umber: Umber would later become the silbings of Comet and Venom. I created her since I didnt really have a lot of females so added her. Now, I might remove her or not make her no longer related to them and be someone else. CorruptedPapyrus, Muffet, Grillby: Them three were part of the MERCIFUL version of UNDRTRACE but were kicked/"killed" from their timeline. This is why the were more like shadows in the "corrupted" state but in the roleplay, Muffet became Muffin and Grillby stayed as UTE Grillby Catrina,Muertos,Higanbana,Diathus,Styx: Muertos was the first one I created due to me being inspired by Day of the Dead and most specifically the flower, Marigolds. His features and colors are ones that are of sugar skulls. Catrina was a similar case due to her being created for a project for Day of the Dead in Spanish. She was never gonna be mentioned to be honest and was gonna be going by a different name as well. Another insperation was La Muerte from THE BOOK OF LIFE Styx was inspired by both of them but also was inspired by a design I saw as well as La Muerte again. Higanbana and Diathus were inspired by the flowers of the same name TerrorPhobia and Dreamer AKA Nightmare and Dream: They were orgianlly gonna be big reasons on why Moon had an urge to go to other AUs as well as the conflict. They still will have roles in the comics but not as my alternate versions.

Your Eyes My Words (Morphish): I don't see this manhwa being talked in my small circle of friends, but comparing the view count with other BL series I'm reading on Tapas, it's not exactly a popular work with only 60k views. Which is okay, it's my duty to share them with you! Here's my review and I hope everyone gives it a shot! Play After Call (Ohtako Mame): This one unfortunately doesn't have an official English release but it does have one in French, if you know the language! I wrote a Twitter thread on my first impressions a while back, but I went back to rereading it a couple of times after finishing it. I love Dom x Sub Universe in general, but Play After Call is so simple yet so tender and emotionally captivating that I know I'll come back to it in the future as well.

I Didn't Ask You to Make Love To Me (Saike Natsuhara): Now wait, hear me out. Looking at the title and the cover I expected this ongoing manga to be a smut fest and nothing more but?? I need everyone to get into this super sweet and equally sexy BL! Here's my short introduction to it and why it kind of surprised me. Other INKR favorites, all highly recommended: Loved Circus (Asada Nemui), Our Not-So Lonely Planet Travel Guide (Mone Sorai), Scramblues (mame march), FANGS (Billy Balibally)

Love For Sale (Dal Hyeonji): I said I'll try to add titles that I haven't mentioned before but... an all time favorites list without Love for Sale is an incomplete one. While there are personal reasons as to why I'm enamored with it, objectively speaking, what makes LfS stand out among 80% of generic BL works is its nuanced look at the different shapes romantic love can take, its characters that are down-to-earth and feel tangible, has a very good balance of steamy and fluffy. It's brilliant, honestly. Perfect. But requires the reader to set aside the learned tropes/takes aside and give the story room to expand itself layer after layer. It's a rewarding read, if you can manage to look at it through a critical eye. Other favorites from Lezhin that I absolutely go bonkers every week: The Pizza Delivery Man and the Gold Palace (Upi), Define The Relationship (Flona/Chada), Wolf in the House (Park Ji-yeon - Complete), Love Me Doctor (ANA - Complete)

INKR Comics So far

So far Ive found some hidden gems on the app but let talk about the app itself. The app is very easy to navigate, I haven't experienced any glitches. You can customize it the way you want to read, whether you was to scroll left to right to scroll down. There is also a comment section at the end of each chapter along with a subscribe bell and three little bullet points with more under. The comment sections are empty compared to what I am used to seeing on more of the popular illegal websites that often get leaked on Tik Tok. There is a free section on the app, these are manwhas, comics and manga which have their chapters for free. Everything on the app has at least 1 chapter unlocked for free. I am currently trying out INKR extra with a free trial. This allows me to download content and couple other things, like letting me see more of the content for free. I plan to keep looking for more hidden gems I’ll let y'all know if INKR extra is worth 4.99 a month.

i know i’m right, hard not to with some of the things they say, my main problem is that i’m not really argumentative by nature(and nurture, a behaviour i’m trying to unlearn), and between trying, and being told, not to be ungrateful i’m also told to let it go because some of these people helped raise us. and sometimes being told that makes me kinda angry. i mean, i m aware that people aren’t monochrome in their character, but there’s a limit to what i’m willing to forget...
