In this Amsterdam vlog, I embark on a journey of discovery through some of the city's most iconic sites. I visit the Sex Museum, Rijksmuseum, and Red Light Secrets Museum, immersing myself in Amsterdam's unique history and culture. Plus, I challenge myself by attempting to speak Dutch with the locals and exploring some lesser-known areas of the city. First, I visit the Sex Museum, which offers a fascinating insight into Amsterdam's liberal attitude towards sex. I explore the exhibition, which includes a range of erotic artifacts, artwork, and even a life-size replica of a red-light district window. Next, I head to the Rijksmuseum, where I marvel at the Dutch Masters' masterpieces and learn about the history of art in the Netherlands. Afterward, I visit the Red Light Secrets Museum, where I take a peek behind the curtains of the infamous red-light district. I learn about the history of the area and hear stories from the women who work there. Throughout my travels, I attempt to speak Dutch with the locals, which proves to be more challenging than I anticipated. However, I have fun practicing and learning a few new phrases. Lastly, I explore some lesser-known areas of Amsterdam, discovering hidden gems and experiencing the city's unique charm. From picturesque canals to colorful street art, there's always something new and exciting to see in Amsterdam. Join me on this exciting adventure as I discover Amsterdam's rich history and unique culture. Don't forget to like and subscribe for more travel vlogs!

that scene between arthur and dutch in chapter six where arthur insists to dutch about letting john, his family and the girls is one of my favourite scenes from rdr2 because it packs so much about arthur and dutchs character/relationship
this was likely one of the first times that arthur had ever outright challenged dutch to his face, he's not even challenging him, really, he's merely insisting dutch put the lives of the gang over the money, which is something i and arthur would think dutch would appreciate given all of his preaching of loyalty and freedom and family. he's very clearly passionate about this, given his raised voice and hand gestures, but it's clear that he's nervous, too, his words coming out rushed
and when dutch responds with "john? ...insist?" it's clear that arthur has every reason to be nervous, because dutch did not like that at all, with his slow, almost spelling out the word "insist," repeating arthur's word as if clarifying exactly what arthur is telling him, almost giving him a chance to go back on it. he sounds and looks angry, almost shocked at the notion, like he expected arthur to still be blindly following him after everything
and arthur can clearly tell that dutch didn't like that, his eyes are shifting and he takes a second to answer, "yeah, insist," which is just so brave of him, because this is the man who arthur has looked up to for twenty-two years, loved like a parent, who he had ruined real relationships for, his fiance, his partner and son, for again, twenty-two fucking years and yet he's standing his ground and telling dutch that yes, yes he said that, and he meant it too. he's not blindly following dutch anymore and can recognize that dutch isn't good at following through on his word, he isn't the dutch he recognizes from his memory and yet he still respects dutch so much that he still comes to him about letting them go
from this scene you can also tell that their relationship has gone so downhill, because there have been times earlier in the story where arthur has spoken out against dutch, the time when dutch tells arthur to go rescue micah comes to mind, where it's very light, almost joking in a way, but here it's very clearly a confrontation, the tension is literally suffocating that you, as the player, can feel it seeping through the screen where end up holding your breath
and dutch, like he does earlier in the story, tries to cover up his reaction, and attempts to reassure arthur that he's listening and trying to disperse the tension in the air between the two, but it doesn't work, because he can't hide what happened with his charisma, arthur's still keeping his distance from him, so instead he distracts him with the upcoming train robbery
its just so fucking good i love it so much

I'm Italian and a new follower, ever since I saw the region where Machete is from I can't stop calling him Carmelo in my head since it's a pretty common name there and Vasco speaks with a Tuscan accent in my head now( I love how they pronounce the letter C even if people sometimes makes fun of them for that)
It's always really fun hearing about any Italians that like my work and characters, because you guys obviously have the insider knowledge I (a Finnish person) am not privy to. If you say Machete looks like a Carmelo I have hard time doing anything but nodding and going "ah yes, sounds legit, you probably know your Carmelos better than I do".

I know the gang cares about Arthur and they knew his sickness was serious and it's part of the narrative and whatnot, but really would it have killed them to just offer the occasional "is there anything you need Arthur?" or "anything we can do to help?" or even "how are you feeling today?" - I'm sure Arthur would rather be pestered slightly than have his rapid illness get straight up ignored yknow?

i will never get why people are so mad when they find out Abigail used to be a prostitute. killing and robbing people is fine but being a working girl (which was legal) to survive is where you draw the line like ???

what's the point of liking antagonists and villains if you're just going to justify and ignore every act of antagonism and villainy - can people please learn to be more comfortable liking characters who aren't good without feeling this incessant need to change them.
like be fucking for real, be an apologist but at least acknowledge that they did all that without trying to justify their behaviour.
i'm so tired of people finding excuses for dutch and micah (even arthur, too). it's never "dutch took advantage of a fucking genocide because he's a bad person" or "dutch abused his girlfriend because he's a bad person" it's always "dutch did these things because he's mentally ill/bonked his head".
by attributing his actions solely to mental illness, you're inadvertently stigmatizing mental health issues rather than addressing the complexities of his behaviour.
like I won't deny he is mentally ill, nor will I deny that his mental state is clearly deteriorating over the course of the game but he didn't do these things and more because he's mentally ill, he did this because he's a bad person.
the head injury theory also completely ignores the fact that he was already acting erratic earlier in the story, far back into chapter two.
i mean, he shot an innocent woman during the blackwater massacre for no apparent reason, and that's where I would argue he is the most stable before he injured his head in chapter four.
fortunately for micah, there isn't much people use to justify his behaviour, mostly because what he does is downright deplorable, but the excuses for him are just as stupid, whether linking to his upbringing (ignoring the fact that there are people like lenny, tilly, charles, sean, kieran and even arthur who had an incredibly similar childhood to micah who are all marginally better people than micah) or the fact that when he turned the gang in 'for the greater good' when no, he did it because he was cruel and greedy and he continued to be an outlaw where he ended up murdering a child in cold blood.
even arthur, like I've talked a length about the good arthur does and how good of a man I believe him to be, but he still abandoned his family due to his loyalty for the gang, he still beat a sick man closer to his death, he still terrorised and robbed and injured and killed innocent people and those acts are unforgivable.
people have got to learn how to like nuanced characters without stripping them of their complexity because otherwise, then that is the point.
