the first time it happens is at a sleepover. they all camp out in bill’s dorm, playing games and watching movies. during a movie, stan steps over legs to make his way back to his spot the couch after taking a bathroom break, and richie raises his leg up to trip stan at the last second because he thought it’d be funny

stan almost goes flying, but ben witnesses what happened and is able to grab onto stan’s waist and steady him.

and that night, after stan thanks ben for the help and slaps richie upside the head for being an idiot, they can’t stop thinking about it. stan can’t stop thinking about how firm and warm ben’s strong hands were on his hips. ben can’t stop thinking about how his action slightly lifted stan’s shirt and exposed his hands to the warm flesh of stan’s sides - about how stan smells like vanilla.

after that, it just kind of keeps happening. the touches.

one time, ben offers to fix up a leak that stan had in his apartment, and stan sits with him the whole time, chatting him up while simultaneously reading in between comfortable silence.

when ben finally fixes the leak, stan is quick to grab onto his hand to help the other male up from the ground - both of them almost froze when their hands slot together

ben’s hand is warm and firm, while stan’s is soft and cool. stan tries to convince himself that the sudden warmth is the reason a chill shot down his spine

the touch lingers even after ben is up on his feet, only ending when ben lets go to start packing up his tools. stan cam still feel ben’s touch on his skin, and that day, he let himself take note of just how cute the other male is

stan and ben start meeting up more as the months go on

one night, they’re studying at stan’s apartment for a bio exam when stan breaks down crying - his school load is heavier than he anticipated and he’s having a small breakdown.

then he feels ben’s strong arms wrapping tightly around him, and it’s almost nearly immediate that he starts to calm down. stan is not a hugger, but god, does it feel so nice being enveloped by the bear of a man. his touch is so warm and so genuine.

at first, ben fears his forwardness will backfire, but quickly relaxes when stan nuzzles into the hug. he likes holding stan, and he likes the the way that stan’s hands cling to him like a lifeline. he feels helpful.

now everytime that they meet up, stan doesn’t bother with a normal greeting, instead hugging ben or vice versa. being in each other’s arms? it feels right

the first time they get called out on it is during a dinner with the others. it’s mike who teases them about the hugging, which causes them both to blush profusely

then, beverly makes note of the way ben’s arm hangs loosely, but almost protectively over stan’s shoulder in the booth, which brings out the blush again.

neither really comment on their friends’ observations, instead making flustered noises and attempting to quickly change the subject.

when they’re all leaving and saying goodbye, ben makes a decision that he hopes to god won’t backfire - he leans in and kisses stan on the cheek, and both of them flush brightly at the action. stan smiles, and they both leave with a hug goodbye and minds on each other.

now they have to be touching each other in some sort of fashion when they’re together - whether that’s holding hands, looping their arms, ben hanging his arm over stan’s shoulders, hugging, cuddling in stan’s bed - it’s become an addiction

then one day, ben tweaks his back during a construction job and is having a hard time doing certain movements. after admitting this to stan, a blushing stan offers to massage out the muscles, which a scarlet ben agrees to

in the kitchen, stan ardently massages out the knots he feels in ben’s shoulders and back, his whole face on fire as he feels ben’s frame relaxing further and further against him

then he feels one of ben’s hands suddenly resting on top of his, causing him to stop and stare down at the man who has a look on his face that makes his stomach churn.

he’s glad when ben stops everything and reaches up to kiss him - if he hadn’t, then stan is sure he would’ve. it’s everything they had been working up to, and everything they could have hoped for.

Kaspbrough (Bill and Eddie) 4/10 I just do t like it. They're to different and neither of them could handle eachother in a relationship.

Hanbrough (Mike and Bill) 10/10 I REALLY love them together. I've said it before, if Stan is dead than I want theese two together as adults but if Stan's not dead then I like him and Bill together. But yes, Hanbrough is one of my favorites. Like they would go on camping trips together and that would be cute.

Bichie (Bill and Richie) 6/10 I think this could work but they're better as freinds. I like to think that Bill and Richie are actually best friends. So yeah, I guess I could see them together, but I think they should just stay friends.

Stenbrough 10/10 I love theese two. I think this would just work. Even in the book where Bill is a little bossy and sometimes pushy I thunk that him and Stan need eachother around. And Bill could pick Stan up off the ground and Stan could help Bill be a little more rational.

Hanbrak (Eddie and Mike) 3/10 I just can't picture theese guys as a couple. Of course I think they'd be really close and good friends, but Eddie just isn't right for Mike and vise versa.

Reddie (Richie and Eddie) 10/10 Yes, my favorite ship. They're the perfect amount of diffent and similar to eachother. And plus it's cannon in the movies that Richie likes Eddie. I love them together. I feel like there would be a lot of pain and hard times before they get together because they both have trouble with it. But once they're together they would be amazing.

Steddie (Eddie and Stan) 3/10 They're just too problematic for eachother and that's all I have to say.

Hanzier (Mike and Richie) 5/10 I guess but I personally am not a fan. Mike needs someone who can like sit at home and watch a movie drink some wine and head to bed and that's just not Richie. Richie needs someone who can keep up with him.

Stanlon (Mike and Stan) 10/10 So I'm actually a pretty big fan or this one. I think k like I said Mike needs someone to have a night in with. And Stan I think needs someone who would push him out of his comfort zone wich Mike would do. So I thing this could really would pretty well.

Stozier (Stan and Richie) 6/10 This has potential but there butter as friends because I feel like as a couple they'd argue a lot because they bicker a ton as friends and that could develop wrong if they were to date.

(Lil bonus) Stanpat (Stan and Patty) 10/10 Of I couldn't have Stan with Bill or Mike than I NEED Patty around. So they seem to only be the really happy couple in the book. They also learn things like sex from eachother and seem pretty similar. I think there's a lot of trust and commitment and communication and just a lot of good stuff about Stan and Patty together. Also there so cute.

First of all, I would like to say I am so, so sorry it’s taken me so long to respond to this, I started drafting it and then I went out of town and just forgot about it for awhile, so I hope what follows can make up for it.

The prompts I was given by @monstersscream were 1)Roommates and 30) Suddenly flustered by a particular outfit. I don’t know who else I would choose, so Stancom it is. Also, I am very aware of how unrealistic this would be, but I think it would be so cool to do.

- The Losers are all in college, I won’t talk about all of them, so you can fill in the blanks with whatever you want

- Ben is majoring in journalism (I say this because even though I’ve technically only seen the 2017 movie, I’ve read a few fics and Ben seems to be giving off a very bookish writer vibe and I think he would really love journalism)

- Stan is going to be a counselor or psychologist (I don’t know what the actual major is called, let me know in the comments POLITELY) (I chose this for Stan because I don’t want him to die and I want him to get better and decide that he wants to help others and ya) 

- Beverly is a fashion/design major. She’s been this before in sooo many fics and I LIVE FOR IT

- Before I say anything else, let’s establish that Stan and Ben are in a relationship. They’re not out to anyone yet, because they’re not quite comfortable with how things might  go, like they saw how much shit Richie and Eddie went through in high school and it was. not good. 

- now, my objective for the post: The Met Gala. When I was trying to figure out how to write this, the Met Gala was just going on. Because it’s so expensive, I obviously wanted to go, but I’m broke and Canadian. Similarly, the Losers are very broke and from small town Derry, Maine. They;re not going to the Met Gala. 

- They’re going to the Mock Gala. It’s probably the biggest event their university has all year. Every major has a part in creating the event. It’s a sort of final exam for senior students. 

- Math/physics/architecture majors (cough cough Bill is architecture cough cough) design their dream building to hold the Met Gala (it’s just held in the school gym because they’re not building something new every year)

- Fine arts (painting, drawing, photo, graphic design, etc) curate the event like how the Met Gala has art all over the fuckin place, pardon my french and that’s so big for them.

- the gym is the biggest room and there are a few classrooms around it that they use. 

- okay okay okay back on track

- Fashion/design majors like Bev do the outfit. 

- Journalism/photography are, obvs, there for reporting and yearbook 

- I mean c’mon it’s their biggest event you think they’re not going to have coverage for this?

- everyone else goes to be the guests and fill the seats. It’s super fun. 

- Stan, because he is not out and Ben is basically doing his final exam right now, goes with just some friendly girl in his class call her whatever you want idc

- Ben is, obvs, a reporter

- Bev, who has a nose for these things, kind of knows about Stan and Ben. She’s with them all the time there’s no way she doesn’t. Anyway, she assumes they’re going together, because why can’t you just “go as friends” (we all know how bullshit this is) designed both of their outfits

- They both asked separately, but she just did it because she did

- so she made them to match, and because they’re roommates it’s not that weird to send them both back with one of the boys the next time she sees them. 

- Cue the night of the event, they;re getting changed and they go out, and then they see each other at the event because timing or something

- I don’t really have a reference picture for this - orginiallly I was thinking something like Serena Williams’ dress from the Met Gala but I looked closer and realised that’s not quite what I wanted so I revised and came up with two suits:

- one is dark blue, with yellow swallow prints and a yellow tie with forget-me-nots. I’m giving this to Ben, because I think he’d look great in the shade of blue that I’m thinking of.

- the other one is the opposite; yellow with blue swallow prints and a blue tie and little black-eyed susans (flowers).

-They show up at the event and see each other and it takes a moment but then they realise: they’re matching.

-they get lots and lots of questions from Ben’s classmates and Ben thinks he might have a chance to get a really good mark with the inside knowledge if he doesn’t give too much away

- Stan is a little overwhelmed but he’s so excited. He’s been thinking of coming out for awhile and this, if Ben agrees to it, is a good way to do so. and, potentially, it could cause drama if he doesn’t tell his date and then proclaims Ben as his date and bla bla bla u get the point

- but the thing is.... Ben and Stan look amazing in suits

- it’s college so it’s not like they’re dressing up every day and it’s been so long since they wore more than maybe jeans and a t-shirt

- the pants get a little tight for both of them when they first see each other just because they’re both so stunning. Stan is wearing makeup, courtesy of his date and it looks amazing. long story short, they spend most of the night trying not to stare at each other because then people will only ask more questions and Ben has a final to complete

- when they get back to their apartment, they have to try very very hard not to ruin the suits but they just want to go down on each other because god it’s been a long night of staring at a very hot boyfriend and if that doesn’t do it for them nothing does

- legit they’re so horny like they can just smile at each other and skip class because they’re fucking

- waking up in the morning, Ben thinks, as he looks over to Stan, whose makeup is smudged everywhere and whose curls shine like gold in the morning sunlight, the way a scarf couldn’t hide the hickeys on his neck, that he is so, so lucky to have Stan and to have everything he does now.

- Later that day, he gets around to writing his final piece, and, yes, it’s about him and Stan and all the other matching couples at the Mock Gala

-It’s amazing he gets A++++

- Anyway Stan and Ben are so hot for each other in suits (and regular clothes) and nothing can convince me otherwise.

Okay so I got a lot off track here, and I’m sorry for that. This is why I was trying to write it out earlier, but it’s been so long and I didn’t want to not answer this so here we are. I hope you all like this. Have a good night. :)

A/N: Okay so I got the inspiration to write this while talking with @d-nbroughs and had to write it, so here’s some stancom that no one asked for

Description: Stan never makes much noise during sex, and Ben isn’t a big fan of that

Ben loved hearing Stan’s noises. No matter how quiet or loud they were like music to his ears, but Stan did not think the same thing. He was a very dominant and controlling person in bed. Everything needed to be right, and he couldn’t lose control. It’s why he never allowed himself to make noise. He would talk, giving orders to Ben, but never would he voluntarily let out moans.

He was on his back while Ben was smoothly thrusting in and out of him. Stan loved the feeling of Ben inside of him. His nails were digging into Ben’s shoulders, causing a sting. Stan was biting his lip, almost making it bleed. Often, when they had sex, Stan's face would be like this. Not even letting one sound escape his mouth, the only noise in the room was Ben's heavy breathing.

Wanting to hear Stan Ben started to move his right hand up Stan's body slowly. He could see the confusion in Stan's eyes.

"Don't worry," he said slowing down his movement's. His hand was now on Stan's face next to his mouth. His thumb hovered over Stan lower lip before lightly pressing down, and pulling it from his teeth.

Stan spoke making Ben stop completely, "What are you doing?" The breathiness of his voice had Ben resisting the urge to thrust forward.

"Ben, answer me?" Stan ordered. Blushing, Ben moved his mouth next to Stan's ear and whispered.

"I wanna hear you baby boy. I wanna hear how good I make you feel," as his words Stan let out a small whimper, causing Ben to shiver. He moved his hands from Ben's shoulders, and quickly covered his face in embarrassment.

"Hey, no," Ben said gently removing Stan's hands. "Don't do that, don't hide from me."  

"My noises aren't pretty like yours."

Ben was surprised by the comment. No matter what Stan always seemed very confident when it came to bedroom situations. Never, and I mean never had Ben heard him say something like that, "Sweetheart, you make the most beautiful sounds ever. Don't ever think that you don't, but if you're not comfortable, I won't push you.

The sincerity of Ben's voice made Stan melt; he wanted to please Ben, "Okay, I'll try. Start moving."

Gladly, Ben started to move. Every few thrusts Stan was arching up into Ben, his breathing picking up. Still wanting to hear more, Ben shoved his face into the crook of Stan's neck, beginning to suck and bite on Stan's sweet spot.

"Benny, more," Stan whimpered out. He sped up, making sure to hit Stan's sweet spot, making him continue to moan quietly.

"Touch me," he demanded. Ben eagerly moved his hand to Stan's dick stroking him. "Baby, I'm close."

Ben speeded up his motions, and within seconds Stan was coming. He dragged his hands down Ben's back making scratches. The pain had Ben moving faster, and quickly following after Stan. Carefully, he laid next to Stan taking in the aftershocks. Eventually, Stan spoke.

"We need to get cleaned up," Ben nodded in agreement, he swiftly moved off the bed to get a damp towel for him and Stan. When he came back, Stan was already half asleep. Ben wiped him down and put the towel in the hamper. He then climbed back into bed, pulling Stan close. Before he fell asleep, Stan sleepily spoke.

"I love you, Benny."

"I love you too, baby boy."
