i just saw a post that said justin could have used steeplechase as a commentary on capitalism but he chose not to but like i actually think he did choose to lmao? it seems to me that steeplechase works the way a mining town would have worked (makes sense since the boys are from west virginia). where u work for a company and u live on company land and u earn and spend company scrip. and then mix in late stage capitalism with the entertainment, marketing, branding, and social media aspects. there have been very blatant nods to it throughout the season. just because theyre jokes and the characters get into a bunch of horseshit doesn't mean it hasnt been thoughtful/commentary
