Yo, so, idea.

What if Ingo has always been shown in the past for history stuff (photos, writing, yk?), and Emmet as a child kinda teased Ingo from time to time about it since yk, person who looks similar to you in the past can be good for jokes.

Only for when Ingo leaves.

Emmet realizes the true horror once he runs upon the past yet again.

Submas AU

AU where Emmet finds a hurt deerling abandoned under the seats at the end of his shift one day.

He and Ingo take him home to rest and heal but when he’s better, he just refuses to leave them. He becomes a shadow following them everywhere around the subway, even if he’s still terrified of all the other people there.

Eventually, the staff at Gear Station just kind of accept that he’s not going anywhere and make him an official employee. He slowly regains his confidence around other people, but remains glued to either Ingo or Emmet’s side 24/7, who begin to look after him like a younger third sibling.

They name him Caboose and he becomes a familiar face to regulars on the trains.

Also I’m a furry artist and a furry artist alone so Ingo and Emmet are coyotes because I just cannot figure out human faces.
