Oh Anon, it's like you know me. I've been trying to write the next part about the COTA outfit but it just wasn't doing what I wanted (plus work was killing me the last few days) but pornstache brought inspiration!

Max walked out of the driver's briefing, chatting animatedly with Lando when the shorter man stopped suddenly in the middle of the paddock walkway.
There was a large crowd gathered down the way, they could see a few camera crews and fans in the bundle.
Don't get them wrong, Lando and Max were very ok with not being hounded for the last ten seconds but they couldn't help but be curious as to who it could be that was capturing everyone's attention so completely.
Then a pair of teenage girls squealed with each other and ran off and Max saw a very harassed and harried Blake walking on the fridges of the chaos.
"Oh no, what is he wearing now?" Max muttered, gaining Lando's curiosity.
Max loved Daniel. Loved him with all his heart. Loved that he wore whatever he felt like, loved that he wasn't afraid to try new things. Upon seeing the crowd; Max knew that he was a silly silly man.
When he asked his boyfriend to come with him to the triple header, Daniel had been ecstatic. Blake had groaned. But Blake always groaned, so Max didn't think anything of it.
Maybe he should have. He eyed the oncoming crowd warily.
Daniel's grin had been way too wide when Max had asked him what time he was coming to the paddock and once again Max hadn't thought anything of it.
That really was his mistake.
Because in Austin, Daniel had shown up to the paddock as a full blown cowboy– complete with horrendous beard and Texan accent.
The crowd now made sense, they too had been waiting to see more of the spectacle. At least this time the crowd was smaller. Way smaller than Austin.
Max was eager to learn just what Daniel did to cause this tizzy. It truly couldn't be worse than Austin, those pants were amazingly tight and the RACE SERVICE belt had been cheeky. Max had taken him up on that offer after quali.
"Hey Maxy!" Daniel's voice was happy and bright. He alighted the throng and Max took him in.
He bit his lip, Daniel looked amazing as usual. But there was something…slutty about this outfit even in its simplicity. There seemed to be a trend that Max was noticing; last week was the sleazy cowboy, and this week seemed to be the slutty boyfriend.
Because why else was Daniel grinning at him with a leer in his eyes. His beard was gone, trimmed down to a goatee from Monday morning. But now even that was missing and it was just a thick mustache that highlighted his boyfriend's handsome face.
His lips and teeth cradled a toothpick and Max couldn't keep himself from staring heavily. He was keenly aware of the cameras still trained on them, a fixture since their broadcasted kiss in Qatar.
They'd been catapulted to some sort of super couple that people 'shipped'. Vicky tried to explain it to him but he didn't think it made any sense since they were already in a relationship.
"Hello Daniel." Max smiled, Daniel grinned wider around the toothpick in his mouth. It seemed he went all in with his outfit and persona. Max couldn't be mad if he wanted to, not when Daniel looked so happy and sexy. Who knew a pornstashe did it for him?
He was ready to see how it looked when Daniel sucked his cock.
“Hey Lando.” Daniel greeted and Lando said something back. Max wasn't listening as he took in the rest of Daniel's outfit. The backwards cap showed a hint of curly locks, more than likely its purpose was to tame the unruly coils. It would look perfect on the floor of his driver's room as he ran his hands through Daniel's hair.
His grey T-shirt was familiar but the shorts were new. They looked silky…and we're just as short as Max preferred, the ship and lighthouse just visible as he walked. His quads bulging tantalizingly with every step he took.
Max knew he was staring but he couldn't help himself. Daniel looked good enough to eat and Max wanted to.
He was able to eventually guide them away, much to Blake’s happiness. He all but plopped himself in one of the chairs in the garage. Daniel followed Max up to his driver room where Max pressed their lips together hungrily before the door even shut properly. He felt the hairs of Daniel's mustache tickle his lips, almost tangling with the hair of his own blonde stache.
Max tipped Daniel's cap off and it fell with a soft clatter then he tangled his hand in the flattened curls on Daniel's head. His boyfriend smiled in their kiss, Max felt his chapped lips widen and he bit Daniel's plump bottom lip in response.
It didn't take much coaxing, hardly any at all, and Daniel was slipping to his knees and reaching for the button of Max's jeans. Max hissed in pleasure as Daniel swallowed his cock, he looked down with hazy blue eyes and ran his thumb lovingly against Daniel's top lip.
Yeah the pornstache was doing it for him.

For Christmas, my family has made my "to read" pile even bigger!
Emperor of Rome, by Mary Beard: Her latest book! I didn't even know it was out yet, but I enjoyed SPQR and all the documentaries she's hosted. She's good at emphasizing the diversity of the Roman world and ordinary people's experiences, so I'm curious to see her perspective on high-level politics, too.
Inverse Cowgirl, by Alicia Roth Weigel: A memoir about sexuality, gender, and identity from an intersex activist and human rights commissioner in Texas, USA. Makes me proud to see other Texans working towards a kinder, more sensible future.
All About History: Book of the Roman Empire, ed. Dan Peele. A magazine-style book full of infographics, chapters on religion, the military, everyday life, and some famous Romans, and lots of glossy pictures. I'm most curious about the profiles of Agrippina the Younger and Julia Maesa, along with the sections on the Crisis of the Third Century, bathhouses and crime. Might also post excerpts of Nero's profile because I know a few of y'all are really interested in him!
I have eaten far too many cookies and gotten dog hair all over my pants. Gonna try finishing Plutarch's Life of Romulus later. I hope y'all also have a wonderful day!

"See, I'm told you the kids are gonna enjoy it so far." Jake grins.
You just happy to be with your little family while your husband is on the vacation to visiting his mom in Texas, but you know that you looking forward to meet your mother-in-law, especially bringing your kids to see their grandma for the first time in person.......
The following day, y'all at the hotel, both of y'all gotten up, you already washed up the night before so while Jake in the bathroom showering, you getting the kids up, making sure they ate some breakfast, brushing their teeth, and getting dressed up. So afterwards your husband got out the bathroom from showering and you smell the vanilla & lavender body wash that he has on and also you couldn't help that he looks handsome without clothes on especially he have a towel wrap around his wrist like that, but you have to get your dirty thoughts out of your mind for right now because we are wasting time a little bit, and we have to get going so after we already got dressed and we are heading out to his mom's house.
So after hours & hours on the road, we arrived at the place, Jake parked the driveway, killed the engine and we got out of the car and rings the doorbell and we saw his mom and her outfit it's scream southern bell because of how they dressed especially cause of they raised in a old money Texan way versus me as a Georgian woman like myself I'm more into black culture way because of where I from so he understand knows where I'm come from after we first met before we starting dating.
"My baby Jacob, how are you?" His mom hugs Jake
"Hey mama, how are ya?" He hugged her back after he greeted her.
So after she greeted Jake, she saw me and the kids, she stepped closer towards her, immediately she hugged her & the children.....
"Hello Koko, it's so nice finally to meet you, and you are really beautiful as well." She smiles at you while greeting.
"It's nice to meet you too, Mrs. Seresin. " You greeted her back.
"Please call me Shelley or Ms. Shelley, whatever you like to call me, though, and this must be my lovely grandkids as well."
It's didn't hit you the fact that those kids are yours & Jake's because the children is more resemble like their father because of their green but hazel eyes but hey you can't help that it's those Seresin genes though but anyway your little girl is not the shy type, sure she has it but she more adventurous like her father and your son is so handsome, he probably gonna have the charm effect from his father and you know when he gets little older those girls probably gonna call up the house and asking him if he a available.....
"So this is my grandchildren, huh? Y'all are so adorable, and how are you loves?" Ms. Shelley compliments the kids.
"Hi grandma, I'm good, and I am glad to see you in person." Jade said hello and introduced herself to her.
"Hi Jade, I'm glad to see you in person as well and you just a cute pie."
"Thank you" she smiles at her grandmother
"And who this handsome prince also as well?" Ms. Seresin asking you.
"This is James Jacob, the middle name, that I'm named him after his father." You tell her about the name.
"So I see and the name is perfect for him but hey come on in, make yourself at home, I'm make some fresh made of cookies."
"Well thank you Ms. Shelley, come on Jade."
"Okay mama" she follows you in the house
"So how long yall gonna be here in Austin though?" She asked y'all.
"Oh we gonna stay here about 3 more days and then we head out back to California." Jake have James on his hip.
"Ohh okay, well it's so good to see you my Jacob."
"You too ma, but anyway where grandma at?"
"She outside on the patio." She told where she at."
"Okay but hey sweetheart I'm gonna see my grandmother alright?"
"Yeah sure, no problem go head" you tell to go head since you have the kids.
"So Koko, how you and Jacob met if you don't mind asking?" She brought out the cookies & tea
"Well I'm met him in a navy bar back in San Diego, California." You told Ms. Seresin how you & Jake met.
"Oh okay, so where you from though love?"
"I'm from Atlanta, Georgia"
"Ohh a big city."
"Yup, I'm from the south and I'm a proud Georgian." You told her that you proud of what city where you from though.
"That understandable darlin', so what you do though?" She asking you
"I'm a stay-at-home mom."
"Okay but look I'm have to tell you something and it's nothing personal, listen what your tensions with my son?" She ask for curiously.
"I'm love your son, more than ever, I'm not expecting anything from him all I want is understanding, morals, respect, and openly minded, that what I want, I'm don't care about the money, that not who I am all that I'm want it to want someone to loves me and let me be myself, that'll all I'm ever wanted." You poured your heart to Mrs. Seresin
"Wow love, I'm never expected that from you to pour your heart out like that." She was surprised
"Sorry I'm just, I in love with Jake and I'm never felt this way before in my life especially how he treated me as a woman."
"Well I'm glad he treated you well and y'all treating each other well too." She understood you.
"Mama!! We saw more horses too, can I'm ride one of them please?" Jade asked you
"Tell your father if it's okay for you."
"Okay mama." Jade running towards back to her father.
"I'm sorry, she like animals so much." You smiled
"That okay honey, kids being kids, but look I'm let you go back to Jacob and it's was a nice conversation with you Koko." She hugged you
"Okay and you too Ms. Shelley." You hugged her back.
And so you went outside with James on your hip and Jake saw you standing there while holding y'all son, and he got him so you can keep a eye on Jade.....
"Hey"
"Hey Babe, how you like it so far?" He asked about the vacation.
"It's perfect, I'm wouldn't be anywhere but you, there no place I rather be here." You kiss him on the lips with a passionate.
"I'm wouldn't trade anything else in the world because of you, I'm really happy that I'm glad we found each other." He kissing you more.

as an honorary american no one was more excited than your boyfriend daniel to spend the holiday in texas with you. when he told you he was finding the first flight back from the united kingdom just so he could be with you it made you laugh because only someone like him would take a holiday like this so seriously, not even most die hard americans really celebrated the day other than to take the opportunity to get drunk or take a day off work. spotting him from a crowded texan airport was all too easy as he was already following the dress code of a big black cowboy hat and university of texas burnt orange hoodie that you can only assume he stole from your closet. from the minute he stepped foot in your eye line he couldn’t stop spewing everything he was looking forward to doing tonight out of his mouth.
“so you’re gonna cook that amazing steak the way you do, and then we are going to play with sparklers, and then i’m going to set off these fireworks” his eyes all but twinkled as he remembered the fireworks stopping in the middle of the parking lot to grab your shoulders as he looked down at you. “babe you have to see these fireworks i bought.”

stopping in the kitchen after doing a once over of the house you grab everything needed to make him his dream american bbq dinner that he had been frothing over for days now. steak, corn, ribs, every texans dream reminding you of your own childhood growing up here doing things like this with your own family.

From “Catastrophe 88,” the Texas Observer guide to the new session of the state legislature, opening tomorrow:
Elections have consequences. This political bromide is overused for a reason—it’s reliably true. And this year, the fallout for vulnerable Texans could be particularly destructive.
After something approaching a blue wave swept across Texas in November 2018, a chastened Republican majority in the Legislature kept its focus in the 2019 session on serious policymaking—school finance and property tax reform—while largely forgoing their typical red-meat fare.
Republicans thwarted expectations of another Democratic surge in November 2020, and the next year the GOP ignored the problems laid bare by the COVID-19 pandemic and ensuing economic crisis, instead focusing on passing as much right-wing legislation as possible over the course of a regular session, plus three painful specials.
The final outcome was ugly: Abortions were effectively banned by threat of bounty, handgun permits were done away with, voting laws were made more restrictive, transgender kids were targeted with statutory bigotry, and school curricula on race and history were whitewashed. Profound policy problems, meanwhile, were left to fester.
Critically, the state’s electoral districts were redrawn for the next decade to ensure incumbent Republican majorities will be insulated from electoral backlash while the state’s growing numbers of people of color and Democratic-aligned voters are kept at bay.
This fresh gerrymander set the table for another Republican rout last November as the GOP maintained strong majorities in the state House and Senate and easily swept the state’s high-powered executive offices—led by Governor Greg Abbott’s 11-point defeat of Democratic challenger Beto O’Rourke.
Firmly in control, Abbott, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, and GOP lawmakers are now free to do as they please—to pick up where their vengeful 87th legislative session mercifully left off just over a year ago.
Some top Republicans hinted during campaign season that they might want to soften the sharpest edges of their draconian and unpopular ban on abortion or pull back on the most extreme parts of their so-called “election integrity” laws. But there’s little reason to think this legislative session will yield moderation. The party’s activist base is eager to continue the march toward one-party authoritarianism, punishing political enemies and catering to political patrons as they go.

Rather began his career in Texas, becoming a national name after his reporting saved thousands of lives during Hurricane Carla in September 1961. Las Vegas Raiders
Raiders fire Josh McDaniels after starting 2-10 and losing to the Chiefs Week 12 in Las Vegas, and promote defensive coordinator Patrick Graham to be their interim head coach.
Patrick Graham will finish the season with a record of 2-3, leaving the Raiders with a final record of 4-13.
The Raiders will fire general Manager Dave Ziegler, interim coach Patrick Graham, and a majority of the rest of McDaniels' staff after the regular season is completed.
Tennessee Titans
Starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill gets injured early in the season, and the Titans allow scond-year QB Malik Willis and rookie Will Levis to struggle for the starting spot before Levis wins it outright after during Tennessee's bye week in Week 7.
Levis then manages to lead the Titans to an 8-3 record from the bye week on, putting up Rookie of the Year-worthy numbers... if he had started the full season.
The Titans still manage to fall in the Wildcard Round to a tough Browns team, but this year still cements Levis as the starting quarterback going into 2024, with Tannehill likely to be moved by the front office in the offseason.
Washington Commanders
Ron Rivera is fired after a Week 16 loss to the Jets, finishing his season in Washington with a record of 4-11. Assistant head coach and Offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is promoted to be the interim head coach.
Bieniemy then coaches the Commanders to a 2-0 record in the final games, and after the season, his interim tag is dropped in order to make Eric Bieniemy the full-time head coach of the Washington Commanders in 2024.
Aside
Originally, I had afew wonkier predictions, namely the Cardinals and Colts trading their respective picks to quarterback-needy teams so those unnamed teams could select one of USC QB Caleb Williams or UNC QB Drake Maye.
My only reservation was that by the time October comes around, we're gonna have seen a much better sample size of football in 2023, so I'm certain I'll have opinions on it. I'd just like to save some for the wilder stuff for when there's a clearer picture to expand upon.

I like this chapter quite a bit. it has most of my faves, mysterio, shocker, tombstone, and a bit of spidey. whoo.
its a little janky but fun.

He spins and huffs, hands coming to rest on his hips as he pauses for a moment.
“Really, this is all quite rude. If you would refrain from attacking me, that would be lovely!”
He calls out to the Enforcers. He ducks underneath another blast from Shocker as the Texan calls back.
“If you’d just come quietly, I’d be happy to.”
“Nay. Mysterio would never let himself be taken to a secondary location.”
He hops away from kicks from Fancy Dan and releases more smoke.
