TFTWAW: Chapter 1
After a month or two it’s finally done! Read tags before proceeding, it’s gonna get bloody violent.

This drawing’s old but this gives an idea on what Blades look like. He’s a seeker and he has a beak. Typically scientists wear monocles or spectacles as a sort of uniform, other occupations also do this.
Cyberglyphs on his right fin says:
“With revenge comes the right of salvation.”
Cyberglyphs on his left fin says:
“Betrothed to Blurr of Iacon.”

That's a very hard question, the world building in my FC is very extensive: I have many ideas.
A few I like are:
Different cybertronian species
No gender-dimorphism between male and female cybertronians
Cybertron not being just a grey metal ball and is actually teeming with diverse mechanical life
I haven't made designs but I have a few ideas:
Jazz would DEFINITELY be based on legendary African-American jazz singer Cab Calloway.
Wheeljack's holoform being based off Sir Albert Einstein (pretty self explanatory).
Starscream would be based off of Dame Vera Lynn.
Skywarp based off a 1920s flapper girl.
And Rodimus based off a young 18th century French man.

Even though I have not written him yet; it'd be Optimus Prime.
I have to be very careful in the way I portray him in my work; I want him to be a good, cold, repentant, questionable, brutal and elegant character. He ain't no saint in my FC and he knows it, his past is shameful and villainous and he'll never forgive himself for the things he had done as Orion Pax.
All he can do now is move on and try to fix his mistakes - his past dim-witted sins.
And I have to be cautious when I do eventually write him: I wrote an Orion Pax one-shot in the past (still on my AO3) and now when I revisit it he seems way too diabolical. I just didn't like how my writing portrayed him: he had no ill intent though I was making him out as a villain.
I don't want that to happen when I write Optimus in chapter two of my fanfic and I don't want to feel like I messed his character up when I've finished writing it. He's extremely complicated.

Oneshot talk #1
I’m gonna give some insight on my old TFTWAW oneshot ‘Time's Arrow Never Reverses’, which fun fact: I got the title from Bojack Horseman.

I still think the fic holds up well today with character and writing wise. Full under the cut:

Brainstorm is definitely SO MUCH older than IDW Brainstorm and less spirited, the guy’s over 500 million years old. And also unlike IDW Brainstorm he actually became Conjunxes with Quark.
Brainstorm in TFTWAW was unable to create a time machine unlike in IDW.
The tale of Brainstorm and Quark is very famous and tragic, cybertronians love their tragic romances. A traditional cybertronian play is even made for the tale.
To give a perspective on height, Perceptor is a smaller than average cybertronian and Brainstorm is a bigger than average seeker. Perceptor is a squirrel compared to the great tree Brainstorm.
The oneshot takes place before the war but almost on the brink of it. It takes place at the time when the High Council is most anxious about the ‘Victoricons’ and they’re basically massacring anyone showing the slightest hint of potentially joining the revolution with Megatron.
Perceptor is much like his brother Shockwave on an ethics and morals basis but he’s not as proactive with those morals as his brother. Would’ve joined the ‘cons if he had a choice.
Brainstorm is probably one of the most depressed characters, and he has a lot of competition.
During the war Brainstorm takes commissions from both the Autobots and Decepticons. He doesn’t do much but sit in the dark in his own hate and anguish and make whatever weapons. Perceptor and Shockwave stopped visiting him (he assumes that they are dead).
Poor Brainstorm...
