Today...is a very special and important day for me, folks~💝😊Three years ago, a certain special troll became the highlight of my 2020 during rough times and immediately won my heart from the moment I knew he would have his own destiny and journey to find others like him...and his family. Since the first Trolls movie, I have always admired dearly him from afar and the moment I saw him during the Trolls World Tour trailer, my heart literally poured out him and I have truly loved him for just being his wonderful, lovable self ever since~💘🥹 And that certain special troll, is none other than...Cooper~💗🌈✨

I have always been a big fan of him and he’s always been my favourite troll to begin with but every time I see him and hear him, my heart always beats so much for him, making it aflutter and words cannot describe how special he is to me...how he means the whole world to me~💞🌈💗🌈💞I mean...can you blame me? >//w//`< How could I resist and say no to such an adorable face to go with such a darling like him??💖😍💖😍💖 Cooper is more than just the goofball that we all know and love...he’s my goofball and so much more...~🥹The most amazing troll with such talent, a unique voice and a dazzling yet loving royal family to go with him...~🌟Cooper is also the prince of my heart, who deserves all the love and happiness in the world...and I feel so blessed to be the one to give it all to him, along with my heart~🥰💝💝🥰 April 24th 2020 was the day I drew Cooper for the very first time, and when I started shipping myself with him. I think my fic where Xander accidentally becomes a successful novelist (largely without realizing it) is the funniest idea I’ve ever had. This guy started writing little stories to remember their adventures in Sunnydale (his last line in Chosen about “how will anyone even know about this unless we tell them” burrowed itself into my little archivist brain and won’t let go) and posts them online. He unintentionally goes viral. He thinks someone named Simon N. Schuster is leaving him voicemails. He ends up on the New York Times bestseller list.

He doesn’t even realize that everyone else thinks the stories are fiction. Xander is out here writing autobiographical non-fiction but everyone else thinks he’s a weirdly dedicated author that’s really committed to maintaining a Lemony Snicket style pseudonym/persona for the narrator of his novel. There are “Who Is Xander Harris?” articles. No one can dig up much of anything on him because he lived his whole life in a town that got wiped off the map. He keeps rejecting requests for interviews because of his stage fright. At first this drives his publicist absolutely ballistic but it just adds the the air of mystery that’s drumming up book sales so she lets it go.

He only responds to questions over email and only ever responds “in character” as his “novel’s narrator” and this baffles everyone, only adding to the supposed mystery. It’s literally not even Xander actually writing the emails 95% of the time. It’s Dawn. She has appointed herself as “Xander’s representation” even though she doesn’t really know what being someone’s representation means. She printed business cards.

#meanwhile the rest of the scoobies are doing everything in their power to stop this book’s publication #it’s a total comedy of errors on every single front #tagging this so claire can filter it lmao (ily claire)#xander Harris #btvs #buffy the vampire slayer #dawn summers #Dawn’s business cards are maybe the funniest part of this me and I truly think this whole thing is hysterical #xander is letting her take care of all the business stuff which is a huge part of why he has no clue what’s going on with the book ever #but also <3 he is a little bit dumb <3 #but also genuinely he just doesn’t care about the business side of things all that much #he really was just writing little stories bc he loves his friends and wanted to remember the times he’s shared with them #and as a way to remember/grieve everything he’s lost. friends. anya. More often than not, Beatrice thinks she’s lucky that her parents sent her away when she was fourteen years old.

At the time she didn’t believe it. No, at the time she thought it was unfair and heartbreaking and she’s probably right about that.

But despite the struggle and the pain and the loneliness, the life Beatrice wound up with has been very good to her.

Not to mention that even without her…choices that her parents disagreed with so vehemently that they gave up on loving her, she’s fairly certain nothing she could have done would have pleased them.

Still, there are moments where Beatrice finds herself burdened by the weight of their hatred for who she was. It’s a curse she thinks might never fully go away.

Notwithstanding the efforts of her best friend.

Beatrice wakes up before sunrise, she isn’t even entirely sure if she slept last night. Her body feels loose and warm - in the kind of way she recognizes from after an extremely vigorous sparring session.

It was certainly vigorous - she…she can hardly believe last night actually happened.

The fact that it still persists despite how well they know each other! They love each other!! im not sure how to answer this, because i dont really know! i've been drawing dragons for so long that the process is almost Entirely subconscious at this point.

hm... i know that when i was pinning down the Technical aspect of their anatomy, i mostly modeled them off of cats & horses. i still do, in a sense! but really, i draw them like i draw anything else. i break them into simplistic puzzle pieces and just... slap em together

like the dragon Wallies i just posted kinda show my full process - i didn't erase any guidelines! You Can See It All! circle for the head, circle for the chest, bumps for where the limbs go. the neck triangles into the chest. etc. uh. yeah!

#also Thank You!#but yeah ofc the process varies - it depends on what dragon im drawing #longer snouts will have an extra circle for where the end is!#i use a lot of foreshortening for horns and tails #i just... break everything down. basic shapes and guidelines yk #ovals and beans and circles and tubes #put it all together in whatever way looks right #rambles from the bog #man... how long Have i been drawing em...#technically 2nd grade but i didnt 'seriously' start until uh... 5th grade i think?#that makes it... hold on lemme count #around 11 years now???? *Poll inspired by typical ambiguity in the new audio story Victory of the Doctor, which on an unrelated note is amazing!

Evidence for each argument beneath the cut!

Open marriage

The Doctor's wedding to Marilyn Monroe occurs in A Christmas Carol, when he storms off to a chapel with lipstick marks on his face. “I’ll just go and get married then, shall I? See how you like that. Marilyn? Get your coat!”

While he wasn't yet with River then, he maintains this relationship afterwards, apparently with River involved. In the mini-episode Good Night, the Doctor enters the TARDIS with a euphonium, calling over his shoulder, “River! I’ll see you later! Tell Marilyn she’s too late, she’ll have to use the biplane. Take care!”

Another piece of evidence comes from The Wedding of River Song, when they're passive-aggressively flirting.

“Hallucinogenic lipstick. Works wonders on President Kennedy. And Cleopatra was a real pushover.” “I always thought so.” “She mentioned you.” “What did she say?” “Put down that gun.” “Did you?” “Eventually.” “Oh, they're flirting. Do I have to watch this?” (from Kovarian)

I've never understood the innuendo (please tell me what I'm missing), but Kovarian does, and as we know from The Husbands of River Song, the Doctor and River are both married to Cleopatra, so… it's definitely something.

There's also that diary page in The Eternity Clock game that suggests the Doctor, River, and Jim the Fish got blackout drunk at karaoke night and started “some sort of religion of love” which went on to last for centuries.

Serial cheaters

“How can you be engaged, in a manner of speaking?” The Doctor is jealous in Flesh and Stone before he's even kissed her, which doesn't set him up as a person who'd be interested in an open marriage.

“No, wait. That's your husband? That's who you're married to? Not anybody else?” In The Husbands of River Song, the Doctor is clearly not expecting the other husbands. Culminating in the same episode…

“So, King Hydroflax?” “Oh, how many times? I married the diamond!” “So you say.” “Elizabeth the First!” “Ramone!” “Marilyn Monroe!” “Stephen Fry!” “Cleopatra!” “Same thing!”

It appears he is well aware of her other spouses (and that she's aware of his); so perhaps his surprise was more that didn't expect her to be so flagrant about them. It makes him insecure (“I posed as his nurse. Took me a week.” “To fall in love?” “It's the easiest lie you can tell a man. They'll automatically believe any story they're the hero of.”) enough to start an argument about it.

River also expresses her jealousy as an obvious fact, as seen in The Day of the Doctor Novelization (written by Moffat who (along with Alex!!) knows the character best):

“Ow!” “Madame de Pompadour?” “Jealous?” “Of course I’m jealous. Keep your hands off her.”

In The Name of the Doctor, we learn that the Doctor, who has had a number of... sexually-charged moments with Clara (including, but not limited to, Victorian Clara), has avoided telling her that River is his wife. Vastra is uncomfortable with having to introduce them, having “gone a darker shade of green.”

“The Doctor might have mentioned me?” “Oh, yeah. Oh yeah, of course he has. Professor Song! Sorry, it's just I never realized you were a woman.” (from Clara)

Actually both

This could mean many things (i.e. open marriage with boundaries which are violated), but potentially, all the same evidence from prior arguments! With a shade of “Our lives are back to front.”

In the mini-episodes First Night/Last Night, when River, having burst into the TARDIS and pretended to faint, mistakes her past self for another woman the Doctor's hiding from her, she openly expresses jealousy.

“Doctor. Have you brought someone else here? Does anyone agree to wear that dress? Where is she!” “River, think it through!” “This happened the last time we were here. You brought someone else!” “No I didn’t!” “Yes you did, I heard you talking to her!”

However, when a third and significantly older version of River makes the same mistake, she no longer expresses jealousy, but rather curiosity, which could at least signal a shift in how she sees their marriage.

Maybe there was a conversation that happened. Maybe it slipped the Doctor's mind when he forgot Clara.

Actually neither

This could also mean multiple things, but one of those things is this. The Doctor is a widower from the start. Likewise, River is well aware of Doctor's death on Trenzalore, “of course River would know, she's always known,” having been raised to prevent those events, and having refused to be bound by that destiny.

How can fidelity be defined the same way for time travelers? Everyone's spouses are dead somewhen. River understands the paradox of her husband's existence better than anyone. To quote The Day of the Doctor Novelization yet again…

‘Because you live in a time machine. All of history is still happening outside those doors. On a good night that means everyone you ever met is still alive and you can’t wait to see them again. On a bad night, it means everyone’s dead, and you want to charge around the universe, pretending you can do something about that.’ She looked up at me. ‘I know which version of you I prefer.’

And there she was, so alive again. I remembered her, twisted, burnt and dead, in the depths of The Library. ‘What if there are people who died because of me?’ I asked. ‘What if there are people I should have saved?’

‘People die. All people, everywhere. We grieve and we move on. That is how we respect the dead. That is how we forgive ourselves in their presence and their absence.’

I drew Ahti II and his never before seen, very best friend Karleeen (three e's is intentional) for Halloween! They're dressed as Aziraphale and Crowley from Good Omens :) Someone likened Ahti II to Azi once and given that he already had a dark-haired "best friend" who is part edgy animal... it was only natural to have this costume arrangement. Please don't spoil anything about the show though, I am only in the first few episodes of season 1!!

On another note, imagine having to buy pants with eight pant legs. The cost would be insane...

#i almost forgot to post!#self indulgent art post because ahti II and karleeen are my everything <3 #oh my god oh my god they-- you dont get it they--#they-------#theyre besties and they met when ahti II was looking to be alone in the shoals of the coast and accidentally startled karleeen via jumping-#on a rock in all his fishy glory and theyre both a little bit socially awkward for different reasons and have a hard time being in large -#groups but together theyre so open and carefree and they like hiking and swimming and drawing and they go on little adventures together -#where they have picnics and ahti II loves to dump all his fish knowledge on karleeen and karleeen loves to listen when shes working on -#something and they have each others backs and would in fact fight someone if they insulted the other and karleeen makes ahti II laugh -#so much and he often feels very burdened by his responsibility and like he has to be perfect for the whole world and hes only really -#comfortable talking to karleeen about his woes and he also absolutely listens to karleeens troubles and helps her with her abandonment -#issues and and and----#theyre in a funny sort of relationship where neither would be opposed to getting married and theyre a little bit in love but theyre happy -#to exist as best friends and just want to see where things go #ummm yeah! yippee !! ahti II lore! i dont talk about that often. thank you for reading! i appreciate that.#ahti II #my art #halloween
