Sanji and Usopp 🤌🤌I love their vibes

mother's day and father's day is tough for both of them, naturally. they share a look the first time one happens and just know the other gets it. at first it doesn't make them feel any better, sure there's solidarity, but they'd rather not have that if it means the other doesn't have to know this pain.

by the time they get back from the two year timeskip, this attitude flips, because they were not expecting those holidays become harder in the other's absence even if they didn't really do anything before.

since then, they've become more self-care days. sometimes they'll trade stories on mother's day, so that they aren't the only one who remembers sora or banchina respectively, talk about how their mothers would like the straw hats, wondering if they made friends if there's an afterlife. they like to think they would.

father's day is always the harder of the two. who wants to think about a deadbeat or a monster? sure, sanji could spend his day thinking about zeff, and he'd much prefer that, but there's always... something that keeps judge in sanji's mind during those 24 hours and it makes him feel like shit.

bit by bit they try and change father's day into a day about them instead. about how they've survived and gotten stronger and that's their achievement and reason to celebrate, not yasopp or judge's. sanji will always make usopp's favourite meal, and usopp will make a new piece of glasswork (no they should not have a blowtorch on a ship, but i like glassmaker usopp. he's a man of many talents!).

the glass figures are usually flowers that then get added to a decoration piece that lives in the kitchen that looks like a garden. flowers because sanji likes flowers, plants because usopp likes plants, but there's also a little glass frog friend that usopp made one year because chopper said the garden looked lonely.

they're casually affectionate anyway, but on holidays that remind them of their parents and their not-so-great upbringings, they're even more so. it helps ground them when sanji wraps an arm around usopp's shoulders or usopp leans against sanji as he helps with the dishes. just a reminder that they're not alone anymore.

usopp is the first person that sanji fully opens up to about his past. usopp's always been one of the easiest people sanji has ever met to talk to. where luffy is a little larger than life, heart to hearts aren't really zoro and sanji's thing, and sanji hesitating to burden nami, usopp feels the most like sanji in some respects.

they have a lot of similar opinions and sometimes sanji appreciates that usopp isn't afraid to voice that he's afraid. they're probably the most emotional members of the crew from the east, at least in way of negative emotions, and it makes things simple.

they didn't know things could be simple like this. they're glad the other is in their life. it's easier to smile with them here.

You sighed as you kicked your shoes off, walking into the nearby living room where your brother was sat. His gaze was locked onto his phone, looking at whatever was on the screen. You had assumed that he was at least paying enough attention for a conversation but you were wrong.

“I will not be walking down that street again. I almost just got run over.”

“Oh nice, did you have fun?” You looked over to Tommy, who was still focused on his phone. Snatching the phone from his hand finally brought his attention to you.

“I just said I almost got run over.”

“So, you didn’t have to take my phone.”

“You said nice and asked if I had fun. Why would I have fun getting run over?” The two of you laughed as Tommy realized what he had subconsciously said. Carrying on with the accidental joke, Tommy asked another question.

“Well, was almost getting run over fun?”

3. "Wait a minute, are you jealous?"

As unexpected as it was for her to drag you into a storage closet, you couldn't say you were upset about it. Not that you could be with Victoria's lips on yours and her hands tugging at your hair, but it wasn't how you expected you day end after so many hours of pouring over paperwork and aged photographs that had been sitting in boxes long enough to have collected decades worth of dust.

You can't feel her skin very well under your latex gloves, but she doesn't seem to care. She's too busy kissing you like she wants to devour you, so when she stops your makeout session long enough to breathe, you question her, "What brought this on?"

"Do you really want to know?' she asks, giving a lingering side-eye to the box of files only feet away from where she's got her ass pressed against your desk, "Or am I going to have to shut you up in other ways?"

That's when it hits you. "Wait a minute, are you jealous? Of my getting these?" It wasn't like you had just been handed the task of sorting through the exhibit records, but you remember vaguely overhearing her speaking to Dr. Alden about looking at them previously. Could she be upset and channeling her feelings into...this?

It seems you struck a nerve, because she's hopped up onto your desk with an irritable glint in her eyes. "What would I have to be jealous about?" she questions.

"Nothing. That's why I asked."

Victoria scoffs, shaking her head and sending waves of golden hair fluttering around her face. You can practically hear her eyes rolling when she talks, "I hate it when you act all smug and confident."

"No, you don't." you tell her, tilting you face so you can feel her minty-fresh breath on your face, so close yet so far away all at once. When she says "Kiss me, you idiot." there's no way you're going to refuse her request.

This Series is Co-Written by my angel Zahra @starlightweasley​ - this girl is possibly Fake It’s biggest fan and 90% of the reason we even have a season two is because of her MIND and the fact that we wanted to give Freddie the joy he deserves <333
