2. most recent horror movie you watched and hated

I can't say I've watched anything recently that I really hated hated, but I didn't really dig the first Slumber Party Massacre movie which I watched last month, extremely forgettable compared to the second.

The last horror movie I watched that I really hated was definitely Scream 4, which I watched in February and thought was complete junk from start to finish lol

3. most recent horror movie you watched and loved

Child's Play!!! I watched it for the first time earlier last month (was getting all my slashers in for my illustration series lol) not really expecting to like it, but I was completely blind-sighted by how good it was. I'm such a Chucky fan now haha

9. a horror movie that you turned off before it was fully over (give a reason if youd like to)

Oh I don't do this often, I really like to try to power through stuff even when it's that bad lol. The first one that comes to mind rn is Street Trash (1986) which I don't even think I got half-way through before deciding I just couldn't do it lol. I'm not sure I ever finished The Video Dead (1987) either, but I definitely watched the majority of it.

Practical effects! My friend practical effects! I can't pick just one, so some top favs of mine are Frank Cotton's resurrection in Hellraiser, the transformation scene in American Werewolf in London, the Tarman zombie from Return of The Living Dead, and like everything in the first Evil Dead movie lol

calling toji a good father is a step too far, i think, given the best measure of that is the results of your actions more than the intentions behind them. tojis intentions are up for debate, and you could say a lot about that! but it IS funny that your argument (partially) is that its pathetic he needs gojo to take care of megumi after gojo kills him. like. sorry hes dead after he was murdered!

Whether or not toji cared about megumi is up for debate. He certainly didn't dislike him, as we can see from his actions after he reincarnates, and he remembered megumi in his last moments the first time round, too.

However, what you've picked out is my statement about gojo then rescuing megumi. I mean, of course toji can't look after megumi once he's dead ... But he wasn't looking after him while he was alive anyway.

There are two layers to what I said: one, which is the one you noticed, was that toji chose an EIGHTEEN YEAR OLD (so, not even a legal adult) to safeguard his young son. This teenager didn't manage to protect the young girl he was originally charged with, AND is also a murderer by the time he kills toji. Ooh, good choice of guardian! (DONT @ ME FOR THIS ONE IM A GOJO STAN IM JUST BEING REALISTIC)

However, the second layer is one you skipped over, but it's the main point I'm trying to make. TOJI SOLD MEGUMI OFF. And if selling your small son off isn't bad enough, he was sold to a family that Toji knows firsthand will be controlling, power hungry, and abusive. Toji knows megumi will be raised as a weapon. Toji knows tsumiki will be made a slave or worse. Toji knows they will endure a never ending cycle of horrors.

To me, spending your whole life trying to escape a family, changing your name, decimating your cursed energy to avoid them, and then KNOWINGLY SELLING YOUR CHILDREN BACK TO THEM is the peak of bad parenting. Who the fuck sells their child into abuse on purpose??

Toji does. And toji makes gojo (again, a HIGH SCHOOLER) go save them.

Getting to write the performance scenes, and also the scenes dealing with characters' struggles as performers, meant a lot to me, and even more so because they resonated with people like you 🥺

Hm. Well, I think I've been able to incorporate a musical and poetic touch into my work in a way that is genuine to who I am while still fitting into the world that I'm borrowing from.

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

I think exposition/introspection is something that tends to come more naturally to me than dialogue oftentimes, so that's something that you will find in a lot of my work. Also, for specific pairings and dynamics, there are fanon tropes that we've come to know and love, and a fic just isn't complete without those!

This year i started listening to Nothing but Thieves and Within Temptation, and i really enjoy their music, they arent favorites of mine yet but i can see that changing

Really though one, i read a lot of very different stuff this year. Uhmmm i think solaris by stanislaw lem, fools fate by Robin hobb, reaper man by terry pratchett and don Quixote (vol 1, i haven't had time to read the second part) are the ones that have stayed with me the most!

19. What’re you excited about for next year?

Hopefully getting a better job and having more time to read? Honestly i just want 2023 to be better than this one lol

Most of my ocs that i have talked about here had been on my mind for a while, one that i came up with recently thought is Isolda Mara. Isolda is one of the rulers of the land where my wip is set, her nation is vaguely based off my region of venezuela and shes a rich, old woman with a harsh personality and very conservative. Isolda is not exactly an antagonist, but she upholds a very unjust system and clings tightly to power. Physically shes a tall, imposing woman, always dressed elegantly, and she keeps her long gray hair beautifully styled. She doesnt look very strong but she exudes power and control.
