Dept Co-leader copies us all on a reply to a guy who sent in a request on Thursday and Friday, to the wrong dept mailbox, saying "we'll help you get that project information" and first I have an "oh shit" moment because I uh never look in any of the dept mailboxes, I don't want to be the one to handle it, but then I have a ". . . wait just a fucking minute" moment because the list of projects sounds familiar. Really familiar. Familiar like the fucking project information I pulled together for that fucking guy back in November.

So I pull open the document I sent to him, to verify before I say anything, and yeah, sure looks like it! (The nicknames he's using for the projects give me a little pause but I'm like 90% sure.)

Then before I need to do anything, he replies to all that saying he'd gotten help later on Friday (from the person who works in the same physical location) so it was fine.

Short gripe session during our morning meeting because it sure would be fucking nice if people could remember we did work for them! Multiple rounds of revisions and all!! But who can remember they received something in their email, amiright. Noooo, it's always, "Oh, oh, woe is me, I cannot find the project sheet on the internal website, please help, please I have a client meeting in 5 minutes*" ... the internal site is always out of date because that's NOT WHERE WE STORE ANYTHING. Bonus points for his email where he said he'd just take the massive document we prepared to his specs and trim it down to suit his needs (which he shouldn't be doing but whatever)!
