it took me longer than I care to admit to realize the reason tmos’s cover is an elephant is probably because elephants are Thaena’s sacred animal. and thaena sure was. important. that book

I’m reading The Memory of Souls right now and there is just something about the scene where 

Janel, Teraeth, and Kihrin end up spooning together in the  Korthaen Blight, and they’re all pressed together and horny and in thin ass clothing.

And then picturing Thurvishar off to the side, freezing by himself and probably half delirious from blood loss

Senera X Thurvishar is my OTP

This has been in my drafts for an age and I only now realized that I never posted it.

Would just like to add that after actually reading TDOG - everything below is true and I love these two so much.

So I just finished rereading all of the ACOD books in preparation for The Discord of Gods release next week and...I honestly find myself totally entranced by Senera and Thurvishar's relationship?

Like they start out as these hilarious academic rivals, and then slowly begin transitioning into more, and I just...I love how this is being played out?

The way that Thurvishar is such a dork about the whole thing, and then does a complete 180 and is smooth AF in MOS (particularly the scenes near the end of the book with Baelosh). How completely he respects her and her own wishes. How Soft he is around her.

And Senera. Okay, I loved her from the first few pages of TNOAT, so watching the comprehension dawn on her was so incredibly satisfying (and kinda hilarious). And then watching how she wrestles with questions about him, and her, and them...I just...its so good. Particularly some of her last big scenes in THOA. Some of those were complete perfection. The smiles.

The Memory of Souls (A Chorus of Dragons #3) - Jenn Lyons

Oh, the complexity of this story as it goes on is just absolutely immaculate. In this book, we get more of Kihrin, Janel, and Teraeth as they try to figure out whatever it is Relos Var is up to (the answer is a lot) while questioning whether or not the Eight are the ones they should be believing (spoiler alert, they aren't). My god, the character development in this book is sooo good. Kihrin finally tells Teraeth how he feels, we get more depth from Thurvishar than ever before, Talea and Xivan, Senera questions her loyalty, etc etc. My point is, there is so much that goes on in this book that it's honestly hard to keep track. Even though this is a reread for me, I'm finding out a bunch of details I missed the first time. There were a lot of moments in this book that I wish I could write down but then we'd be here forever. However, I'll focus on the biggest part, the ending. Not only did half of the Eight die, but Relos Var survived AND Kihrin decides this is a good time to try and reunite himself with Vol Karoth. So... yeah, it's a shitshow and I'm both excited and dreadful of where the next book picks back up.
