For those who don't know, Meow Wolf, an interactive Art Collective has just laid off 10% of it's company and man power. Most of these layoffs were hourly workers already working with stripped hours, bare bones crews, and wages that still made it hard to live in the cities their exhibits lay in, all while going against the union contracts many of these workers were apart of.
Meo wolf has had a history of going against the union and making calls that go against the contracts their LLCs have established. The workers of Meow Wolf deserve better than the union busting company they work for. I should know, I was one of the worker who were laid off.
I went to a Meow Wolf...exhibition? I don't know what to call Meow Wolf projects. Anyway, there's one like an hour away from where I live, and I had never been, so I decided kind of spur-of-the-moment to go. It's really cool, but holy crap, it was overstimulating at a certain point. I kept wishing I could like sit in my car in silence for ten minutes and then go back in because even the lobby area is very visually busy and kind of noisy. Like, I want to go back because I don't think I saw everything, but I think I can only last an hour at a time unless I go on a day when there are virtually no other people -- which I doubt is ever a thing? I don't know.
Anyway, it was really neat and there is so much to look at and explore. Highly suggest if you're ever near one.
I was at The Real Unreal again yesterday and based on some new hints from portal keepers, I learned there a 3 timestop locations. One is in Bowlingbrook IL (our portal keeper mentioned there was a timestop holding the house in status), one that I don't know the location of but presumably near Mendocino CA at Eternal Return, and a third, the one you visit at The Real Unreal, in Midview.
The Midview timestop lab broke down in 1976. There are maps in the lab but I couldn't figure out where the town was. Looking for any info on where the town is or if there are any Meow Wolf nexuses set in 1976.
