Total Drama's Wack Ass Timeline
Dawg how was Action supposedly filmed days after Island? That is insane
Anyway so. I have a fucked up timeline for my own work, bear with me here. Island and Action happen the same way they always did, back to back. (???) The Fake Production Company had plans for a third season, set to film that spring, but budget restraints put it on hiatus, so sad. The campers are left to their own devices. Tyler and LeShawna compete on other shows; Owen hawks questionable products on late night TV; the Drama Brothers have enough time to write two albums (something the ""official"" timeline seems to think can be done overnight). There's even enough time for Duncney to be a highly-publicized relationship with enough paper trail for there to be legal proceedings over a raccoon! Wow!
It all comes to a head that October, the year after TDI and TDA initially aired, and business is BOOMIN. These teens run the fucking world. Along with the Gemmy Awards (which I'm not basing on any real Gemmy or Emmy awards), the Celebrity Manhunt Special airs live. Even though they're permanently stuck as 16-year-olds in the minds of many viewers, most of the cast is now 17. Some of them are 18! Look at the babies growin up <3 So the show happens and-- surprise-- Season 3 is finally announced! Woo-hoo! But it obviously can't air immediately after Celebrity Manhunt, Chris and Chef don't even call it by the right title. (Which, irl, we can chalk up to the actual preproduction of the actual show-- crazy how things line up sometimes!) Filming for WT begins the following March, because of all things, I wanna keep Cody's April 1st birthday part of the show-- because I care about the integrity of canon THAT much guys.
But uhhhh yeah. WT airs that summer to rave reviews, ROTI's filming goes off without a hitch in the late summer/early fall, Chris goes to jail so All-Stars is delayed to the following year and RR films on pretty much the same schedule alongside it (it's a good year for Fake Production Company). Pahkitew Island films the following late spring/early summer, and finally, 15 years later (or however long they say it is in the new TDI intro), the Fake Production Company capitalizes on their former glory with a brand new crop of youngins and an old crop of Chris and Chef.
Whew
Tell me how much you love my timeline in the comments/reblogs <3 <3 <3

Duncney food service AU!
Courtney took up a waitressing/hosting job during college for some extra cash to help herself out, thankfully she’s on a scholarship
Duncan is a linecook fresh out from prison, got the job from a friend/family friend or sumn idk
Duncan definitely blasts music while cooking and occasionally turns it up a tad bit too much specifically just to see Courtney come and scold him because he likes her reaction lol
He jokingly calls her his work wife and soon everyone joins in and teases her about it, if he’s not calling her princess then he’s calling her “wifey”. After awhile Courtney gave up on correcting him and just accepted it.. still pretending it annoys her(sure Jan 😏)
Courtney typically screams in the freezer during stressful shifts, I mean who doesn’t? (Heather definitely works there too & gets locked in like canon.. also gets left in there like canon because she was irritating everyone on shift lmao)
When a customer is rude to Courtney, Duncan will burn their food or won’t prepare it how they prefer.. Courtney understands he’s trying to stick up for her in his own weird way but it just makes things worse on her end because she’s the one getting bitched out lol
Out of everyone, it’s actually Courtney who almost fights a customer lol but she doesn’t get fired because half the staff are ex-cons & she’s pretty much the main one that keeps things in order.
Even though Duncney isn’t actually together, Whenever Courtney’s hosting and she thinks something is going on between Duncan and Gwen, she gives Gwen shitty tables on purpose lol
I’m sorry but the passive aggressive notes between the closers & openers? But with the TD crew? LMAAAOOooo… (closers/nightshift are always in the right idc)
and somehow like every single couple who were coworkers in food service, they end up together and it’s either peaceful or the most awkward shit ever for everyone else.
I need this AU so bad right now.
Let’s not forget all the times Duncney have almost set the whole place on fire.
And how Duncan knows Courtney is going back to campus tired af after her shifts so he starts offering her a ride— then slowly starts boxing up some of her favorites at the end of the night. He swears it from people who just never came to pick up their food but we all know he’s making extra just for her.

Short Days Ago
Several months ago I promised all the TDS girlies a special command performance by our favorite actress/dancer/comedienne. So, fresh from her record-setting bond tour with John Basilone - EILEEN HAMMOND!
Felt like a lot of nonsense, just to see a show.
Ken didn't know what business the USO had, trucking a whole bunch of dancers in here in the middle of a war. It wasn't like the Clubmobile girls, who came in their own truck and could pack themselves out at the end of the day. Everyone on the base seemed to be on high alert the whole week before they were due in, sprucing up paint and setting a stage up near one of the empty hard stands, like they didn't have anything else they should have been working on.
"C'mon, Lemmons!" one of the new fellows said with a grin on the day of the concert. "You can take an hour off!"
But he couldn't take an hour off - not really, not when everyone else was doing the same thing. They'd be on mission alert the next day and every single one of these forts needed to be able to go up and he wasn't making that mistake again. He could hear the music across the fields a little, when the wind shifted, but he wasn't missing much, he felt. He was needed here.
The show was just wrapping up when he drove by the parts store, looking to get a replacement magneto. The dancers had all come down from the stage, posing for pictures with one and all, and the biggest crowd, by far, was around a black-haired beauty with a smile that just wouldn't quit. Well, I'll be. She's back. Lemmons pulled up short and joined the crowd.
Eileen looked around the sea of faces with a big, take-all-comers grin. "You know, the last time I was here someone said I was so pretty they ought to paint me on a plane. They had a new fort in and they were looking for a name. Irish Eyes, I think they said."
Lemmons spoke up. "Yeah, sure, Miss!" The crowd parted a little, deferring to the sound of their crew chief. "She's still here. Hammond's Hornets." He pointed off into the distance, where the plane was parked out on the far side of the field. Wing damage - needed new levers in an aileron. But anyone who walked by the nose today would have seen Eileen Hammond in all her perfect pin-up glory, casting that same grin out into the sky in a yellow and black bathing suit.
The crowd around him buzzed a little, and Lemmons felt a twist in his chest. Would any of them have known that was where the name was from? After all, Rosie's Riveters were named after Rosenthal himself, not his girlfriend, and that visit had been long ago.
"And it was - it was Waitley who asked me to kiss the plane!" Eileen remembered with a grin. "Bob Waitley - from Tennessee. He was trying to go for the main chance and I told him I only had so many to go around - so he had me kiss the plane instead."
Lemmons nodded, smiling and remembering. What a joker, Waitley - always trying to get a pretty girl to catch his eye. "We painted the outline that afternoon - even tried to match your lipstick. The fellas used to touch it when they got in. For good luck."
"Is he still around?" Eileen asked, searching the crowd for a familiar face. "Bob Waitley? I don't think I saw him when I came in."
Ken felt cold. "He was… shot, ma'am." He didn't want to tell the rest of that story, about how Bob had taken a piece of flak through the thigh and bled out on the way home, and his co-pilot had brought the plane down with a dead man in the front seat and three more in the back. He also didn't want to say anything about what had come after, about scrubbing blood out of the cockpit and replacing the covers on the seats, and how they would open the cockpit windows, when crews like that came home, so the souls of the dead wouldn't stay with the plane on her next mission. Pilots were a superstitious bunch, but crew chiefs could be, too. And he'd still kept on having the crew touch up that kiss mark, though it was getting a little wavy now. Good intentions, that's all that was - nothing bad luck about a friendly kiss from a girl.
And Eileen Hammond, for all that she was a showgirl, knew what he meant when he said shot and ended his sentence early, and had enough sense not to ask more questions after.
Behind him, the newer crew was shuffling their feet. "No one told us that story about the kiss." "I just thought it was a joke." "Is that why we couldn't name it ourselves?"
"Well, I'm sure Miss Hammond has a very tight schedule," one of the pilots said quickly, noticing the frosty turn in the conversation. "We should let her get going, gents."
The crowd moved off, but Eileen stayed put, catching Lemmons' sleeve as he turned to leave. "Can I go and see them, Sergeant? If you've got time."
Ken looked her straight in the eye and realized she meant it. "Sure, Miss Hammond. I got time."
It was quiet, out here on the tarmac, speeding off to the far side of the airfield, and Eileen wasn't singing now. Her black curls were going to catch hell from this ride in the open jeep, but she didn't seem to care. Ken pulled off to the side of the taxiway and pointed where they were headed -a half-hidden mound of stones, the remnants of some ancient wall, sheltered under an equally ancient oak. The oak's spread roots had tumbled the rocks here and there, but there were plenty of crevices for dog tags and cigarettes and lucky pennies, and plenty of moss to soak up beers. Plenty of privacy to sit and remember, or to drink and forget. Here's where you bury the guys who don't come home.
"Every base has one," Eileen said, quietly. "Visit enough and you know to ask." She swallowed and looked out across the fields, the low mountains of distant planes far away. "Rather pretty out here. They have a nice view."
"Sure do, miss."
She nodded, and turned to look at the wall, smiling at the beer bottles carefully perched on the top, the half-full bottle of whiskey at the base and the series of small round stones stacked here and there. She stepped gently around the items on the ground, and kissed the largest stone, the print of her lips uneven and red on the rough surface of the rock. "There you are, Bob. A few months overdue." She stepped back to survey her handiwork and took a deep breath, in and out. Behind them the wind was in the grass, and there was a rustle in the oak overhead. All was at peace.
"Don't paint that one on, Sergeant," she said, quietly. "Wouldn't want the other fellows getting jealous."
"'Course, miss," Ken nodded. "Some times the best things fade."
She smiled at that, looking at the stone and the bottles and the way they were catching the late afternoon light. "You want me to re-do the other one? While I'm here?"
"If you like, miss," Lemmons said with half a smile. "But good luck kisses don't expire."
"Maybe so," she said with a shrug. "But it can't hurt, either, can it?"

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields. -In Flanders Fields, John McCrae
Though we never see this in the show, archeological excavations at Thorpe Abbotts indicate that the fliers did have some kind of memorial spot for their dead. A team from a nearby university excavated the site in 2017.

OP characters as besties p.3
p.1 | p.2 | p.3 | p.4 | p.5
characters: Franky, Brook, Robin
warnings: none
notes: all platonic hc's
Franky
will adopt you
no questions asked
won't even tell you about it
he just does it
1. because he thought it'd be funny
and 2. because he genuinely considers you to be a part of his family now
loves to tinker with you
you two act as soundboards for each other to bounce ideas off of
which leads to the weirdest possible inventions
he totally cries over your achievements
he's just so proud
and you're so super
and come on, it's manly to be so open with your emotions
or he's just having a slight malfunction
either way, we support a supportive bestie
the intrusive thoughts always win
if you propose something
from inventions to weird food combos or random unnecessary upgrades
he will 1000% make it happen
it might take a while
but the results are worth it
and those results will most likely earn both of you a harsh lecture from Nami
another duo that shares approximately 1 brain cell
which Franky hogs to create his projects
otherwise, it's on vacation
no filters
you two say the wildest things to each other
it's like you've made a whole new language
the whole crew could be lounging on the deck
enjoying some nice summer weather
and you look at the cyborg and say
ham and cheese with tomato on cherry wood
and it's like a lightbulb appears over his head
he races to his workshop to add to his latest project
meanwhile, everyone else is staring at you like you've grown an extra head
9/10
a SUPER bestie
but won't hesitate to fire you out of a canon for funsies
Brook
asks to see your panties
or asks you to steal Nami's panties
you are besties, aren't you?
isn't that the type of thing best friends do for each other?
whole conversations that consist of only skeleton jokes
plays you music all the time
will teach you any instrument you want to learn
wakes you up by playing music that you detest for no reason
dead jokes
tea parties with him and Robin
staring contest that you're not quite sure why you agreed to
but it's too late and mama ain't raise no quitter
will scare you with his soul powers
will pretend to be asleep if you're mad at him so he doesn't have to listen to you fuss at him
though that backfires pretty quick
because you just chew him out anyway
and then you chew him out again when he 'wakes' up
if you like to sing
he'll happily sing with you
though if you prefer to play an instrument
he'll play a duet with you
if you're not a musically inclined person
he'll take care of the music for you
supporting him by buying some of his TD's and merch
deep talks that begin and end at random
catching him up with the fifty years of history that he lost
him teaching you about things from when he was alive
and telling you stories of the past
the dichotomy of the past and future combined in the present
8/10
wonderful all around
but just as pervy as the cook
Robin
tea parties with her and Brook
and lounging with her and Nami
her telling you about the history of the world
about her mission in life
you two just casually watching the others freak out over nothing
keeping cool during battles
kicking ass
and taking names
having discussions that always devolve into the darkest parts of your minds
which scares the more...impressionable members of the crew (Chopper, Usopp, Franky, and sometimes Nami)
lowkey adding even more chaos to everyone's shenanigans
her being pleasantly surprised when you reveal some of your quirks
regardless of if said quirks are just personal habits or new fighting techniques
she trusts you wholeheartedly
and you trust her just as much
you two help keep each other grounded
and have open discussions about your pasts
*working through your trauma together*
she encourages you to be more open and be the person you truly want to be
and you give her another reason to want to live
9/10
the voice of reason
but will voice the absolute worst-case scenarios at the worst times

TD Revival Countdown
Day 32: Mike – The Hopeless Romantic
Mike is one of my all-time favorites from Total Drama. I liked his design from the spiky hair that I wanted to copy to his blue clothes; anyone who knows me knows I am obsessed with blue clothes. I also liked that the crew put someone in the game that had a mind which worked differently than others.
I know the execution of his mental disorder was kinda controversial, but I appreciated that the crew tried to show a contestant whose mind works differently than others. I liked his normal self; he was insecure about himself until he started opening himself up to Zoey and Cameron. As soon as he admitted the truth about himself, he became more confident and could better manage his mind. Not only did he find someone that wanted to be his friend, but also someone who wanted to be romantically involved with him. It’s a good message that people who will accept you are out there, you just have to find them.
Like everyone else that competed on All-Stars, Mike suffered from bad writing. Judging by the fan polls I saw over the years, he was one of the contestants that suffered from bad writing the most. He started out well, casually channeling his other identities in more useful manners than the previous season until Scott accidentally whacked him with the shovel and unleashed Mal. Suddenly, he was back to hiding secrets about an evil alternate identity and was trapped in his mind for the second half of the season. Not too many fans were happy that he basically coasted to the finale that way and won depending on the finale ending. There’s also the matter of the highly hated reset button which erased all the alternate identities from existence, which had many viewers arguing mental disorders don’t work like that.
The alternate identities were good for the most part. Chester was the most useless, only complaining for comic relief and making problems worse when he does try. Svetlana was helpful in athletic situations, allowing Mike to navigate challenges quicker. While Vito did cause minor love triangle drama with Anne Maria, he was helpful to a degree when it came to physical fights. Manitoba Smith was arguably the most helpful since he could navigate the mutated wildlife and was strong enough to fight like Vito. Mal could have been a neat evil alternate identity, but considering the writing for the entire season was bad, his role as the season’s antagonist seemed less threatening than it should have been.
While many might not want Mike back in the game, I would simply so the writers could retcon that stupid reset button and bring back the alternate identities to undo that whole controversy.

Ridonculous Race Season 2, Team: The Jocks
I finished the picture!
Tumblr media
Also, quick sketch-ies of their swimsuits because I wanted to.
Tumblr media
Notes on the Original and Modified Character Designs:
Brick-
I made his crew-cut fluffier because the floof keeps him looking young and not like a grown-ass man. (I also got rid of that stupid maple leaf widows peak whatever the fuck his hair line is because I fucking hate it.)
I never realized how stupid the shorts where until I saw him drawn in other styles. Dawn didn't even need to look at his aura, she just saw the shorts and said "that's some bottom shit chief". And, as you can see, I did not change it, because I love that for him.
And now, I present a "rant" about Brick's tank top: one thing people seem to forget about Brick is that he's kind-of a show boat. Like, his first confessional was spent flexing his arms and talking about how "strong and capable" he is. That being said, he's the only other TD boy to ever wear a shirt with their bathing suit (the only other one being Mike and we all know why he wears one.) And, as much as I love the theory that he's wearing a tank top because Lighting felt threatened by Brick's six-pack, I will instead posit another explanation. Brick's tank top is white, and what, may I ask, happens when white fabric gets wet? It becomes See-through, pretty much eliminating any intended point of modesty. So why the fuck not just go shirtless or wear any other fucking color? Because Brick McArthur wants to slutty in the most convoluted and indirect way possible to maintain humility and show people his tits. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
Going off my previous over-analysis on the clothing choices of an animated 16 year old from show that came out 10 years ago, I kept the white tank top. :) I just changed his jean shorts to camo-trunks for the swim outfit because who would swim in fucking Levi's? Also, ixnay on the socks and boots because what the fuck where the animators doing when they did "Backstabbers Ahoy"? Like, did he just want to feel taller? It's not like he's short.
[corrected] To elaborate on the height thing, I'm pretty sure Total Drama doesn't have cannon heights for anyone but Alejandro (6ft, mentioned in "Rapa Phooey!"). On top of that, TD doesn't maintain that good of a scale throughout it, an example of this between Brick and Jo is how in "Truth or Laser Shark" Brick towers over his whole team on their way to the Obsta-Kill Course but is seen as being around the same height as Jo in other episodes and scenes. That being said, I'm going to head-cannon him as being around 6'0"-6'1" without boots. I'd imagine the heels of his boots are 1-2 inches tall so he'd been 6'1" at the shortest and 6'3" at the tallest with boots on. (Height thing to be continued in Jo's portion.)
Jo-
Jo wearing a red-toned and blue-toned gray together makes me irrationally upset. Like, girl, either pick and stick with an undertone or wear more black, it's not that hard.
The way her hair is drawn in TD makes me this it's greasy as shit, like, bitch, shampoo exists. I sketched it as being fluffier but then I was like "nah, looking like a grease rat is apart of Jo's charm".
I hate the color of her shoes, artificial and natural mint have no right to be this close to each other. Even if they're meant to be grass-stained or some shit, I still fucking hate it. Again, Jo, ma'am, you don't understand colors, just wear black.
First three points aside, I do think character design should reflect who the character is and, in my humble opinion, Jo's design (as frustrating as her color combinations and greasy hair are) does exactly that. She's a rough-around-the-edges tomboy that doesn't give a fuck, at least, that's the image she's trying to put out. So yeah, that's why I gave her main design no significant changes despite my complaints about it.
But, I did change her swimsuit because her original one is soo fucking bad and it makes me uncomfortable. Like, you're really trying to tell me that Jo wears a one piece? No, no, no. She wears boys trunks and a baggy t-shirt, don't try and tell me otherwise.
Back to the height thing. I don't know where this number comes from, but I personally head-cannon Jo as being 5'10"-5'11". Yeah, I know that would make her a tall girl but she is the tallest Revenge girl (excluding Dakotazoid for obvious reasons) and would help explain Lightning's miss-identification of Jo as a boy. I also just feel like making her tall makes sense for her character. She doesn't fit in with really any one group, let alone the girls her age, so making her stature distinct from the other girls exemplifies her estrangement from what other's consider traditionally feminine. (Of course, I don't personally agree with this. Femininity and masculinity are social constructs but Total Drama is meant to take place in modern day Canada, therefore Jo's character and design is affected by contemporary gender roles.)
One thing that bugged me in Revenge is that Jo's whistle literally only shows up around her neck for one episode for plot reasons. So, for the sake of my own sanity, I'm just gonna say it's always under neither her hoodie and overtop her undershirt. (It's not important but it's just something I wanted to establish for myself.)
Okay, so onto the shit that actually matters for this project-
Team Dynamic and Background Information for Ridonculous Race Season 2:
If you've seen my original post on these two being a RR team, know that I've made some conceptual changes since then. Still feel free to check out that post if you want, some things will stay the same. Stay tuned to figure out what will and won't change.
One thing I didn't realize was that the Flush of Shame took the contestants to different parts of the world. (I don't remember watching All Stars on cable and I definitely didn't stick around for end credits as a child, so that's my justification for not knowing about the extras.) So, it wasn't until I read "The Egypt Trip" on AO3 that I realized it was a common theory that past contestants picked up the eliminated from their flushed locations. Just know that Egypt will be mentioned in their Ridonculous Race plotline as I am now working off of the head-cannon that Brick brought Jo back to Canada after her elimination in All Stars.
As this is Ridonculous Race Season 2, Brick and Jo haven't shared the screen for three seasons (All Stars, Pahkitew and RR S1). All Stars and Pahkitew canonically take place one year after Revenge. We know RR happens after Pahkitew, but we don't know how much time has passed, so I'm just gonna have to fudge some numbers on how many years after Pahkitew this hypothetical Ridonculous Race Season 2 would take place. Shit happens pretty fast in the TD universe so let's just say it's been around 2 years since Revenge happened. Making Brick and Jo, assuming they are 16 in ROTI, around the age of 18 in RR season 2. (Again, this isn't that important for the story. It was mainly just something I personally needed to establish for my own timeline.) Just keep in mind that these two haven't seen each other in about a year. They are reuniting for the purpose of doing the race (this will be explained in the story).
I am also head-cannoning Brick and Jo as both being from Manitoba. Like Egypt, them living in the same province will be brought up during their plotline. My choice of province was also inspired by CactusPot ("hello" to Leslie if she's reading this. It's like my 3rd or 4th time I've brought her up on my blog, but I just wanted to make sure I'm giving her credit on the ideas I took from her fanfictions.)
Despite the fact that these two haven't seen each other in a year, neither Brick nor Jo have changed very much. Brick still has his military thing (thought his relationship with that and how his love of fashion now intersects with that will be discussed in the fic) and is overall still a kind-hearted and clumsy idiot. Jo is still brooding and confrontational, but, this will explored as a front Jo puts up in-order to protect herself.
If you did read my original post where I explained the potential for character development this concept provides, you know that the RR format is going to be essential for Jo's character growth. Since her and Brick are now a packaged deal, she can't get rid of him without compromising her need to dominate the competition. Along with that, the longer they stay in the race, the more her aggressive façade will fall and her true problems will be exposed and; Brick, being himself, is going to feel the need to help her through it. However, due to his time on Revenge, he also is not going to tolerate blatant disrespect or Jo's refusing to be cooperative. To overview: something's gotta give and both of these motherfuckers are as stubborn as hell.
Personal Life Head-Cannon Speed Round:
Brick-
[revised] His full name is Alexander Grant McArthur. (Brick is just a nickname he got from a Junior Army Boot Camp as a kid, shortened version of Brickhouse.)
[new] He is of Scottish, Romanian, and Turkish decent.
He has an older sister named Elizabeth (nicknamed Liberty), she lives in Toronto with her girlfriend Jordan (might be mentioned in story). He also has three little sisters and 1 little brother (I don't care about them. They just exist.)
His mother works at a nursing home (she used to be an Army Nurse before having her children) and his father is an active Army General. They're in their mid-to-late forties.
Due to both of his parents being soo busy growing up, both Brick and Liberty had to play a parent-like role for their four younger siblings. (The age gap between Brick and Liberty is much smaller than the age gap between Brick and the oldest of his younger siblings.)
[new] He probably grew up going to church (like, more than just the standard Sunday service) and watched a lot of Veggie Tales and other religious programs. I still think he went to public school and was allowed to watch secular media while at a friends' houses, it was just more of a "not in my house" kinda rule set by his parents.
He is heterosexual. (I honestly think he's just a straight guy who likes fashion and has unconventional taste in women. You can have whatever head-cannon you want about his sexuality, I don't care.)
Jo-
[revised] Her full name is Joanne Grace Snyder.
[new] She is mainly of Polish, Czech, and German decent.
Her parents are divorced and messy divorced at that. She lives with her dad, who has only dated since the divorce. Meanwhile, Jo's mom was remarried within a few years and hasn't been in regular contact with her daughter since. (Might be mentioned in story.)
She has two younger brothers who she doesn't know much about due to them being from her mother's second marriage.
Her main source of companionship is her pet pit bull, Bolder, who is actually a huge sweetheart. (Surprise, surprise, the "Take-No-Prisoners Jockette" has a pupper that people stereotype as being mean and overly aggressive.)
[new] She definitely grew up watching Adult Swim. Like, she didn't watch normal cartoons at all and skipped right to South Park and Futurama reruns.
This might just be me but I truly believe that 90% of Jo's energy comes from caffeinated drinks and pure spite (might be brought up in story).
Like Brick, I think Jo is straight. I also know that some people head-cannon her as trans, I do not (neither as mtf nor ftm). (Same disclaimer as with Brick, you can have whatever opinion you want. I just think she has anger issues and is insecure with her femininity, not a lesbian or transgender.)
What's Next for Ridonculous Race Season 2?
I will be illustrating a team picture and writing an info-post (like this one) for each of the 17 remaining teams before writing the fic. (This will give me time to pick locations, create OC's and plan out the season while providing content in the mean time.)
The next team to officially join the lineup will be two returning competitors to the Total Drama franchise. After that, they're will only be one more returning character, the rest of the 31 members of the cast (excluding Don and locals) are going to be my own original characters made for the purpose of this fic.
I have adding the tag #TDRR Season 2 to all posts currently found and to be found on this project, as well as a featured tag on my blog. (Feel free to use this tag when referring to this fanfiction and / or any original characters from it.)
Please be patient with me as I am doing this alone and have a part-time job (and, depending on if I move this summer or not, getting a full-time job and maintaining my own apartment may become a part of the equation.) So, yes, I have a laundry list of tasks to do all by myself so I just ask that you be forgiving of my productivity timeline. Thank you.

@kriskubed says: I think maybe bc it was only for S2 and Brittana weren’t an official couple yet?
Maybe? I suppose I won't be surprised when they watch Season 3 - but if they try to sell me that early Season 3 is better than any of Season 2.... I just won't know what to say...
@ipwarn says: Oh yes. They have absolutely no interest in Klaine and Jenna at least seems to hate everything warbler related. But it's still nice to hear them chat about the show. Hopefully the strike ends soon and they can start having cast and crew back on.
I give Kevin some credit for at least trying every once in a while. Idk what's going on with Jenna but she doesn't seem to like anything -- and kind of seems to latch onto whatever Kevin's opinion is. It's weird to me that she seemed so into doing this podcast. Idk. I agree, though, it'll be nice when they can start having cast and crew back, because the interviews have been, by far, the best part of this experience.
@1908jmd says : My impression was Klaine came first in the poll but they continued to talk much more about Britanna. Plus in the songs poll - how many people really voted? Say they had 200 votes and Kevin said there could have been 50 selected songs - probably because most songs only got a handful of votes. And maybe some of Santana’s songs got more votes than others because Kevin and Jenna had talked so much about them in recent weeks. They were totally surprised SOWK was top 5 -well we know on tumblr that’s one if Blaine’s most loved songs, so I’m not surprised. I find it much more surprising TD also wasn’t top 5, probably Bico and several of Kurt’s should have been in there too, but kj hadn’t given those much attention on the podcasts.
Yeah, I can understand recency bias -- and Kevin's opinions probably swayed thing as well. and that does make sense that a lot of other things would be split.
I'm glad they mentioned, at the very least, how great Chris was this season --- even if they really didn't mention Kurt's whole arc. It is sad to me that they didn't bring up any of his solos.
Man all of this really makes me want to podcast again -- and just do an in depth podcast on every aspect of the show, not just the parts I like. *shrugs*

hi! im gonna say seiga or miko for the ask game!
seiga was just done over here but she's about to come up soon :P ! so that toyosatomimi...
General opinion/How much I care about them: i love miko... 🎧 i mentioned before about coming to love the td crew as a whole over a long time of reading doujins featuring them and Miko is obviously a big part of that too. she and her crew are such a fun addition to gensokyo's worldbuilding and Miko herself is amazing. zun's historical rpf version of prince shotoku who became a hot girl wizard and wants to take over the world and is super charismatic about it? that's unmatched.
...that said, kind of a tangent here, her premise and deliberately kinda nationalistic motifs are only fun in touhou because she's contrasted with a bunch of similarly ambitious reglious leaders and their own groups, and that you know none of them would ever actually ever 'succeed'. They'll probably always be competition and waning in powers, but that consistent conflict is sort of its own kind of peace since gensokyo can always accomodate them.
A ship I love: hey guess what im not done talking about seiga because its seimiko time. just like seiyoshi i also have a really specific headcanon backstory in mind for them which i cant really get into all of it right now, but to try and sum up: Even if Miko knew Seiga's desires were only self-serving, she admired/respected/idolised/loved Seiga who appeared before her to answer all of Miko's greatest desires, and at some point decide it wasnt enough to just learn how to not die from her, but to also become a beautiful hermit who challenges the fate the world bestows them.
And it mustve been unexpected for Seiga to meet someone who managed to see her for everything she is (which includes defiling corpses and generally making an enemy of heaven every day), and not only not really care but also Gets Her.
thaaaaat all being said, in present day Miko knows Seiga has a Reputation and gets up to Antics that doesn't exactly paint hermits in the greatest light, so she's like always bouncing between two ends of a meter where she's begging her dear teacher to reign things in, or she's trying to explain to others why digging up corpses is actually not as bad as it looks 😰🥰
A non-romantic relationship that I love: it doesnt come up in my head often but her shared parenting of Kokoro along with Byakuren and Mamizou is both sweet and extremely funny. Miko taking it upon herself as a matter of pride to guide the menreiki thanks to her role in their creation is really good, and its also really funny that despite that connection she still basically has to compete with others over her, and she probably loses to the tanuki more often than not??
also does 'ex-romantic' count because i absolutely adhere to belief that in her and okina's former lives, they absolutely were a thing, bonded over a shared love of art and beauty, created a whole bunch of noh masks together... But then Miko started caring about all that a whole lot less when a certain hermit hailing from China entered the picture, and the rest was history 😌
The NOTP: call me miss no fun but it might be miko/byakuren. i do actually really love the rivalry between miko and byakuren, the back and forths, the varying hypocrisy, the thematic parallels, and the ways they do manage to work together for a common cause! I just. have yet to see a way to turn it romantic that works for me.
also on that note if you're gonna do miko/saki (which will always just be for jokes to me and never anything i sincerely consider), saki has to be the one putting a saddle on miko 🤠
My biggest headcanon about them: everything above was kinda it 😆 maybe more will come to my mind in the future...
An idea for a fanfiction I would like to write/read about them: she'd be in the seiga backstory fic too since their first meeting is kinda vital to both characters. but as for another idea... Adventure Game type story where to earn points with the people, she susses out some random people's desires and goes to find the most quick and expedient way to fulfill them n_n
Something that makes me think of them: one time in pokemon xy i thought of naming an espurr after her because i knew meowstic kinda reminded me of her 🐱

TWD 11x22: First Thoughts
How did everyone like ep 22? I liked it a lot. I won’t say there was tons and tons of TD symbolism. Some things to talk about for sure, but it was more of an action filled episode, which always means slightly less symbolism. But that’s okay with me. They’re barreling toward the end of this arc with the CW and toward the end of the flagship series, and obviously they’re trying to squeeze a lot in.
***As always, spoilers abound below for the episode. Don’t read until you’ve watched!***
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Probably the biggest thing I saw here was that Negan and Annie are in a Bethyl template. I’ve mentioned this in previous weeks. The part where Negan is assaulted by the troopers on the train tracks, and then Annie tries to attack them and is dragged away, is a parallel to when Beth was taken from the funeral home. Negan even dropped the map at that part, which lines up with Beth dropping her black bag fully of stuff.
Later, when Negan and Zeke go to talk to Tyler, who at first refuses to help them, Negan is twirling his spoon all around, as if he really wants us to notice it. Spoon parallels, especially to Beth’s spoon at the golf club.
Tumblr media
They do meet later when he goes to see her and she’s napping. But the template isn’t complete yet. I’m not sure whether to believe recent spoilers that have surfaced. Taking them with a grain of salt for now. But either way, it will be interesting to see where this goes.
Tumblr media
I’m going to do a whole post about the Donnie situation. Probably tomorrow. But for now, let’s just point out that literally NOTHING happened. People were afraid this would be the episode where Donnie would go canon, because of this tunnel scene. People were calling it the “tunnel of love” because of a song that was attached to it by the TWD crew. But guys, literally nothing happened. There was no plot at all in the tunnel. They used it to get inside Alexandria, which was important, but that’s it. While traveling through the tunnel, they said about four sentences to one another. No more. People have got to stop freaking out about Donnie.
I get that the writers are teasing/trolling it pretty hard right now. But we’ve always said Donnie would not be a romantic thing and, yet again, we were right. There are only two episodes left in the flagship show and then Lauren Ridloff has about 5 projects lined up that are NOT TWD. So I’m telling  you, they’re not about to force a relationship in less than 2 episodes, when they have a billion other things to do to tie up the CW arc.
Tumblr media
That’s all I’ll say for today. Tomorrow I’ll do a deeper dive into what we’ve seen with these two lately and what it means.
Other things of note in this episode. Luke and Jules resurfaced, which was fun. The thing that stuck out to me is them saying that they were gone when the CW took over, and returned to find their home had been enslaved. Just jumped out at me as similar to the Charleston/Swamp Fox template, which we believe to be a Beth foreshadow. I’ll keep an eye on this as the story line progresses.’
Tumblr media
Of course Lydia dropped a knife that was picked up by a smart walker. Not sure where they’re going with that, but kind of freaky, right? Of course Eugene was found guilty and sentenced to death.
And Mercer finally decided to do the right thing. I thought Maggie’s ‘bring it’ line from last episode was pretty awesome. But Mercer managed to top it here! ;D
Tumblr media
The title of the episode is interesting. I had to think long and hard about what it means and why they called the episode this. And of course my fellow theorists helped out a lot, too. They pointed out that we have several martyrs in this episode. Eugene is a martyr, having been unjustly found guilty of something he didn’t truly do. Negan offers himself as a sacrifice to save his wife. Annie is then chosen as an unwilling sacrifice, though she’s completely innocent. (Something we’ve often said about Beth in Coda.) Ezekiel then stands between them, and others join him. So, the episode is full of martyrs who, through a show of faith, do the right thing, and are rewarded in the end. So, it’s kind of a “faith precedes the miracle” sort of theme.
Tumblr media
How does this relate to Beth? Well, aside from being a reference to what she believes and some of her direct dialogue in Inmates, I also think it’s more of what we’ve already seen, in that this is a retelling of 4b, but the results are different.
I’ll talk about this in more detail later in the week, but last episode, Carol said to Maggie that they were no longer alone and would figure this out. That’s the opposite of what happened in 4x13, Alone. Beth was taken, alone, to Grady. Daryl was left, alone, without her. While the other characters might not have been completely alone, they were separated into small groups. With Carol saying they aren’t alone anymore, it’s a direct opposite to what happened before.
Similarly, when Beth told Daryl to have faith, he said faith hadn’t done shit for them. So, it was a denial of faith on his part. Here, we’re seeing people practice faith and be rewarded for it. So, retelling of S4, but also kind of the opposite. Things will be better this time around. Now, we’re just waiting for Beth to show up.
Tumblr media
Other than that, Maggie finds Hershel, and it’s unclear what they were doing with him in that room, but he doesn’t know where the other kiddos are. They’re still missing, but may be somewhere in Alexandria. I’ll stop there for tonight. But stay tuned. Lots more to discuss from this episode.

canon x oc (Lawrin) he/they law, angst(?) word count: 0.7k
Many changes would shake the world following the events of Marineford, both big and small. One of them being the commodification of the Tone Dial, courtesy of Brook and his music along his road to stardom, but of course once they were in circulation, that wasn’t the only thing the public used it for.
Law hunched over the strange device on their workspace, inspecting it briefly but otherwise still seemed apprehensive. Their partner had assured him that it was perfectly harmless as he explained how to use it, following Law’s initial scrutinous gaze.
Kirin had laughed back then, peppered butterfly kisses across Law’s cheeks. They pushed those thoughts aside. They were having a hard time trying to focus tonight, too many thoughts filling up too little space, so a distraction was needed. Among other functions, Kirin also mentioned that he’d recorded something on this TD to serve as an example, a reading of some story off his shelf.
Switching it on, the tension in their shoulders gradually fizzled out as Law heard his partner rummaging around and fiddling through the sky island native device’s buttons.
The reading was amateurish - being nice about it; Kirin kept getting distracted, talking about things unrelated, clearing his throat, and Law could hear ambient noises from the crew throughout, as if he hadn’t kept in one place while reading. It was good enough background noise, though, the Heart captain was back to being buried in his studies within the hour.
Kirin in the recording seemed to find his rhythm, too, managing to find a relatively quiet spot and from them on the disturbances were kept to a minimum.
If you asked him, Law probably wouldn’t be able to tell you what the actual plot of the book was. It’s genre was romance, nothing they were interested in and frankly was grateful for since if Kirin had read something he did like, Law probably wouldn’t be paying much attention to his own work.
Law leaned back in their chair to stretch, satisfied with how much he’d been able to get done that day. Glancing at the clock that adorned his wall, they noted that Penguin would be up here in a few to call them down for dinner. His gaze turned towards the Tone Dial, its use no longer needed - their attention was caught before Law could turn it off, however.
「 These words only carry a fraction of my feelings for you. They are as vast as the ocean that keeps us apart.
I long to feel your lips on mine and caress the intricate lines on your body.
My soul yearns for you, ekes out what solace it can find until we are joined again, whole.
You’ve lit a fire in my chest and it consumes my flesh evermore, burning desire only tapered by the warmth I feel by your side, darling.
My being aches in your absence.
Sweetheart, my dearest moonlight - wait for me. 」
Something hollow made itself known in their chest, a viscous sinking feeling in the depth of their stomach followed suit - how long had it been since he made the decision to cut contact? About a month ago, but there were already two messages on their snail phone that Law refused to listen to.
This was their compromise - a way to hear his partner’s voice without letting his emotions sway them. That was the plan, anyway.
The plan for what, exactly - shutting everyone out so you could die guiltlessly at Doffy’s hand?
A knock at the door breaks Law out of their stupor, blinks the pooling moisture from their eyes, too, as they tell whoever it is on the other wise that he’d be out in a minute. Stewing in his feelings, he feels like he might need a little longer but simply suppresses those inclinations like everything else up until this point.
He’d made up his mind, taking down Doflamingo came first and Law wouldn’t forgive themselves if anyone got hurt fighting his battles more people meant more liabilities. This was their past to put to rest, and theirs alone.
But if he did survive, well, he’d simply have to make sure that Kirin didn’t live down his poeticism.

i wish to ramble about/review the touhou games i have played. on my blog
disclaimer i am not good enough to beat extra stages.
touhou 6 eosd-- a classic. cannot objectively rank the characters because they are bigger than the game theyre from. (though i do think rumia and remilia deserve more attention than they get. remi seems to play second fiddle to her sister and maid fandom-wise) gameplay is... okay! rng heavy which is cringe but id say difficulty is solidly in the middle. i play with visible-hitbox patch. stage 4 can be rough and Fucking Sakuya but its fun! music i also cannot objectively rank, but its good!
touhou 10 mof-- i have barely played this game i mostly just abuse the marisaB glitch. music is amazing, autumnal atmosphere is great. i dont care much for the midgame bosses but the early game gods and the moriya shrine crew are really good. bullet patterns suck though. you get bullet walls too often in stage 4+. also my widescreen monitor doesnt treat it very well. the bomb system sucks a little esp with the fact theres no unique bombs per shot type or even character. laaame. game id rather look at and listen to than play. i really like zuns art style here its very expressive
touhou 13 td-- ehhh? something abt the vibes of this game are kinda dull, even though the Components are pretty good. maybe its the dark backdrops and kind of low-stakes plot. i like the cast and the art, music is good (old yuanshen and desire drive epic moments). hate the spirits/trance system it gets me killed too often and adds Death Lag and generally makes resources a hassle. very punishing if you die :( with the losing 1 whole power and your trance gauge (and again, the death lag when you trance upon death, it makes it less fun bc it takes you out of the flow...) honorable mention for having probably my favorite spellcard (oomonoimi’s dinner on normal difficulty). dishonorable mention for yoshikas spellcards
touhou 14 ddc-- i want to like this game but. i dont really. i like the plot and cast (minus the tsukumos im sorry i want to like them but theyre so dull...) the art looks... wonky here. the difficulty curve feels wonky, stage 3 is kind of spammy and i just dont feel like i ever Earn the deaths i take. the resource system is fine enough. seija my blorbo. the music is kind of repetitive and lacks some oomph. (primordial beat earns some points for the percussion though.)
touhou 15 lolk-- games good at what it sets out to do, which is “be absolute bullshit”. like its fun to push through these rather unfair patterns and challenge over and over, but legacy mode probably suffers immensely from this. also i think pointdevice should be allowed in extra. characters are all really good, music is great, arts good. vibes are good. not the same as other TH games, and yes it is quite bullshit, but i enjoy it
touhou 16 hsifs-- eh. kind of neutral on this one as a whole. very bright and fun game, but sometimes its hard to see the bullets on the bright bgs. cast is forgettable minus okina and the backup dancers. ppl say the dancers are forgettable too but i disagree they have fun theming both musically and as characters and i like their dynamic! they have a bit of personality and its understandable that they arent SUPER overt with that characterization because. like. theyre not meant to be all that independent. okina is epic. art’s crisp. fuck stage 4 and 5 and behind festival. musics good.

Would you ever write, and I know this is very early days, your Girl Gang crossing over into MotA?
Oh, absolutely. This is the Darkening Sky cinematic universe we're talking about. The flyboys are not immune - TDS crossovers will be inevitable. The fun thing about Masters of the Air is that because this is a different service branch, I have to think long and hard about what the repercussions for allowing women into front line infantry service will do for the Army Air Corps.
I've sort of skirted around the idea that the Marines have said no to women in forward roles, and it's been suggested the Navy may be okay with women in very specific-but-not-quite-forward roles as well. I think - and I still have to play around with this a little more - that the Air Corps will, like the Marines, decide that there are some bridges they will not cross, initially, and letting women fly the bombers into combat is not one of them. (Or maybe it would be? Maybe there's some value to small and agile ball turret gunners. And there's the problem, too, of what happens when women are shot down and become prisoners of war. Because that will happen. That's what always happens when you put people into planes. ) Maybe that's the crux there - that they'll let them ferry the planes to the field, let them fly and fight as crew, but never be in charge of the whole plane.
Eileen will be someone's nose art. It has to happen. Joan might be on someone's plane, too, depending on what I decide Kurt is flying.
Obviously I'll need to think about this a little more. Regardless, I *do* have some characters kicking around the edges of the airfield already - one of them, Edie, is from an earlier abandoned project, and two more of them don't have names. One went to school with Joan - a pole vaulter and hurdler - and one is a flight nurse who doesn't suffer fools.
[would you ever write... askbox meme. ask more here!]

Rant cuz I can't handle it. Total drama is in the tags cuz its mentioned, but this is mainly about ocs, so u can skip it if wanted :3
okay so uh idk where to really start I'm typing this as I think of it so let's start with the [REDACTED] stuff. basically like bro has just betrayed Variant and Titanium because he's gone crazy over Trent and Justin, but I'm not sure what caused it cuz Variant hasn't gone crazy so I'm just not sure?? he's also teamed up with Gen and Fylful and that isn't good I'm really worried and hope that the new World Guardian is chosen soon before a Higher Up has to step in. I'm also kinda wondering if Russel will attempt to get rid of [REDACTED] again cuz i think he's still mad over the plotting to kill Ezekiel thing. Also like where did Fox go?? I don't know if he will returned so I might put a recovered for his project cuz I don't think he plans on returning. There might be another dragon clan member?? like Electro just got here tho but something tells me that we will get another one that will finally be on our side, which is so good literally yippee!! oh god I just remembered the TV crew Lobster just joined them and I'm worried she will fully leave the TV and join the td group like I don't want more characters in the group it's getting out of hand its always been out of hand I'm going crazy I swear to god how do I make this stop I love total drama but these characters are driving me insane.. anyways! really hope Variant will stop avoiding Harold I think it would be better to not risk Corruption and I know that hes recovered enough to interact with him. Ngl sweet tea is soo good. I also kinda wonder about the whole Alejandro situation cuz [REDACTED] called out Titanium for not actually being over him and like even I'm shocked! I actually don't know much about these characters unless its said outloud or was their during their starting stuff. ig I don't blame Titanium cuz like he's missing an arm just to keep Alejandro safe from Gen putting him back in that dam robot. Actually, like tf is her problem?? wait is there a word limit on these maybe I should stop. yea this is it for now, just going to listen to The Moon Will Sing.

San Jose State defeats UNLV takes early domination in MWC West
SAN JOSE — UNLV introduced the Mountain West Convention’s prime offensive to CEFCU on Friday evening, and the San Jose State protection did not blink. The Spartans took a 33-0 lead halfway by the third quarter and raced to a 40-7 win in entrance of 16,669 followers to safe the one first-place possession within the MWC West Division. UNLV, who averaged 37.8 factors and gave Cal all he may deal with in a 20-14 loss at Berkeley, did nearly nothing in opposition to the Spartans till the rating was in hand. The Spartans (4-1, 2-0) arrived subsequent Saturday to face long-time rival Fresno State (1-3, 0-0). Quarterback Shivan Cordero, MWC Offensive Participant of the Week, was in command all evening, passing for 230 yards and two touchdowns and speeding for a season’s greatest at 109 yards and two TDs. However the joint chief on Friday evening was the Spartans protection, who saved their fourth opponent in 5 video games beneath 20 factors. SJSU restricted UNLV to 213 low whole yards for the season. The Spartans had a 23-0 lead on the finish of the primary half when Taryn Schiff transformed a 25-yard subject aim on the primary possession within the third quarter. It received worse for the Rebels (4-2, 2-1 MW) when SJSU superior 62 yards in simply three performs on its subsequent possession, together with finishing 36 yards from Cordero to finish Dominic Mazzutti’s tightness. Cordero then threw a 22-yard TD move to Mazotti to guide 33-0 with an 8:09 left within the third quarter. It was the Spartans’ largest advance in a sport since a 35-0 margin in opposition to Hawaii on November 21, 2015, a SJSU sport successful 42-23. The Rebels ended SJSU’s bid for his or her first shut in a convention sport since 1988 when reserve quarterback Cameron Friel threw a 14-yard landing move to Senika McKie with 2:52 left within the third interval. However SJSU saved a seven from 60 yards that included a 29-yard run by Cordero earlier than a 20-yard TD shot into Elijah Cooks in his final shot of the sport to guide 40-7 with a 9:28 left. The Spartans outplayed the Rebels 249 yards to 116 within the first inning and made a 15-5 edge on the primary landing. SJSU transformed 4 of 6 possibilities to 3rd whereas UNLV was 0 for five in these positions. Cordero led a floor sport that collected 148 yard speeding by scoring in dashes of 10 and 15 yards. He additionally had 36 yards between 79 yards within the half and was 11 for 17 yards for 101 yards. Robinson scored the Spartans’ first TD at 9 yards that exploded within the center of their first capped 12-play, 76-yard drive into their opening possession of the sport. Robinson had 61 speeding yards by the primary half. SJSU mixed scoring drives from 76, 80 and 73 yards, the latter of which led to Skeff’s 43-yard subject aim that capped his first-half scoring. UNLV quarterback Doug Broomfield, who entered the sport by finishing higher than 70 p.c of his passes, began a 1-for-6 move for 8 yards earlier than being pulled early within the second quarter. The decision went to Friel, a sophomore who wasn’t even on the crew’s two-pronged chart. Friel could not deal with a strong, excessive shot in his first play and defensive finish, Noah Lavolo reclaimed the free ball for the Spartans at Las Vegas’ 15-yard streak. Cordero scored from there in opposition to a goalkeeper within the subsequent sport to advance 20-0 earlier than leaving the 12:13 sport. Originally published at San Jose News HQ

Freewill Shakespeare - LX Crew
This has been an incredible experience. LX Crew has been Anna Davidson, Rhiannon, Myckenzie and me. Geoff George is lighting head. Levon is TD. Anna and Rhiannon helped the first two days (install and hang).
Today I saw Connor MacDonald and Hannah Bailey, they were doing the set install.
I also saw Sherry. GG had to leave because he wasn't feeling well so he left me to patch the plot into the Gio. Sherry wanted to brush up on her board op skills so I read out the plot to her.
Everything worked and it was beautiful.
Earlier today, Myckenzie, GG, and I tried to test the dmx by testing one lamp in the booth and it drove us nuts for an hour. We couldn't get power to it at all. It was really fun.
I'm very capable in lighting. I'm finding my feet.
Clayton told me to fully leave school today. He's moving to Arizona in 2 weeks but wanted to hire me as the apprentice stage manager for the whole season. People joined in telling me it wasn't worth it to go to school. I really considered it and was excited that I didn't have to go back but then I called Jacy who laid it in on me that education is never a waste. I will be finishing my degree. She promised me that her, Matt and Gal will come to my graduation.
Super duper good day.
