The Detective's Banquet 1
Writer: Mitsuki
Character(s): Shino Hajime, Mashiro Tomoya, Hidaka Hokuto, Sakuma Ritsu, Isara Mao, Hasumi Keito, Sakuma Rei, Kazehaya Tatsumi, HiMERU, Shiina Niki
Translated by: jewwyfeesh
Hokuto: Analysis result: no signs of life have been detected.
Tumblr media
Season: Autumn Location: Luxury Hotel Room
Tumblr media
[A dark and stormy night, in a certain hotel room…]
Tomoya: How did it end up like this…
At first, it was meant to be a one-off banquet with inference and logical reasoning as its main theme, but… suddenly, there was a real case to be solved.
Tumblr media
Due to the unexpected rainstorm, the once comfy holiday spot became an island isolated from the outside world. Everyone’s stuck here, unable to leave.
We were like beasts trapped in a cage – despite looking for clues all over the place, wracking our brains trying to reason it out, we still couldn’t find the killer hidden amongst us.
As time went by, I had an ominous premonition. That’s why I’m here, recording, narrating my side of the story as truthfully as I can.
Afterwards, I’ll hide the memory card away. If something unexpected were to happen to me, I hope that there would be someone who’ll find the clues I’ve left behind, and bring the truth to light.
Tumblr media
I remember that—
Tumblr media
……?!
Tumblr media
W-who…? Who’s there!
Tumblr media
???: It seems like you didn’t close your door fully, ‘High School Student Detective’.
Location: Dead End Cafe
Tumblr media
[The afternoon before, in the holiday resort’s main cafe area]
Rei: Dearest detectives, welcome to this island, an island far away from any hustle and bustle. I have prepared a banquet to welcome you seven, and of course, in this feast of inference… mysteries do run aplenty.
While we are to temporarily stay within the boundaries of the hotel due to the sudden storm, I assure you that the service here is the best of the best.
As the owner of this island, as well as the organizer of the banquet… Without further ado, kindly allow me to introduce the detectives that have gathered here today.
Tumblr media
First of all, we have my little brother, Ritsu. The media has bestowed upon him the title of ‘Vampire Detective’, but I sincerely doubt those reports that shower him with praise have sufficiently showcased Ritsu’s unparalleled intellect and cuteness—
Ritsu: Haha, anija really loves to joke, doesn’t he? There are other skilled detectives here as well, and I don’t intend on making a fool of myself in front of the real experts. Please pay him no mind, and enjoy the banquet.
Rei: I’m sure everyone’s heard of this person — possessing superb reasoning ability and the ability to solve a case without stepping foot on scene… we have the aptly named ‘Armchair Detective’!
HiMERU: Thank you for the invitation, Sakuma-san. HiMERU is very happy for this opportunity to engage the other detectives in discussions of reason.
Tumblr media
Tatsumi: I didn’t expect to see you here, HiMERU-san; I really do look forward to working on solving these with you ♪
HiMERU: Likewise. HiMERU wasn’t expecting to bump into you here either.
Tatsumi: Aah, I almost forgot to introduce myself to you all. I’m Kazehaya Tatsumi, a pastor from a nearby church. I happened to have helped solve a few cases while working. As such, I was referred to as the ‘Clergyman Detective’.
Tumblr media
Mao: Both an idol and a detective, I am Trickstar’s Isara Mao ☆
Despite being called the ‘Idol Detective’, I only helped to investigate a case before a concert, which allowed the event to proceed as planned… it’s not really something worth boasting about…
Hajime: I’m the ‘Part-time Detective’ Shino Hajime. If you need anything, please feel free to approach me ♪
Tumblr media
Tomoya: Erm… I’m the ‘High School Student Detective’, Mashiro Tomoya… Nothing special about me.
(Why are all the acting roles I get so plain… At the very least, I would’ve liked a higher rank or title of some sort… something like ‘Super High Schxxl Detective’, maybe. That does sound way cooler.)
(Ah, Hokuto-senpai’s about to do his introduction! I better pay attention.)
Tumblr media
Hokuto: Hidaka Hokuto. ‘Bionic Detective’. Serial Number 3A1217.
Tomoya: (I nearly forgot that Hokuto-senpai’s character is an android who uses arithmetic calculations to emulate personalities… It does sound very difficult to pull off, but Hokuto-senpai definitely won’t have a problem!)
Rei: Now that everyone has gotten to a little more about the companions you’ll be embarking on this analytical journey with… Before we kick start the competition of brains and observational skills, let us first enjoy a pleasant banquet ♪
As wine will inhibit the brain’s precision and function, kindly allow me to use this cup of blood red tomato juice to prevent that—
Tumblr media
……?!
Ritsu: Anija?!
Tumblr media
H-how could this happen? W-why did he suddenly collapse?
Hokuto: An anomaly has been detected. Automatically running the body scan—
Tumblr media
Analysis result: no signs of life have been detected.
Commencing further testing—
Analysis result: fingernails are pink, complexion is cherry red, and there’s a smell of bitter almonds near the lips. Cause of death tentatively determined to be cyanide poisoning.
Tumblr media
Ritsu: Wh-what…?! No, no! I don’t believe it…
Mao: ……
Hajime: Ritsu Onii-chan… Wait no, ‘Vampire Detective’-san, please restrain your grief…
Tumblr media
HiMERU: That’s right. HiMERU reckons that the most important thing right now is to ascertain the identity of the killer. According to what Sakuma-san said earlier on… due to the raging thunderstorm, everyone is to stay within the boundaries of this hotel for their own safety. That’s to say—
Tatsumi: That person may very well be hiding amongst us.
HiMERU: ……Yes.
Tumblr media
Tomoya: (Whatever happened was really unexpected, yet everyone’s quick on their feet to react! I need to keep up!)
If he was poisoned after consuming the tomato juice, that means that the poison must’ve come from either the juice or the cup, right?
Mao: Indeed, these methods of poisoning are more convenient than others. May I ask who has previously handled these items?
Niki: I was the one in charge of the food and drink for this banquet, but I wouldn’t think of poisoning such holy food!
Tumblr media
Keito: The cutlery was prepared by me. Sakuma-san and I grew up together, close like brothers[1]. I have no motive to kill him.
Tumblr media
Ritsu: I was the one who handed him that glass of tomato juice… if I had known earlier…
Hokuto: Analysis complete. Lethal doses of toxins were not found in the juice nor the vessel.
Tumblr media
Tomoya: —EH?!
Translator's notes: [1] 情同手足 - an idiom that directly translates to "as close as one's hands and feet", which means like brothers / with a brotherly love for each other

having thoughts about toro's new powers so let's go (ig they aren't "new" anymore, but given that marvels done maybe four things with him since he got them it still feels recent)
obviously this is all theorising w/ a little head cannon thrown in but the whole toro situation opens like, five cans of freaky worms. Honestly, the entirety of all new invaders was establishing cool new stuff that could've gone in really neat directions but i digress (cut bc this got looong)
So first off just starting with the powers themselves. They're actually pretty solid. It more or less makes sense that he could have these powers, and since they are established to be instinctual rather than based on his knowledge of chemistry, him looking at jim, thinking 'i want to be just like him' and then copying the chemical reactions around jim? I like it. I think it works. does it mesh perfectly with other canon? no. but as far as retcons go, it works.
next up, this power is actually a really really good fit for toro as a character. see, toro is a kind of "Smart Guy" archetype, but not in the tony stark i have eight degrees and am the xth smartest person in the world sort of way. he's a detective, yes, but he's also what i'll describe as a mcgyver type. in short, he takes what he's given, information or otherwise, and does whatever the fuck he can with it. examples:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
here in The Torch miniseries (2009) he steals a paperclip he uses to (however unsuccessfully) pick a lock. even though he's currently without his powers, he's not helpless. He's taking every advantage he can get his hands on (pun intended)
later in the same story he pretty thoroughly kicks AIM's collective asses with the chains they put him in and a weapon he snatched off a henchman, before overriding the mind control the Torch is under and keeping AIM distracted until Torch can come back and take them out.
this is toro without ANY powers. now, let's give him the ability to take the elements and chemicals around him and change them. he's a problem solver who doesn't give up, who is an expert at piecing things together as he goes, and now he can turn the classic 'put the pyrokinetic in a water tank trap' into a room full of hydrogen and oxygen.
New powers toro is freaking terrifying and he's in the perfect position to get creative with his powers- both showing off an interesting side of his character and making fight scenes that go waaay beyond tradition fight scene fare into some really weird territory, which could be cool.
point the second, his powers have tons of non-combat implications and applications. He could be both a fighter and support ie, namor's dehydrated? drop some h2o on that funky fishman. jim vs fire extinguisher? nah, that's gasoline now. Cap lost/broke his shield? here's a new one. the possibilities for him to help his teammates beyond physically fighting for them are endless. and i think the invaders could use some more of that at this point.
#3- let's talk about mimicry. kind of. so, it's established in all new invaders toro 'created' his fire powers out of a conscious desire to be like his hero, the human torch. AND Jim goes out of the way to point out to namor he could've just as easily imprinted on Namor, and 'grown gills" (not sure how the fuck jim expected him to do that in a pre-2019 invaders world, but it got me thinking) Toro's powers give him a unique ability to fill rolls on the team when members are absent/incapacitated/brainwashed/the villain they're fighting. this could be very cool, and you could really pull the wool over some villain's eyes with 'wait, what invader is this again??" I can see he and bucky getting up to some real tricky shenaniganry.
#4 element of surprise. anyone who's done their homework is expecting 2 fire bois, one stabby assassin, captain goddamn america the first, and a funky fish king. the invaders are a known quantity, they're literally the oldest public superheroes known to most in world villains. suddenly throwing in extra powers on the least publicity seen one would throw villains for one hell of a loop. (bonus points if toro could use some kind of misdirection as to who has the powers and/or make it look like luck or unexplained phenomena, which, as an ex-circus performer, he could probably pull off. funny how that works out)
5- i really just wanted to give an example of where his new powers could've drastically affected cannon, so let's talk about the finale of Invaders 2019 for a minute. In this comic, we've previously established that there is a CHEMICAL compound that can change humans into atlanteans. (it doesn't say specifically about in/Nuhumans/mutants, but since a lot of other things effect them the same or similarly we're assuming there's no major difference here) It's also established that the surface invaders have access to this formula, since Cap and Bucky use it to turn atlantean (and presumably human again, since Bucky isn't blue the next time we see him)
In the finale, the big bad is standing behind a force field thingy that only water breathers can pass through. Great we have Namor. Except BBEG has spent this entire time fucking around with Namor's head and he has the serpent crown. he mind controls namor, who tackles steve and they both go into the water. Now, if Toro had his Nuhuman powers and had previously gotten a look at the chemical compound, he could've replicated it himself. Here he is, with the way to get at the villain that's been messing with and brainwash/manipulating/mindcontroling (very personal for toro) his friend, and who's also trying to end the world. of course toro would take it, and (again with that element of surprise thing) drop out of the sky and at very least distract the villain or separate him from the serpent crown.
So yeah toro's powers + his backstory + his personality could make a real difference and also take his character farther from the boy hostage/Jim's mini-me territory he slips back into in a lot of these team ups.
part two soon i have more thoughts than i thought lol

"Naoto's casual clothes are super cute and I'd love to see them crumpled on my floor." (REO PLS GET AWAY FROM MY PHONE---)
Shit I have said while watching P4
(AMA. CONTROL YOUR MUSE. I MEAN WE KNOW HE LOVES HIS WIFE BUT STILL -)
The first reaction Naoto had to his quite… bold statement was to blush beef-red and bemoan how she should’ve been able to assume this sooner or later. She knew more than well that he thought that his wife was the most beautiful woman in the world and many other things, including their recently “evolved” relationship life.
Though… It could have been worse. He hadn’t used the pet name he always did when trying to either seduce or fluster the detective and she wondered for a second why it occured. Maybe he had focused only on the main message and not uaing the full potential? Either way it gave her a chance to counter back: She’d developed that habit after she’d gotten fed up with only Reo ambushing her and had noticed along the way that he actually enjoyed it. A little teasing never hurt anyone, right?
“…aren’t you forward today, Reo-kun. That might’ve been a little too - direct for outsiders to hear.” She was still a little flustered and it showed in her voice. Thank god he saved the best - or worst, depending on the situation - of his commentary for the times they were in their apartment and the soundproofed room. “Though, you missed one detail - names.” She commented that compared to some weeks ago he was rather mild today while walking past him and brushing her hand against his.
“Where’s the ever-heard suffix I’ve grown to identify your mood switch?” She sounded sneaky on purpose to test whether he’d react to it in any way.

Fate and Phantasms #177
Tumblr media
Today on Fate and Phantasms we’re making Nitocris (Assassin), the return of best girl! All we gotta do for this build is make a build where you can defend yourself with a super powerful sheet, drown your enemies, and summon Medjed for combat. Super easy.
Oh yeah, we also have to make a super-adaptable vehicle that can defend us from any kind of harm because SOMEBODY went ham on the safety features and left us with having to stick them in the build. I’m not saying names though, and Scheherazade should be grateful.
Anyways, this build’s mostly a Shepherd Druid because druids are busted like that, but we’re still dipping into Grave Cleric for a bit of flavor and Monk for her defenses and a better time in melee combat.
Check out her build breakdown below the cut, or her character sheet over here!
Next up: Team Killer Demon King of the Xth Heaven!
Race and Background
Surprisingly, putting on a swimsuit doesn’t change your life story that much. Nitocris is still a Fallen Aasimar Noble, giving her +1 Wisdom, +2 Constitution, Darkvision, Celestial Resistance to radiant and necrotic damage, Healing Hands to heal people as an action, the Light cantrip, and proficiency with History and Persuasion. You are a pharaoh, and you are Nitocris. That’s all you need to understand history and to persuade people.
Ability Scores
Actually surprisingly, putting on a swimsuit does change your physical abilities a little bit. Your Wisdom is still the highest stat, you’ll want that for ruling and for summoning god magic. However your second highest stat is Constitution. That sheet can really take a beating. Dexterity comes next so you don’t die while wearing a swimsuit. Your Charisma isn’t bad, I wish it could be higher, but we don’t need it mechanically. Your Intelligence is a little low, but it’s summer, everyone’s relaxed. Finally, dump Strength. You still aren’t a powerhouse, except in our heart.
Class Levels
1. Druid 1: Starting off as a druid gets you proficiency with Intelligence and Wisdom saves, as well as two druid skills. I’d grab Religion and Animal Handling. You’re really good and handling those medjed, and mechanically most of them will be beasts in this build.
You can also write Druidic (it’s a language!) and cast and prepare Spells using your Wisdom. You can pick from any spells on the druid spell list, but you’re limited each long rest to a number equal to your wisdom modifier plus your druid level.
You also get a couple cantrips that you’ll always have; I suggest Guidance so you’re always a bit better than those plebians, as well as Shape Water as a taste of what you’ll be able to do later.
In order to shape water, you’ll first have to make it, with Create or Destroy Water. A lot of your drowning spells require standing water to work, so you’ll be well acquainted with this one moving forward. You also get Absorb Elements and Protection from Evil and Good to serve as your early defensive buffs from your cloak.
2. Monk 1: For further defense, we’re bouncing over to monk real quick to get Unarmored Defense, giving you an AC of 10 plus your dexterity modifier plus your wisdom modifier. You also get Martial Arts, letting you make physical attacks using your Dexterity instead of strength, dealing a minimum of 1d4 damage. Also, you can attack as a bonus action after attacking as an action. The medjed are great, but sometimes you have to stand up for yourself.
3. Cleric 1: One last multiclass, I swear. As a Grave cleric, you learn and prepare some more Spells using your Wisdom, and you also have a Circle of Mortality so your healing spells automatically do as much healing as possible on creatures that are at 0 HP. You also get a buffed version of Spare the Dying that you can cast at range as a bonus action. On top of that, your Eyes of the Grave can use your action Wisdom modifier times per long rest to sense undead nearby.
You also get even more cantrips! Grab Resistance for more defense, Thaumaturgy to truly capture the godly aspect of being a pharaoh, and Toll the Dead for just a bit of ghosts. As a treat.
You also get first level spells, including Bane and False Life for free! Being covered in medjeds makes it hard to do stuff, and again, that’s one cool cloak. You can also swap protection from evil & good and create & destroy water over here to free up some druid space, but for new spells check out Command for a pharaoh’s intimidating presence and Shield of Faith to either increase your own AC or throw your towel on another ally.
Since this is your third level overall, you also get your Necrotic Shroud, spending an action to create a true beach panic in a 10′ radius around you. When you transform, you force a charisma save (8 + proficiency + chr mod) on all creatures in range, and if they fail they’re frightened for a round. For a minute afterwards you can add necrotic damage to your attacks once per turn. Afterwards, you can’t do this again until you take a long rest.
4. Druid 2: Now that our multiclassing is done, we can go back to our main class and become a Shepherd druid. As a second level druid, you can either use Wild Shape to transform into an animal yourself (not really canon, but you know how egyptian gods are) or you can use those charges to summon a Wild Companion with a free Find Familiar spell. If you turn into a beast, it has to be cr 1/4 or lower, and can’t have a swimming or flying speed. Your physical stats get replaced with the new stat block, but you keep your proficiencies and your Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores. The beast’s HP effectively becomes extra HP for you, and once that’s depleted you turn back into a human. er, aasimar. You keep all the cool stuff from your race & classes, but you can’t cast spells while an animal.
Whether you use your wild shapes to turn into an animal or find familiars, they both last Half your Druid Level hours, and you get two uses per short rest.
As a shepherd druid, you can use your Speech of the Woods to speak Sylvan or to animals, and you also get a Spirit Totem that can protect your party for up to a minute that you can summon as a bonus action once per short rest. Later we can call these safety features in your car, but for now they’re just kind of here.
If you summon a bear spirit, creatures you choose in the aura get temporary HP, and advantage on strength checks & saves. If you summon a Hawk Spirit, you can use your reaction to give advantage on an attack in the aura, and all allies have advantage on perception checks. If you summon a unicorn spirit, you get advantage on all checks to detect creatures (kind of horning in on the hawk’s territory, but w/e) and you can heal each creature inside the aura at the same time you use any healing spell. Perfect if your best friend is terrified of death!
5. Druid 3: Third level druids get second level spells, like Summon Beast for your very first medjed! It’s not spectacular, but you can create land, sea, or air medjeds to give those mini nobbus a run for their money. You could also use Animal Messenger for utility medjeds. If you need to make a quick escape, pull down your hood to Pass without Trace. I won’t bring it up each level, but feel free to grab healing spells too. It’s what Scheherazade would have wanted. Also, feel free to ask the gods for advice with Augury.
6. Druid 4: Use your first Ability Score Improvement to become Resilient against dexterity saves. This rounds up your dexterity for stronger punches and a better AC, and you also become proficient in dexterity saves so that fireball won’t be quite as dangerous.
Your Wild Shape improves a bit, letting you transform into swimming creatures of CR 1/2 or less.
You also learn the Mending cantrip, because that cloak of yours has seen a lot of action by this point, and it probably needs some loving.
7. Druid 5: Fifth level druids get third level spells, like Conjure Animals. You can summon eight beasts of CR 1/4 or lower, four of CR 1/2, two of CR 1, or 1 of CR 2. They’re friendly, and listen to your commands. I’d recommend some smaller creatures for a medjed swarm, or one big creature for your car. Aurochs are good for flat land, Cave Bears for water, a young bulette if you expect to run people over... this is a pretty versatile solution.
You can also use Protection from Energy for more... protection, and Tidal Wave for your first true drowning option against your foes. Creatures in a 30′ by 10′ by 10′ area must make a dexterity save, and if they fail they take bludgeoning damage and get knocked prone. On a success they take half damage and stay standing. Afterwards, the water spreads out an extinguishes fires, but sadly it doesn’t stick around, so you’ll still have to use Create & Destroy Water for the bigger spells coming up.
8. Druid 6: Sixth level shepherds become Mighty Summoners, giving their creations two more HP per hit die and letting them slip through nonmagical damage resistances. The medjed are gods in their own right, getting stopped by a devil would just be weird.
9. Druid 7: Seventh level druids get fourth level spells like Control Water, which lets you control freestanding water within a 100′ cube. You can create floods which create waves in larger bodies of water, you can part water to move through them (...Ozymandius will not be happy to see that little trick pop back up in his life), redirect the flow of water in impossible ways, or create a Whirlpool in larger bodies of water that traps creatures who fail an athletics check.
If you want your medjed to be a little more godlike, try Conjure Woodland Beings to summon fey creatures instead of beasts. At least they’ll have magic?
10. Druid 8: Eighth level druids get another Wild Shape improvement, so now you can fly as a creature of CR 1 or lower. (Also it’s weird that Wild Companion didn’t get any buffs as you level up.) Either way, use your new ASI to bump up your Wisdom for stronger spells and a better AC.
11. Druid 9: Ninth level druids get fifth level spells, like Antilife Shell, the ultimate in anti-personnel protection! For up to an hour, living creatures outside your barrier can’t enter or make attacks against you unless they have ranged or reach weapons. The downside is that if you get surrounded and can’t move the other creatures away, you’re stuck unless you pop that bubble. You could also Awaken a huge or smaller creature or plant to act as your car on a more permanent basis. Awakened trees aren’t the fastest rides, but they’re pretty sturdy. The awakened thing is charmed for up to 30 days or until your party does something stupid, afterwards it’s up to the target to decide how it feels about you. Don’t mistreat your car.
12. Druid 10: Tenth level druids get another cantrip, and Druidcraft is just really versatile. It’s good. Your spirit totem also become a Guardian Spirit, healing your summoned creatures at the end of their turn by half your druid level.
13. Druid 11: With sixth level spells, you can summon a great medjed to lead your troops with Conjure Fey, creating a fey or beast of CR 6 or lower. It’s friendly while you maintain concentration, but if that drops it becomes hostile and might attack. A lot of your spells work best with good charisma checks, thankfully you’re Nitocris. You can also create Primordial Wards, giving you resistance to acid, cold, fire, lightning, and thunder damage for up to a minute. During that time, you can react upon taking damage of those types to gain immunity to that type until the end of your next turn, at which point the spell ends.
14. Druid 12: Use this ASI to max out your Wisdom for all those reasons that are still there since last ASI.
15. Druid 13: Most of your new seventh level spells aren’t super in character, but you can use Symbol to set traps for unsuspecting enemies and leave them scattered about your car. Technically you can’t move an object symbol after you set it, but a surface symbol as no such issue, so it’s time for a paint job. There’s a lot of different symbols, but most of them are very unpleasant for your foes.
16. Druid 14: Your final Shepherd goody turns your car into a Faithful Summons. When you’re reduced to 0 HP or incapacitated, you can instantly use Conjure Animals as a ninth level spell, creating 4 beasts of CR 2 or lower. That’s right, your car really does protect you now. The beasts will automatically defend you and fight against your foes, and the spell doesn’t require concentration. You can do this once per long rest.
17. Druid 15: Seventh level didn’t have much for you, but eighth level spells are a bit better. Antipathy/Sympathy helps your car defend you by repelling creatures from it. You can cast the spell on a huge or smaller object/creature and pick one kind of intelligent creature. Antipathy then forces any named creature within sight or 60′ of the target to make a wisdom save or be frightened while it remains near the car. While frightened, it has to move away from the target until it can’t see it, and it will automatically become frightened again if it moves back into range. If an affected creature ends its turn out of range, it can make another save, if it succeeds, the spell no longer affected and knows about the spell. Creatures that make their save are immune for a minute.
That’s a mouthful, but it’s not the only spell we want here! Tsunami creates a tsunami, creating a wall of water 300′ by 300′ by 50′. Each creature within the wall has to make a strength save, and if they fail they take bludgeoning damage. At the start of your turn after casting the spell, it moves 50′ away, along with creatures inside it. Then all the creatures it ran into/had already make another strength save or take more damage. At the end of each turn the wall moves, it loses 50′ in height and it deals less damage. When the wall is 0 feet tall, the spell ends.
Creatures can try to escape the wall by making an athletics check, but if they fail they can’t move at all.
18. Druid 16: Use your last ASI for a higher Dexterity to get more AC and stronger punches. They pale in comparison to a tsunami, but you can only do that once per day.
19. Druid 17: Congrats, you finally get ninth level spells! Shapechange will let you transform yourself into a true Medjed (assuming you’ve seen one by now). It works similar to your wildshape, but it isn’t limited to beasts and the CR limit is your level. (That being said, you could also turn into a leviathan next level if you’ve seen one, but that’s not in character)
20. Druid 18: Your final level of the build gives you a Timeless Body, reducing your aging by a factor of 10 so you can rule the beaches for centuries to come. You also get Beast Spells so you can cast spells without material components while you’re a beast.
Pros:
You make big waves, and big waves have big areas of effect. You’re very good at pushing around huge groups of people, both thanks to those waves and thanks to your summons.
Another benefit of being a big summoner druid is that you’re tough to get at. If your enemies can get through your medjed swarm you’ve still got an AC of 17/19 and plenty of healing to chew through before they can take you down. And taking you down just makes your medjed army bigger.
While your Awakened Tree car isn’t going to win you any first place medals, you aren’t limited to the one. Think about it- get enough money together and you can pretty much set up a living mobile base, so long as you stay on good terms with the trees propping it up.
Cons:
You are, however, limited to one spell at a time. A lot of your defensive spells and almost all your summons all need your concentration to function, and not only do they blink out of existence if you fail a constitution save, but they also  might attack you!
Those big floody spells you have? They’ll also hit your army. Unlike FGO, your medjed don’t pop back to a pocket dimension when their turn’s over- you’ll have to deal with them getting caught in the waves. That’ll also hurt your standing with the trees, probably.
Until you hit level 17, your best water-based spell is Control Water, which requires water to already exist in the area. You also are probably the only racer who has to make sure their car actually likes them. What I’m trying to say is you have to put up with a lot of fiddly setup to make your powers work as well as they can.

here is a primarch OC
Primarch: Raktra Akarro Homeworld: Uran
Legion: XI
History: The gestation pod that housed the infant Primarch landed in the centre of a prison complex, obliterating a large portion of the structure with the impact of its landing and causing a mass breakout. As is typical of many large prisons, several dozen gangs had formed during their incarceration, one in particular calling themselves "The Children of Desolation". Basing their faith on the belief that the haunting creatures colloquially named 'angels' that prowled the skies of Uran, descending upon the native humans at random for unknown purposes, were the heralds of apocalypse and the end of all life, they alone searched for the reason why their confines had been destroyed. Coming across the infant Primarch emerging from his capsule and tearing dozens of unnameable tubes from his flesh, they swept him away with them as they found a hiding place to lay low.
As time passed on, the young Raktra grew quickly, as all Primarchs did, and was soon strong enough to ram his fist completely through the body of the largest of creatures that opposed The Children and tear their hearts out in one swift motion. Witnessing his incredible development and terrifying strength, The Children began to herald him as their messiah, following his word and emulating his actions. Of course, being a child raised on the actions of psychotic death row criminals obsessed with their own impending doom, these actions became the stuff of underground nightmares before long. Eventually The Children began to impose their wills on the other gangs from the breakout, tracking them down and either threatening them into compliance or, more commonly, taking their loyalty by force. Raktra himself would challenge the ringleaders to personal combat, brutally crushing them and burning their bodies to ash to be used in The Children's tradition of marking one's flesh with the remains of their foes. By the time Raktra's outlaws were ready to take their first city, he had tattooed himself so heavily with the ashes of his victims that his flesh was permanently stained the grubby white of old snow. Within the space of a few years, the vast majority of the planet was under the control of Raktra and his followers, and society showed it. The previously calm, if perpetually nervous, cities and settlements of Uran had become places of brutality and oppression, with anyone speaking out against the new regime silenced with a boot to the throat or a hammer to the temple. A sense of cold arrogance and perceived might spread throughout the populace, resulting in more and more people being stolen away by the Angels as they brazenly marched across previously avoided mesas and ignored warnings from spotters. Heeding the pleas of his closest advisors, Raktra gathered the most violent factions in The Children and made a declaration; they would draw them out and prove themselves to the Angels. For the first time in the history of their world, they would kill a flight of Angels, and in doing so send a message to the bastard creatures that had plagued them for so long that they would no longer roll over and accept their threat.  The Uran horde journeyed far and wide, desolist priests chanting rituals of warding and performing blood rituals to lend their brothers strength, the rest sharpening blades, loading guns and roaring in anticipation. Raktra stood at their head, a great motorised chain-blade shackled to his right hand and a lash of heavy chain gripped in his left. On the third day, as the sun broke through the shroud of the night, a great wind picked up around the assembled humans followed by the deafening sound of thousands of wings beating against the sky.  The world had become a spiral of blades, claws and gunfire before a normal man could even draw breath. The Angels lay about themselves with bird-like talons, rainbow-feathered wings and gobs of unnatural flame that simultaneously burned and froze those it struck. Some where able to resist where the desolists still stood, others finding themselves mysteriously invigorated by their wounds, but most fell screaming to the dirt as their corpses crystallised. The slowly-shrinking circle of killers pulled tighter and tighter against each other, slipping over the unbelievable mound of dead and bleeding underneath their boots, and as they confined themselves to what they believed was an inevitable death, salvation came.
Bolter rounds and volkite charges ripped through the monsters, inhumanly precise aim preventing any friendly fire even with the ridiculous amount of dirt and motion that surely had to be obscuring the vision of the new arrivals. With the tides turned and the Angels repelled, The Children finally got a clear view of their saviours.
Hulking, sea-green armoured warriors stamped towards them, at their head a pair of giants dressed in black and gold. The Children stared in awe and dropped to their knees, all except for Raktra who approached them with a curious glint in his eyes. The black-clad man nodded curtly to him, whilst the man in gold spread his arms and came closer.
"My son," he said. "I have found you at last."
Raktra met the already existing members of his Legion, and found himself disgusted by them. Examining their history and battle records, he saw how merciful they were in their invasions and how readily they would take and make comfortable their prisoners. Worse, he saw the glowing admiration that his supposed "father" heaped upon these actions, and felt his stomach churn. If these were to be his men, there could be no pity, no innocence. Any semblance of forgiveness had to be stamped out, by any means necessary.
New recruits were brought in from his home world and the Legion took on a shape more to his liking. The greater numbers of former members of The Children began to fill the ranks, and the combination of their violent culture and newly-enhanced bodies brought out a fire that the Uran people were keen to let wild upon the universe. Raktra, meanwhile, was versed in the ways of the Imperial armies, and educated by his Primarch brothers. Being the charmless bastard that he was, he forged few connections with those he bore genes with, and even those bonds were strained. The closest he came to respect were Ferrus Manus of the Xth, and later Angron of the XIIth, appreciating the brutal honesty and direct nature of the two, but little else, and the grim creature that was Mortarion, the only one he would call "brother", though this was a rare occurrence. In Mortarion he found a similar set of core beliefs - that the universe was dark, life was bloody and everything died in the end. Of those he disliked, none were more hated than the lord of the IXth, the great Sanguinius. Though Raktra would never admit to it, seeing such a powerful and skilled fighter leading a force of so-called "angels" whilst appearing himself as an angel of some ancient Terran faith, clawed at him with the first feelings of fear he had ever known.
By the time they were prepared to venture out into the galaxy on their own, the XIth Legion had transformed their colours from a gentle duck-egg blue to the greying black of burnt coal, their arms a grubby white to link themselves to their Primarch, and to better show the blood spatter from the beatings they dealt out. Raktra himself had his chain blade modified and improved by Legion artificers, naming it "the Grinder", and dressing for war in a loose-fitting suit of artificer armour that left his arms and head bare to maximise his range of motion when swinging his sword. His appearance matching his methods and his men finally suited to his needs, Raktra ordered his Legion's old name expunged from all records, to be replaced by their new title - the Berserkers of Uran. The Crusade ground on and Raktra became more and more distant from his brothers who were less appreciative of his methods than others. While that had no direct effect on his ability to wage war, rumblings of dissent began in his own Legion. Fractures between the various chapters grew wide, morally separating the native Uran recruits and the "off-worlders". The Uran would trample over everything and everyone in their path, leaving the survivors to fend for themselves whereas the off-worlders would employ the typical Imperial tactic of rebuilding and re-educating the locals to assimilate them into the acceptable standards set down by the Emperor. Eventually the Legion barely resembled one coherent fighting force - if anything, it now operated as two demi-legions, and the gaze of the Emperor was drawn. Hearing whispers and rumours and letting his own bitterness guide him, Raktra prepared his more 'loyal' men for the then-almost-unheard of act of marine-on-marine combat. He knew the Emperor would send the Space Wolves. The so-called "executioners" of the Astartes were his favourite choice to send as a reminder of his rule, though Raktra could never figure out why, given that each time it had been rumoured they had been sent out to curb the behaviours of other Primarchs they had returned with their tails between their legs and their task essentially failed. He recalled the famed "Night of the Wolf", told to him by Angron as they nursed their wounds after a drawn-out battle in the Conqueror's gladiatorial pits, and he recalled them laughing their broken laughs at the Wolves' ineptitude.
He gathered his men and marched out into the open as soon as long-ranged scanners detected a group of Astartes craft entering the atmosphere of Uran's moon, the location of their secondary outpost. What met the Berserkers on the ground was something they did not expect, and something that rattled them to the core - blood red Thunderhawks bearing sculpted white angel wings, and the ominous IX of the Blood Angels.
The angel led the host, Sanguinius walking in his beautifully graceful way towards his younger sibling. If his skin was naturally-coloured, Raktra would've turned sickly pale. Blood rushed through his ears as his twin hearts beat faster than he thought possible, drowning out the voice of Sanguinius as he tried to reason with him. Sanguinius reached out his hand to his brother to invite him in, Raktra stepped back, and in a moment of panic, uttered a command to his men. "FIRE." The battle was brutal. The Berserkers were far outmatched by the Blood Angels, even with the small element of surprise on their side. Raktra himself faired no better than his sons, throwing himself wildly at Sanguinius in a blind fear-induced rage, desperately trying to kill the man who embodied his only fear. Simply put, it didn't work. Raktra was ground into the dirt, the Grinder shattered along with his jaw and hand, and one eye carved out by a badly blocked sword strike. A foot on his spine kept him pinned down, and Sanguinius ordered his men to return to their ship before any more blood was shed by either side. Raktra scraped at the dirt and struggled to free himself, as the angel chastised him for his selfish and harmful ways. With one last breath of regret, Sanguinius followed the rest of the Blood Angels and left, and the Berserkers collected up their broken Primarch to be healed. This humiliation broke the last vestiges of loyalty that lay in Raktra's soul. In secret, he gathered those chapters who bore more trust in the works of their Primarch than the works of the Emperor, and lay down his plan; together, they would emancipate themselves from the Imperium. They would take the current pool of recruits still on Uran, and then raze the cities to the ground. They would find the Chaplains that professed the Imperial Truth to them, and they would put a bullet in their mouths. They would reinstate the priests of The Children, and grant them the genetic gifts of the Space Marines. They would take all the ships they could, and sink the rest into the galactic void. And finally, they would catapult themselves across the universe, evading retribution as best they could until they could mount a proper defence when they were inevitably found. And if their off-worlder elements stood in their way at any point, they would break them like children beneath a landslide. And so it went, and for the second time, the Emperor ordered the destruction of a Space Marine Legion from all records and memorials. The statue of their Primarch that once stood tall outside the entrance to the Imperial Palace was torn down, its empty plinth a grim reminder to the other Legions of the price of betrayal, echoing its II legion twin in disgrace. Many months of intensive psychic examination and soul-scrubbing performed by none other than Malcador himself assured the loyalty of the remaining Marines, and they found themselves placed into the hands of the Ultramarines, swelling their ranks to incredible numbers.
For the second time, the Emperor witnessed the hatred for him that could be born in his son's hearts. Had he saw the signs elsewhere, it could have also been the last.

The Detective's Banquet 5
Writer: Mitsuki
Character(s): Shino Hajime, Mashiro Tomoya, Hidaka Hokuto, Harukawa Sora, Tomoe Hiyori, Kazehaya Tatsumi, HiMERU
Translated by: jewwyfeesh
Hokuto: It’s a detective’s job to pursue the truth. I promise you, I definitely will.
Tumblr media
Location: Dead End Cafe
Tumblr media
Hokuto: (After escaping, I nearly got lost in the hotel… finally found a familiar room after running around for who knows how long…)
(After receiving the character introduction, I’d thought that the Android’s design was steeped in the shadow of my father, and felt some subtle hostility… But having enhanced physical abilities isn’t so bad.)
Tumblr media
(If it were the normal me, I’d be panting away after running around… And yet, I’m barely breaking a sweat right now. I even escaped the storage room virtually unscathed earlier on.)
(Tomoya probably didn’t think I’d escape from that kind of place. This blind spot surfaces from his habitual way of thinking – I’ll need to point this out to him later on.)
(After calming down some and thinking about it, it does seem rather quiet here… It really makes your blood run cold…)
Tumblr media
(Surely not…)
Location: Luxurious Hotel Room
Tumblr media
Hokuto: Tomoya…!
Tomoya: …?!
Hokuto: Why did the ‘Armchair Detective’ collapse here? Were the both of you attacked just now?
Tomoya: Ah… Er… Um… about that…
Tumblr media
Hokuto: Oh, something fell from your pocket. No. Wait. This is… a tranquilizer?
The ‘Armchair Detective’ does seem to have been sedated… Did you…?!
Tumblr media
Tomoya: …………
Tumblr media
…………
I… Don’t want to lie to Hokuto-senpai.
You guessed correctly. I am the murderer that everyone’s been working hard to identify… Arrest me, then.
Hokuto: Why would you do this? It’s not like you have an ulterior motive.
Tomoya: …No, I do have a motive. But now that things have come to this, I still hope that it’ll be able to stay a secret forever.
Tumblr media
Hokuto: It’s a detective’s job to pursue the truth. Even ‘Bionic Detectives’ have the right to know the truth. As a detective yourself, you should be well aware of this.
Of course, I’ll keep it a secret on your behalf. You can trust me – after all, Androids are unable to lie.
Tumblr media
Tomoya: …Android, huh? That’s right, that’s the answer to all of our problems. Hokuto-senpai… No, Android 3A1217, do you remember why you were developed?
Hokuto: I am an android that was created with the purpose of obtaining human emotions through learning. But the me who was unable to to comprehend them suddenly gained exceptional deductive abilities. From then on, I became the ‘Bionic Detective’.
Though, it seems like the company that made me has been experiencing some technological bottlenecks recently, as they have yet to update my software for quite a while…
Tumblr media
Tomoya: That’s because the project has already been called off! And, in three days, you’ll be recalled and destroyed!
Hokuto: I see. Is it because my mission has come to an end?
Tumblr media
Tomoya: NO, it’s not that…! The meaning of Hokuto-senpai’s existence, why should those people be the ones defining it?!
I’ve already decided. No matter what, I’ll ensure that Hokuto-senpai lives on.
That day, there was a mysterious man in black who approached me, and we struck a deal — I’ll help him assassinate Sakuma-san, and in exchange, he’ll help me save Hokuto-senpai…
Tumblr media
The second I agreed, I already knew a day like this would come. Though… What I didn’t expect was that… In the end, the one who pointed the gun at me would be you, Hokuto-senpai.
What a cruel twist of fate… I had wanted to keep this from you since the very beginning…
Hokuto: …………
Tumblr media
Tomoya: Hokuto-senpai, you… You’re crying…?
Tumblr media
Hokuto: I… I’m crying? This bitter feeling… Is this a human emotion, one that I’ve always been unable to understand?
Tumblr media
Why… As… As an Android, my mission is to protect the people… So… Why? Why would you go to such an extent for me?
Tumblr media
…There is only one truth, and I understand everything clearly now. The culprit is you, and the motive is me.
Tomoya: All of these are choices that I myself made, so please don’t cry because of me. I did commit an irreversible crime.
Tumblr media
Maybe back then, I had more than just this path in front of me… But it’s too late to say it now… Thank you for all the time that you’ve spent with me. The only thing I won’t ever regret… is saving you.
If you want to do anything for me, then please conduct a thorough investigation of the truth behind our backs. About Sakuma-san, about that mysterious man in black…
Tumblr media
Hokuto: It’s a detective’s job to pursue the truth. I promise you, I definitely will.
Location: Seishou Hall Common Room
Tumblr media
Hajime: Waaaah~ Tomoya-kun was super handsome in that last part! I couldn’t look away~
Thinking about how after the game’s formal release, I can even watch Tomoya-kun’s spectacular acting in the SSVRS… It really feels like I’m dreaming ♪
Tomoya: T-that’s too much… If you continue on like this, I’ll go find a hole to hide in…!
Tumblr media
Hajime: Sorry, I got a little carried away… Still, were those lines thought of on the spot? Truly phenomenal~ ♪
Tomoya: To be honest, Theatre Club conducts a lot of improvised performances as part of training. Upon finding out that I’ll be performing alongside Hokuto-senpai this time, I did lots of homework beforehand.
Tumblr media
Not to mention… even though at that time I’d thought Hibiki-senpai was running his mouth without much rhyme nor reason, the tasks that he assigned us allowed me to reevaluate how I’d approach acting this character and look at it from another perspective. So part of my success could be attributed to him.
Hokuto: I, too, underwent some special training for this role; I’m glad our efforts didn’t go to waste, seeing that the final result turned out pretty good.
After this, I’ll need to continue working hard — I won’t let my junior one-up me when the time to perform comes.

Virar teen invents wristband from scrap to keep coronavirus at bay; proposal sent to PM Modi, ICMR
Tumblr media
14-year-old Harsh Chaudhari, a resident of Virar, Maharashtra, has invented a unique wristband that can keep a person from frequently touching his/her face. Thereby, the device can prevent the spread of coronavirus. By wearing the band, the urge to shake hands with other people can also be avoided. Harsh has already sent the proposal of his device to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He is awaiting a response on his request to demonstrate the wristband. Harsh studies in Xth standard at National English High School, Virar. His father, Kunjan (50), deals in used cars while mother, Shraddha, is a BMC teacher at an Andheri school. His sister Krisha, 7, studies in the 2nd grade. A person touches his/her face 10 times in an hour on an average and by doing so, he/she could spread Covid-19 and many other infections. “By wearing the wristband, the urge to touch the face can be stopped,” Harsh said, adding that, “my device can also kill coronavirus by electronegative ionisation of hydroxide ions”.
Tumblr media
“The electronegative ionized solution will already be inserted in the band with a pallet on it,” Harsh said. The device is waterproof so a person does not need to remove it while washing their hands. The device can detect a person shaking hands with another. A buzzer will go off when the device detects the activity, thereby preventing a person from shaking hands and from touching the face. The band also works in silent mode, if the person does not want to hear the buzzer, the band can work on a vibrator mode as well. The wristband was made out of scrap collected from his house. Harsh put together a buzzer, switch, button cell, tilt sensor, aluminum foil, plastic tubing and other materials to create the device. “Due to the lockdown, I could not procure the materials so I sourced them from what was available at my house,” he said. Harsh’s father has also set up a small laboratory for him in his house so that he can conduct his experiments. “School students could visit the laboratory but due to the lockdown, the activity is stopped,” said Harsh. Production plan The cost of one wristband comes to around Rs 90. Harsh plans to mass-produce the bands and sell them for around Rs 40 each. “I am waiting for the patent to be registered after the lockdown is lifted so that the production can be started and I can source raw materials from shops. I have received a huge response from locals for the wristband,” Harsh said. Ventilated mask Harsh has also invented a ventilated mask which has an inbuilt fan that can keep a person cool. “Police personnel and medical staff have to wear the PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) while dealing with coronavirus patients. While wearing the PPE, the plastic screen gets foggy due to lack of ventilation and the exhalation of carbon dioxide. My ventilated mask will circulate air and also prevent fogginess of the plastic screen. Thus, a person can get fresh air and the longevity of the PPE is also extended,” he stated.
Tumblr media
Proposal to ICMR and PM Modi In late March, Harsh had sent his proposals to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the ICMR. He is awaiting a response. Harsh expects PM Modi and the ICMR to show interest in his innovation. After the lockdown is lifted, his father will apply for the patent on Harsh’s two inventions. Pride of school Deepak Kulkarni, Principal at National English High School, said the school is proud of Harsh. “Right from the beginning, he has shown sparks of a scientist and is academically very bright. He actively participates in our school’s scientific workshop along with his classmates,” Kulkarni said. “I am sure he will make our school proud,” he added. Read the full article

what are the other five senses between 6th and 12th
So besides the 5 senses: taste, sight, touch, smell, hearing and the renowned 6th sense: intuition, the typical extra senses people in the region are gifted with are: draft detection, spontaneous curse word origination (some would argue they make (up) no sense, but they of course do), kidney protection instinct, a sense of superiority (especially manifest in relation to certain neighbouring nations), slavic name recognition (recognizing anglicized Slavic names and surnames of Xth generation immigrants for example) and finally the 12th: missing diacritics postulation.
