tagged by @giddyupbuck @wikiangela @hippolotamus @disasterbuckdiaz putting this day to heart because quentin reviews on youtube put up a new video 6 hour video analysis of a nickelodean show so i'm putting all my attention to that instead of writing, so here's a random snippet i most likely wouldn't have shared otherwise

“I kissed Taylor.”

Buck barely gets the words out in greeting as he enters the fire truck. Eddie raises his eyebrows at that, the SOS text he’d been sent around an hour ago suddenly starting to make a little more sense. 

Buck drew the lucky straw tonight and ended up with the one-on-one date tonight with Taylor. He’s still in his suit for the evening. A nice pale blue one that brings out his eyes. Eddie can’t help but appreciate his friend in the outfit, how it’s tailored perfectly on him. The suit doesn’t draw too much attention to his arms and muscles, but just enough to make one want to see more. 

“So why are you looking so disappointed? Is she a bad kisser or-”

“No!” Buck’s protest is accompanied by a blush. “No, she was great! Perfect! Exactly like I imagined her to be! It’s just…” Buck slumps against the seat, embarrassment clear in his long frame. “The date went amazing. I cooked for her, we bonded, I told some jokes, she laughed. I felt like we had a really great connection with her.” A small smile makes its way on Buck’s face. “Then when I kissed her, she leans back and says, ‘Hmm.’” He turns back to Eddie as if he could make sense of the phrase.

“‘Hmm’? That’s what she said?”

“Yeah. I mean. Do you think it means I’m a bad kisser? I can’t be, right? I’ve kissed a lot of people. If I was, one of them would’ve said something.”

Eddie’s mouth falls open, yet nothing comes out. His natural, first instinct is to reassure Buck. To tell him that of course he’s not a bad kisser. Yet the only way he would know that is if he kisses Buck himself. The thought surprisingly doesn’t sound unpleasant. In fact, now that the idea is in his head, Eddie finds that he wants to kiss Buck. Finds that he can’t stop staring at those naturally pink lips of his friends. Wanting to know what he’d taste like, how long it would be until Buck’s mouth will open and their tongues will meet and tangle together. 

Buck raises an eyebrow at Eddie in question. That’s when he realizes he’s been staring at him for too long. Eddie clears his throat and turns towards the front of the truck. “Well, the analysis so far isn’t looking good for you. Might need more research.” 

Buck snorts. “What, you gonna offer to kiss me to see if it was a fluke or something?” 

Eddie’s breath catches.

Right? I hear you completely. I know that some fans do write “bait-y” sorts of tweets, in the hope that Georgia will respond, and there is nothing wrong with that, and the fans have not done anything wrong here. But there is no way to guarantee that the next tweet she responds to will be one of those tweets. What I feel like it comes down to is an issue of power, because Georgia does have this position of power and influence, so it’s incumbent on her to use it responsibly.

Again, I can cite a personal experience of mine in another fandom, my previous fandom, where I was actually called out by name on a celebrity’s social media page, in a negative way. That celebrity using their platform enabled people to attack me in the comments on that post, writing all manner of cruel and despicable (and blatantly false) things about me. The libelous statements were never retracted, I was not apologized to, and the vicious comments on that post remain to this day.

Obviously this is not exactly the same situation, and by no means am I saying that Georgia is deliberately trying to be a bully or set people up to become targets. But if you are feeling that fear about tweeting David’s name, I can’t help but think other fans must be feeling that way, too, and that just isn’t a healthy atmosphere for any fandom to have. Just my opinion, as I said before, but there it is.

yes, Sarah from the Old Testament of the Bible (who I also think is in the Torah?). fun fact: it means princess ;)

2. When was the last time you cried?

idk? maybe a week ago? I never used to cry, but I actually like to do it now.

3. Do you have kids?

unless my dog counts, no.

4. What sports do you play/have played?

as a kid I did a bit of soccer and softball. I also did cross country, but running and I do not get along. If you count rock climbing as a sport, I guess I "play it" but I don't do comps. ngl I used to be a bit of a gym bunny pre-covid. I would go at like 11am and workout with a bunch of old people it was the best

5. Do you use sarcasm?

6. What's the first thing you notice about people?

what they are wearing. I think fashion can tell you a lot about a person!

7. What’s your eye color?

uh light brown mainly but I have sectoral heterochromia so one eye is half black like a fucking anime character

8. Scary movies or happy endings?

I am SO bad at scary movies. I can read scary books or scary stories but I once saw a trailer for a Jordan Peele movie and it kept me up for a week. However, I do love listening to people talk about horror, it's a super fascinating genre to me.

9. Any talents?

I'm really good at public speaking? google says that's a talents lol OH! I'm also pretty good at cooking and baking.

10. Where were you born?

a hospital (I'm keeping that from prev lmao)

11. What are your hobbies?

listening to music, rock climbing, reading, my dog, my cars, cooking, baking, and writing! I'm trying to learn how to play the bass guitar too, but I haven't practiced in like... 6 months... oops

I have a dog and many, many cats who are very evil, although we are currently at a détente where we just ignore each other

5'3" or 160cm (161cm might be more accurate but I'm American we don't do that here)

“You remember that show Tia Pepa likes to watch? The Bachelorette?”  Chris’ nose scrunches in disgust. “You mean that one where a girl gets a bunch of boyfriends and they all fight over her? And for some reason you pretend not to like it?” The automatic reaction to deny his liking for the show is on the tip of his tongue before he knows it. He stops when he sees Chris’ knowing eyes. What they say about children being a blessing and curse is right. “Nevermind. What I came to ask you about is, well - How would you feel about me being on that show? To try to get a girlfriend?” There’s a long silence as Chris studies him. Eddie holds his breath, waiting for a response.  “You’re not going to get a girlfriend on there, Dad.” He picks up his controller and is about to go back to his game when Eddie places a hand over his. “Now, hang on, what do you mean by that? Do you not believe I can?” He expected Chris to protest, to throw something. Akin to when he told him he was dating Ana. He expected disbelief. Who would believe their dad to go on a reality show to find love? That’s the beginning of the worst bad joke if Eddie’s ever heard one.  Chris snorts, as if the answer is obvious. “You needed my help to ask Marisol out and then she didn’t even call you back after your date. You’re hopeless.”
