The Stolitz duet is funny to me cause how many times is Stolas going to go through the same damn arc of realizing that Blitz doesn’t love him the way he does. First it was the Circus where he was looking at the Instagram photos and sang sadly about how what they had was a lie, then it was in Western Energy where he was reading Blitz’s emotionally closed off texts. In Oops we also see him take full action for the crystal.

Now in the Stolitz duet preview he’s still singing lovey dovey like a princess about how much he can’t wait to see Blitz and even makes him pancakes ect, like putting aside all the retconning and the bullshit Blitz victim blaming, how many times is he going to re enter this state of denial. And then the HB trailer shows him potentially (and finally) realizing Blitz doesn’t like him back so he bashes him for having “no remorse” and even sings a diss track with Verosika about it. And yet in the leaked animatic finale scene, we see Octavia say that he chose Blitz, even Stolas smiling at Blitz after the supposed fight scene, so we already know that whatever “will they won’t they” bullshit rift they have mid season, in the end it won’t go anywhere, just like every other dropped plot point in this show. It’s just for drama and it really makes you realize that Stolas’s entire character exists to be paired with Blitz. His relationship with his wife or his daughter doesn’t matter, isn’t the main focus UNLESS it ties to Blitz. His purpose is to be with Blitz and that’s it, no matter what other character Viv teases will come to take Stolas away from Blitz.

Breaking Down Moments From The Trailer

oh man, it’s been a while huh? the hb trailer came out a while ago but I figured it’s still relevant enough to talk about so that’s what I’m doing. I’ll simply be speculating on things that got my attention in the trailer!

starting with

these two scenes clearly take place in the same episode and in the same location. I’m not 100% sure that big shadow is Andrealphus but I think it’s safe to assume it’s him based off of what we know. I believe this is also the same area we saw the Octavia leak take place so I think there’s a good chance we see her side with Stella’s family in a fake out “turn to the evil side” scenario

on a similar note these two scenes of Blitzo and Millie fighting don’t seem to take place in the same episode. now I’m not saying this based off the location but off of the outfits. unless the characters do a quick change between fighting I think it’s safe to say we’re going to see a plot line of Millie and Blitzo having disagreements/fights through out AT LEAST two episodes of this season

this is pure speculation but I’m like ninety nine percent sure that this is Tilla. It’s very exciting that we might get to see her after so long but she’ll also probably get the Barbie Wire treatment if not worse so…

I’ve seen a lot of theories over who this fiery guy could be but I think the correct guess is the wrath sin, Satan. why he’s saying “you’re a disgrace” I have no clue. at first I assumed he was in the same room as Mammon and was scolding Stolas but Stolas isn’t in that scene (as stated very clearly)

i DO think that these two scenes are related and probably take place in the same time as the Mammon one. the railings with the snake and apple pattern appear in both. they also use the same template of blobby background characters if that will help prove my point at all

Octavia, you poor sweet summer child. she deserves so much better than what they’re gonna give her. on a more positive note though, I do really like that they’re keeping the star motif she’s had throughout the show

this is so dumb I can’t even talk about it. Verosika get outta there girl, you actually have a well explained reason to say Blitzo sucks, not this overdressed owl

no clue what this guy is about. he has the same marking on his chest that Blitzo has on his bell. we know that bell came from Tilla but that’s about it. if anyone has any theories I’m open to hearing them

the too many villains thing is really showing in this trailer. now not all these characters are necessarily villains but all of them will cause at least some struggle for our main characters. that’s seven in total (eight if you’re counting Stella and her brother separately and six of you group the cherubs and dorks together). all of this is supposed to span across only five episodes. that isn’t mentioning any internal conflict or joke time. the writing team is gonna have to work overtime to fit everything in

that’s all I’ve got to say. I could break down the trailer frame by frame but I don’t have the energy for that. I can’t wait to see everyone else’s thoughts as we progressively get closer to the release date of Full Moon. thanks for reading and I’ll see ya next time!

I’m kinda devastated by the “cockblocktavia” thing, she’s the only female character who really feels like a lead, the closest to a real girl, even if her only waking thought is her dad just like Loonas is boys in general and Millie’s is her husband. Octavia just felt, different, more real.

I’m also a huge fan of Barret Wilbert Weed so I was so excited for her to have more focus and sing with that incredible voice of hers. I thought lots of people would see Via shine and be on her side, creating an actual dilemma in the show that’s been well foreshadowed. But now it’s like Brandon completely overshadowed it, and sabotaged the emotional impact of her story arc and performance for the sake of his character and his musical debut (which is going to sound bad, I’m sorry, but it is) What a selfish prick. What the fuck is Via even getting “in the way” of?? Stolas actually loves her, not obsesses. They have an actual bond. What irritates me too is “stolitz” is nothing but a marketing tool. Only garbage shows have to rely on a dramatic gay ship for views and money, and even this show is better than that.

Also how pathetic is it that the so called protagonist only has a musical debut now in season 2, and even then he has to share it with another character who has sang three times to date. That is the craziest case of creators pet I’ve ever seen. Why isn’t Blitzøs daughter having a big emotional moment? Why can’t we see his family breakdown in real time? Everything is about stolas’ shitty family while Blitzøs is the one that’s actually interesting. And sad. Tight-knit families formed under harsh environments have strong touching bonds, nobles don’t give a rats ass about each other, but Viv hates the poor, so she would never understand that.

Agreed, agreed completely.

I hate that I actually had some hope that maybe, this show wasn't actually going in the direction the Octavia leaks made it seem, that they weren't actually going to villainize this sad, troubled girl in favor of her dad. But it looks like that's exactly what we're getting, and it's surreal and disgusting.

What a nasty joke for a character Millie is. Again, if this is real, then Viv's entire defense over Millie on twitter was completely useless nonsense if it wasn't already. Helluva Boss doesn't pass the bechdel test and Viv's shows are not woman-lead. Its so ironic that this show is written by a woman... like how did we get here. How did this happen?

For her sake, I hope she deletes this episode or changes this scene so Millie has actual legitimate insecurities to consider stepping off for this situation. (Actually I take that back, just delete the episode. This stuff is extremely heavy and triggering, I don't think ALL our characters need to be subjected to this nonsense since we've been through a lot of this already. Moxie has already been told he's a weak burden. Blitz has already been told he's an asshole who is gonna die alone. Several times over, mind you. Its over done. Try something else, Viv pls. This isn't new or interesting information.)

Hey, I want to ask something: why Is using a drag queen's persona to create a female character a bad thing?/genq

The implication of cissification/forced gender norms is what I take issue with.

You're okay anon. I am going to clarify that this is a queer person critiquing upon a poorly mishandled drag persona of an animated Italian mobster spider that is named after cocaine. I am aware of the extremities here but I cannot stress enough how harmful viv's surface level writing for only her character designs is genuinely harmful and hurtful to me, as a queer person.

I see the themes she attempted to write but having angel dust only centered purely around sex, sexual advantages from the porn industry [without substance[, the pimp abuse and nearly racist depictions of Italians [Gold tooth mobster who only likes guns, violence, sex, drugs, money, alcohol etc,]-

I could go on and on and on as to why Angel Dust despite seeming to come from some level of apathy to drag kings/queens is nothing but surface level tripe. I do not care if the show releases and all it is focused upon is Valentino's abuse and misdeeds towards angel, IS THERE ANYTHING TO THIS CHARACTER BESIDES BEING ABUSED.

there is a difference of wanting to design a drag persona and having the gender be ambiguous but it is an entirely different level of tripe bullshittery to have a character that is allegedly surrounded around drag performing and openly being himself, is supposedly forced under a guise of abuse to undergo the said drag performing...????

Having a AMAB crossdressing to be a drag persona but then take that empowerment away from him, as if he was never allowed to be feminine in the first place. Angel Dust screams tryhard sexy appeal. I do not understand his, alastor, or Stolas for that matters' 'sex' appeal if they are not written well nor with any care for that regard about the communities they are representing.

Viv just wants to write the themes of addiction, gay trauma and industry abuse? That's perfectly fine as long as there is nuance and reasoning and justification for those characters turning to those types of aliments for aid. What do I meaaan????

Alastor has no asexual/aromantic representation, if anything the fandom has proven that it is APHOBIC !!!

Stolas takes pills and it never going to be brought up until Octavia finds out and then SHE is casted to be the villain over calling out the fact that her dad is a POS that only cares about Blitzo! GENUINELY WHAT?

Blitz is an alcoholic stalker SEXUAL HARRASSER that has NO REPRECUSSIONS WHATSOVER FOR SAID DRINKING, IF ANYTHING THE SERIES PRAISES HIM TO BE ONE!!!!

Husk is also a surface level alcoholic that doesn't get called into question! I'm sorry I'm not talking about the main point you asked anon but genuinely please look at the larger scope over why viv just depicts abuse and substance use as 'haha comically funny' while attempting to 'humanize' her Demons. It seems that the show is just pro-abuse and of they genuinely actually have Valentino try to be threatening or a well written pimp ill laugh and delete my blogs honestly since I have no hope from script leaks revolving around him comparing guns to cocks. Viv really loves writing about industry abuse with no nuance here.

I did not bring up Molly whatsoever because unlike Viv I actually love the drag performer community and empowering culture they represent. It's the same reason I believe that Brandon Rodgers is anti-drag despite constantly crossdressing/displaying it within his videos. It's harmful because his drag didn't NEED to be a separate person angel dust should BE the DRAG PERFORMING NAME.

Oh heyyy uh yeah, it’s not pretty.

Fake leaks with this much detail aren’t a thing and its all on YouTube. so here goes, Stolas moves out of his palace and Stella with Andre take it back. It seems stolas had no choice but to move due to him getting his powers and position taken away for lending his grimoire out illegally (my guess). Kindve a shame because I always liked his palace it added more character than his dialogue ever did.

Via has a mental break about her father leaving her but Stella made him, and faking happiness for her sake all this time, and she’s enraged and confused at him for it, seeing the anti sad pills he overused so much as proof of the deep depression he hid from her. While also demonising anti depressants way to go show, she has visions of her innocent smiling dad being corrupted by an evil imp who he loves. There’s also a scene where she takes her child self from his arms to hold in her own, which I really liked. She also says “you will only know my name” which I bet will last maybe 2 episodes before she moves in with stolas and blitz or something.

The melodrama is incredibly bizarre compared to the cherubs LooLoo land and spring broken fun times we all want but the shippers wanted stolitz drama so here it is. Also the You will be Okay reprise will be nice but I hear it sounds like a Wheezer song.

She awakens her Andrealphus inherited powers, and her scene is basically exactly the same as when Elsa freaked out in front of her palace in front of commoners and threw ice spears around or smth. Knocking stolas over but guess who picks him back up. Then stolas, as you can imagine, runs to her and cries a lot and fawns over her because he’s done nothing wrong in his life it was all that bitch Stella.

It’s literally just Anna confronting Elsa at the palace and her freaking out. It’s literally just that.

Anywayyys back on 4chan it says “Octavia basically kills her mom” after she rejects stolas she renters the palace and most likely either by a misplaced ice spear from her crazy female emotions, or petrification powers bouncing off a mirror? Stella is turned into a statue or into ice. Andrealphus I think, as well. For some reason this time they’re at his house I think. And all four of IMP are standing around for some reason and it looks extremely awkward because they don’t even know this girl but are all very emotionally invested in the Goetia family drama.

But Viv said it’s all ok in the end this is just a plot device to get Stella out of the way of stolitz and force the two to live together all cozy and domestic while Via provides some drama to trauma bind them over. It’s kinda like if Seeing Stars was an entire show.

Helluva Boss is Mean to its Audience

Helluva Boss, the show, is mean. This isn't an attack on anyone who worked on the show. This is also not an attack on people who like Helluva Boss. If despite all of the things I'll discuss you still enjoy the show than good for you!

PREMISE:

Helluva Boss is about IMP, a business run by low class demons in hell. They're assassines who kill targeted humans for their clients. It's a work place comady with an edge.

Damn! That's a really cool and original premise. But is Helluva Boss really any of these things? Currently we have 9 episodes (excluding the pilot) but only 3 of them are actually about the business. And based on seank pics, leaks and set up from season 1 it doesn't seem like the show is interested in telling the story that they promised.

I'm sure a lot of people, including me, were disappointed that the show isn't actually about the amazing premise.

Helluva Boss promises an awesome premise only to focus on whatever they feel like focusing on.

LORE:

Helluva Boss takes place in hell, which means there are a lot of basic rules to establish, both the basics of how the world operates, and in order to understand the stakes and plot.

Case and point, how does death works for demons? We need to know this because death is at stake on multiple epidodes, but we don't know what's at stake. Another example is the threat of getting discovered by humans. We're told that if IMP will get discovered, there will be serious consequences. What serious consequences? Are they gonna go to jail? Is there even jail in hell? Are they gonna get killed? But wait we don't even know how death works. Who's enforcing this? The questions that arise from Helluva Boss are endless. What are Stolas's powers?

Did you ever realise that they never explain the rings of hell? They mention them a lot, yeah, but they never explain that there are seven rings, one for each sin, stacked on top of eachother. What's the difference between each ring?

Well, if you do want to understand these basics that should be in the show, than I have some sad news for you. You're gonna have to watch hours of livestreams and podcasts. While taking everything with a grain of salt because the information could be outdated. If you even find the information. You shouldn't have to go on twitter to find something as basic as this:

This is not a "fan fact", it's information that should be in the show. But when you aren't this lucky to find a screenshot of a tweet.. I'm so sorry.

Helluva Boss doesn't bother explaining important and/or basic information to its audience. And gives them the massive chore of sitting though all the livesteams and podcasts to potentially find answers to their questions.

CONTRADICTIONS:

The rules that are established, are contradicted by the show. You have to take everything with a grain of salt, because the show will do whatever it wants.

An example could be the need for human disguises. In Spring Broken we're told that it's forbidden to go to the human world wothout disguises, you can't be spotted by humans. But in that very episode humans spot Moxxie and mistake him for a possum, and it was played off as a joke.

But wait! In C.H.E.R.U.B they take very good care to not be spotted. And when they aren't in disguises in Truth Seekers, they're caught by an FBI-like organization. Okay so human disguises are a must! Right? Well no!

Because in Seeing Stars Moxxie and Millie straight up profit from the attention. But aren't there government officials after them? All Octavia got was a couple of weird looks?

And wait if all the sudden it's not super dangerous why did Blitzø try to get a costume while the other characters are just casually walk as demons? Druing my first watch of Seeing Stars I waited for the agents to show up. This was so confusing.

Another instance of this happening is with Stolas's affair. We're told (and shown) that Stolas's affair is scandalous, that it should be kept a secret. And yet:

Stolas "flirts" with Blitzø on a stage in front of a big crowd. You're left thinking: So Stolas's affair is a secret but not to those people? Why is that? Is that because of their low status? But they can start rumors..

The show has these sort of inconsistencies while you're the one doing all the work to make it make sense. But it's not canon. I'm sure many audience members were confused after trying to understand why the show didn't follow its rules these times, but not on other times. You can't trust anything the show says, because it doesn't remember.

Helluva Boss establishes rules only to ignore them, yet simultaneously follow them. Creating confusion and frustration because the show does whatever it wants with no regard to the actual people watching.

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT:

Helluva Boss has a lot of big moments of meaningful character development. These moments leave the audience excited for the next episode, expecting a paradigm shift and a (sometimes) massive change in the status quo.

For instance, in Loo Loo Land Stolas and Octavia had a conversation in which Stolas realised that his affair is seriously hurting Octavia. It appares that Stolas will Stop "flirting" with Blitzø and try to fix the broken home he's creating.

Another example would be in Truth Seekers. Moxxie and Blitzø have a heart to heart about their partnership, the development is that going foreword Blitzø will treat Moxxie with respect.

But do any of these moments stick?

Wouldn't you know it, in the next apparence it's like the big development never happened. They even reference the events of Loo Loo Land in the very episode where they ignore them, because that's the type of middle finger you get for caring.

Helluva Boss does massive developments, gets it's audience excited to see the change, only to ignore it completely sometimes as soon as an episode later.

SIDE NOTE:

Remember when Helluva Boss straight up clickbaited us?

Loona and Octavia were together for like two minutes.

CONCLUSION:

Helluva Boss constantly punishes it's audience for their sheer investment in it. The premise, the worldbuilding, the contradictions anf the character development – It's just mean.

To have the show make sense on a very basic level you need to work. You need to watch livesstreams and listen to podcasts, you need to rationalize inconsistencies in characters you were very invested in, for a show that promised you something really special only to ignore it.

I honestly feel so bad for the fans who are getting slapped in the face for caring. This shouldn't be the viewing experience for any show. What a mean way to be treating an audience.

Me and Mod Star have seen the HB leaks, I love how Octavia was being much more "Go the fuck away" to Stolas... I really hope she isn't turned into a villain for not supporting Stolas and Blitz for basically ruining her life. Also, that weird Ice magic thing looked fucking awesome but I believe they will SOMEHOW mess it up and have like 20 plot holes with it. I don't exactly know what the audition leaks are so I will force Mod Star to find them for my own enjoyment -Mod Beetle

John Waters, I've met you in person. You're such a sweet and intelligent man who is going to get looked up by extremely immature people who are going to like your content for the wrong reasons, or like it for the wrong reasons. Also knowing the leaks of the Full Moon, the trailer makes it 100% look better than its going to be.

Also, this really has devolved into the Blitz and Stolas show, huh? Jesus christ I'm so sick of this soap opera shit.

Also the GhostFuckers leak and the leak of Octavia's episode are real. Minus the Millie suicide which they're changing.

Overall...... ech. Fantastic animation and VA talent being wasted on trash like this. And not even good trash like John's.

In a better world, I'd say that maybe Viv would learn something from him about how to create real subversive queer trash but we all know that's not going to happen.

In the Fitzo AU, I keep imagining like... A family outing with Stolas, Blitzø, Fizz (probably in disguise), Sunny, Stella, Octavia, and Loona, in which Fizzarolli is suddenly made KEENLY aware how protective the children are of Blitzø? Sure, Blitzø can handle himself just fine, but that doesn't mean any of the kids want to see their dad/stepdad get harassed for any amount of time - they like playing protector. Stella/Octavia are protective because Blitzø is more fragile than they are, while Sunny is protective because he knows first hand what imps go through. TBH they probably feel a need to fill the gap that Fizz left in their family dynamic, in a way, even though Stolas is plenty protective of their dad. Loona is also made to be protective of Blitzø in the Season 2 teaser clip, so I applied this ideology to all of the kids and imagine him walking away from their group to grab their food order or something only to be hit on by some rando - in which Sunny's head spins around 180° because what the FUCK are you doing, that is their father, you better RUN fucko because this clown gremlin hybrid will fucking maul anybody bold enough to make a move on their dad and don't you forget it. They're too ashamed to admit that part of it is fear of their family being ripped apart again.

I've been avoiding both the fully-colored and rough animation leaks so I only know the general idea of them but yeah, all of them are fairly protective of Blitz, particularly Loona and Sunny. Octavia mostly thinks he's cool enough to take care of himself, and Stella's similar, but Loona was just old enough to remember what life was like before him and doesn't want him hurt, and Sunny was sort of used to him being some of their only 'real' family for a while so they'll be dammed if they'll let anything happen.

Sunny especially had moments where they vowed to be better than their 'pops' after stuff happened, so any threat to this family they've finally managed to stick together with gum and tears and Determination will be dealt with.

Stolas x Blitzø - Angst

Stella had absolutely had it. She had actually caught Stolas in bed with that thing.

That urchin who'd fucked her husband. The low life imp that Stolas had chosen over not only her, but over Octavia. She was tired of it. She'd had a gun ready since she had first heard of it happening, and was so fucking ready for this.

"You cheating, imp fucking, bastard!" She shouted, slamming the door open the rest of the way. Stolas shot up out of bed, a nervous look on his face as he positioned himself in front of Blitzø.

"S-Stella! I thought you were out with.. with your friends-" Stolas started but Stella cocked her gun.

"Cut the fucking shit Stolas!" She shouted, Blitzø getting up out of the bed, still mostly dressed.

"I thought you fucking ended things with her!" The short imp said, a bit defensively.

"I-I well, you see-"

"Keep your mouth shut you fucking imp! You-"

"Stella! You can't speak to him like that!" Stolas got out of the bed, carefully trying to approach her. She turned on him though, a fire in her eyes as her finger started the squeeze the trigger.

Stolas didn't even have time to react as Blitzø ran to his aid, taking the bullet to the upper ribs before he hit the ground. Stella and Stolas stood quietly for a long few moments, Stella's hands shaking.

"You ruin everything... Don't you...?" She finally said, dropping her gun to the ground as Blitzø trembled, clutching at his wound. "You ruin our marriage, you sleep around, you hurt your daughter... and you dragged this pathetic fucking imp down with you..." Stella clenched her fists as Stolas hit his knees.

"I-I'm.. I'm so sorry... Stella... Bitzy.. I Stella, please you have to help me get him to a doctor..." Stolas managed as he scooped the small imp into his arms, Blitzø wincing at the pain that seemed to shoot up his whole body, his breathing was getting heavy, some blood even leaking from his lips. Stella was quiet before she turned away, Stolas getting back up to his feet. She didn’t want to see that desperate look on his face.

"Figure that out by yourself." She whispered, and like that, she was gone. Stolas panicked, his body trembling as he wracked his brain for what to do.

"Y-Your headquarters! Of course, there's got to be someone there! Right Blitzy? Someone who could you help you! Of course!"

No response...

"Blitzy...?"

The imp had gone still in his arms, when had his strained breathing stopped...? When had it gotten this silent...

"I'm.. I'm gonna get you to see Loona.. don't you want to see your daughter again...?" Stolas forced out... No response.

He knew he was too late... There was nothing he could do... He slumped against the side of his bed with Blitzø in his arms, cradling him close.

"I'm so sorry... This... This is all my fault...” Sorry if this seemed a little bit rushed, I was just really excited to write it! (And also have to do some last minutes on the DND campaign since it might start in like two or three hours!)

So basically I’m ganna be very vague but the same person who leaked that Octavia ending demon design picture also leaked the lyrics to Blitz’s upcoming song, it’s VERY short and all it is is a reprise to Stolas’s song from The Circus, but good god is it bad, I expected this of course but all it does is paint Stolas as the Uwu innocent flawless victim who can do no wrong, and Stella as the evil bitch who tormented him, so it’s Blitz just taking the blame for everything and making Stolas out to be this helpless baby who needs saving and was never at fault. I’m so glad I’m dropping this show I can’t.

I will never forget the reaction I had when we first learned that Striker was hired by Stella to kill Stolas. It was an idea I never liked, it felt like pure fanfiction only a heavy Stolitz shipper would write to come up with heavy stakes, and it felt like a desperate attempt to demonize Stella so you could instantly side with Stolas from here on out, and forget his own flaws completely.

Again, Stella COULD have been a character who was a flawed mother, so blinded by her rage of being forced to marry or being cheated on and lost sight of what was important, but you’re clearly not supposed to sympathize with her at all. I really don’t understand how the writing wanted to be complex with a character like Stolas, how he cares about his family but wasn’t happy with his marriage, but then make his wife one note and evilly flat, all because of blatant favoritism and the fear of someone like Stolas actually being in the wrong for once and wrongfully hurting others around him. Stella deserves better writing. She deserves to be just as complex as Stolas, and even if you don’t want her to be sympathetic, that doesn’t mean you can’t write her in an interesting way, because she’s so boringly flat and her motivations are constantly all over the place and make no sense, especially since the show won’t even put the effort in to explore the relationship between her and her daughter Octavia, it’s so funny how this show is obsessed with Stolas’s family drama and yet NEVER bothers to show the point of view of the other family members.

It’s also clear that Stella won’t get any better from here, I think the episode 6 or 12 leak (I forgot which episode) of her and Andrealphus laughing at the fact that Stolas has been trying to call her daughter all month is proof that the writers have no intentions in making her interesting, sympathetic, or complex, and it really sucks guys. It really does. She’s just a tool for cheap drama and for Stolas to suffer because Viv LOVES drama expect when it’s a character actually getting the consequences of their OWN actions, not a Saturday morning cartoon villain, cause that’s all Stella is.

So we know Stella probably won’t have anything to her in the new episode other than “evil bitch”, but honestly….I’ve been thinking about what this one YouTuber had said about her, and it was that Stella and Stolas have no relationship….and…..guess what? They’re exactly right, they really don’t. Their relationship is so shallow, we have no idea how Stolas feels about Stella outside of the bullshit we’re told of him apparently trying to make it work, and she just…doesn’t like him and is trying to kill him. That’s it, there’s no in between or depth to their relationship. There’s nothing regarding how they take care of Octavia, there’s nothing on how they felt about the arranged marriage, we never even get to SEE them interact outside of Stella just popping up occasionally here and there for the writers to show how much of a bitch she is and move on. She calls him boring and complains, that’s it. We don’t know how they work together or what that dynamic is, there’s no exploration on how they handle royal business together, there’s just no insight, ESPECIALLY from Stella’s perspective because god forbid we have an episode that doesn’t revolve around Stolas, Blitz or Moxxie.

It doesn’t help that their dynamic is also all over the place. They go from being in a bad spot and the family being miserable because of the cheating, to flat out domestic abuse, to despising each other and pettily snapping back at the other, arguing constantly. Like yeah it’s clear they don’t LIKE each other, but these two are supposed to be married and in the royal family, and yet they have no chemistry or clear dynamic at all because the show doesn’t know how to develop and explore relationships/character dynamics outside of quick witty banter. How do they treat each other on a normal day? How do they interact? How did they work together when Stella was still at the house and Octavia was around? We clearly see they would go to Loo Loo land, they would sit as a family at the dinner table in Harvest Moon, we clearly hear that by Octavia’s point of view, she has SOME kind of relationship with her mother, and we see portraits of them together.

There’s obviously a family dynamic going on and yet the writing is so one sided. It neglects Stella and Octavia’s elements completely, and only focuses on how Stolas treats his daughter, nothing else. It’s amazing how Viv claims she’s trying to go for a complex two sided relationship where fans can debate who’s in the right or not, and yet the actual show is shallow and flat AF. You want to learn about Stella and Octavia’s dynamic? Too bad! You want to learn about Stella and how her childhood and being married was? Too bad! You want to learn how Stolas and Stella worked together as a married duo and how they raised Octavia? Too bad! You want to see if there were any good areas to their relationship? Too bad! Just know that Stolas is an uwu soft boi who loves his daughter, and Stella is the evil nasty bitch who wants to torture her husband! That’s all you need to know! And I’d say “let the show play out”, but again….judging by the leaks the show has no interest in fleshing Stella or her story out more, and I find it so funny that fans are able to somehow come up with essay videos or “deep dives” into Stolas and Stella’s relationship when there’s just nothing there. It’s flat, and what you see on the surface is what it is. Stella is just evil and Stolas is just good. Their relationship has no nuance or depth at all, and Stella doesn’t need to be a good person or sympathetic to accomplish that. Just fucking show us their relationship and what they went through outside of just Stella being mean and Stolas being miserable or rolling his eyes, but we all know I’m asking the show WAY too much because that would actually require non bias writing and dedication to a character that isn’t Stolas himself.

So Lilith/Eve is the true villian, wanting to destroy the relationship of Charlie and Lucifer?

Of course it is. (If true).

And her liking these tweets of Luci x Lilith lately makes a whole lot more sense. The fans are most likely not going to take this well if this leak is true. Also, it makes sense that her trading card crops out her face, gives her no last name, and makes her look sinister as hell. She also still has not yet had her VA revealed and no real good look at her.

I just... it's interesting as well that Alastor is secretly sent to protect Charlie. (Male character, too, of course. And seeing someone say he's also a father figure now makes sense as well.) I always liked the idea that he was secretly going to turn on the Hotel and Charlie (or just leaves) and be an obvious hidden antagonist. And it's interesting that Charlie DOES end up forgiving her. Viv mentioned spending time with her mom over the holiday, so it's clear that perhaps that they do have some sort of civil relationship at the very least.

And of course, the Root of Evil is a woman.

Chai, I say this as nicely as possible, especially after carefully analyzing and seeing the complaints of HB as a whole, and that recent interview with Brandon asking about how women are written, and about Ghostfuckers (whilst also knowing about the leaks of it). Also likes silly tweets about being depressed, and most of her main cast of Helluva consists of depressed characters. Especially Stolas (who is also rich, and Vuv defends like crazy (He's her self insert/her father rolled into one character). That one is not too hard to see. Most people are depressed these days (myself included).

Vivienne needs therapy.

She needs it if she hasn't already been getting it.

I understand that writing out trauma is therapeutic. I have author friends who do it. I do it myself. But I also see my own therapist every week.

She clearly hates women. She loves her own father and incorporates loving father/daughter relationships into her own work and clearly does not let anything get in the way of that.

That's why the main character is allowed to be woman. Because it's Viv and the relationship with her own father. Charlie is also bi... which Viv is apparently too.

Something else I've noticed is older bad dads.

Which is ironic because God punishes Lucifer (his son) and Luci wants to be good for Charlie.

I think it's quite possible that maybe her grandfather was not as kind to her father, as her father is to her. See Crimson to Moxxie (it can be assumed Moxxie wants children and would be a loving father). See Paimon to Stolas, and Cash to Blitzo.

But then, going down the line of the newer fathers being better to their daughters. Stolas tries with Octavia (doesn't try very well), Blitz REALLY tries with Loona, Millie's dad seems to have a healthy relationship with her. Perhaps her father has shared with her that his relationship with his dad wasn't great and that he wanted to be a better father to her and her sisters. And whatever her mother did to her/her father...yikes.

Her latest IG post also does mention being depressed about "plans changing" and that food from her dad helps.

I just... wow. Viv can be so easily read. She really doesn't leave anything hidden. And she can't stop herself from writing out her truth.

And that's not going to go over with the fans or public at all, I'm sure of it.

It is also interesting to have a male voicing Katie Killjoy. Hmm. Not that I have a problem with men voicing women, but when it comes to Viv... I don't have a good feeling about it. I've also noticed Brandon seeming a bit miserable in his IG posts and his HH ones don't seem very excited either.

I think his declining views on his own channel other than the 2 HB ones say a lot. Especially when he's clearly trying to placate Viv by saying he's "one of the worst writers of HB".

Chai... oof. I don't know what else to say. We'll just see what comes next.

Thank you for all of this, Armchair Psychology Anon. Your writeups are always fascinating to read, in a haunting sort of way.

I don't know what's going on in Viv's personal life and family history, but all this is pointing to something that demands a really good therapist. Viv being an awful person doesn't negate that.
