Dog hybrid!Leon S. Kennedy x fem K9 handler!reader
Total words: 3.6k
One of the hybrids at your new job causes a lot more trouble for you than you can ever imagine.
warnings: !!18+!! !!MDNI!! noncon/rape, biting, violence, gore, gun mention, breeding kink, somnophilia, knotting, public sex, hybrids, bestiality-ish (hybrids not considered as people despite them being mostly human), Leon is sort of yandere in this
a/n: this is technically my first fic (💀) so it’s a bit rough, and anything in this that makes you go “huh that actually isn’t that bad” is probably thanks to this getting a read-over + suggestions by the much more talented @noowayybroo who also writes great fics that are infinitely better than this one (they’re actually good, go read them!!)  I picture re2 leon with this but it doesn’t really matter. title is because i can’t title things and it’s funny to me (i am dying of irony poisoning). formatting on tumblr is terrible what the hell
You are hired as the new K9 handler at the local police station. When you arrive for your first day, the chief brings you to the kennels and introduces you to the dogs that you'll be training while you're here. You’re a bit nervous, this job being the first time you really get to test your skills, but you try your best to not let your apprehension show.
You come face-to-face with a group of stern-faced dogboys, who are obediently sitting, waiting for your commands. Well, most of them are. They seem to have lined up by seniority, and despite your view of the dogs later in the line being blocked by some of the bigger dogs, a light-colored dog at the very end catches your attention with all of his movement. Approaching the smallest dog at the end of the line causes him to become overexcited, jumping up to try and touch you.
K9 recruit Kennedy, or Leon, according to the engraving his basic collar had, enthusiastically greets you by standing up and licking your cheek. His long, fluffy tail wags excitedly as he starts to... bounce? Out of happiness. He manages to stand still for just a few moments so he can say something to you, but you can tell it’s taking all of his effort to stop moving.
"It's so nice to meet you! Hi! I'm Leon! I love you!"
You’re amused by the pup’s declaration, and scratch behind his ears when he bows his head to you. You find his mannerisms charming, if a bit out of place, and you wonder if he knows he’ll be completely still and calm like the other dogs after you train him.  The chief states that officer Kennedy is the newest and youngest of the group, and he arrived after the old handler left, so he hasn't had any training at all.
"He's eager but a bit of a troublemaker. Shouldn't be a problem for you though, of course." The chief laughs, patting you on your shoulder before leaving you to your devices with the dogs.
You go through exercises with the entire pack, pleased to see that most of them were already well-trained and would just need practice to maintain that training. You give extra attention to Leon, who is indeed eager to follow your orders, but seems constantly distracted. He has lots of energy and seems to prefer pets and scratches behind his fluffy ears to any kind of treat. He seems to be getting along well with the other dogboys, but after a week of you being there, something about Leon changed.
He was still the overexcited puppy you knew him as, but he was a lot more distracted than normal. You catch Leon staring at you with a dopey look on his face, responding to nothing until you gently pat him on his head or he sees you interact with another dog. Leon doesn’t like this, getting into fights with whichever dogboy you seemed to favor over him, who much to the other dog’s credit, shrugs Leon off and ignores him. He constantly takes your items and hides them, his favorite item being the keys to the kennel, which he hides in what you feel like infinite amounts of obscure spots around the room. Whatever the item is, you end up being stuck in there for an extra hour until you find them. Any discipline you dish out is met with that same, stupid smile, and you watched his tail thump on the ground happily, even when you called him a "bad dog". All of this was starting to get to you, but you figured that you can eventually train him out of it. After all, he's still new, and maybe he's still adjusting to having to interact with you. At least, this is what you would have thought if he weren't getting more... physical with you.
Constantly following you around, even after you dismiss him so you can train the other dogs, he curls around your feet and bites down on your clothes to stop you from walking away from him. He shoves his face into your crotch, forcing you to push him away roughly. He takes the opportunity to lick at your groin if you take too long to push him away, and as your reaction to the sudden shock of wetness and warmth quickened, the more often he would try to press himself there. You eventually place him in a crate while you are working in the kennel as you can’t do anything productive without him tripping you up.
Leon isn’t too happy about this, and howls loudly the entire time, forcing you to muzzle him in order to prevent noise complaints from your coworkers. The muzzle only stays on until he quiets down and promises to behave, but it wouldn't even be 5 minutes before he misbehaves again, and you feel his tongue on your clothed ass. All you can do is sigh in disappointment and drag a whimpering Leon back into his crate. You would think that being publicly humiliated in front of the other dogs would act as a deterrent, but it was as if Leon didn't care at all for their thoughts.
It isn’t just his behavior that is strange. You feel embarrassed to even notice this, but he sports an almost constant hard-on, which was laughed off at the vet as "just something that dogs have sometimes, it'll go away soon." but you're glad to know that he has a clean bill of health otherwise. You're not sure why he's so naughty lately -- you wish that there would be at least some paperwork regarding his history before he came to the precinct --but it's as if they picked him directly off of the street. You're worried that his behavior is due to hormonal reasons, and if it gets any worse it can only be fixed by, well, fixing him.
You spend more time training the pack, with Leon showing some progress whenever he isn’t trying to press himself on you. You really hope that his problems won't crop up in more serious situations, and you pray to whatever higher power is out there that he isn’t called to a scene anytime soon. Of course, when all the other dogs were unavailable, you are called to bring a dog over to investigate a crime scene. You walk towards the officers already present with Leon in tow, trying to keep him at an appropriate distance. Leon is overjoyed to finally reach the site and hugs your leg after you stop in front of the two officers. You harshly pull at his collar when you feel him trying to subtly grind on your shoe, giving him a stern look. The other officers smile at you and pet Leon’s head, which thankfully makes him stop humping you.
While you're getting briefed, a shot nearby briefly deafens you as one of your fellow officers collapses, head burst on the pavement. You try to grab Leon to duck somewhere safely while you figure out who is shooting at you, but Leon seems to have gotten spooked or got lost in the chaos, as he is nowhere in sight. You can only wish that whoever was firing at you will take pity on the poor pup. You peek out from your cover to try and get more information, but you’re shoved unceremoniously on the ground as one of the instigators hits your kneecaps with the butt of their gun, before pointing the nozzle at your head.
"Not even an actual cop, just the dumb dog-fucker." They sneer, before hitting you with the gun again, this time a hard butt to your jaw.
"Guess you weren't a good bitch for him if he completely abandoned you like this."
You're completely discombobulated from the assault and you close your eyes to stop the light from making the agonizing pain in your head worse. You tear up from the sting of pain and your failure, and you can only sniffle as the gunman starts to pull the trigger.
A loud growl comes from behind your attacker, and a blur of fluffy blond tail and sun-kissed skin leaps at the assaulter. Their gun is knocked out of their hands, and you only belatedly realize that the liquid leaving their throat is their blood gushing out by the pint. You're still in shock, but the gruesome sight brings you to some of your senses and you quickly realize that Leon is going to kill that person if he doesn’t stop now. You order Leon to let go, as the assailant is definitely not going to be able to hurt anything for quite a while, but to your dismay Leon does not immediately follow your order. Leon looks directly at you, crunching down hard one last time, before trotting up to you with a wide smile that would be otherwise cute if blood and sinew wasn't smeared all over his face. His fluffy tail wagged happily, and he looked imploringly at you for a treat.
"I did good! I protected my mate!"
You ignore his second statement, and look at Leon with apprehension. You have a fleeting thought about petting him just in case he decides to turn that aggression towards you - but your rational brain takes over and you don't want to reward him for a near-fatal mauling, and you’re kind of confident that he wouldn’t attack you at the moment. You make sure the coast is clear before quickly turning around (and holding yourself back from comforting Leon after he lets out the most pitiful whine) and call for medical attention for the unfortunate person. As the EMT whisks them away, and feeling more secure with other people around you, you scold Leon. You bring him to the drying pool of blood and make him look at it.
"Bad boy!" A light smack on his cheek.
"Listen to me when I tell you to let go!" A rougher smack on his left arm, of which he was trying to wrap around you.
"No more treats for the next month!" You force his neck to turn towards you, and are pained by his teary-eyed expression.
"But I protected you! I was good!"
"Good boys do exactly what I say."
"But-"
You push him to the ground and start walking back to the station, giving very little slack to the leash. You try to ignore his small whines of, "but I was being a good mate."
After writing your report about the entire incident, you were given a special assignment. Leon's behavior was found unacceptable by both you and your bosses, so he needed intensive training outside of work hours, or he’ll be put down. You thought that was a harsh punishment – shouldn’t they at least try to neuter him first? – but you shudder at the thought of Leon attacking some poor vet tech as savagely as he did that gunman. You were still upset at him, but you thought he still had potential, so you decided to take him to your house. You reason that Leon needs some time with you alone so he'd get his fill of your presence and maybe he'll start to act right. You set up a little dog bed for him on the ground, but he pouts and tearfully exclaims,
"I don't want to sleep on the ground! Too cold, not near you!"
You figure that he was just nervous, and the way his ears dropped tugged at your heartstrings, so you let him sleep with you for a few days to make him comfortable.
Big mistake.
Leon refuses to bathe and insists on rolling around in your bed. He drools all over the sheets and you think he's trying to mark the bed with other bodily fluids as well, the sheets smelling foul at the end of the day. You eventually get him in the tub, but he throws a fit and never lets go of your hands the entire time, splashing water everywhere with his tail out of excitement… or spite. To top it off he gets moodier whenever you need to wash your bedsheets due to whatever it was that Leon was doing to them.
It can and does get worse; you wake up some nights to Leon humping your leg, whimpering and drooling as he desperately seeks his release. You, waking up from some of the deepest rests of your life (Leon, despite being a nuisance, is very warm, and that was apparently all you needed for your mild insomnia to be fixed) can only muster the energy to be mildly annoyed by this, and give him a kick to make him stop. He does, and curls up in shame afterwards, but only for a little while, before he's right back to it.
Outside of your sleeping arrangement, Leon continues to be a menace. He makes a complete mess of the house, with him being clever enough to escape the crate (but not clever enough to not brag about it to you, telling you how much of a "smart mate" he is) and you think he's been taking your unwashed laundry and storing it somewhere you can't find it. You're wearing your last pieces of clean clothes before you finally find the pile behind an unused crawl space underneath the stairs, with the clothes feeling very... crusty. You confront Leon about this, but he only tilts his head and pants, the movement drawing your attention to his disgustingly hard (and slimy? Ugh, you shouldn't look too close at it) cock twitching whenever you speak to him.
Leon continues to act strangely, and you're worried that he might be sick. While you're scheduling another appointment to the vet, Leon suddenly hugs you from behind and nuzzles your neck. You're about to harshly reprimand him before he asks you to take him for a walk at his favorite park.
"Please! Please! I'll be good if you take me! Please!"
You feel bad for him, knowing that going to the vet is an unpleasant experience for any dogboy, and you tell him that you'll take him to the park the morning of the appointment, but only if he lets you go right now. He reluctantly obliges, and you're finally able to make the actual appointment.
"C'mon boy, what's the matter?" You tug on his leash gently to get him to move, but he lets out a growl.
The day comes, and it starts off like any normal day –well, as normal as it can be with Leon living with you. You wake up, noting no disruptions at night, but Leon was already at his food bowl jumping around. When you go to fill it, he has a concerning gleam in his eyes that you at first think is a sign of his illness getting worse. You felt bad about everything that Leon went through lately and decided to take him on a walk immediately after he's done eating, as whatever you have to do can wait.
You put the leash on his collar (and you think you hear a faint growl but chalk it up to it being early and you being groggy) and make your way to the park. It's beautiful outside, and you opted for light-weight clothing. The park was mostly empty as it was very early in the morning, and besides Leon barking at the occasional jogger that passed by, everything was going smoothly. You’re enjoying yourself, happy to have a pleasant experience with Leon for once. You think Leon is also enjoying it, but you seem to have misjudged him – when the two of you reach the very end of the park trail, he stops moving and stands very still.
He asks, "Why don't you love me? I’m a good mate!" You freeze, never having had Leon growl at you before. You approach him cautiously and crouch down to him at his eye-level.
"Leon, of course I love you, you're just a little bit sick okay? After we go to the vet I'll bring you lots of treats and cuddles." You gently pat his head, noting the way his ears seem to be stuck stiffly upright. You give him a kiss on his cheek before turning around and walking back towards the entrance of the park. The leash is almost jerked out of your hands as Leon moves the other way.
"Baby, what's wrong with you today? You asked to come here!" You approach Leon hoping he would give some sort of response, but as you stand a few feet away you only see Leon staring intensely at you. The look in his eyes was worrying you, only seeing him gawk at something like this when he was about to eat.
"Leon. Come on. We can't stay here all day." You walk away from Leon, but you don't get too far. Suddenly, he sprints towards you and jumps on your back, the force pushing you on your knees.
You let out a startled yelp as Leon cages you with his arms, the leash knocked out of your hands. His weight keeps you down on the grass, and you can feel his muscles working to keep you down through your thin shirt. You order him to get off of you, but he snarls and bites down hard on your shoulder. Muffled by your shoulder skin, you feel more than hear him say, "Need to show you that you're my mate. Mine, mine, mine-"
Somewhere between the throbs of pain coming from the bite, the vibrations of his groans, and the feel of the dry grass on your hands, you feel Leon's cock sliding over your crotch.
"Stay. Mate." He rumbles out after licking the wound on your shoulder a few times. He sits up on his haunches to remove your pants and underwear, your kicks at him pitiful as your legs were effortlessly held in place. Once those were out of the way, you can feel his hot breath directly hitting your exposed cunt. You feel your face heating up from embarrassed horror as he buries his nose into it. A smothered moan leaves him, the vibrations causing you to moan as well. Leon rubs his face into your bare crotch, slick soaking his face, your moans spurring him on. After he had his fill of your scent, he aggressively laps at your cunt, his wide tongue able to cup the entirety of your vulva. He pulls his head away for a brief moment, staring at your pussy in awe.
“So good. Just as I thought…”
He stuffs his tongue deep into your opening and swirls his tongue around, the wet appendage making you shiver disgracefully from the pressure. The taste was making his cock jump and drool precum from arousal. One hand gripped your hip, leaving several scratches from his claws. The other hand was moved to your clit and rubbed harshly, and the combination from the pleasure of his tongue and the pain from his sharp nails teasing your clit causes you to orgasm shamefully fast. Any fight you have leaves you as your brain completely blanks out.
Leon laps up your fluids as you shake. After a few more licks that he savored, he moves back up to your neck. He licks a stripe from your bite wound to your nose. You grind on his crotch, which encourages him to line his painfully aroused cock at your entrance. You reach around and help guide the tip into you, and Leon slides right in. You let out a squeak as Leon immediately sets a fast and rough pace. The slaps of his thighs on your ass sounding incredibly lewd in contrast to the otherwise peacefully quiet park. Leon's cock reached deep inside of you, and the unique texture only enhanced your arousal. The tip of his tapered cock lightly tapped your cervix every time he shallowly thrusted into you, and your painfully clenching uterus causes your cunt to squeeze around Leon. The pain is too much, black spots filling your vision. Before you can pass out, you reach your second orgasm, and your spasming walls massage Leon's cock as he pistons in and out of you. The orgasm only delays your inevitable fainting spell, making you hypersensitive to every movement of Leon's body. Soon you feel something thick getting caught at your entrance with Leon's frantic thrusts. You're only faintly aware of what was about to happen, finally realizing what it was as Leon mutters about breeding you full of his pups. It's as if your head was dunked in a bucket of ice water, and you try to push Leon off of you with your trembling legs.
"L-Leon no! Don't knot me! Bad dog!" Your pleas are met with a growl and Leon pulling you back into him. What feels like a baseball stretches you open painfully, and you feel blistering hot fluid deep in your nether regions, each load making your pussy throb. Leon settles down and gives small, happy licks on your face, removing your tears. He maneuvers you and himself into a more comfortable position, and between his groans you can almost make out his praises for you for taking his knot so well.
You and Leon lay there on the park grounds in this compromising position, and had the knot not been pressing and pulsing directly on your g-spot you perhaps would've cared more about being naked from the waist-down with a dog stuck inside of you for who-knows-how long, and the amount of blood you are losing from the cuts (now more like lacerations) would likely need a medical professional to stitch then up. You suddenly feel exhausted, and Leon's warmth surrounding you inside and out allows you to finally pass out on the grass. You’re still asleep by the time Leon pops his knot out and admires your gaping cunt, before dragging you into the forest that is bordering the park's edge.
Guess you won't be making that vet appointment today.

Hello! I've seen you around before but never really visiting your page and now i have! (✨I don't regret it✨)
I have an ask but I don't know if you're comfortable about it so answering it is a choice, not an obligation
Ask:
Why do you ship sns?
(i also ship it but i like to ask people what they think about it)
✨I’m very glad you have✨- hi~!
Yes of course. I talked about some of it here
There are quite a few of ships that I like, but I rarely talk about those. I know they’re just that— a ship. But even if there’s more to it… maybe? None of them come even close to the amount of wealth of supporting evidence that SNS holds to prove that yes, Kishimoto sat in front of a desk for 15+ years hunched over an entire love story, deliberately meaning for it to be romantic, but not ever really able to spell it out directly because… Shonen demographics. Probably. Mostly. And company decisions; alas the sequel. (That’s why I don’t really ship SNS, it feels off to me, I rather am a fan? Not important at all, just a distinction I’d like to make anyway.)
And at first it was mostly because other people claim their bond really is romantic through their observations. I wanted to find out for myself and coming to that conclusion took me a lot of digging. The more I did that, the more I started to like SNS, Kishimoto as a storyteller and ‘Naruto’ as a story overall because it stands out in ways other stories don’t.
But.. if you want specifics of my reasons story-wise.. (I will not apologize for the upcoming rant 🧡 you did ask me about SNS after all.. ’s what happens)— feel free to read further:
Major Reason 1— the Manga
Because how do you really start to see layers within a story that aren’t spelled out? I’ve seen some SNS-fans questioning their own beliefs and intuitions, but that’s not a bad thing, nor is it surprising. Kishimoto is a sneaky bastard and we love him for it, but I wouldn’t really agree with people saying how “easy” it is to see true meaning, because “it’s all so obvious” when ‘meaning’ isn’t really always. And it discredits the necessary skill and literary devices Kishimoto used to tell this story from his position as Shonen Mangaka imo. Severely.
Majority of me becoming a fan only started after reading the Manga. Here is where all the extra noise and influence in the Anime from the many (and often different) episode directors and other decision-makers, is removed completely. (I’m not saying that’s all done with ill intent, just, intent best suited for Anime goals that I don’t necessarily agree with in ‘Naruto’s case. I don’t really care otherwise.)
Manga vs. Anime: In Manga is where all the Mangaka’s true subtext is and where their messages through the Theme are a lot more clear than when you view it through episodes. Each episode has separate goals not necessarily tied to the overall Story (like in Manga), but to structure it in a way that optimizes entertainment within the timeframe of an episode. It’s true art of deliberately selecting and stretching of source material. People sometimes don’t believe me when I say that, because if you ignore fillers and the Anime covers the same things as the Manga, surely it won’t make a difference? But it really does. You can use all the extra elements in Animation to strengthen a message (like voice, action, music, pacing and camera-direction), but the opposite is true also. Even as “simple” as coloring can subtly influence subtext. You can use all the elements in whichever way to tell the story— together very powerful, but not all nearly as aligned with the Mangaka’s “truth”.  To test this out of curiosity, I have put the Manga and several episodes side by side and when you study a scene from the Manga (a case study), the underlying messages are sometimes completely removed in the Anime. Or other perceptions are strengthened by showing moments a character thinks back on to show what they mean with their words even if it’s irrelevant at the time. It doesn’t mean it’s not relevant at all, it’s just not the same thing as in the Manga. (I don’t recommend testing it the way I have because it takes an ungodly amount of time ><) And it’s only natural for the Anime to do that because… it’s literally their job to fill in episodes in a way they think is best and fits their goals with their audience in mind. Anime and Manga audiences aren’t the same even if someone belongs to both. This is true at least in theory and from my understanding talking to animators when I traveled, they aren’t treated the same if you compare strategies. That’s also why saying Kishimoto helped with certain movies or his approval of whatever doesn’t say too much (or at all) regarding his personal vision regarding the source, because the execution of the final product has too many elements that have nothing to do with his role or skills in the project, whereas that’s completely different with the Manga. It’s fairly obvious in ‘Gaiden’ and Minato’s story as well. Yet his name is always used to prove otherwise because it’s a marketing tactic and it (unfortunately) works.
Major Reason 2— Subverting Expectations
It’s true that a lot about SNS and their bond is just blatant text and spelled out directly making them both sound incredibly insane and incredibly in love. Meaning, that even if you would watch the Anime or read the Manga on a surface level— you’d realize there’s something more going on regardless. If you question whether your intuition is true on this, watch any reaction to certain moments— you’re not alone. It isn’t for nothing that majority of the general audience mockingly calls Sasuke ‘Sasgay’ since the beginning or are only able to filter an opinion about his motivations through what the surface-narrative says it is: bad. (We can talk about that more in a different post.)
Or people hate Naruto for prioritizing something other than his protagonist’ self “should” prioritize; what is narratively seen as “good”. (Konoha for example. Often why people put Konoha vs. Sasuke when there’s a lot more to it and categorizing it as such only enhances that surface view of good vs bad— it works against the argument these people try to make because that automatically puts Sasuke in the bad-category for most people.. ’s kinda funny, but not really.)
Or how there are complaints because neither Naruto or Sasuke have shown even the slightest interest towards their ‘supposed’ (read: Shonen-‘expected’) love-interests because there isn’t any. Arguing that they should love another character simply because the girlies are stalking and fawning over them holds no ground at all, yet people take it as truth because they don’t know where else to look. To accept or even acknowledge the unexpected means you gotta swim a little deeper to explore the rest of the iceberg. (Yes, ‘Naruto’ really is that special.) If you don’t then it’s pretty easy to blame everything on bad writing, but I don’t think that’s fair at all simply because some people are unwilling/unable to actually see what’s truly written in the first place and can’t connect things otherwise because “no that’d be gay” and “it’s not possible, it’s Shonen so the Hero should fall in love with the most obvious girl-option” despite there being no mutual foundation to support a decision like that. Nor is there any significance that contributes to anything else. (Or in ‘Naruto’s case, Kishimoto mocks the idea of them liking these girls back, which should tell you a lot as well.)
Major Reason 3— Subtext, Plot-Goals & Theme
So alright, there’s text. There’s them giving up their goals for each other, willing to trade their lives for the other’s wellbeing or dreams, wanting to understand and reach hearts being each other’s one and only’s in different ways as well as driving strength, motivation and the cause of inner conflicts… but all of its meaning is found in context. (Yes, that thing that people love to ignore to make up their own.) The foundation of SNS’s bond and what it means to them (and even other characters) is primarily subtext weaved through their character arcs. Their change as a character has all to do with each other and very little with the actual plot, hence their final battle being an emotional one and more climactic (in theory of storytelling) than the actual war.
And yeah, possibly the reason why no one could really connect with the war was because it actually had little meaning beyond the surface.
Naruto was already celebrated as future Hokage and got the acknowledgement he believed would make him happy. But it didn’t, not for long.
Sasuke killed both his brother (sorta) and Danzo. He had the perfect opportunity to demolish Konoha because he believed that would be the solution, but he didn’t. Because he realized he had to question the former Hokage and learn more to tackle the problem behind his suffering (the system) on a larger scale. (Revolution.)
These things by itself should tell you there is more to it, because had it been any other story, it would’ve been over. It’s the entire revelation that halts a story completely, but it went on didn’t it? The war only strengthened Sasuke’s resolve for his plan for revolution (we can talk about that in another post) and Naruto’s status as Hero is conflicting and can’t actually ever soothe his anger (in fact, you can see during the war that it became worse) which is why Kishimoto sorta lamely (I’m sorry) brushed the problems off during the Waterfall of Truth arc… by having Naruto believe in himself (which he already did) for arguably the wrong reasons. Although admirable and touching, it’s not very believable considering the rules Kishimoto set before.
So, their arcs continue and the characters have to keep growing. As Main-characters, it’s saying “you aren’t there yet, there’s something you have to discover still”. It isn’t “anyway, you still have a war to fight”, because the war isn’t an obstacle to their inner needs. It’s plot conflict mostly. When it comes to Naruto and Sasuke, Kishimoto masterfully used plot conflict between each other as an obstacle to represent how they feel. Naruto’s existence really is an obstacle to Sasuke’s goal, but you gotta wonder why exactly that is. Naruto couldn’t ever become Hokage if he couldn’t save a friend, but if that’s true, then Naruto failed long before that, so why is Sasuke so special, huh? Hehe.
On top of all that, overcoming these obstacles means they have to fight for it— emotionally and literally. And fight they do, which is why it is so emotional, because it’s both. The discovery lies in acceptance, something a character can’t go back from in a good story and it’s very prevalent during their conversation after VotE2 and Sasuke’s inner monologue at the end. They are each other’s answer to the Thematic questions the story posed in the beginning. These aren’t “can Naruto become Hokage?” Or “Will Sasuke decide to destroy Konoha?” Or “will our heroes be able to win the war?”, those are plot, not Theme and they don’t argue for a Universal truth nor does it repeat throughout the story constantly like their bond is. It's why Sasuke's "I've lost" has nothing to do with giving up the reason behind his goal, nor the physical fight they just had.
Together it creates a promise saying their understanding is the solution to the Narutoverse’s problem we unfortunately weren’t able to see in action because it jumped from that to delulu lala-land. But that didn’t make the former any less true.
Because if it wasn’t, then Kishimoto spent 72 volumes proving a message he never intended to prove which is ridiculous. As is saying that doing so is accidental (lmao).
And come on now, if their love for each other is the growth within their Character Arcs, the answer to the problems the Theme and Plot posed, both supported by Context and Subtext with some insane blatant Text on top, then I’m sold completely.
Ooohhh and don’t get me started on the insane amount of symbolisms and metaphoric elements and how Kishimoto used minor characters to support and deepen its meaning because I'll be typing forever... ><

1010 Malt Shop - Green Plushie
It's done. It's finally done. 1 week of blood, sweat, and tears (mostly blood), and he's done.
Tumblr media
But I don't have a good enough camera nor photography skills to really capture his true charm ;w;
(Boring self reflection + more pics under the cut)
Anyway, this is the project I've been working on lately. No particular thing really prompted this. Like most things I do, it was started on a whim and finished with will power. I don't really have much experience with plush making or sewing, so despite his obvious faults, I still think he turned out pretty nicely for an amateur.
As per usual, I didn't have enough foresight to document the process, but I can nonetheless talk about the experience and point out some details of it.
Firstly, he's a pretty large lad. Here he is compared to the official DJSS plush and one of the test prints I did of "Melon Float."

Counting his straw, he's about 16 inches tall. I wasn't counting on him being so big, so I don't really know what I'm gonna do with him now...
I say this took a week, but I probably could have quartered that time if I had a working sewing machine, but since I didn't, the majority of the time was spent just sewing the thing together. (Btw, pattern over here.) The only fabric details that weren't hand-sewn are the circle/stripe details on his pants and shoes, and the bow/buttons on his shirt, which were all glued on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The base pattern didn't come with any clothes, so I just adapted the body patterns into clothes. Structurally, he's basically wearing a second skin~ I did think about making the gloves for the sake of accuracy, but at that point, the only skin he'd be showing is his face, and I wanted to keep some soft parts out since his clothes are so stiff. They're so stiff, they can stand on their own and be stacked on top of each other without falling over.
Tumblr media
(The plush has a harder time standing than his clothes do...)
Speaking of the clothes, let me say right now that it bothers me more than anyone else that the paint details don't color-match his pants. I was so high on the euphoria of starting this project that when I was out getting supplies, I saw some glow-in-the-dark paint and thought it'd be a great idea since he's a robot and all. The color on the bottle looked close enough at the time, and the original plan was that only the face would be painted with the other details being felt, but on top of me forgetting that effects paint takes a long time to build up layers, the green also dried differently than I thought it would, so it threw everything off, but I didn't have the patience to suck it up and repaint everything with a better color match. I did try to add a light gradient with my pastels like in the original art work, but it turned out so light that it's barely perceivable and totally not worth the clamminess I get when I touch chalk.
Tumblr media
I think the most time-consuming part was his hair. While sewing the body together took 2 days, the clothes 2 days, and painting 1 day, the hair took about 3 as I had to figure out essentially how to do it myself on the fly. The first day was mostly trial and error. I did find a couple of online tutorials about how to get this loopy yarn hair, but the ones that I found both required tools that I didn't have. Eventually, I figured out a way to make it work, but I feel like it was less than efficient:
Basically, his hair is made with chunks of yarn that are tied together, and each chunk is individually sewn into place. I didn't count, but I think there are 13-14 hair chunks total to give him a full head. I do like how I made his bangs uneven to mimick how I draw his hair, but I couldn't quite pull off having his distinct hair-part and I couldn't figure out how to give the illusion of half his hair being straight without it looking weird. (I did try cutting the loops to let the strands be straight, but I didn't like the look of it, so I kept them all loopy).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is a weird thing to say out of context, but I'm especially proud of the back of his head. Originally I was just going to paint on his undercut (which I'm glad I didn't because this paint REALLY hardens the cotton), so I got the bright idea to sew on individual strands of yarn for it. I think the effect is great, but I would not wish it upon my worst enemy, because to get the effect, I had to sew on each. strand. individually. The day I made the face poll, and said that was going to be a break day? I wound up doing this instead, and it took just as long to sew in those 20+ strands of yarn as it did the rest of his hair.
To segway into that poll, as you can see, I went with option 2 with some slight edits. Just the white/green eyes looked a little plain to me, so I added my usual dark pupil and added a green-star glitter to the center. I'm the one that has to live with this thing for the foreseeable future, so I made some executive decisions. Unfortunately, there were a few errors while painting, which you can clearly see in the above pictures OTL. I did try to seal off my painting areas with tape, but it still bled and stained in a few places. I don't really know if it's possible to clean the stains without ruing the rest of the face, but if you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them.
There are a few extra details that I guess are worth pointing out: he's actually wired. I put in some armature wire so he'd be able to move his limbs despite the stiff felt but... I didn't secure them that well, and the wire for his arms got displaced, so I currently can't bend them ;3;. I'd have to open him up again to replace it, and I REALLY don't want to undress him again to get to his back. The worst thing about this plush is that his clothes are so stiff that he's actually very hard to dress.
The wire in his legs is mostly still in place, so he can at least (kinda) sit.
Tumblr media
I think the last thing worth talking about is the ice cream accessory. It was really simple to make (it's just air dry clay over foil + extra pieces), but it's cute, so I wanted to point it out~
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's a hair clip, so it can be taken on and off. Theoretically, it could be worn by a person, but it's a little heavy to be wearing it all day~ The camera/lighting really blew out the colors, but I think it turned out to be a nice creamy french vanilla color like I really wanted~
Other details like the glitter on his eyes/cheeks can't really be captured on my shitty ipod camera, but rest assured that he is pleasantly sparkling~
I think my biggest takeaway from this project has been materials: I thought that using felt would be a great alternative to having to buy an entire yard of fabric for a one time project, but besides the paint, it was the hardest material to work with. If I have to pick and choose, next time I think the body will be felt, and the clothes will be cotton, or maybe I'll actually invest in some fleece, so it can be soft all the way~ Since the clothes are removable, I could theoretically make him his default sailor suit and just replace the straw with his proper hair loop to convert this into a "canon" design plush, but we'll see what the future holds. I did get the felt colors to make my *other* babygirl, but given this experience, I may hold off on making him until a much later date.

💕 self-love time! talk about which ones of YOUR creations (edits, artworks, fanfics) you like the most then send to other creators to do the same 💕
Thank you for sending me this back! I usually don't talk about how much i love some of my edits. But it's their time to shine!
First of all i should say that this portrait of Debbie is currently a GEM among my edits. I love it so much with all of my heart. The hair, the makeup, the BLOUSE. And the colors! Lately i've been trying various color schemes to diverse my edits more and this one comes out very special to me.
Second favorite is Andrea's portrait. I was just testing tattoos on her and took this portrait almost randomly but i love the way she's looking. Her eyes are full of strenght. Her previous portraits wasn't my favorite for some reason (maybe because she wore much makeup)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These ones are pretty old (from 2021) but i still geniunely love them! Especially Naomi. The idea of recreating her was rather impulsive because i was binge watching The Expanse but she comes out insanely realistic to me! She is edited a lot, i know. But her whole face structure was fully made in game. I just added some little touches of highlighting and shading. This portrait was unusual to me since i usually don't take screenshots at the background with something (just blank color surface yk) and it was fun to edit, especially draw her hair! It was almost the first time i drawn curly hair.
Second one is my self-portrait! Still my favorite because of the hairstyle, i think. This is my favorite type. I dreamed about converting it since ages when i didn't have converting skills. Too bad it haven't had much attention when i uploaded hair :( Nvm, everything is calling out to me from the hair to the colors and neat editing in here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My favorite portraits from sci-fi series (which is no longer exist now) Rhea should've been betrayer of the squad and Paula had a role of a smart android on board. She was designed by Aaron and he took his deceased wife as a "face claim".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Still in love with these two portraits!
First one is my friend and classmate Oksana. When i showed her my creations, she asked me to recreate her in ts3. I already thought about that before she asked since she is really unique beauty! And she was also the one who supported my sims-hobby and adored my every picture. That was so cute of her. She liked the result by the way!
Second one is my "son" Freddie! I love him with all of my heart, he is just cute in this sweater even with his serious look in the eyes. This simple portrait was just for a preview picture for contacts, but it ended up being my favorite as self-dependent picture. They both came up pretty and realistic to me!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the last one closing my top of favorites is Francine. This picture has taken in far away 2018. It is named "autumn rhapsody" on my PC. Francine really means a lot to me as a character. I developed her very well, and i wish i could tell whole story about her someday. To me, Francine is bright and melancholic just like autumn. Her color scheme is also what reminds of autumn and the last rays of sunshine that lays down on the fallen leaves.
Tumblr media
In general i have a lot of favorite pictures of mine but they weren't posted for some reason (i'm lazy to edit them) so i hope we will see more in future!

Rebels Rewatch: “Breaking Ranks”
Ezra acquires some friends and Imperial disguise gear, let’s jump right in.
Tumblr media
This show is so pretty sometimes.
The Imperial Dome and the factories look almost like a blight on the scenery in this shot; they look like they’re constructed of completely different materials and they’re distinctly obvious even under the same light.  It’s really quite a lovely use of light/dark color balance.
And pan down for our introduction to the cadet training academy, which as you can see is a completely different building from the Imperial Dome, fandom.
*grumbles*
In distinct and clear contrast to bright homey colors of the Ghost, the Imperial facility is of course clinical, colorless, and sterile, yet another example of the Empire’s austere authoritarian aesthetic.
The only splash of color anywhere are the helmets of our four named cadets.  (And honestly most of that is probably just Doylistically so that we can tell who’s who when they’re moving around the obstacle course.)  Everyone else is faceless and indistinguishable.  Ezra’s sigil is a heroic red, marking him subtly in Rebel Alliance colors.  Oleg’s is duplicitous green (also symbolizing his apparent ambition and avarice), Jai’s is calm blue and Zare’s is clever/creative yellow.
Ngl, hearing Dante Basco’s voice always throws me, my brain hears Zuko and it is super distracting.
Love how Ezra can’t resist a chance to be cheeky lol.
Aresko and Grint making note of Ezra’s uncanny skill and marking him for suspicion AKA Example #45 of the Empire’s relentless persecution of Force Sensitives.  If you’re just a little bit too good at what you do you get pulled aside and assessed for midichlorians and Force potential.  In Legends EU they tested Wedge like five or six times because they refused to believe he was just that skilled lol.
Ahh the camaraderie of students stuck in a horrible school together. <3
Chopper’s Imperial paintjob is a bit more rudimentary and crude this first time.
Kanan having very understandable apprehensions about putting his barely-trained padawan in the midst of a bunch of Imperials.  Don’t think about the anxiety this poor man is having, recalling all his early years of hiding and suppressing and being on the run, looking out for enemies on every side and never knowing who he could trust, and now projecting all of that into his parental worry over Ezra. :)
Kallus barely paying attention to Cadet!Ezra lol.
There hasn’t been much to say about the music thus far, it’s all unique to these scenes, but there’s a bit here where Ezra’s infiltrating the office that’s reminiscent, in instrument choice note progression, of cues used during the Death Star bits in A New Hope.
So we’re agreed that the kyber crystal shipment that Kanan and Hera are trying to stop was 100% going towards the Death Star, right?
Early fandom was pretty certain that the “five year plan” later mentioned this season was leading up to a Death Star reveal and, to be fair, a lot of kyber and doonium they were mining from Lothal was being used in the Death Star project, but no one actually guessed that the Empire’s interest in Lothal was a tad more personal and unique.  (Thrawn’s pet TIE Defenders and the World Between Worlds.)
Kind of a shame they relegated the continuation/conclusion to Dhara’s story to tie-in materials, it would have made a good plot arc in the show proper, especially given that the Force Sensitive children in Season Two were likely being kidnapped for the same endgoal: Project Harvester, one of Palpatine’s many efforts to subdue and control and “manage” free-range Children of the Force.
It was one of the tasks he gave the Inquisitorius, focusing more on capturing and recruiting new baby Force Sensitives rather than hunting down Order 66 survivors.  It’s quite possible that children captured under Project Harvester eventually get drafted into the Inquisitorius but it’s also hinted that they’re experimented on or meant to become some kind of telepathic spy network for Palpatine.
In any case, not a pleasant outcome.
Tumblr media
*ALLY ACQUIRED*
Ezra probably wasn’t a stranger to having to backstab “friends” as a street orphan but he’s definitely not enjoying it.
The ruthless hyper-competitive Social Darwinism of the Empire evident in how Aresko encourages the backstabbing here.
Zare playing the part of confused low-level peon that no one tells anything perfectly here, lol.
And Ezra’s trusting enough that he openly uses the Force in front of him.
Zare’s little astonished double-take with his eyes ha ha.
I don’t think they ever confirmed whether or not Jai was actually Force Sensitive, or just talented enough to trip suspicion.  Either way, still probably a good thing Ezra decided to stay to extract him.
(It’s six episodes in and Ezra’s selfless Jedi instincts are already growing, aaaah character development!)
Tumblr media
Sabine totally digs Ezra’s hero complex.
Another small note about Ezra’s character development: He now has confidence that they’ll come back for him. :)
Kanan having a small freakout when he hears Ezra didn’t get extracted. <333
Am I the only one who headcanons that Jai’s mom had him a little young?  I dunno, I just kinda get Impoverished Single Mother vibes, maybe that’s why Jai was eager to rank up, even when he heard about the Inquisitor.
Ahhhh one of the classic themes at last!
Ezra jumping in to take the stun shot for Jai, making up for knocking him off last time. :)
The separate sequences are tightly intercut here, great editing work.
Lol the boys sound a little bit shrill here.
The kyber explosion is beautiful.
For the sharp-eyed, the Phantom can dock both forward and backwards.  Kanan parks it nose in into the socket this time.
Rebel Alliance fanfare right here.  And Ezra’s theme once we cut back to him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
SHUT UP AND LET ME HAVE THIS, IT’S CUTE.
Lol Zeb pulling up the speeder and filling it up with kids like it’s a mom van.
Grand looking piiiiiiiiised ha ha.
The warm lighting in this last scene here is lovely, underscores the heartwarming little moment here between Kanan and Ezra nicely.
So the best part of this episode is definitely the fact that we’re already seeing character growth for Ezra, and to a lesser extent Kanan.  Aresko and Grint get a couple humanizing moments that make their eventual offing even more shocking, we befriend a couple allies that come into play later, get glimpses of how the Empire propagandizes their youth, and the first hints of the Empire’s nefarious behind the scenes machinations start bubbling towards the surface.
A solid episode, if relatively low-stakes.  I don’t think I ever quite worried that Ezra would be caught this round (unlike the absolute stressfest that was “An Inside Man” and “Through Imperial Eyes”) but it was still engaging to watch him infiltrate enemy territory and pull a few friends out with him.
It’s the girls’ turn tomorrow. :)

Working on Magical Friends: Doki’s animation “pipeline”
…Since this is still an incredibly basic 1.5-man operation, it’s not much of a pipeline. ^^; But I wanted to put together a little thing to show the public how I do what I do, and if this sounds doable or interesting to you, I’m always on the lookout for more volunteers! [email protected] is my official ‘art business’ email, just FYI~
So let’s start by taking a look at this GIF preview of a finished scene:
Tumblr media
I chose this sequence because it’s probably the longest and most complex one I’ve done so far. The character rotates, the scene pans up, I got some spinny light effects in there, lots of weird stuff I’ve never done before. (●u●;;) But it came out alright in the end, so let’s examine it.
So before I start thinking about animating, I refer to the work of my storyboard volunteer, Greytan. They actually gave me just one simple shot:
Tumblr media
Which I extrapolated into…what I did. ^^; I don’t mean to ‘ignore’ their boards, and I hope they don’t feel slighted when I do things like this, it’s just that they are genuinely a much more skilled and more professional animator than I am, and our brains just don’t work the same way so sometimes I have to diverge a bit. :P Or, y’know, sometimes I come up with a great idea of my own that I really wanna try, which is probably what happened here.
Anyway, my first step after looking at boards is to grab a pencil and paper and draw the shot: a picture that lays out what the scene will look like, with either the starting frame or a key frame, and the background included. As you can see, I doodled some of my ideas for how the sequence would progress, which is good, because after drawing this I wouldn’t return to this shot for like 6 weeks. ^^;
Tumblr media
When I finally did get back to it, I grabbed a second piece of paper for Step 2, which is the actual ‘animation’: using the shot as a base to draw the rest of the frames that will go into the sequence. This is where my lightbox comes in handy, although usually I can see through the paper well enough to just draw wherever. ^^ [Fun fact: in my early days, I would just scan the original shot, erase it, and replace it with the next frame, drawing each new frame on the exact same piece of paper. I am…very glad I don’t do this anymore]
Now, animation is mostly guesswork for me. ^^ I mean, my guesses are pretty good, but they’re still guesses, which is why I call myself an amateur. It’s not me downplaying my skills, it’s just me admitting that they aren’t based on solid expertise or experience (yet).
When I animate a shot, I try to make sure each frame looks like it has movement in it all by itself. Gesture drawing, dynamic posing; those are things I’m already good at, so when I animate I make ‘em work hard for me. >:3c
The end result comes out looking kind of like a sprite sheet:
Tumblr media
And I do use these drawings kind of like assets; Step 3 is to scan them (along with the initial shot) and use them to ‘construct’ the frames that go into the video editor. This is the step that takes the longest, where I clean up the sketches and color them and paint the backgrounds (separately, if necessary). It’s not as difficult as Steps 1 and 2, but it’s a lot more tedious.
So naturally, sometimes I like to make sure my sprites actually work before I start all that…work. ^^ So I throw together a test animation based on what I have:
Tumblr media
And this did help-- it assured me that the first half with Mago would probably look fine, although the second half with the magic light-thing probably needed to have a cleaner sense of direction and more frantic movement as it ascended. When you’re working with a low frame-rate, you generally want things to move a LOT or hardly at all; you don’t want any of that in-between stuff. So I took that into account when preparing the “finished” product. I put “finished” in quotes because I’ll probably adjust the timing of the frames a little when I move to the video editor (Step 4, which I’m not going to talk about here). But yeah, that’s pretty much it. ^^
Generally when I think about adding artists to the team, I’m thinking about them doing Step 1, Step 2, Steps 1 and 2, or Steps 1-3 (so basically, completing a full sequence of frames that I can just add in). For me to hand sketches to someone and expect them to do Step 3 alone would require a level of trust that I’ve never had in any fellow artist before…but idk, anything can happen in the future. ^^;

What if chapeau taught Adam to play violin?
OMG I actually had a headcanon that Adam was just bad at playing the violin, explored a little in this fic. This'll be really cute.
-------------------------------------------
Shifting
"Non--non, your highness, please, you hold it with your chin."
"I can't." Adam struggles to keep his frustration at bay. "I can hold it with my hands just fine."
"Oui, that is how we teach children," the tutor sighs. "They have no strength to hold something with anything but their hands. You, however, are no mere child--you have the strength to prove it."
But what difference does it make? he thinks mutinously. I held it that way during my last performance, and no one could tell the difference! It hurts when I try anyway.
Out loud, he only asks "But why is that important? I still don't understand."
The tutor's nearing his limit, Adam can tell. But he only shakes his head, the curls on his wig sagging over his forehead. "If you were to shift positions, or something shakes your concentration--"
Now Adam wants to throw the thing at the tutor's face. What sort of game is he playing, throwing out vague answers like that? Shifting positions sounds like something an idiot would do--who'd adjust his stance in the middle of a performance? Not Adam, he wouldn't. Unless something did shake his concentration, he supposes, but that wouldn't be his fault, it would be some ignoramus in the audience--
"Deep breaths, my dear, deep breaths."
His mother's voice drifts across Adam's mind like smoke, extinguishing his initial vitriol. It was true that he got riled up over certain things, especially things he didn't understand. They scared him.
But he never wanted to learn the violin! He can play fortepiano just fine, but his father insisted that an extra instrument would show how intelligent Adam was. He sent Cogsworth off to discuss it with his mother, and she eventually agreed. It still isn't fair; he is much more comfortable with the fortepiano. It's so much easier to see where the notes will spring. He overheard other nobles talking at a ball once about a marvel in Italy: a man who can place his hands on a harpsichord and play something off the top of his head. That's something Adam can understand--no way is he skilled enough, but it's easier to draw music from both hands in unison. And here, Adam wants his hands to do the same thing still. But that isn't how it works.
Deep breaths.
Just this lesson. He mustn't make a fuss, he must get through this lesson. His mother is waiting in the next room, and his father would hear of it sooner rather than later if he complained.
Not that Adam minds, but his father is not one for testing. Though it has been a while, Adam could recall his father's deep voice around him, something so strict that it leeched color from the sun.
Deep breaths.
It works, and Adam nods solemnly at his tutor, who looks less than the sum of his parts at this point. But he gestures again, and the prince raises his violin to his shoulder, resting his chin against the edge.
I won't hold it there, he rebels silently. Shifting my feet. Of all the stupid excuses.
The time slows to a crawl, with the tutor correcting Adam every other row: your fingers are too sticky, your vibrato isn't clean enough, the chin, my prince, hold it fast--
Then the clock strikes four, Adam's shoulders sag in relief, and the tutor is barely able to assign work to practice before he heads for the door, footsteps echoing across the stone.
No faith in me, Adam sulks. That much is obvious.
The door swings closed, but not before Adam hears the tutor's sharp "Non merci!" and a clatter of china.
What was that?
The young prince approaches the door to see one of the footmen at the door, clad in black, holding a tea set that is definitely the source of the clatter. Some sugar had spilled, but everything else looked intact. The tutor bumped into him, it seemed, and did not apologize.
Rude, his mother would say. She'd seek to make things right.
"I would like some tea," Adam says shortly. "Thank you for offering."
The footman nods and hands Adam a cup on a saucer, which he takes with a nod in return.
"I'm sorry he did that. I'm kind of hopeless at this." The words slip out before he can reel them in. His father never liked him admitting weakness, even in front of their staff.
But the footman only offers him what sugar is left in the bowl, and Adam accepts a heaping spoonful.
"Thank you," Adam murmurs, and the footman merely smiles, bows, and turns to leave.
But it's in those few seconds that the prince realizes he's seen this particular servant before. Black waistcoat, usually seen attending to Cogsworth, or sending messages to Mrs. Potts. Helping Lumiere with dinner service if they were short-handed, providing fresh sheets to the maids. Never spoke. Chapeau--that was his name. Adam didn't see him as much as the others--newer, most likely.
He's quick, too; gone in seconds. Adam sips his tea and heads towards the dining room.
 ◦🝰◦🝰◦🝰◦
A violin wakes Adam that night.
He blinks away the dream of a midnight ball, surprised when the music doesn't fade with the images. Moonlight streams through his open window, and his empty room shines with it, silver and gold designs gleaming white with the moon's eerie, ethereal light.
But the violin doesn't stop. It's a slow, melancholy tune that climbs and descends like a stream over stones. Adam almost wonders if he's woken to glimpse a faerie dance of sorts, so taken is he by the magic of the moonlight. Slowly, he rises from his bed to fetch his robe and slippers.
Chapeau stands, illuminated by a window in the hallway, and Adam nearly mistakes him for a ghost; he blends in so with the blues and greys of the night-lit castle.
Under his chin is the source of the music: a rich, brown-colored violin several sizes larger than his own, and a bow that moves along the strings with such care that Adam barely notices when he pulls it up and down.
Adam opens his mouth to say a number of things, from "why are you here" to "you scared me half to death" but whatever it is dies the moment Chapeau meets eyes with him. Instead, the footman dips his head and turns to walk away. Adam follows.
Chapeau leads him through various hallways, portraits shadowed and faceless in the night, and when the castle opens up, the violin fills the space. Several times Adam wants to ask where they're going, but he can't move his mouth; so transfixed is he.
As a prince, he was never instructed to watch after his staff--in fact, it was the other way around--but Adam watches as a moth does to flame. Chapeau's fingers climb up and down the neck of the instrument effortlessly, and there are moments when his hand shakes without troubling the instrument at all.
The violin doesn't shake, but the note does. How is that possible?
Chapeau plays one final note before gently lifting his bow from the string, and though the sound fades away to nothing, Adam can swear he still hears it ringing.
And it's as if a spell has been broken; Adam blinks and takes a few breaths before realizing they've traveled to the music room.
"H...how did you...?" There is nothing to interrupt, but Adam can still only manage a breathy whisper.
Chapeau says nothing, only waits for Adam to finish, letting both hands fall to his sides.
"The way you...the way you climbed up the strings like that," he stutters. "What is that?"
The footman smiles. "Shifting."
Something inside Adam deflates; his shoulders slump as he lets out the breath he doesn't realize he was holding. "Oh..."
Following that comes the overwhelming urge to bury his head in his hands, but Chapeau's gesturing to the prince's own little case with his bow. Adam's eyes widen.
"No--no, I can't, I--"
But something in Chapeau's stance makes Adam unclasp the case anyway, and it takes him a few moments to figure out what it is: the violin hasn't fallen from his shoulder.
"How are you doing that?"
The footman laughs and removes the instrument, before putting it back. Adam notices it this time: with a slight head tilt, Chapeau's using his jaw to hold the violin there. Adam hastens to mimic him, bringing his own violin to his shoulder.
Oh, thank God, it's much more comfortable. Adam still has to tense his shoulder a little, but once he hesitantly lets his hand fall, the violin stays where it is.
Chapeau moves to him, taking his hand and placing it on the violin's neck. He guides the prince's hands forward, and then back, and Adam practices the action a few times before he nods.
Bow in hand, Chapeau plays a quick scale, shifting to complete it on only two strings instead of three. Adam tries to mimic him.
They converse like that for a while, letting the music breathe, until Adam realizes he's gotten the hang of shifting. Then Chapeau adds that shaking into each note--"Vibrato," he defines it--and encourages him to use his forearm, not just his wrist. This clicks immediately, and they can both tell.
They incorporate it into the scales, and when Adam struggles with the bow movements, Chapeau sits him in front of his fortepiano and encourages him to play with his left hand only. Soon after, the prince can mime the bow movements by himself.
Back to the violin, and it works. Adam moves the bow in time with his fingers, following the sheet music, and the piece that the tutor bade he practice starts to sound like something.
Adam's just working around the chords near the end before Chapeau pulls out a pocket-watch to check the time, and from his expression, Adam knows he's been awake too long. Chapeau ushers him to put his violin away, and Adam obliges, but...
"But could you play the piece for me?" he asks. "Just so I know how it's supposed to sound."
Chapeau looks the sheet music over once before adjusting the stand to fit his height.
Though the sheet music says to start loud, Chapeau plays the first few notes in a hushed quiet, building slowly to the appropriate dynamic with light, flighty bow movements.
Adam closes his eyes this time, trying to remember different finger placements for the chords, the one time he'd shift placements, the switch in key. But it's hard, so hard not to drift back to that strange, ethereal world, only accessible though a violin in the small hours after midnight.
He must notice, because the music slows into silence against the written instructions, and he guides Adam back to his bedroom, tucks him in, and disappears. The moon's moved past the windows now, nestling behind wisps of leftover cloud. Nothing else in the sky.
The spell's broken now, Adam thinks. His final conscious thought before dawn.

🎨 - link your favourite piece of fanart and explain why you like it
Ohhh man this is so tough. There's such a plethora of talented artists in the fandom. This might be a copout answer, but genuinely anybody who's been kind enough to make fanart of something I've written. It never ceases to be the highest compliment ever. The ones I've gotten for Hockey AU, Star!Bojan, Good Omens AU and even the Monsterfucker one are all so so so dear in my heart because it means that something I did inspired someone else, and it's this beautiful feedback loop of art and creating.
🌿 - give some advice on writer's block and low creativity
So I wanted to sit on this one for a minute today and not just give a ramble, as I'm prone to do. Writer's block and low creativity happen to nearly every artist across the board and anybody who says different is a liar. So, trying as best as I can, here are my top tips for writer's block and low creativity.
1. Read books: This is probably my biggest piece of advice. I think of this like putting fuel in the tank. You can't go for a run if you're not eating properly, and writing is the same way. Sure, you can read fanfiction, you can watch movies/tv, you can look at art. All of these are fine and great, but nothing gets the brain going the same way as when you read a published, edited book. Exploring genres and styles you don't typically go for can bring about a lot of inspiration and help you:
a) Feel reassured about your own writing habits and -isms when you see that skilled authors also have repeat phrases they like or certain quirks.
b) Find new things to test out in your own toolbox.
When you engage with literature, like really slow down and read and study what an author is doing, you're learning so so so much just through that simple act. It can also bring about great ideas too, which is why I suggest a balance of both fiction and non-fiction.
2. Find what works for you: This is a bit vague, but let me explain. Some writers thrive under consistency while others need variety. Some, like myself, need both. I know I consistently need a somewhat quiet environment where I can feel alone, but staring at a wall all day can get dull. Sometimes switching the font up on your document can help. Or changing the background color. Putting on new music. Sitting somewhere new. It's adapting to your mood that day and working with it.
3. Write even when you don't feel like it: We all have off days. A really common obstacle for people who go to the gym is that you go through periods where you LOVE going, but then you have periods where you absolutely loathe it. Writing is like that. The brain is a muscle and creativity is the skill you're honing. Some days you'll have a great workout, others you'll have a shit one. That's fine!
It doesn't mean you're shit. What matters is that you're showing up and staying consistent. When I'm having a 'shit' writing day, I say, "Okay, just write one sentence." Usually that turns into a handful, sometimes if I'm lucky it turns into a paragraph. But that's all I'll do for the day because, hey, we're not gonna churn out 2k+ words everyday. That would be insane. Sometimes 200 is plenty.
4. Let go of perfection: This one is tough... I know. But practicing the ability to turn off the little critic in our heads is sooooo important. It comes easier to some than others, but it's still a skill you can work on. It's kinda linked with what I wrote above, but sometimes you can just write like shit and that's fine. Chances are it's not as bad as you think it is, but powering through and getting something down on the page is better than nothing, even if it's just a garbled half-formed idea. You can always come back and fill things in later!
I hope some of this made sense! I'm always happy to chat craft with people :) It can be very subjective, but I do believe in the old adage regarding art that once you know the rules, you can break them.

my toxic trait is looking at your art and thinking that i could do that too. everytime i try drawing Transformers it ends up lookin like a pile of metal that got ran over by two semi trucks blasted to cybertron and back then got the shit beaten out of it by Optimus Prime himself 😭
but fr though, how do you do it? like what kinds of shapes are they made of? how do all their weird alien metal parts move?
what may work for my style might not for you, as i've unfortunately learned through my years of yearning for/trying out another artist's skill, and that's okay. but i am very honored to be that kind of artist to you 💗 beating yourself up for not being like me won't help you, though 🥹 your art is great, regardless of if it looks like mine or not. i'm going on 7 years of doing this after all! (also i started with bayverse of all things 😵)
and honestly, a lot of it is just experimenting and finding what's right for you, what you need to improve/improvise on, and what you want out of your art. for me, i found that i have a very difficult time actually getting that sharp, blocky industrial style of robots down and eventually opted for a more organic, squishier look. but i do maintain their proportions as they're wildly different from a human's ghsdfsjs
you're already off to a great start doing exactly what i did to learn: redrawing screenshots from the shows. i learned most of what i know from tfp, with a lot of bayverse and g1 mixed in there. it took me about two years of that before i felt confident enough to start making original art consistently. it takes time (and tbf, i was still learning how to art in general when i started. so you really are off to a great start)
this is the kind of art i made in 2017:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
massively different from my art now, right? through all these screenshots, i'd test out new ways to draw and color. at one point, every piece i made was trying something new. and it was okay if it didn't work out. means i know what not to do next time lol generally though, i'd NEVER do lineart. i mostly focused on building up my sketching and coloring skills, as seen here in my 2018 art:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and that kind of fucked me over for life so now i am left with painting over the sketch 😂 i digress though
in all honesty i've spent my entire art career figuring out how the fuck all their weird alien metal parts move 💀 a lot of it is BSing, some is recycling the same poses to make things easier on yourself and the rest is studying studying studying. cannot tell you the amount of times i've rewatched certain bayverse scenes frame by frame to figure out how all their parts move in tandem — i still don't know! 😅 g1 was a nightmare to figure out because of its blocky simplicity and limited range of motion. it's still a struggle to this day haha
it's really difficult how to explain how exactly i draw transformers, as it's just... something i do nowadays. there's not a ridiculous amount of thought put into it since i've built up my skill. but here's generally how i sketch their bodies and what shapes i use:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the first is slightly different as its a more detailed approach than g1 so just imagine the arms are a little rounder — "marshmallow," as my brother would call it — like the sketches in the second (even if those are a little more advanced in the process than the first)
my best advice to you is to learn their proportions and articulation via redrawing screenshots — various ones! i chose the most dynamic poses for my megatron practices in 2018 to nail it in my head lol but yes shows like tfp and earthspark are great for that (you could probably even do with looking at the storyboard animations for earthspark to help!)
and remember, i'm still learning too! i'm not gonna pretend like i know what i'm doing. but i'm glad i inspire you :)

Day 71: Monday March 11, 2024 - "This was 32 months"
32 months was a memorable one - put a pin in it. It was a stand out mile marker. The one where the tantrums hit, and we soaked it all up with humor and skill. Personally, Id been ready and wondering when it would hit - all that work Ive been doing so hard on myself is work I was doing, I know now, for 32 months. Ready to be mindful intentional skillful. Ready to be free of fear and full of joy. And William provided a lot of joy. I likened it to running the rapids, which once I figured out how, began to sharpen and enjoy the skill of running right to the edge, but preventing the meltdown, in a healthy productive way. And taking every opportunity to practice and show repair. Finally, we're here and we were ready and making a big positive impact on William's future. He developed hard this month, and we loved bearing witness to it! And we were so blessed to have backup most of this month from Grandma, visiting from cold wintery Michigan. Some of the most eventful tantrums she got to witness included meltdowns over not getting his third popsicle or wanting to climb in and out of the car seat on his own. There is also the one where I caught him trying to climb into the freezer to find Ice Cream. In full disclosure - Id probably meltdown if you interrupted my perfect plan too. All perfectly reasonable explorations of the boundaries of his horizon. Totally fine with him testing and challenging. I can hold space for that. I can be his sturdy leadership.
Not only was 32 months the tantrums era, this was also William's Beyonce Era. Not sure who first put Beyonce in his brain - but fairly certain we can blame my Mom for throwing Crazy in Love on Youtube into his little 32 month brain, after sitting on the toilet looking at the A is Awesome book. B was you know who. If he falls hopelessly in love with curvy mocha colored goddess, we'll know perfectly well where it came from. At 32 months you flipped from Elmo and Abby, to Beyonce.
A lot of great weather this month and we spent a lot of time reading springtime books - Mama has been keeping us fully supplied with new seasonal books and as we flip into the 33rd month we're reading a lot of St Pats books. He's been mostly accident free, and fully potty trained and multiple times while we were out at the Donut Shop or the Taco Shop, he'd pop a squat right in the parking lot. Once, at Pacos, to get Flan, he sat feet off Speedway and watched all the cars whiz by, while whizzing in the back of Mama's car. So memorable.
These are fun times. Riding and running the rapids and I just tell myself to be present, keep showing up, and dont miss a thing. Its a wild time, but such an important time to test your skill. I really feel like we're setting a positive foundation for the next several years. I keep pouring it all in, and we'll see where it goes in the 33rd month!

Another Object Comic Blog 2
Back at it again with another name change! This one’s probably the last one for a bit though.
A good amount of progress has been made on the idea of the comic since my last post in March. That is, I hunkered down with some buds and actually made a kind of rigid outline of how I want the plot to be structured. A good amount of ideas were leftovers from Exclusion Delusion but more fleshed out with a cleaner idea for a possible ending in mind, which makes me happy! Every time I’ve taken a stab at a comic like this I usually drop the idea because I don’t know how I’d end it, so having that in mind has been reassuring.
Tumblr media
Here’s a mostly redacted look at the outline of the story, mostly for the sake of keeping things a surprise! Who doesn’t like a good surprise? I will leave a synopsis of the beginning of the story though, so here! Objects of many different locations live on a planet with only them and are all aware of/ friends with each other. Ornament is the main character of the story, who on their (TBD)th birthday travel around the world in search of artifacts warning of an impending doom. After a year, the end of the world takes the form of a competition in which each challenge takes place on a different planet.
Tumblr media
Unlike the plot, the biggest point of contention has been the actual characters to appear in the comic! Truth is, there’s been dozens of characters that have had the possibility of appearing in the comic. Some as main characters, and others as more comic relief side characters. Sizing down the original fifty plus characters has been no easy task, and I’ve joined a bunch of calls with some buds trying to decide which characters should stay or go has been a struggle. I’ll probably come to this decision on my own since these are my characters and only my most cherished of children will make it in..
The spreadsheet above was originally where I listed out all of my ocs and we went through them all and talked about how which characters could act and little quirks they could have. I’d be a liar if I said it didn’t help give me an idea on the characters I FOR SURE wanted in.
Tumblr media
Ornament’s a character I’ve wanted in the comic since day one, they’re GUARUNTEED to be a main character. I used them in this enviornment as a test of how I’d draw backgrounds in the comic.
Tumblr media
As another small experiment, I tried to go back to my last comic Sunburn and redraw it with the skills I have now in a style I might’ve liked back then, I’m pretty happy with how it came out!
Below is another character with a similar style. She’s also guaranteed for the comic, her name’s Inkwell!
Tumblr media
More onto the look of the comic...
I’ve also been messing around with a potential style for the comic. It’s another one of those things that I’ve been putting a lot of thought into, but at the end of the day I think I have a good idea for what I want to do.
My biggest inspirations for this comic have always been my favorite object shows (ONE, Battle for Dream Island Again) and their saturated colors and simple designs, and Homestuck and the many many MSPFAS out there (Vast Error, A Guy Gets Revenge). Drawing objects in this style consistently has been a bit of a struggle, but I’ve found myself gravitating towards big and round hands, and tiny lil’ feet.
I don’t know if I’ll lean as heavy with the gradients and blurs though, since they’ve given me mixed results. I think I like the look of them when minimally used so I’ll probably stick to that.
Another art related thing I heavily debated on using was sprites. At first, I wanted to completely opt out of using any sprites for the sake of simplicity, but with the help of some really nice people I not only re-sprited old characters, but decided that I might go with this sprite style for the new characters. They’re so silly that it’s been hard for me to say no!
Tumblr media
Another thing I want to note before ending this post is that just like all of my other comics, I do not mean for this to be the job of a crew where I’m only a writer.
This is my comic, and something I’ve wanted to make. Chances are that just like Sunburn, I’ll be writing a large part of the comic and drawing a large chunk of the panels. I wanna carry the weight of this because its my story!!! With that being said, anyone’s welcome to help! If you’re interested, feel free to DM me on Discord @sundSlime#2003.
TLDR?
Progress on the comic has been underway, but there’s a lot of stuff left to iron out. Hope you guys like what I have so far! Have a good day :)

Dr. Stone S3 Episode 1: New World Map
Tumblr media
Looks like science is back on the menu boys! Dr. Stone returns with its third season (which is 2 cours once more!), with the goal of creating a ship to cross the ocean. An ambitious goal considering the technology of their time, but one that come Heaven or Hell Senku will complete. Though every dream that aims for the stars starts with a humble beginning, this one starting with a search for oil and the beginnings of agriculture.
It's been a while since I've really watched or paid attention to Dr. Stone stuff, so I've been reminded of how enjoyable the art and designs are for this series. They're incredibly tight and creative, and plenty vibrant without being overly contrasty or excessive in terms of color design. It's a really great balance that puts the focus on stranding out, and being strong.
And one last thing before I get into it, the direction for Dr. Stone has never really stood out to me. It's one of those things that just focuses on not getting in the way of the story and its characters. It leans perfectly into the comedy and excessive nature, but doesn't attempt to try and put a spin on things or really do anything crazy with it. Not exactly bog standard, but not something that you point out and talk about.
So with that in mind, I'm jumping right into science!
Tumblr media
I thought this blueprint was rather fun, not really accurate in any way, but something and interesting to younger audiences for sure. The cross section is a solid idea for showing how it's supposed to look, and there's even measurements just poking their head out from the bottom of the image. But ultimately, it's slightly more than a glorified drawing of a cross section of a ship.
Now, two little tidbits here, not really important but just stuff I found fun. The first is Yuzuriha being put to work, considering her sewing skill it makes sense, but if it weren't clear to others she's the one that's putting together the sails for the ship which was a fun little background detail to add. Similarly, Kinro and Ginro are working together to plane the various logs into workable lumber. They weren't using it, but was fun to see them show off a planer (and helps remind you of the level of technology available to Team Science).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, I'm not 100% certain on what sort of tool Ukyou is using here. My immediate thought was a sextant, but that's used for celestial navigation and they're in the daytime and are surveying land. So, due to lack of knowledge I'm chalking it up to "funky telescope for charting topography".
Tumblr media
So, maybe not science, but I really enjoyed this piece as a bit of logic behind the crew's search in the skies. Rysui points out the existence of a herd of wild animals. Now, for a herd to support itself, there must be sufficient food in the area, which Team Science also happens to be after. Sort of a two birds with one stone moment that works out quite well for them as they stumble upon wheat, of all things.
Tumblr media
So, on the topic of wheat, I was kind of sad that they didn't explain this little piece here. It's a fun and interesting little thing that helps with an overall mundane task. Threshing is the stage where you separate the stalk/straw that holds all the wheat together, and the more traditional way to separate the two is, essentially, to smack it against something. Because of that, seeing it done in a much more refined and controlled manner was interesting, so I was kind of disappointed they didn't add any dialogue to the scene.
Tumblr media
And the last real science-y thing of the episode was a litmus test. A really fun and simple example of the importance of stuff that you might have thought random when in high school. Litmus paper (and acid-base testing in general), is applied in all manner of facets of modern human life. Seeing it as such a simple yet important example was really fun and inspiring, and a cool way to casually teach people about the challenges of agriculture.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of course, Dr. Stone isn't purely about scientific advancement, so they throw in some sentimental moments as well. In the smaller dosages that we see them in, they serve the story perfectly to allow for the characters to develop, and to help frame the importance and magnitude of the advancements that color human history.
Though you'd be kidding yourself if comedy didn't reign supreme after science. The sort of chibi style that appears just helps accentuate the ridiculous nature of the comedy, while separating it comfortably from the more scientific or sincere sides. It's basically a textbook approach that's executed incredibly well.
Tumblr media
And lastly, Minecraft is in an anime. Yeah. Weird, yet awesome decision to have some of the exposition scenes appear as something styled after Minecraft, given the similarities. Great fun, and a cheap and easy solution to those moments, which can allow them to put more focus elsewhere.

Chapter 2: Halloween Celebration
Narrated by Aeon.
Narrator: With Halloween just a few days away, Shadowflow bustles with people dressed in Halloween costumes and newly opened shops.
Narrator: We see a few shops with adorable Halloween stickers on their doors. Then, a few pigeons fly past us and land on the roof of a tavern across the street.
Narrator: Witches, ghosts, vampires... we see people dressed up in all sorts of different costumes in the Halloween parade coming through. One of the werewolves even bows elegantly at Marina.
Marina: Wow, the werewolf is looking this way!
Narrator: Marina can't seem to take her eyes off of the parade. Then, the costume shop and sweets stand next to the parade catch her attention.
Marina: I wonder where people got their witch hats and lollipops?
Narrator: Marina's eyes are screaming envy, and it doesn't seem like it's going to go away without some proper shopping.
Narrator: When we're finished, Marina comes out of the shop with a witch hat on her head and a colorful lollipop in hand, like the rest of the kids on the street.
Marina: Look over there. What are those people doing?
Aeon: Don't just run away, Marina.
Narrator: Marina is obviously having too much fun to recall what we came here to do. Spending Halloween here with her in Miraland, however, is a new experience in and of itself.
Narrator: The shops on the street all have an adorable jack-o'-lantern sitting on their porches, and some of them even have spooky signs hanging up high. Marina is getting all worked up.
Marina: Aeon, look! It looks like a haunted house!
Narrator: I look at the line-up with no end in sight, and then at Marina, who is super excited now. Knowing that there can be no escaping this, I head over to the line-up with Marina in tow.
Staff: Hey guys, come check out our new murder mystery game! Now you can play with a limited-time bonus!
Narrator: A staff member comes up to us with a flyer before we even get to the line-up. It's the same black-and-red flyer like the one from before.
Narrator: A mansion in the moonlight with words written in blood across its windows... this flyer reminds me of the movie poster Marina showed me before. Bats hanging upside down on the flyer add a spooky air to it.
Staff: Our special prize for the winner this year is a free one-year murder mystery game pass!
Narrator: One of the staff members hands me a poster and puts an adorable ghost badge in Marina's hand.
Marina: A murder mystery game?
Narrator: Marina stops walking and pulls at me. I can't be sure if she's doing it because of the cute ghost badge or the free admission tickets.
Marina: Nikki told me about this before. It's a lot of fun!
Narrator: Marina's eyes are brimming with excitement. I touch her head gently as I take the flyer.
Aeon: We're visitors, and we're new to Shadowflow. Could you tell us a bit about this haunted house?
Narrator: The staff member, however, smiles knowingly and points at the Secret Chamber's logo on that flyer.
Staff: We can't really tell you much. All I can say is that it tests you on your reasoning and puzzle-solving skills.
Staff: And we just refurbished our Secret Chamber to spice everything up in it, and I'm sure you'll love it. Want to give it a go?
Narrator: Marina jumps up and nods her head excitedly as she hears "reasoning" and "puzzle-solving skills."
Marina: We're signing up! You can't find anyone better at puzzle-solving than my brother!

@rizavi-m @cherryjkj @twisted-clovers I’m slandering-
Tumblr media
T*ey is a lot of things for me, and totally not my OBVIOUS hate to him, y-yeah I totally don't like him- d-don't look at me like that...
T*ey is regarded as a "boring" character in the TWST fandom to say the least, and it isn't very hard to see why.
He's just that "malewife material" and he's a "normal man who does normal man things", which isn't wrong, but I just want to peel as many layers of him as possible (which I miraculously can and not because I'm all for him, like- what- ahahahha- t-that's weird-) and say that's he's very weird, in a good way (well, that's debatable-).
He's someone who's quite sketchy to be honest, especially how much he wants to prove to everyone that he is "normal". I mean, a lot of his lines in game shows that he would like to be seen as neutral from how he doesn't want you to get too carried away on his birthday, how he's average in all of his classes, and yet in his Uniform Card Personal Story, he's shown to be exceptionally good in his Flying Skills that even Vargas marked him with flying colors. I'm not sure about his other subjects as of now, but this definitely shows that he's NOT average in anything.
I think we never really ask why he wants to remain as such. Maybe it's similar to Kalim and Jamil's relationship, but with T*ey and Riddle as he doesn't want to be seen as "superior" to Riddle because he's just a Vice Dorm Leader, and much rather have Riddle have all the attention as Dorm Leader, or maybe it's because he knows that Riddle's ego might be crushed as we see when Riddle was shocked to find out that T*ey's Unique Magic had completely overwrites his, and ultimately questions his own powers compared to T*ey's, and he doesn't want his friend to feel that, I don't know.
T*ey is also, from what I see, to be someone who's a naturally good liar. I mean, literally everyone fell for his oyster sauce joke, including honor student Riddle himself, so maybe all his "I'm a normal man" is all a facade, and he hides something he doesn't want people to know for whatever reason. He's just, so enigmatic, so frustrating to think deeper about, which is something I like. (Yes, I like intellectual pain and headaches-)
I mean, I also think T*ey is someone who learns best through hands on experience, like how I explained here one time about how he loves Alchemy translate to it (the gist of it, more details in that post), and how he's failed multiple times in making Hamburg steak to become the professional, malewife chef and baker he is (from Birthday Suit interview), and that, don't flame me, I put VERY bluntly and simply:
Is why he's a coward, but you can't blame really him.
For someone who rather learn things through experience, it would probably mean he remembers things very well in order for him to understand, learn and use it for like, I don't know- tests- obviously-
but that same good memory of his is also why he probably didn't want to stop Riddle because from the Twisted Wonderland Comic, we see that T*ey was traumatised that of how broken and sad Riddle was because of his own "selfishness" (is that the right word?) in wanting to play with him. I guess in a way, they kinda insisted that Riddle plays with them, but the consequences of his own selfishness (which wasn't really selfish-) led to Riddle being more withdrawn and heartbroken, and recalling that same memory over and over and over again is what led T*ey to believe that he shouldn't do anything about it, or he'll make matters worse and cause his own friend to become more upset if he decides, by his own selfishness, to have Riddle stop his ridiculous strictness, of course, the irony being shit just got worse. Maybe that's why he does so much for others (sort of-), to avoid the messiness of crushing the other party's feelings if he were to be selfish.
He just doesn't know what to do in that situation because that's the only time he would experience it and nothing more, his maturity depth isn't so far into being "when is the right time to be assertive".
But... T*ey is someone I believe is someone who's caring, at least, to his family members, like the FCKING STARGAZER EVENT- I'M NEVER GONNA GET OVER THIS- LIKE HE FCKING GAVE ALL HIS HARD EARNED MONEY TO HIS YOUNGER BROTHER SO THAT HE COULD WATCH A MAGIFT GAME- IM FCKINDGDFDHFD
**Technical difficulties faced, we are trying to fix the dumbass**
Ahem, yes-
He's shrewd in literally Stargazer event, tricking Riddle to buy him that food processor he desired, FRICKIN' Lab Coat Personal Story like need I go on? He's a sneaky little gremlin which can further entail he's a good manipulator to get people to do or think as such if he so desired. He's THAT good which is kind of scary (why didn't I also circle if he existed I'd be a little scared of him?).
T*ey is so weird, on surface level he seems boring, but I like to think that he wants to for many reasons he won't say but we can all theorise, that's the beauty of T*ey, so much hidden, could-be-possible lore from him, a lot more deducing than obvious information of him thrown at us.
Also, now that I think about it, him not wanting to be the center of attention is also translated outside of the story as he has NO EVENT SSR- FCKING- T*EY- PLEASE- I KNOW IT’LL BE HARDER TO GET YOU BUT GIVE US ONE SSR EVENT CARD THAT’S NOT YOUR DAMN BIRTHDAY (which I didn’t simp scream over), OR FCKING SSR DORM UNIFORM DAMNIT HDGHDFGD- I HAD TOO HIGH HOPES FOR HALLOWEEN, DIDN’T I-
and also he's hot- I mean what-
Now... about the marrying part, I um... I-it's not that important... That... I don't know why I circled that but I'M TOO LAZY TO CHANGE NOW AHAHAHHA....
but GOSH, T*ey has always been radiating "big brother vibes" or "dad vibes" "my husband vibes" and just as someone as a friendly person, which is probably rare in NRC (I'm not saying definitely but at first eye would seem approachable and kinda is-), and I would throw my problems at him (which is me crying over Cookie Run Kingdom lore), but at the same time, I would like him to pour out his own problems, just a tad bit, or at least just let him know I am here for him. With whatever I said above, he might be exhausted, mentally and physically (from his own schoolwork and vice dorm duties), and I personally, no matter the person, just don't like to see them be all pent up and frustrated with themselves or with someone else because it's unhealthy (I won't force it, though).
Gosh... T*ey is just so weird and confusing that peeling his character layer by layer is actually a lot, but also very complicated, because the (direct) information given to us about him is quite little, and a lot the time is deducing from what he does, his character and behaviour in the series. BUT THAT'S SOMETHING I ROLE WITH- GOD I HATE HIM *kisses him*
but yeah, I'm gonna end it on this note because other things I want to say would just be time consuming and this post has been long enough- :")))))

🎨 What's your favorite art medium to use?
Hi!
🥳: My family has a tradition of the birthday person choses where to eat, so I will try to get experiences that I normally wouldn't be able to get or want to pay for. (This last birthday, I went to an upscale French restaurant!)
And I wasn't been able to do this the past year, but I'm a firm believer in sharing joy. So I will make something or do something to give to others. I will make cookies, cupcakes, volunteer, take extra time out of my day to make sure someone knows that they are cared for, basically anything to help make my day someone else's special day.
🦉: My first big squishmellow, the shark, is named Sir Williamson the Seventh. I bought him when I was 17. (I do love animals, but just haven't been able to name many. The one dog I named was Percy and we had to give her away.)
🎨: There's a couple different answers for this based on like type of art.
Traditional (Drawing, Painting, Sculpture): Brush Markers or Watercolor. I have always been fascinated by colors and how they mix, how technique can change how something looks or works. I think both of these show that really well
Digital: Photography. I have done multiple high level photography classes. I've tested into college credit for my photography. I've won awards for my photography. I love and adore photography with all of my heart, and I need to post some of them here. But that will happen eventually.
Textile!: Embroidery. There's such a skill needed to make something gorgeous and I'm constantly learning new tips and tricks. It's also very fun to hide it on clothing you already love or on loved ones clothing!
This got really long, sorry
Thank you for the ask though!!

Rose is rather open instead of keeping to herself, being a bit more cheerful when outside of combat. Her focus is on seeing if others need assistance first, or finding good places around the landship to sleep in. She has refused to remove her armor as of late, resoning it as uncomfortable and rather painful for herself.

Rose’s offensive capabilities are rather unusual. Even when using her flames, she tends to ignore how hot they can get, even when they start to burn at her arms and hands and need Medics to heal her. Oriopathy seems to have caused Rose to be hypoalgeniac, as she claims to "barely feel a thing" despite the damage done unto herself. And with flame temperatures reaching almost 1400 degrees C, I wonder if she even realizes how dangerous her flames can get.

History? Why you asking me about that, Doc Kal? Ok, ok, I won’t call you Kal! Kal’tsit, better? Anyway… So Victoria was ruled by Draco once? And there may not be many… Eh, not my problem.
What? I’m being honest here. I don’t care about that. I care about helping people, keeping us safe. I hate seeing people, innocent people die. I’ve seen it happen too many times out there, out with them. Reunion… A lot of people start out good, but then they go bad. And those bad people hurt innocents. History doesn’t matter to me, simple as that Kal’tsit.
Even then… Oh, ‘Ghost’ is telling me it’s time for the meds. I’ll see you later, Doc!

Rose’s current weapon is a broadsword that has a shift setting inside of it. Made using materials that no longer need to be replaced after every fight, the weapon has a smaller blade that helps channel her flame arts better. However, at higher heats, the material can warp and change, so she tends to focus on firing flames like how Lappland attacks at range to keep the weapon from taking too much heat. The broadsword section itself is melted in some areas, and Rose has designed it to seem more like a mix of a cleaver and a sword. Her reasoning for the shape was only,
“It reminds me of a friend I worked with once. In their memory.”

Ghost… Do you think they’re proud of me? I know you can’t talk back to me, just chime when my body is shit, but… I wonder if they’re proud.
Dad and the gang. They picked me up, and trained me up, and then we lost them all. Innocent lives because that fucker decided to… To do that shit! Turn on everyone because he could, because he wanted. I won’t end up like Lunarre. I can’t just go looking for him either.
I’ll meet him out there. Maybe he’s joined Reunion, or maybe Dunwall or whatever it’s called. But I’ll avenge them. The gang, Dad, all of the people from that village.
Hmm? Time already? Geez, thinking really does focus time doesn’t it?
