tall tales girl hits such a compelling set of tropes. like ok, firstly she's got the cute flirty young woman thing going; she leans even more heavily into the self-conscious eyelash-batting pseudo-innocence of that than most of supernatural's other comparable characters, since a lot of women presented as attractive on supernatural are either there to be Good Girls or Sexy Seductresses. tall tales girl seems more like someone out of a fairy tale than a character on supernatural, with her out-of-time (both by season and by decade) pale pink dress and her affected but still pretty authentic seeming demure flirtation style. because of the woman in white tropes spn does, we understand that that's what she is, but out of the context of spn she seems almost more like a fae girl you'd find in a forest clearing in a fantasy setting than a "ghost" on a high-americana monster hunting show.

and then the ghost angle which, well, that speaks for itself. supernatural does dangerous or endangered women in white (or "white") often and well. it's compelling! with the nod to the shining where she turns decayed and corpse-y while kissing the older man she's targeting, it's a great horror moment (bathtub lady from the shining holds a special place in my heart for being just really viscerally disturbing to me for whatever reason lol) — and she doesn't drop her attitude when her face rots and her eyes cloud over! she seems just as sweet as she did before! she never gives the impression that she's evil or even malicious, she's just a girl with a tenuous relationship to being alive looking for affection! it's on the professor dude that he got so worked up about her skin peeling off that he launched himself out of a window. smh. couldn't be me.

but basically this is a very delicate sort of person being portrayed here! she wants to impress this guy; she's a little self-conscious and a a little shy; she seems like it hurts her feelings when the prof guy recoils from her — she's performing bright-eyed fragility pretty earnestly here, from the moment she appears to the last we see of her, which is unusual for monsters and humans alike on spn. and it's weird, because under all of that, we know what she actually is!! a piece of one of the most powerful entities that exists in the show's universe! there's no need to drop the coy girlie act or dominance posture; she's the temporary face of a creature who is MUCH more in control of the situation than a ghost or zombie or ghoul or whatever else ever could be. i don't have a point with this i just like the layers i guess <3

My ex just texted me that our geography "teacher" [I have no idea what his qualifications were, if any, besides being a winning softball coach; class was frequently us reading the textbook while he read the sports section and our literature teacher specified "Mr. Geographyteacher is wrong" when telling us when/how to cite sources] has been arrested for sexual misconduct with a minor. To which I responded "Oh, wow, what a big surprise." And she said "Right?" What *is* surprising to me is that this is from a 15-years-ago student, as opposed to "Mr. Geographyteacher got too comfortable with it being an open secret and made a recent mistake." Though I suppose 15 years ago would still have given him a couple years of it being an open secret. But now I'm sitting here thinking about how fucked up it was that basically the entire student body knew [If oblivious me knew, everyone knew] at minimum that he'd propositioned the softball players [oblivious me does not know if students knew there was actual sexual contact], and he was still teaching/coaching. And that we treated it as a joke, something that we laughed at -- suchandsuch student never bathes, thisgirl was caught with her finger way up her nose in class, mr geographyteacher texted the softball girls that they should come over while his wife was away, That Guy still hasn't graduated. 15 years ago of course was when not every kid had a cell phone, cell phones did not take decent pictures, "group chats" were more "BCC:" than "Reply All:", facebook had only recently opened to those without a .edu email address... But some of that, surely, would make it harder for this open secret to stay secret? Gossip had to be out-loud in the hallway, couldn't be via snapchat, surely someone in authority could have heard this. I guess those softball trophies were a big deal.

;;~ The forest was bustling with life at the moment, Tighnari was lead into onre of the huts as the excited forest ranger lead him over to what sounded like a door. what on earth was thisgirl up too now, he couldn’t help but sigh though as he couldnot see where he was walking. “Collei where exactly are you leading me?” he asked out in curiousity.

the forest ranger gladly followed her as she now allowed him to open his eyes. When he did the Fox looked down only to notice the bounty before him and smiled. 

Did she make all this herself? he began to think to himself before finding his trainee hugging him with sniffles. “Wait collei why are you crying?” He asked out worried, did he respond badly to her gift tighnari didn’t mean to make her cry. Though He heard her words. 

With a soft sigh he hugs her back before darwing back and placing a hand on her head ruffling her hair as he smiled. 

“You big lumix.. you didn’t have to do all this for me... did you even sleep today, you shouldn’t push yourself so much.” 

Despite his deminor Tighnari cared alot and was veary happy that she remebered his special day even if she skipped rest and work to do so.  “How about we share this together then?” Tighnari suggest with a smile on his face. 

 “Just for today though, and after this you go get some rest, no arguments.” He scolded her lightly before his tail began to wag.
