5. How affectionate are they? What are their top love languages?

MINAH — she's like... medium affectionate? she doesn't avoid affection but she also doesn't seek it out. she's mostly a physical touch + acts of service gal, but she doesn't go in for a lot of physical touch these days. you want to get on her good side, gifts are also very big for her (receiving more than giving, unless you count the acts of service as the gift-giving) VESPER — incredibly affectionate but it takes her a long time to work up to displaying it openly. quality time and acts of service are her big ones, though she also very much enjoys physical touch with the right like, four people.

10. Favorite place? Do they go there often?

MINAH — these days she really doesn't have one; she travels too much for it. as a kid she had a hideaway (maybe outside of town? maybe just out of the house?) where she could sit under a big tree and hang out, sometimes alone and sometimes with friends. obviously she doesn't go there anymore. VESPER — there are a couple places she's visited in her travels where she wouldn't mind lingering—the emerald graves, some parts of crestwood, unexpectedly beautiful parts of the world hidden away from the violence and the war. in skyhold, she tends to retreat to the ramparts when she needs a little space. it's nice to look at the sky and remember to breathe; she doesn't feel quite so hemmed in when she's up high

14. Choose an AU you think would be interesting for them to be a part of. Who would they be?

MINAH — this is tricky to get into without spoilers. I think in a better world she'd be a lot of fun to drop in a dance au. in a worse world, hunger games 100%. all that pageantry, all that death :) VESPER — I love love love an apostate au vesper. I'd drop her in kirkwall post-DA2 Act 3, just smack in the middle of that nightmare. I think it would be fun. I also think she should befriend hawke and co.

15. Are they the type to adopt strays (animals or people?) What or who have they “adopted” over the years?

MINAH — minah is the kind of person who would swear up down and sideways she doesn't want a pet and she's not adopting anyone and she can't be bothered to look after anything longterm and then would end up with a stray anyway and get really protective about them. rhydian better watch out VESPER — she's definitely adopted a couple apprentices in her time—she remembers being young and scared and lonely and she's got a big heart and a desire to help. inquisition kinda limits her bandwidth, but she's still taking people under her wing—cole's the most obvious example, but there are definitely others out there who might be surprised to find enchanter trevelyan looking out for them (ellana I'm looking at u)

20. How many friends do they have?

MINAH — really depends on how you define friend to be honest. on the one hand, so many! alternately, none. she's definitely friendly with a wide spread of folk, and she'll call people friend even when they maybe aren't really. this isn't really an answer but it's the one she'd give so #onbrand VESPER — well she's got the inner circle who are obviously ride or die for her. among them she's got a few she's besties with (bull, dorian, solas, varric) and a few who are more like treasured coworkers. then there are a few people outside the circle she's close to (krem, scout harding, a couple misc NPCs). and there were a couple friends she had in the Circle too (tho I guess she might not know if they're alive or not. yikes). low double digits I guess? 20ish?

In the manga Fuyumi originally has blue eyes, while in the anime she has grey eyes (which I don't know why they changed it). What do you consider more canon, well what are her eyecolores based in your opinion?

Honestly I didn't even notice the difference until it was pointed out to me because the only colored illustration we have of Fuyumi is in that back cover, and that's fairly late in the series. So I'm kinda attached to the idea of her gray eyes and I've described them like that in my fics so far. When it comes to physical appearances I tend to stick to the image I first saw when consuming a series. So for example the same thing happened with Yahaba from haikyuu, and I kept picturing him with brown hair instead of his manga silver.

There are exceptions, though! For example I'm very biased about preferring Shigaraki's manga white to the anime pale blue of his hair. Tho for cosplays I tend to prefer anime colors for accuracy and recognizability since it's annoying when people say that your stuff is "inaccurate" because it follows manga canon. (still mad about Bones changing Hawks' color pallette for the same reason btw hhhh)

Basically, I am a mess, don't ask me to explain why I even have those preferences bc I don't know either dbdhsjhdx

Typically I am one of those people who gets really annoyed when anime adaptations get the details wrong, but for some things I'm more willing to let it slide. Generally speaking, though, I don't tend to consider anime canon as canon, personally, if only because the mangakas only have full control of the choices in the original work. I know they give guidelines to the animators but not always does that achieve an ideal result. Again, see the mistake in Shigaraki's hair color. It's fairly obvious that they based it off the cover of volume 3,

And I assume they didn't double check with Horikoshi if that was accurate. Shigaraki's hair is supposed to be white (as also shown but all the other covers and color spreads he appears in), but manga covers play with lighting and artistic renditions of colors a lot.

The blue of Nagant's hair looks slightly different in every illustration Hori has colored so far, for example:

I almost bought a purple wig because of the picture in the middle.

So, the difference between anime and manga canon might just be a lack of communication between Horikoshi and the anime team, or a genuine assumption based on the association that the kids who take after Rei's quirk are colored with her pallet, and the kids who take after Enji with his.

I guess what's "canon" depends on what medium you prefer / consume. If you asked me what's her "true" eye color I would say blue because that's how the creator draws her, but if you only consume the anime that will be your only frame of reference and you'll answer gray 🤷

Not a bad drawer but he rather keep it basic

Has a small sketchbook with him and he'll always doodle when he's bored or in a middle of a lecture (while taking notes of course)

His main skill in drawing tho is painting

The colors blends in so well with one another and he's good at picking color palettes

Also, he doesn't really get that annoyed if some kids from his class ask him to teach them how to draw

Or even look through his sketchbook

He'll just nod and hand it to them without a second thought

The best that he can do is doodles of owls and other shits but other than that, he cannot do

“Huh, this looks good,”

But lemme tell ya, his sketches are GODLY, like, have you seen those pinterest hand sketches?

Onaga cannot properly hold the black pen and do the lineart, it’ll always turn wonky and he had to throw it away

He’ll also suck at coloring

Mans cannot understand how the color blend in together

Another decent drawer and her drawings are almost the same as Akaashi’s

But instead of it looking pretty, it looks cute

I have a headcanon that Kaori have a journal and does journaling so that’s prolly the reason why her drawings are cute af

But honestly, her drawings sometimes depends on her mood,

If she’s mad or frustrated, her drawing would look kinda rough and not that cute anymore

If she’s feeling happy tho, It’ll look so nice and cuddly does that even make any sense

Isn’t necessarily an art kid but would love to try be one

And she totally have drawing sessions with Washio aaaaaa,

The only reason why I started with Gin is because he have some amazing drawing skills

He admit that he’s not an art kid but draws godly as if he had been thought since he was a kid,

Well, actually yes

I think Ginjima actually wanted to be a drawer when he was still a little kid way before he started his 3rd year of middle school

So he practiced a few and became a nice drawer since then,

But he kinda quit being a drawer and decided to go with volleyball

And guess what?

His drawing talent is still there

He totally specialize in pencil drawing cause that’s the first thing he started learning

A pretty decent drawer

Akagi always draw happy and cute drawings so you’ll also get happy when you saw his drawings

And sometimes it looks, bizzare in others...

He’s from class 7 AND I really think that he’ll be good at drawing

Well, he can draw a few things but he struggles drawing other things he never accustomed to

But!

Oomimi is that kid who’s good at drawing scenery

He knows basic color palettes and which is cold and hot colors

So the scenery drawing would always look good

He get a lot of compliments for the drawing (50% of it from Akagi)

I think he doesn’t have that many time to relax and draw freely but when he does have it, it’ll just be small and simple doodles

Aran

I truly believe that Aran can draw peoples face but in a pretty decent amount

He’s also good with anatomy teach me your ways king

But as much as he’s good at that, he kinda sucks at drawing any kind of background drawings

Mans can’t draw a scenery I’m telling you

As if the background doesn’t even exist in his mind lolol I’m sorry Aran lovers, I didn’t mean that in a bad way

Mainly uses copic markers to color and color pencils to shade

The first time he use the copic marker, he got really frustrated that the marker stain the other pages lmao

And he never uses digital drawing applications or softwares

Aran just doesn’t

I think I’ll rate him, 8.5/10

Kita

Okay, I know that Kita’s a top student and never fails in anything

But he’s not typically a good drawer that much

His drawing still got good marks but when you look at it, it just looks normal

I just know that the Kita lovers gonna get me after this

It’s not that bad and not that good, just a nice balance in between

I personally think Kita’s not that godly in drawing but rather a neutral drawer

He draw what he can and does shading and coloring when it’s needed

The colors are all basic colors, no pastel, no neon

And the shadings are pretty basic

Just a normal drawer here

I'm not sure if you've answered something similar before (I can't find it if you have but knowing tumblrs terrible search function that's not saying much) but why do you write such dark sexual stories? What is it that you find so appealing in these twisted tales? Please understand this is from a point of good faith - I'm not judging and I enjoy dark stories and erotica both, only seperately. I'm just morbidly curious as to why you enjoy the combination as I see no appeal in it personally

oof, just a nice easy question to answer on a friday night, anon. okay. there’s a lot of answers to this question, depending on how personal i want to get and also like... which stories you’re talking about.

some stories i write that could be considered “darkly sexual” are categorically erotica. stuff involving weird, niche kinks, or monsters, or “dub-con” (which is not a real thing, i know, it’s a fantasy erotica thing)... the appeal there is, idk, whatever the fantasy is. they are, in my mind, written as fantasies - a fic where a character doesn’t want sex and then ends up "enjoying” having a monster lay eggs in them is obviously not what happens irl. eggs aside, no one ends up actually enjoying sexual assault. they’re written (from my side) with the air of “irl this would be Utterly Reprehensible, but what i’m essentially writing here is like... a roleplay session between two consenting partners where i am both partners”. it’s all fantasy! it’s all fake! it’s a bdsm scene or whatever where they’re both pretending/playing a role, except it’s just me writing it out with little finger puppets (either for my amusement/titillation, or the amusement/titillation of others).

then there’s... Other Stuff. see also, a lot of my percy and ripley fics. and i find it interesting that people often read those as fetish stuff because, whilst they do have sex in them, those are fundamentally horror stories. the appeal i get out of them is the same as whump/darkfic. when i write about horrible, traumatising sex where one person clearly doesn’t enjoy it, that is not a sexual fantasy for me. characters roleplaying at it, sure, me playing fingerpuppets with it, sure. but something deeply and fundamentally focused on the trauma and violation of that kind of thing is not, for me, sexual (and if what you’re getting off on is the actual nonconsent, rather than the playing at/silly version of nonconsent, i have some questions/concerns. this seems like a weird and not-really-there line, but it’s surprisingly obvious and disconcerting when someone/a fic crosses it tbh). what i get out of that is a deep sense of catharsis. i’ve gone into why i think i (and others) get this catharsis a little in my meta tag and this specific post - but, at the end of the day, i don’t exactly know. 

i think, perhaps, it is that i am a very sad person sometimes, and a very angry person sometimes, and in real life i spend a lot of time keeping both of those things hidden and pressed down, and... there has to be some kind of release valve for those emotions. with fiction, i have a safe way of managing that, both reading and writing - i can be both aggressor and victim, no one gets hurt (i find the thought of hurting people abhorrent; i nearly passed out once because a stranger was in pain from a dislocated shoulder, despite the lack of visible injury. hyperempathy is wild), i get to work through a whole bunch of psychological shit from various stuff i won’t go into... i often refer to writing as a release, or a valve, or a way to ease the pressure inside my head, or a form of venting. 

as to why sexual assault often shows up in these stories... i do frequently write whump without sexual assault, but it’s also like. a) a bunch of personal stuff that i don’t give enough of a shit to talk about, but it’s there, and b) sex and sex-adjacent stuff (often rape and assualt, but even consensual stuff!) has such a fascinating way of crystallising character/power dynamics, or stripping people bare, or exposing vulnerability, or dragging up really awful, messy, scary, painful, confusing stuff. and that makes it often a really good target when you (like me) want all those emotions in your writing because you’re using it as a pressure-valve vent, and as a way to safely experience and work through them. writing about difficult or traumatic relationships to the self, the body, to sex and to other people... sex is really good for all of that stuff. idk.

also, sometimes fics end up a weird mix of the two. i can’t think of any off the top of my head for cr, but for yogs (my previous fandom) i wrote a handful of things for a character that was essentially straight out of a horror movie and another monster character, with some real questionable consent stuff. 50% of that was “this is horrible and manipulative and just. really fucking Awful” and 50% of that was “hrnghghgh tentacles hot” so like. yknow. my brain is a weird mess i guess, is the takeaway message here.

(sometimes, there’s also an element of “can i get myself into this headspace” or “this is an interesting technical exercise” - i wrote something a while back about ripley masturbating to the memory of torturing percy, and that falls into this category. that wasn’t a fetish/fantasy thing, that was a character study, using sex as a medium to work through ripley’s obsessive, violent thoughts and strip away the veneer of imparitiality she so loves to pretend she has.)

idk how well this explains it - this is something i spend a lot of brain-power analysing on a regular basis, because i am constantly nosy about how my brain works and why it works in these weird, angular, fucked-up kinds of ways (not just with writing, the adventures of being autistic means i spend a Lot of time analysing myself to make sure i’m calibrating my interactions with other people correctly). i still haven’t entirely worked it out, and a lot of the stuff i have worked out is personal/messy enough i both don’t want to and can’t be arsed to explain it to strangers on the internet. i hope it’s given a Bit of an explanation tho, and if there’s a specific fic that prompted this comment, feel free to ask me about it specifically, bc i might be able to offer a little more insight as to my thought processes for like... a specific example i guess.

HI SORRY FOR THE LATE REPLY the ask notification got buried under a lot of stuff :,D ill b rlly real here n admit that i had to reread these headcanons just bc its been so long since i wrote them LMAO life moves fast!! i think id end up sorting the other girls like this though: 

eli: hufflepuff. eli defies easy sorting, which is why i rlly love her!! she’s one of those characters where you could argue a p good case for her to be in any of the houses n there’ll b plenty of material to back you up. but my favorite house for her is hufflepuff bc she’s just.... such a dad... she belongs there among the badgers. i don’t consider eli particularly courageous in the way that gryff exemplifies bc she loves to dither over things and has Anxiety: Idol Fest, and for all that she’s a nerd i don’t think she’s much of a ravenclaw either. so tender-hearted, hardworking n upright eli for hufflepuff!! she might seem like a cool hardass on the outside but rlly, in her heart she’s always having a butterbeer and chocolate chip cookies in the kitchen alongside hanayo. eli, by the by, probably inherits the magic from her grandma and grows up treasuring the stories that her grandma passes on.

nico: slytherin. she’s,,,,, such a slytherin?? burning w ambition yeah n full of cunning ideas, but she’s also extremely loyal to those she considers her friends n family. she’s hardworking n has an unrelenting sense of personal values too!! good big sis nico yazawa whose also unashamed of wanting something beautiful for herself and owning her dreams.... i love HER!! she’s a muggleborn constantly punching up to make a space for herself in the wizarding world

nozomi: also slytherin. i feel like other ppl have written rlly lovely things ab nozomi being a slytherin kid n why it works so my ultimate breakdown would just be: im gay, i like it, n im not separating nozonico, now or ever!! i also don’t think that nozomi’s a pureblood, but like eli, she definitely has magic in her family--particularly a talent for divination. she befriended nico in their first year on the hogwarts express n was rlly shy n goofy n awkward, which nico thought was rlly charming. then they got sorted into the same house n became roommates, n then nico broke through personality proxy one n 2 to unlock the Deep Nozomi (tm). she complains that she regrets it every day, but she doesn’t. she doesn’t in the least. 

maki: ravenclaw. i don’t think i’m qualified enough to rlly go into why, but i don’t think i need to either. what a nerdy kid!! of course she’d be in ravenclaw. im rlly attached to the concept of her being the muggleborn heiress to a prestigious hospital n having to juggle between her love of muggle physical sciences and the bizarre scientific laws that govern the wizarding world. she can bond w kotori over being torn btw two worlds!! (edit: i just realized that maki’s all alone in ravenclaw, which actually suits me just fine?? maki kind of seems like the person to easily get lonely once she realizes that she has Friends n that they don’t share a lot of time together, so i think her being the only ravenclaw in muse could b the catalyst that eventually pushes her out of her shell n leads to her doing smth rlly out of character in her eyes n admitting that she loves n treasures her friends) she ends up being head girl in her last year n is so awkward about it

hanayo: hufflepuff. hanayo, like eli, has moments of courage n when push comes to shove will chase her dreams n ambitions against the odds, but the thing is that i don’t think she aspires to bravery?? the way i read her focus episodes in the anime was that she was stepping out of her comfort zone, but that she was glad to do it too and that she was proud of herself for it; it’s a quiet sort of drive and focus that suits hufflepuff more than gryffindor. i think it’d be cute if hanayo were ravenclaw so that she could hold maki’s hand in the library and stuff, but listen. listen. hufflepuff hanayo? is good. idk what hanayo’s backstory should be, bc the wizarding world doesn’t exactly have an equivalent for school idols and her backstory is constantly in flux depending on which love live medium you choose to consume. it’d be rlly hilarious if both she n nico were die hard quidditch fans tho 

rin: gryffindor. she’s a brave, brave girl!!! one moment that rlly cemented rin as a gryffindor for me was when she was ready to throw hands n fist fight maki, a complete stranger, just bc she thought that maki was intruding onto what rin considered to be hanayo’s decision in the s1 first year’s episode!! what a gryffindor mood?? i also think she’d rlly jive w hufflepuff, tho not enough for her to be considered for the house. she’s the second gryffindor chaser n becomes captain once umi graduates!! i put her as the seeker initially, but ultimately i don’t think rin would care to spend like, 90% of the game flying around doing nothing but squinting for some tiny golden ball. she wants to fly around and participate with the team!! im p set on her being a muggleborn; hanayo’s probably from a magic family n breaks rules to talk to rin ab magic, n when they were kids rin would listen to hanayo gushing ab all the stuff she loves ab the wizarding world while wishing that she could b w hanayo in that universe; well guess what rin!! ur a wizard!!
