Sorry this took me a bit to get to, the dress was not in my possession since it was a gift for my friend, but I borrowed it to make some repairs! (honestly for not making a test patch and then sending thru the durability test that is dancing and jumping around for an MCR cover band I'm surprised the casualties were kept to like, one or two strands)

Also here's a video of it in motion! Since pics don't capture how much the beads sparkle plus how much motion the dangly bits have

I'll take closeups of the suit when I have the time n add em to this post, hopefully tomorrow?

Okay, but serious question: what is the context behind this photo of Gerard Way? or, for a better question, where did this originate??

According to the minimum I'm getting from Google Lens, it was taken from the revenge era, and that's all I got

The photo seems so out of context. I originally thought it was a heavily edited and cut out photo from some photoshoot or a photo with a friend/fan. However the photo I had initially before this one, and the one that initially made me curious, was in square format, and seeing this in full, rectangular form kinda debunks the idea that this was a cut out photo of Gerard.

The only sources on Google Lens I see are from Wattpad and Tumblr links that don't leave much information, hell, this photo I'm using is from a Tumblr link itself!

Of course, this could just be a random photo of Gerard taken after some concert that was archived and whatnot, but it still intrigues me.

So how i see it: the demolition lovers have to run away and hide from vampires together. They are very much in love. She gets bitten by a vampire and he has to decide whether or not to k1ll her because otherwise she would bite him too. Technically she’s already d3ad as she’s been bitten. He does it to save himself and probably a lot of people. Then (moving to three cheers for sweet revenge) he misses her so much he makes a deal with the devil to see her again. He has to k1ll 1000 evil men to do so. And he does so. Then when he goes back to the devil to see the other demolition lover, the last evil man he has to k1ll is himself because he has just k1lled the other demolition lover, and either 999 or 1000 evil men, making him evil. And we never find out whether they are reunited, just that he gave up everything to see her again.

That’s how i see it idk how accurate it is though.

I highly rec the reread but I may be biased because the final empire books are my favorite books of all time. even though I’m on like my fifth reread of them right now, it’s been many years since I did and they’re hitting all the emotions in completely new ways. highly recommend join the suffering.

i am also an era 1 enjoyer and a final empire enjoyer specifically......there really is smth about tfe that is like. Perfect. its not obviously and i criticize mistborn like im getting paid for it but i mean it is just such a well constructed book that marsh's volte face and the rashek reveal and vin my girl vin still take my breath away. and of course the fresh eyes that knowing what goes down in era 2/secret history bring to the table. the problem with starting a mistborn reread is that im scared im gonna read final empire again and be like ok :) and just not finish the rest of the series

CATASTROPHE STRUCK

Lmfaoooo so I was pouring the pie filling into the crusts. Then taste tested only to find HEY, THATS NOT SWEET... I forgot to put the fucking sugar lmfao

So I was like. No Problem, I'll just pour the filling back and add the sugar,

But. The fucking crust.. crumbled INTO THE BOWL,,,,,,,,

So. Uh.

I was careful with the 2nd one and spooned it back in so the crust is intact. But the first one is Uhhhh a vague suggestion of a pie, aka pie with the crust mixed into the filling hfkshkf bc I'm unwilling to let a whole pie go to waste. Fuck that.

So! They're not perfect. But they will still taste good 😌
