got to episode 92 and i don't think the whole daisy/basira/jon scene is meant to be funny, but like. the whole thing is hilarious. basira's entire argument is just "jon couldn't have killed those people, look how pathetic he is," and jon's just sitting there groveling like my dude this is helping your case but it is definitely not helping your reputation

I think Mike Crew is one of my favorite avatars!

Struck by lightning as a child and haunted by a twisting fractal shape through his life, he interacts with books aligned to the corruption, the flesh, and (I believe) the eye, before giving himself to the vast and successfully becoming an avatar!

And on top of that he's got a badass scar, a very polite demeanor, and a really nice voice!

I can't wait to hear more from him throughout the stor-

Ps, mad props to Jon's voice acting this episode! The whole kidnapping he sounds like he's in genuine distress!

Jonny really took Mike Crew (and Jurgen Leitner for that matter) and said let's introduce a character that has been built up for the longest time and kill them almost immediately :D

I've been thinking recently about what would have happened if Daisy had never barged in on Jon and Micheal in episode 91...

Micheal had clearly had enough, but I sincerely doubt that Jon had heard enough. Although Micheal gave a hefty statement, he shared very little information that Jon was actually after. He knew what he wanted to say and he said it.

Jon at this point was clearly willing to go to any and all lengths to find out what he needed to know, and was more than a bit suicidal in its pursuit. He asks Jude Perry to kill him if she won't tell him, and i think this displays his desperation well; it would be less painful to be dead than it would be to not know.

And Micheal wasn't weak- without hesitation he sent Jon into an internal freefall just so he could get him to shut up, imagine what he'd be willing to do if Jon openly defied his command, refused to leave. He's got absolutely no qualms about throwing people off buildings, and is very open about his willingness to kill, so Daisy's arrival could've been a mercy even if Basira hadn't shown up to save him.

Is it worse to be tormented prey or to face the terrifying draw of gravity? Is that inevitable crunching, splitting meeting with the ground worse than feeling the blood pour out of your open throat?

#There's so many different ways it could've gone and the 'what if' s are fascinating to think about #It's my favourite episode for many reasons‚ so it's always on my mind! Mike Crew sounds a LOT like Tim to me. There was a minute where I thought Jon had legit snuck back into the institute.

Jon really needs to stop meeting these people. This man asked him an obviously personal question and hopefully learned a hard lesson.

You know, for being so mad about Jon asking him questions, he sure is giving his entire life story here... "Twisting Deceit" we have our newest god.

Oh, Daisy just beat the shit out of Mike... did she just shoot Jon?! No, shot Mike apparently. Well, he was short lived.

Wait, what?! Jon can force people to talk? Holy shit, that's why the cult leaders were so mad when he asked questions! It makes so much more sense now.

Oh, they're going after Elias now... fun.

Does anyone know which episode of TMA Journal of a Plague Year was recorded on? I know it’s mentioned in MAG 80 by Lightner and again by Mike Crew in MAG 91, but I can’t figure out when the actual statement was given. I’ve tried googling it but all the references are to the real Journal of a Plague Year, or to the aforementioned episodes where it’s mentioned. I know there was an episode, something about a guy who found it and sent passages in to the Institute, but I can’t track his statement down
